WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 75MILES PER HOUR THE LEFT REAR TIRE HAD A BLOWOUT, THE TIRE COMPLETELY PEELED APART. IT TOOK MY HUSBAND ABOUT 1MILE TO COME TO A STOP, DURING WHICH TIME THE TIRE CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE PAINT , WHEEL WELL, TORE OFF A MUD FLAP, AND BENT THE STEEL RIM. THE VEHICLE IS A WORK TRUCK SO MY HUSBAND PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES IMMEDIATELY THE TRUCK WAS VIBRATING BECAUSE OF THE BENT RIM SO HE ALSO PURCHASED NEW RIMS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYTHING THAT I MIGHT COLLECT FROM FIRESTONE. BRAKE PEDAL WAS PULSATING BADLY, DEALER FOUND THAT ALL FOUR ROTORS WERE WARPED, FOUR DAYS LATER WHILE APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION, CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE AND WENT RIGHT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, CONSUMER COULD HEAR AIR COMING THROUGH THE FRONT WHEELS WHEN PUMPING THE BRAKES, CONSUMER COULD SEE THAT BRAKE FLUID HAD SPRAYED ALL OVER THE WHEEL WELL, DEALER FOUND THAT THE RUBBER BRAKE LINE HAD BEEN RUBBING AGAINST THE RIM AND WORE A HOLE IN THE BRAKE LINE, CONSUMER STATES HAVING ONLY 1/4 OF AN INCH CLEARING BETWEEN THE BRAKE HOSE AND CALIPER IS A SAFETY DEFECT. *SLC
WHEN BRAKING ANTILOCK BRAKES WILL CAUSE THE BRAKES TO FAIL IF EVEN A SMALL BUMP IS HIT AT LOW SPEED. THE ANTILOCK WILL ALSO CAUSE THE BRAKES TO FAIL DURING A SHARP TURN. THE PROBLEM OCCURS AT ALL SPEEDS, LOW AND HIGH.*AK
BROUGHT TRUCK INTO AUTO DEALERSHIP AND FIRESTONE DEALERSHIP, AND BOTH TOLD ME THAT MY TIRE IS DELAMINATING. BOTH TOLD ME THIS IS FROM DRIVING WITH A FLAT TIRE. THIS TIRE HAS NEVER BEEN FLAT, NOR HAS IT EVER BEEN LOW. THIS IS THE SECOND ISSUE I HAVE HAD WITH THE FIRESTONE TIRES ON THIS TRUCK. *AK (TIRESIZE: P265/75R)
HEAD COLLISION AT 60-65MPH, AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO PRIOR WARNING. CONTACTED MANUFACTURER, AND MANUFACTURER WAS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING.*AK
WHILE DRIVING 30 TO 35 MPH HAD A CRASH, AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DAMAGED FRONT END OF TRUCK. CONTACTED DEALER. *AK
THE TIRES ON MY 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO P/U WERE FOUND TO HAVE SEVERE CRACKS IN THE TREAD ARE, THE CRACKS WERE SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH TO WARRENT REPLACEMENT BY THE TIRE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO PRORATE THE TIRES, WHICH WAS A SIGNIFICANT EXPENSE ON MY PART. THE TREAD WEAR WAS MINIMAL. I AS THE TIRE DEALER IF THERE WAS PROBLEM WITH THESE PARTICULAR TIRES HE SAID NO. AFTER HAVING MY TIRES REPLACED I PERSONALLY INSPECTED SIX 1999-2001 CHEV SILVERADO 2WD EXT CAB PICKUPS WITH THE SAME GENERAL TIRES, OF THE SIX , WITH MILAGE FROM 7,500-42,000, I FOUND THAT FIVE OF THE SIX HAD THE SAME CRACKING IN THE SAME AREA AS DID THE TIRES ON MY TRUCK.
WHILE TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 TO 50 MPH VEHICLE IMPACTED ANOTHER VEHICLE, CAUSING $11,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO FRONT OF TRUCK. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY WHILE PASSENGER'S AIR BAG WAS TURNED OFF. INSURANCE COMPANY WAS HAVING VEHICLE REPAIRED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS. *DRIVER EXPERIENCED NECK INJURIES AND STIFF NECK .*AK
VEHICLE WAS GOING 65MPH. CONSUMER WAS TRYING TO BRAKE TO SLOWDOWN, AND IT WOULDN'T SLOW DOWN. EACH TIME CONSUMER'S FOOT CAME OFF BRAKE, VEHICLE SPED UP. CONSUMER PULLED OFF ROAD, AND COULDN'T TAKE IT OUT OF DRIVE. VEHICLE RAN INTO SOME GRAVEL, AND THE SPUN BACK END AROUND. VEHICLE WENT OVER A 100FT. RAVINE, TAKING OUT 2 TREES, AND LANDING ON SOME ROCKS. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. GENERAL MOTORS IS SENDING A INVESTIGATOR OUT. *AK
THESE TIRES HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE THE BEGINNING. THESE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED LIKE THE FORDS WERE. THESE WERE STANDARD EQUIPMENT ON GM TRUCKS ALSO. I DON'T FEEL SAFE WITH THESE ON THE TRUCK. CAN'T AFFORD TO REPLACE THESE AT THIS TIME. *AK (TIRESIZE: 2657016)
WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOPPED POSITION AND COMING TO A STOP THERE IS A DEEP SQUEEKING SOUND COMING SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE DRIVESHAFT AND TRANSMISSION. I WAS TOLD BY CHEVY GARAGE THERE WAS A FIX FOR THE EXTENDED CAB VERSION BUT NOT MY REGULAR CAB TRUCK. IT WILL EVENTUALLY TAKE MONEY TO FIX BECAUSE ANYTHING THAT SQUEEKS IS RUBBING AND WILL EVENTUALLY WEAR OUT. IT WAS A PROBLEM WHEN I REACHED 15,000 MILES AND IS STILL A PROBLEM AND LOUD AGGREVATION AT 61000 MILES. IT IS EVEN BAD ENOUGH THAT WHEN I COME TO A REDLIGHT OR A STOP SIGN PEOPLE THINK I AM BEEPING MY HORN AT THEM. IT HAS BEEN FOUR YEARS AND 46000 MILES LATER AND THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE VEHICLE TO MY KNOWLEDGE. PLUS THE TIRES DIDNT LAST 40000 MILES THE BRAKE LINE HAD TO BE REPAIRED THE STEERING LINKAGE IS BAD AND WHEN I HAD A CRACKED WINDOW REPLACED THE PERSON SHOWED ME THAT THERE WAS NO SEAL PLACED AROUND THE WINDOW TO KEEP IT FROM LEAKING. SO LONG CHEVY HELLO FORD.*AK
TRUCK EXCESSIVELY VIBRTES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE CONDITION. IS THERE GOING TO BE A RECALL ON THESE TRUCKS SINCE SO MANY OF THEM ARE DEFECTIVE? *AK
MY BRAKES FAILED AFTER ACCELERATING FROM BEING STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. THE LIGHT TURNED YELLOW BEFORE WE WERE INTO THE INTERSECTION WHEN THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED, SPEED WAS LESS THAN 10 MPH. I ATTEMPTED TO STOP ON A BUMPY DRY SURFACE WHILE BRAKING THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. DEALERSHIP CLAIMS BRAKES WERE WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS SET BY MANUFACTURE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, THERE ARE TOO MANY COMPLAINTS DEALING WITH THE ABS SYSTEM ON THE SILVERADO. PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. *NLM
WHILE PRESSING ON THE BRAKE EXPECTING TO STOP, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS PUSHING BACK AT THE SAME TIME THE ENGINE WAS SPEEDING UP, SUDDEN ACCELERATION.
WHILE PARKING VEHICLE IN DRIVEWAY, POWER STEERING BROKE AND LOST ALL BRAKING ABILITY. HAD NO PRIOR WARNING OF ANY PROBLEMS. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP/SERVICE MANAGER AND MANUFACTURER. WAS INFORMED STEERING AND BRAKES ON SAME SYSTEM. POWER STEERING PUMP WAS REPLACED DUE TO A BROKEN SHAFT IN POWER STEERING.*AK *YH

WHEN PUTTING FOOT ON GAS PEDAL IT GOT STUCK AND VEHICLE ACELLERATED UNCONTROLLEABLY. DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE OF PROBLEM.
I WAS IN THE IDAHO MOUNTAINS ON A DAY TRIP WHEN BOTH REAR FIRESTONE AT TIRES WENT FLAT. I CHANGED THE MOST FLAT OF THE TWO AND MADE IT INTO A TOWN ON THE SPARE AND A FLAT TIRE. I PUT AIR IN THE FLAT TIRE AND MADE IT HOME. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE FIRESTONE AT TIRES ON THEIR TRUCKS WERE DIFFERENT THAN ON FORDS AND THAT THEIR'S WERE SAFE (YEA RIGHT). I WENT TO A TIRE RETAILER IN MY AREA AND HAD ALL THE FIRESTONE WILDERNESS AT TIRES (INCLUDING THE SPARE) REMOVED FROM MY TRUCK AND NEW TIRES (NOT FIRESTONE) INSTALLED. THE TIRE INSTALLER VERIFIED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS TREAD SEPARATION. I JUST WANTED TO ASK YOU TO PLEASE RECALL THESE KILLER TIRES. I WAS LUCKY AND DIDN'T KILL MYSELF AND MY FAMILY ON OUR OUTING BECAUSE OF THEM. ALL IT COST ME WAS $500.00 FOR NEW TIRES TO REPLACE THE GARBAGE FIRESTONE WILDERNESS AT TIRES THAT CHEVROLET INSTALLED ON MY TRUCK.*AK (TIRESIZE: P26575R16)
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS VEHICLE SHUT OFF, VALVE LIGHT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY COME ON, AND WITHIN SECOND VEHICLE WOULD SHUT DOWN. VEHICLE BEEN IN DEALER SHOP ON THREE OCCASIONS, AND THE PROBLEM STILL REOCCURRING. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK

MY 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO TRUCK WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION ON MAY 19, 01. VEHICHLE WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH. WHEN VEHICHLE WAS STRUCK HEAD-ON AND KNOCKED APPROXIMATELY 23 FT. BACKWARDS ONTO THE SHOULDER OF ROADWAY. UPON IMPACT DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER OF TRUCK RECIEVED CONTUSIONS, ABRASIONS, AND BRUISING RESULTING FROM CONTACT WITH STEERING COLUMN AND DASH PANEL. BOTH VEHICHLES INVOLVED IN CRASH WERE DETERMINED TO BE TOTAL LOSSES.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT 5 MPH POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES WENT OUT AT SAME TIME. DEALERSHIP EXAMINED VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS A BROKEN SHAFT IN POWER STEERING PUMP THAT CAUSED A LOSS OF THESE TWO POWER ASSISTED SYSTEMS. *AK CONUSMER STATES HE WAS ADVISED BY DEALERSHIP THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TYPES OF VEHICLE'S. *JB
FRONT BRAKE ROTORS AND PADS NEEDED REPLACEMENT AT 18,000 MILES. DEALER / MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED, BUT REPAIRS WAS DONE AT AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE US WITH ANY FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS MATTER . *AK
I`VE REPLACED THE TIRES 3 TIMES IN 2001. I`VE HAD TIRES BALANCED NUMEROUS TIMES. I`V E REPLACED ALL 4 SHOCKS IN 2001. *AK (TIRESIZE: 16)
80% OF THE TIMES THAT YOU ATTEMPT TO MOME FROM A STOP THE ACCELLERATOR HANGS UP AND YOU HAVE TO EXERT TREMENDOUS PRESSURE ON THE ACCELLERATOR PEDAL TO BREAK IT LOOSE. THE ONLY SAFE WAY TO DO THIS IS TO PUT THE VEHICLE OUT OF GEAR. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS IN TRAFFIC. I BELIEVE THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD REPAIR THIS DEFECT AT NO COST TO ME EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY.*AK
GAS GAUGE DOES NOT OPERATE, HAS NOT FOR YEARS , ON MOST CHEVROLET TRUCKS. *TR
VEHICLE STARTED VIBRATING WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 10 ON MAY 3, 2001. AT FIRST WE COULD NOT SEE ANY VISIBLE PROBLEM SO WE SLOWED OUR SPEED TO WELL UNDER 50 MPH. WE TOOK VEHICLE TO FIRESTONE STORE AND THE TREAD SEPARATION IS NOW VERY OBVIOUS. THE FIRESTONE STORE SAID THEY WILL REPLACE TIRE WITH ANOTHER FIRESTONE TIRE BUT THEY CLAIM THE STEELTEX TIRE IS SAFE AND DOES NOT HAVE TREAD SEPARATION PROBLEMS. THIS VEHICLE IS A GM CUTWAY, MADE INTO A CLASS B MOTOR HOME BY ROADTREK (HOME AND PARK OF CANADA). IT IS ONE YEAR OLD AND HAS ORIGINAL FIRESTONE TIRES. WE HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT OFFROAD, OVER MEDIANS, CURBS OR SHOULDERS (THIS IS WHAT FIRESTONE HAS PREVIOUSLY CLAIMED WAS PROBLEM WITH EMERGENCY VEHICLES USING STEELTEX TIRES). WE DID NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT BUT THE TV IN THE MOTOR HOME QUIT WORKING AS A RESULT OF THE VIBRATING.*AK (DOT NUMBER: DN11BIA299 TIRESIZE: LT24575R16)

5.3L ENGINE DEVELOPED A KNOCK AT APPROX 17000 MILES. COMPLAINT MADE TO GM DEALERSHIP, THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT "GM IS AWARE OF PROBLEM AND WORKING ON A FIX". GM NOW CLAIMS IT IS NORMAL ENGINE NOISE AND NO FIX REQUIRED. IF IT'S NORMAL WHY DON'T ALL THE 5.3'S DO IT ? GM HAS ISSUED ME AN "EXTENDED COMPONENT WARRANTY" FOR THE ENGINE ONLY FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2 YEARS AND 64K MILES AFTER EXPIRATION OF FACTORY 3/36. IF THEY WON'T FIX UNDER WARRANTY NOW WHAT GOOD IS AND EXTENDED WARRANTY?? GM NEEDS TO RESOLVE THIS ENGINE PROBLEM NOW BEFORE CUSTOMERS START SEEING ENGINE FAILURES AND ABNORMAL OIL USAGE BECAUSE OF IT. NHTSA, AS WELL AS STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICES NEEDS TO MAKE GM RESOLVE THIS ISSUE OF CONSUMER FRAUD FOR NOT HONORING THE WARRANTY AND TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.*AK
AFTER TOWING A TRAILER, THE REAR TAIL LIGHT BULBS BLEW OUT, THEY WERE REPLACED AND BLEW AGAIN ALONG WITH A MAIN RELAY FUSE UNDER THE HOOD (NEVER SMALL FUSE FROM DASH FUSE BOX). AFTER REPLACING THAT TWICE WE CONTINUED TO HAVE A PROBLEM, THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID IT WAS SHORTING OUT BECAUSE OF A BARE WIRE AND THEY FIXED WITH BLACK TAPE(STILL HAVE NOT LOCATED THAT WIRE) THE WARRANTY EXPIRED SHORTLY AFTER AND THE MECHANIC DID NOT DO AN INVOICE FOR ELECTRICAL TAPE...SINCE THEN WE HAVE CONTINUED TO HAVE NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM INCLUDING THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS, REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS, PASSENGER POWER WINDOW CONTROL, PARENTAL WINDOW LOCK CONTROL, HAZARD LIGHTS. WE HAVE ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 3 TIMES IN JUST OVER A YEAR. WE HAD AN ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEM INSTALLED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE AND HAVE CHECKED THAT WIRING AND THE TRAILER WIRING FOR BARE WIRE SHORTS AND FOUND NOTHING. WE NO LONGER USE THE TRAILER LIGHTS SO IT IS NOT AN OVERLOAD?? ANY INFORMATION ON POSSIBLE DEFECTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. *JB
TIRE BLEW FOR NO APPARANT REASON AT APPROX 70MPH ON INTERSTATE WHILE TOWING AN EMPTY UTILITY TRAILER. TIRE LOOKS SEPARATED AND BLEW INTO 2 PIECES. LOST SOME CONTROL OF VEHICLE ALMOST CAUSING CATASTROPHIC CRASH. DAMAGED VEHICLE AND TRAILER. *AK (DOT NUMBER: 379 TIRESIZE: 245/75R16)
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET 1500 PICKUP. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT SPEEDS RANGING FROM 20 TO 40 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES THE PEDAL MADE COMPLETE CONTACT WITH THE FLOOR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,023. THE BRAKE SHOES AND PADS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS ,AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,000. *AK THE ABS ACTIVATED WITHOUT CAUSE. WAS TRAVELING 60MPH AND LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE DUE TO ITS DRIFTING. IT WENT SIDEWAYS AND OFF THE ROAD. THEN, VEHICLE WENT AIR BORNE AFTER STRADDLING. DRIVEWAY WAS OF CONCRETE TILE. LANDED ON BUMPER, THEN FLIPPED ON TOP. AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUFFERED INJURIES AND WAS HOSPITALIZED.*AK
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 55MPH AND WAS ON INTERSTATE IN FAR RIGHT LANE TRYING TO EXIT, AND VEHICLE RAN UP ON GRASS, BRAKES COULDN'T STOP VEHICLE FROM HITTING THE POST. CONSUMER HIT FACE ON WINDSHIELD. STEERING WHEEL WAS BENT BACK AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. VEHICLE NEVER STOPPED ON TIME, IT WOULD GLIDE. VEHICLE HAD ABS BRAKES, AND NO WARNING EVER INDICATED THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED, AND CONSUMER DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH VEHICLE, IT WAS NEVER TAKEN TO DEALER. *AK

WHEN BRAKING AT ANY SPEED TO COME TO A STOP, THE PEDAL WILL KICK BACK, RESULTING IN NO BRAKING ACTION. VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALER 3 TIMES, NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. ON 1 MARCH, 2002 VEHICLE REARENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE AT LOW SPEED WHILE BRAKING. CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN TRAFFIC SLOWED AHEAD OF HIM. CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO APPLY BRAKES TO SLOW VEHICLE DOWN. THERE WAS RESISTANCE BEHIND BRAKE PEDAL, BUT BRAKE SYSTEM FAILED TO ENGAGE, CAUSING HIM TO REAR END A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. *AK

BRAKES FAILED TO SLOW VEHICLE DOWN, AND REAR ENDED A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM ON FRONT DRIVERS SIDE OF VEHICLE. BOTH FRONTAL AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS.*AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION WITH GUARDRAIL AND SEVERAL OF ITS SUPPORT POLES AT 80 MPH. UPON IMPACT, BOTH AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK CONSUMER STATES IMPACT WAS 85 MPH AND ACCELERATING, CONSUMER HIT A GUARDRAIL AND EIGHT OF ITS SUPPORT POSTS, FINALLY STOPPING WHEN CONSUMER IMPACTED AN OVER PASS SUPPORT.*JB
THE ROTORS WHICH ARE PART OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM HAD BEGUN OPERATING IMPROPERLY, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO VIBRATE WHILE DRIVING AND TO HAVE INCREASED VIBRATION WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, ESPECIALLY AT HIGH SPEEDS. THE PROBLEM WHICH CAUSED THE ROTORS TO STOP PERFORMING PROPERLY MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY INCORRECT TIGHTENING/TORQUEING WHEN THE TIRES HAD BEEN ROTATED SHORTLY PRIOR TO THE ROTOR PROBLEM HAPPENING. THE DEALER WOULD NOT REPLACE THE ROTORE, EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER FULL WARRANTY. THE INFORMED ME THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ALLOW REPLACEMENT. THIS MEANS THAT I NOW HAVE ROTORS ON THE VEHICLE THAT HAVE ONLY A HALF-LIFE REMAINING ON THEM AND THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THUS, IF, AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE ROTORS AGAIN STOP PERFORMING, I WILL HAVE TO BEAR THE COST OF REPLACEMENT. I CONTEND THAT THE PROBLEM WAS EITHER CAUSED BY IMPROPER DEALER MAINTENANCE, OR THAT THE ROTORS WERE DEFECTIVE. THIS SCENARIO CAN BE LOGICAL, AS THIS VEHICLE REQUIRED SEVERAL MAJOR REPLACEMENTS OF ESSENTIAL PARTS AFTER ONLY BEING SOLD TO ME FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE WEEK. IT IS NOT UNREASONABLE TO ME THAT THE ROTOR COULD ALSO HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE, AND I MAINTAIN THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE ALLOWED THE DEALER TO REPLACE THE ROTORS, RATHER THAN TURNING THEM.*AK
UPPER INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT FAILED, CAUSING EXCESSIVE PLAY AND CLUNKING OVER BUMPS. STEERING WHEEL HAS EXCESSIVE FREE PLAY AND CLUNKS AS IF FRONT SHOCKS, BALL JOINTS, TIE RODS OR OTHER STEERING/SUSPENSION COMPONENTS ARE LOOSE. DEALER HAS INSPECTED. *AK
TAILGATE FAILS TO STAY SHUT :SEAT SUSPENSION BROKE. *JB
WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED VIBRATION RUNS THROUGH VEHICLE, DEALERSHIP HAS EXAMINED VEHICLE, AND STATED THAT PREMATURE WEAR OF REAR DISC ROTORS WERE CAUSING VIBRATION.*AK ALSO THE FRONT AXLE SEAL WAS LEAKING AS WELL AS THE REAR SHOCKS, AND THE BRAKE PADS WERE CRACKED.*JB
THROTTLE LINKAGE STICKS INTERMITTENTLY AT FIRST START, DEALER CANNOT FIND CAUSE. *AK PROBLEM IS STILL ONGOING. IT TAKES EXTRA PRESSURE ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL FROM IDLE POSITION. THIS CAUSES VEHICLE TO BURN RUBBER AND TO ACCELERATE AT HIGH SPEEDS. *JG
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES PEDAL PUMPS, AND VEHICLE DOESN'T SEEM TO STOP. *AK
4 TIMES I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER. BRAKE SYSTEM IS A SAFETY HAZARD. WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES THE WHOLE FRONT END SHAKES AND VIBRATES CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. *AK
