THE RADIO GOES OFF AND ON AND THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE COMING ON AT THE SAME TIME. *TR
ON THE ELECTRICAL PART ..MY CAR TRIES TO START IT I REPORTED THIS BEFORE AND NOW MY AIRBAG LIGHTS KEEP COMING ON AND OFF. *TR
IT LOOSES POWER. ALL DASH LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING, THE RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF AND THE CAR LOOSES POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING (THIS IS MAJOR AND I'VE HAD A FEW SCARY MOMENTS WHILE TURNING). AT TIMES THE KEY WILL GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND IT WILL NOT START. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE KEY OUT IS TO POP THE HOOD AND JIGGLE THE BATTERY CABLE, IT WILL THEN RELEASE THE KEY. ALL THESE ISSUES HAPPEN DAILY. I HAVE NO WARNING LIGHTS THAT STAY ON CONSISTENTLY.*DT*JB
TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FROM 5TH GEAR TO 2ND RANDOMLY AT 70 MPH.
WARNING LIGHT COMES ON SAY STEERING AND TRACTION LIGHT AND SAID SERVICE STEERING AND MY ENGINE COME ON CODE WAS O2 AND 01 I HAD ALOT PROBLEMS WITH SENSOR THE CAR WAS IN REPAIR SHOP 11 TIME THE FIRST 3 YEAR I MAKE COMPLAINTS TRY TO GET NEW CAR FROM GM THEY SAID NO
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT BECAME AWARE OF ANTI FREEZE ON THE GROUND. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE WATER PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING CEASED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE STEERING REGAINED NORMAL FUNCTIONALITY. OURISMAN CHEVROLET BUICK GMC OF ALEXANDRIA (1800 OLD RICHMOND HWY, ALEXANDRIA, VA 22303, 571-366-8047 WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. AN APPOINTMENT WAS NOT SCHEDULED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
WITH THIS CONDITION,THE RADIO/HVAC DISPLAY TURNS OFF AND ON; THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM, SERVICE STABILITRAC AND STEERING VEHICLE MESSAGES MAY COME ON AND OFF; THE TURN SIGNAL SOUND MAY NOT BE HEARD; 'BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE' AND 'SERVICE STEERING' WERE DISPLAYED IN THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (DIC); AND THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTING FLICKERED. RECENTLY POWER STEERING ASSIST WAS ALSO LOST, AND GREATER EFFORT MAY BE NEEDED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT LOW SPEEDS OR WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED.
THIS VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW AND IS ONLY 6 YEARS OLD. WHY AM I HAVING TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON THIS VEHICLE?!! I'VE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR JERKING AND RIDING ROUGH FOR OVER A YEAR BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP (SUPERIOR CHEVROLET IN DECATUR, GA) SWEARS THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THAT I NO LONGER HAVE A WARRANTY, I NEED TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER.
THE SHIFTER WILL NOT SHIFT FROM 56TH AND A MANUAL ON THE AUTOMATIC
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT START UP, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. A MESSAGE DISPLAYED WHICH STATED THAT THE AIR CONDITION WAS OFF DUE TO HIGH TEMPERATURE. WHILE DRIVING AT 15 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO KLIK LEWIS LOCATED AT (720 E MAIN ST, PALMYRA, PA 17078, 717-838-1353) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS DEFECTIVE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK STARTED TO MELT WHICH CAUSED THE HOSES TO BE FUSED TO THE TANK AND CAUSED THE SENSOR TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,557.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A 45MPH ROAD AND THE VEHICLE FELT LIKE IT WAS HESITATING TO ACCELERATE. THE RPM'S WENT UP TO 6000 AND THE SERVICE STABILTRAK MESAGE CAME UP. THE ENGINE FELT SHAKY AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANY HEAT. I TOOK THE CAR IMMEDIATELY TO MY MECHANIC AND THEY SAID THE COIL PACK AND PLUGS WERE BAD AND REPAIRED THEM.
MY HEAT STOPPED WORKING WHEN IT WAS 8DEGREES OUT, BY THE TIME I GOT TO WORK MY CAR SIGNALED ON SCREEN IT WAS OVER HEATING AND TO IDLE ENGINE. I PULLED INTO GAS STATION BOUGHT SOME COOLANT, LET ENGINE COOL DOWN DROVE THE REST OF THE WAY TO WORK AND THEN BACK HOME. WHEN I GOT HOME ENGINE FAN BEGAN COMING (USUALLY NEVER HEAR IT) CALLED MECHANIC HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS OVER PHONE BC HE SEES THE PROBLEM ALL OF THE TIME. WATER PUMP LEAKING AND A MELTED VALVE FROM OVER HEATING ENGINE. GOT BOTH PARTS FIXED $900 LATER.
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR FLICKERS THE RADIO IN AND OUT AND THEN THE RADIO GOS COMPLETELY OUT AND SERVICE STABILITY TRACKER AND SERVICE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL POPS UP OR THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS AND SERVICE POWER STEERING POPS UP AND THE CAR SHUT OFF RIGHT THEN AND THERE.
MY STABILY TRACK LIGHTS ARE ON DURING MOTION
EVER SINCE OWNING THE CRUZE, WE'VE HAD NOTHING BUT ENGINE ISSUES. FIRST THE TURBO WENT OUT A MONTH AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR. TWO THERMOSTATS AND A COMPLETE OIL FLUSH. THE ENGINE BLEW AT 104,023 MILES. THE CAR WAS FLASHING ENGINE LIGHT AND STABILTRACT LIGHT. THE CAR SINCE OWNING HAS MADE A VERY LOUD TICKING NOISE. THE CAR ALSO HAD A HARD TIME MAINTAINING SPEED. ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION. THIS HAPPENED ANY TIME THE VEHICLE SPEED WAS OVER 30MPH.
WHEN I DRIVE MY VEHICLE MY BRAKES WORK FINE MOST OF THE TIME. FROM TIME TO TIME WHEN I'M AT A RED LIGHT THE PEDAL WILL SLOWLY START TO GO ALL THE WAY DOWN AND CAR WILL START MOVING FORWARD. I HAVE TO RELEASE IT AND QUICKLY PUMP THE BRAKE AGAIN TO STOP IT. THEN THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN JUST A FEW TIMES; WHEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT ON REVERSE MY BRAKES WON'T RESPOND AND THE CAR WILL JUST GO BACKWARDS AND I HAVE TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER WAY OF STOPING IT. NOW I DO NOT WANT TO HIT ANY VEHICLE OR PERSON!!!! I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO SHOPS TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT BUT NO ONE SEAMS TO FIND THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE BREAKERS HAVE NO VISIBLE ISSUES. ALSO ONE REVERSE LIGHT IF NOT BOTH AT TIMES, WILL STAY ON WHILE DRIVING.
CAR SHAKES WHEN AT RED LIGHT OR JERKS WHEN PULLING OFF.THE ENGINE ALSO OVERHEATS.
My engine light came on and I took it to two different local mechanics and both confirmed the issue was the catalyst converter. One informed there was a recall and after some research found it was true. I called my dealership and they told me it was vin specific and that mine was not pulling up any recalls. I search on this website and indeed no recalls. This issue started at around 50k miles and they did not want to take any responsibility. It is what it is but I plan to drive the car like that as long as I can.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON JAN 2 ON A 4 LANE ROAD IN THE RAIN AT 45 MPH AND MY CAR HYDROPLANED AND HIT THE GUARD RAID HEAD-ON SEVERAL TIMES. MY CAR WAS TOTALED, BOTH FRONT TIRES CAME OFF. MY SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BUT THE FRONT AIRBAGS DINNOT DEPLOY. MY INSURANCE COMPANY SAID I SHOULD REPORT THIS TO YOU, IN LOOKING AT THE TOTALED VEHICLE THEY FELT THE FRONT AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED.
I HAD MY STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON MY VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING DOWN A NORMAL CITY ROAD IN SUNLIGHT ON A CLEAR WARM DAY AND MY VEHICLE STARTED IDLING VERY ROUGHLY WHILE DRIVING AND I WAS RIGHT BY AUTOZONE SO THEY RAN CODES AND FOUND OUT IT SAID KNOCK SENSOR AND MISFIRE. WELL I DROVE IT HOME 5 MINS DOWN THE STREET AND PARK IT. WELL I TAKE IT TO MY MECHANIC THE FOLLOWING MORNING AND HE DOES A DIAGNOSTIC AND PISTON CHECK AND TURNS OUT MY SPARK PLUG BURNED SO BAD IT WAS BURNED AWAY WHERE THE L HOOK IS. AND FOUND OUT THAT IT BROKE IN MY COMBUSTION CHAMBER SOMEWHERE . NOW I HAVE TO GET THIS ALL FIXED AND ITS COSTING A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS.
WE HAVE A WELL MAINTAINED 2014 CHEVY CRUISE . IT'S MY DAUGHTERS CAR AND IT COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING IT ..... DANGEROUS . THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS OUT THERE BUT NO ONE SEEMS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT .
WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS(70 MPH) THE CAR SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED AND REVVED THE ENGINE VERY HIGH(6,000 RPM). THE CAR LOST SPEED AND WOULD NOT DOWNSHIFT. PUNCHED THE GAS AND ENGINE RETURNED TO NORMAL. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON SHORTLY THEREAFTER. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY STATE TURBOCHARGER IS BAD. THE CAR ONLY HAS 62,000 MILES ON IT.
INTAKE MANIFOLD COVER AND GASKET HAS HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE ALREADY ONCE AT 30000 AND ONCE AT 65000 MILES. PART FAILURE PRODUCES A LOUD SCREAMING NOISE AND RESTRICTS AIR INTAKE INTO THE ENGINE CAUSING VERY ROUGH IDLING AND LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. A RECALL FOR THIS PART WAS ISSUED ON SIMILAR MODELS, BUT NOT FOR THE CRUZE ECO. THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE ECO MODELS. *TR
CHEVY CRUZE 2014 WILL TURN OFF WHEN I TURN ON THE AC. THE CAR ALWAYS THINKS IT IS OVERHEATING. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW NO MILES ON IT IN 2014. I ALWAYS HAVE ISSUES WITH THIS CAR. ALREADY HAD THE BATTERY CHANGE THREE TIMES. I HAD TO CHANGE THE THERMOSTAT RECENTLY. THE FRONT WINDOWS MOTOR STOP WORKING.
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY DIESEL CRUZE THREW A CODE STATING 'DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID QUALITY POOR SEE OWNERS MANUAL 99 MILES TILL 65MPH' WE TOOK IT STRAIGHT AWAY TO THE DEALERSHIP SPENT TWO HOURS THERE FOR THEM TO SAY EVERYTHING WAS FINE THIS WAS THE END OF NOVEMBER. USED OUR OTHER VEHICLE TO GO ON VACATION FOR HALF OF DECEMBER BACK AND DRIVING THE CRUZE AGAIN IT'S NOW THROWING THE SAME EXACT CODE.. MAYBE 200 MILES ON IT SINCE THE LAST TIME IN THE SHOP... WILL BE TAKING IT BACK IN THE MORNING (THE GUY STATED LAST TIME HE DIDN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT) HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BECAUSE I CAN'T MAKE IT TO ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP BEFORE IT SHUTS ME DOWN TO 4MPH.
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO FULL ROTATIONS BUT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD
SOMETIMES MY CAR TURNS OFF OUT OF NO WHERE WHILE IM TURNING. SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT AIRBAGS ON THE SCREEN AND THAN TURNS OFF. WHEN IM AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR WANTS TO TURN OFF. WHEN IM DONE PUTTING GAS AND I TURN IT BACK ON IT TAKES A WHILE TO TURN BACK ON. IT HAS BEEN DOING IT BEFORE AND IT HAD STOPPED FOR A WHILE BUT ITS STARTING AGAIN. ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET HIT WHEN IT TURNED OFF WHILE I WAS TURNING AFTER A STOP SIGN AND ABOUT TO GO ON THE HIGHWAY IT TURNS ON AFTER I KEEP TRYING AND SAYS TO OPEN THE DRIVERS WINDOW AFTER I TURN IT ON FROM IT TURNING OFF.
IN A PARKING LOT, GOING ABOUT 5MPH, CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL AND WENT UP A SLOPE CRASHED INTO A TREE STUMP AND GRAZED THE BACK OF A PARKED CAR WITH NO OCCUPANTS. AIR BAGS DID NOT GO OFF AND I WAS NOT INJURED BUT FRONT HOOD DETACHED AND I HAD IT TOWED TO MY DEALERS BODY SHOP. HAPPENED YESTERDAY, CALLED POLICE BUT THEY DO NOT COME TO PRIVATE LOTS. EXCHANGED INFO WITH THE PARKED CAR OWNERS WHEN THEY RETURNED.
PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT 5MPH, SUDDENLY ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL WENT UP A BANK NET AND HIT A TREE TRUNK. HAD TO BE TOWED TO A GM BODY SHOP. DAMAGE IS 7000.00 DOLLARS. NO INJURY TO DRIVER.

NO WARNING TURBO FAILURE THAT CASES VEHICLE TO LOSE POWER SUDDENLY I WAS ON FREEWAY WHEN ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND A ENGINE POWER REDUCED WARNING CAME ON WENT TO AUTO ZONE AND THEY SAID IT WAS A P0299 HAVE SEEN A LOT OF INFO ON THE INTERNET NET SAYING THAT THE TURBO HAS GONE OUT THIS IS BAD WHEN YOUR AT FREEWAY SPEEDS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WATER PUMP LEAKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GILL AUTO GROUP MADERA (559-474-4475, LOCATED AT 1100 S MADERA AVE, MADERA, CA 93637) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED THE CONTACT $100. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
DRIVER SIDE BLADE STOPPED WORKING ON HIGHWAY IN RAIN. BROKEN SWIVEL CONNECTION ON TRANSMISSION ARM AND LATER REPAIR REPLACING WHOLE UNIT($300+).
FOR ABOUT ONE TO TWO MONTHS NOW, MY CAR HAS BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WHEN I'M GOING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WHEN I ACCELERATE, WITH IT SOMETIMES NOT HAVING ME TO ACCELERATE, MY CAR FEELS AS IF IT "CAN'T KEEP UP". THIS IS MORE NOTICEABLE WHEN I'M GOING UP A HILL OR ANY ELEVATION. ONE SECOND I'LL BE GOING 70 MPH AND THE NEXT THE TACHOMETER SHOOTS UP TO PAST 4 AND 5. I'M SCARED THAT IT WILL BADLY EFFECT MY ENGINE GOING THAT FAST SINCE THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED BEFORR SO I HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS FOR IT TO SLOW DONE AND 'CATCH UP' BEFORE I CAN ACCELERATE AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP THIS IS DUE TO THE TURBO.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO HAVE NEW TIRES INSTALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE TWO FRONTAL TIE RODS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, ALONG WITH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THE TIE RODS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS NOT REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
THE ENGINE KEEPS OVERHEATING EVEN AFTER REPLACING MULTIPLE DIFFERENT PARTS NOW THE ENGINE WILL NOT START.
IT STARTS ON ITS OWN
NOX POSITION 1 SENSOR WENT BAD. IT WAS RECALLED ON OTHER CHEVY CRUZE DIESEL VINS BUT MINE WAS NOT RECALLED AND IT WENT BAD I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A NOX SENSOR BUT THAT IT WAS NOT RECALLED ON MY VIN SO IT WAS NOT COVERED
WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY EXITING THE OFFRAMP THAT CURVES TO THE RIGHT. WHEN I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL IT LOCKED UP AND THE STEREO TURNED OFF. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE DIRECTION MY VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING. I APPLIED MY BRAKE, TO KEEP FROM HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE. WHEN I PRESSED MY BRAKE THE STEERING WHEEL UNLOCKED BRIEFLY THEN LOCKED AGAIN. THEN A YELLOW ⚠️ WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND MY CAR BEGAN TO PULL TO THE RIGHT. THE STEREO POWERED ON AND THE STEERING WHEEL RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE YELLOW WARNING ⚠️ LIGHT TURNED OFF. I CONTINUED TO TRAVEL ANOTHER 1.5-2 MILES MORE TO MY HOME AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS TIME A GREEN DASH LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND SAID SERVICE POWER STEERING. I PARKED MY CAR AT THAT POINT. I AM CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR REPAIR. THE REASON WHY I AM FILING A COMPLAINT IS BECAUSE OF THE DANGER ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TYPE OF MALFUNCTION. IT PUT MY LIFE AND OTHER DRIVERS LIFE IS AT STAKE. THIS IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE WAY FOR A VEHICLE TO FUNCTION. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY TIME I'VE HAD AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE. IN OCTOBER 2018 AFTER DRIVING TO MAMMOTH CALIFORNIA MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. SOMETHING SIMILAR TO A STALL OUT.
WHEN THE CAR IS IN THE PARK POSITION AND THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION SWITCH IN THE OFF POSITION, THE ENGINE WILL RANDOMLY BEGIN TO START. SOMETIMES, IF THE KEY IS NOT IN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND TOUCHES THE OPENING OF THE IGNITION SWITCH THE CAR ENGINE WILL BEGIN TO START. I THINK IT'S A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH.
WHILE THE CAR IS IN PARK AND NO ONE IN THE CAR AND THE KEY IN THE IGNITION BUT THE KEY IN THE OFF POSITION THE CAR CONTINUALLY TRIES TO START BY ITSELF. THE CAR IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH A REMOTE START.
CAT WAS SPUTTERING AND STALLING AFTER I HAD THE OIL CHANGED AND AIR FILTERS CHECKED. I GOT IT DIAGNOSED AND THE CODES GIVEN WERE P1101 P0299 P0171 P0106 I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT THE LIGHT WHEN I NOTICED SOME SQUEALING OR WHIRRING UNDER THE HOOD. I OPENED THE HOOD AND THE ENGINE IS LIKE ... MOVING
EVERYTHING ON THE DASH SHUT OFF. HEAT AND AIR SHUT OFF. SERVICE STABILITY TRACK WARNING COMES ON. ENGINE FAN RUNNING ALL THE TIME. STEERING LOCKS.
WHEN IDLING THE VEHICLE WILL HAVE SMALL FLUCTUATIONS IN RPM THAT MAKE THE CAR FEEL LIKE IT WILL STALL. WHILE DRIVING THE WARNING SIGNS OF "SERVICE STABILI TRAK" AND "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" AS WELL AS THE ENGINE LIGHT COME ONTO THE DISPLAY ON THE DASH. "BATTERY SAVER MODE" HAS ALSO APPEARED BEFORE. ONCE ALL OF THE CAR LIGHTS AS WELL AS THE RADIO AND OTHER ELECTRONIC PORTIONS OF THE VEHICLE ALL SHUT OFF WHEN THIS HAPPENED INCLUDING POWER STEERING ABILITY. HAVE HAD THE ALTERNATOR AS WELL AS THE ENGINE REPLACED AT MENIKIEE AND THE ISSUE IS STILL PERSISTING.
THE RADIO FREEZES UP WHILE I AM DRIVING. NONE OF THE RADIO BUTTONS FUNCTION. I CANNOT TURN THE RADIO OFF, CHANGE CHANNEL, ADJUST VOLUME, ETC. I JUST HAD THE SPECIAL COVERAGE REPAIR DONE FOR THE WATER INTRUSION ON THE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM. THE RADIO WORKED PERFECTLY FINE BEFORE THE SPECIAL COVERAGE WORK WAS PERFORMED. I WENT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THAT IT IS NOT RELATED TO THE WATER INTRUSION AND IT WOULD BE $120 JUST TO CONNECT THE COMPUTER TO THE CAR. HE TOLD ME IF IT IS THE RADIO, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET. I SAW A NEW SPECIAL COVERAGE BULLETIN ABOUT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE CLAMP NOT BEING ABLE TO REMAIN TIGHT TO THE BATTERY TERMINAL ON THE INTERNET. I NEED TO KNOW IF IT APPLIES TO MY 2014 CHEVY CRUZE BECAUSE I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INFORMATION BY MAIL ON THIS. THANK YOU .
FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW, I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE RADIO AND DASH LIGHTS WILL SUDDENLY CUT OFF, AND THEN COME BACK ON. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE INSPECTED BUT NO ISSUE WAS FOUND. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO NARROW DOWN WHAT TRIGGERS THE ISSUE TO OCCUR, IT WILL HAPPEN AT RANDOM TIMES. THERE IS NO WAY TO REPLICATE THE EVENT WITHOUT JUST BEING IN THE CAR WHEN IT HAPPENS. JUST IN THE LAST 30 MINUTES IT OCCURRED: 1. WHILE ACCELERATING TO 40 MPH; 2. WHILE BREAKING TO COME TO A STOP SIGN; 3. MAINTAINING CONTINUOUS SPEED AT 30 MPH; 4. WHILE STATIONARY, ROLLING UP MY POWER WINDOW; 5. AND, WHILE STATIONARY, FOOT ON BREAK PLACING THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THE RANDOMNESS OF THESE OCCURRENCES AND THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NO SENOR WARNINGS/CODES TO NOTIFY THE DEALERSHIP CONCERNS ME. DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF COMMUTE, A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION COULD OCCUR WITHOUT WARNING TO THE VEHICLE OPERATOR.
ALL THE SUB-SYSTEMS ON THE 2014 CHEVY CRUZE ARE CONTROLLED THROUGH THE RADIO SYSTEM. WHEN BACKING UP, THE BACKUP CAMERA, WHICH IS DISPLAYED THROUGH THE RADIO ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN, DOES NOT ENGAGE. SEVERAL OF THE OTHER SUB-SYSTEMS, INCLUDING THE AC, THE RADIO ITSELF, AND OTHER SYSTEMS ARE ALSO INTERMITTENT WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. IN ORDER TO RESET THE SYSTEM THE CAR HAS HAD TO BE PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF COMPLETELY, LET SIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, AND THE RESTARTED. AFTER DOING SO THE SYSTEM HAS RESET, BUT HAS DONE THE SAME THING DAYS OR WEEKS LATER. AFTER BRINGING THE CAR IN TO THE DEALER OVER FOUR TIME THE PROBLEMS HAVE YET TO BE RESOLVED.
SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING, IF YOU HIT THE BRAKE OR HIT THE WINDOW SWITCH, THE POWER TO THE RADIO PANEL AND DRIVERS DISPLAY WILL CUT OFF, SOMETIMES THE "SERVICE STABILITRAC" SIGNAL WILL COME UP AND THE POWER WILL COME BACK ON AFTER A FEW SECONDS, WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT WILL ALSO CUT POWER TO THE POWER STEERING, IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR IT OR YOUR NOT AWARE OF THE SITUATION IT CAN SURPRISE YOU, IT CAN BE ESPECIALLY STARTLING WHILE TURNING AND ALL OF A SUDDEN POWER CUTS OUT AND YOU HAVE TROUBLE STEERING, THE CAR WILL STAY RUNNING AND THE POWER WILL CUT FOR A FEW SECONDS, AND THEN EVERYTHING WILL GO BACK TO NORMAL. LOOKING ONLINE THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE EARLIER CHEVY CRUZ. I AM JUST NOT SURE OF THE FULL EXTENT OF THE ISSUE.
UPON LEAVING A STORE THE CAR BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN AS THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL BEGAN TO WOBBLE. I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT, STOPPED THEN REVERSED SLOWLY THEN PULLED FORWARD SLOWLY WHEN A PATRON EXITING THE STORE SAID STOP. ONCE I EXITED MY CAR I NOTICED THE PASSENGER FRONT WHEEL SEEMED DISLOCATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THEN TRANSMISSION FLUID BEGIN TO LEAK FROM THE UNDER THE CAR OF THE DISLOCATED WHEEL. IN THE PICTURES THE CAR IS PARKED STRAIGHT BUT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL IS TURNED OUTWARD.
