CONSUMER HAD FOUND DIFFERENT CRACKS ON BODY OF VEHICLE WHERE PARTS WERE MADE OF PLASTIC, AND ANYBODY COULD LEAN ON VEHICLE AND IT WILL CRACK.*AK
DRIVING HOME FROM WORK. CAME UP TO INTERSECTION WITH STOP LIGHT. LIGHT CHANGED TO RED AND TRIED TO APPLY BRAKES.BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. VEHICLE RAN THRU RED LIGHT AND INTERSECTION NARROWLY MISSING COLLISION WITH OTHER VEHICLE.ROAD SURFACE DRY AND CLEAR. TEMP APPROX 35. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID NO PROBLEM. THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURENCE OF THIS TYPE SINCE I'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE. CANNOT CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITH NO CONFIDENCE IN BRAKES. FORTUNATELY NO INJURIES OR FATALITIES HAVE OCCURED HOWEVER THIS CONDITION IS A TIME BOMB WAITING TO GO OFF.*AK

WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 35 MPH STEPPED ON BRAKES PEDAL TO SLOW DOWN VEHICLE, BUT BRAKES DID NOT OPERATE, AND VEHICLE KEPT RUNNING WITHOUT STOPPING. INSPECTED FOR REPAIRS, BUT NOTHING WAS FOUND.*AK
REAR AXLE HAD BROKEN AFTER MAKING A LOT OF NOISE WHILE DRIVING. HAD TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP, AND MECHANIC REPAIRED AXLE. BUT PROBLEM/NOISE, HAD REAPPEARED. MECHANIC INDICATED WILL NOT REPAIR UNTIL AXLE BREAKS AGAIN. *AK
CONSUMER STATES BRAKE PEDAL PULSATED AND FRONT BRAKES MADE A LOUD CLUNKING SOUND AND THERE WAS NO STOPPING POWER, CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE INTO DEALERSHIP AND MECHANIC TEST DROVE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT POSSIBLE ABS FAILURE PREMATURELY, CONSUMER LEFT VEHICLE AT DEALERSHIP, HOWEVER NONE OF THE PROBLEMS COULD BE DUPLICATED.*JB
ON FOUR OCCASIONS WHEN APPLYING BRAKES PEDAL WOULD GO TO FLOOR AND JUMP BACK UP, CAUSING LOSS OF BRAKING. VEHICLE BEEN IN DEALER'S SHOP ON TWO OCCASIONS, AND NOTHING COULD BE FOUND. *AK
A RATTLE SOUND IN TRANSMISSION WHEN DRIVING ABOUT 55 MPH. DEALER COULD NOT FIND CAUSE AND FIX PROBLEM. *AK
WHEN ACCELERATING ABOUT 1700 RPM ENGINE WILL SOUND LIKE A DIESEL ENGINE WHEN IT IS A GASOLINE ENGINE. DEALER STATED THAT NOISE WAS COMING FROM BALANCE SHAFT.*AK
WHILE DRIVING IN DARK DASHBOARD LIGHT WILL NOT WORK, AND HEAD LIGHT SWITCH HAD TO BE REPLACED SEVEN TIMES DUE TO BURNING UP. ALSO, STARTER HAD TO BE REPLACED.*AK ALTERNATOR WAS ALSO REPLACED, POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. *SLC
WAS BACKING VEHICLE OUT OF GARAGE WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENED TO POWER ASSIST ON STEERING. ALSO, HAD NO POWER BRAKES. EVERYTHING HAD LOCKED UP. NOTICED STEERING FLUID ON GARAGE FLOOR. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP, AND WAS INFORMED BY SERVICE MANAGER VEHICLE WILL BE TOWED.*AK DEALER STATED THAT CONSUMER MAY HAVE HAD FOOT ON BRAKE AND WENT THROUGH SAFETY ZONE ON HYDRO BOOSTER CAUING FLUID TO FOAM UP AND CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. *SLC
WATER WOULD GET INSIDE OF VEHICLE WHEN ITS RAINING OR BEING WASHED. SEAM IN TRUCK WOULD ALLOW WATER TO LEAK IN AND GET UNDER CARPETING. ELECTRICAL WIRES WOULD ALSO GET WET AND AFFECT LIGHTING SYSTEM.*AK
WHEN APPLYING GAS CONSUMER HAS TO ALMOST STAND ON PEDAL TO GET PEDAL TO GO DOWN. DEALER ADMITTED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH GAS PEDAL STICKING.*AK *SLC
CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL 00V345000/MANUFACTURER'S RECALL 00093 FOR BRAKE LINE CHAFING. CONSUMER HAS TRAVELED BACK AND FORTH 400 MILES TRYING TO GET THIS FIX. PARTS WERN/'T AVAILABLE, AND NO AVAILABILTY DATE WAS GIVEN.*AK
WE'VE HAD THIS DRIVETRAIN VIBRATION ALMOST SINCE THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED. GM SERVICE DEPT. HAS REPLACED 1 TIRE BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T BALACE IT. ALL THE OTHER TIRES HAVE BEEN REBALANCED, ALL 5 TIRES HAVE BEEN ROTATED. THE TRUCK HAD THE REAR END PARTS REPLACED DUE TO SOME TYPE OF FAILURE. WE'VE HAD THE TRUCK TO GM'S SERVICE DEPT. SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE VIBRATION PROBLEMS. WE WENT THROUGH THE BBB TO HAVE GM BUY BACK WHICH WE LOST. GM REFUSES TO DO ANY MORE VIBRATION RELATED WORK ON THIS TRUCK. THE TRUCK ALSO HAS THE FIRESTONE STEELTEX A/T LT 245/75 R 16 TIRES, AND I'VE ASKED OUR LOCAL GM SERVICE DEPT. IF THESE TIRES ARE ON THE RECALL LIST, WHICH THEY DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR. SOONER OR LATER THERE IS GOING TO BE VIBRATION RELATED PARTS FAILURE AND HOPEFULLY NOT AT HWY SPEEDS. OUR TRUCK IS NOT THE ONLY TRUCK WITH THESE PROBLEMS. GM HAS THESE PROBLEMS WITH THE '99,2000 AND 2001 TRUCK LINES WHICH THEY WON'T/CAN'T FIX. PLEASE HELP US US AND ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE $30,000 LEMONS. THANK YOU. *AK
WITHIN A MONTH AFTER OUR PURCHASE, I TOOK OUR TRUCK TO TONY CHEVROLET'S SERVICE DEPT. FOR AN ENGINE KNOCK. I WAS TOLD THIS NOISE IS NORMAL TO "ALL" 2000 CHEVROLET AND GMC TRUCKS WITH THE 5.3 LITER ENGINE. I ASKED HOW AN ENGINE KNOCK CAN BE NORMAL TO A BRAND NEW ENGINE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE NOISE WAS CALLED "PISTON SLAP" WHICH GENERAL MOTORS IS AWARE OF THIS "DEFECT" AND WAS WORKING ON A FIX. I THEN EXPLAINED TO THE SERVICE WRITER, SINCE I'VE WORKED AS A MECHANIC, THAT I'VE NEVER HEARD A NEW OR REBUILT ENGINE KNOCK UNLESS THERE WAS A MISTAKE MADE OR A FAULTY PART INSTALLED. I'VE HEARD HIGH MILEAGE ENGINES WITH A KNOCK PROBLEM, AND I'VE HEARD HIGH MILEAGE ENGINES WITH "PISTON SLAP". AFTER RESEARCH I FOUND OUT GM WAS GOING TO REPLACE THE FAULTY PISTONS WITH GM'S NEW DESIGN PISTONS AND THAT WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE "PISTION SLAP" ISSUE. AFTER TALKING WITH ANOTHER DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS ISSUE, I WAS TOLD THAT GM HAS REPLACED A FEW ENGINES WITH THE NEW DESIGNED PISTIONS WHICH NOW STILL HAVE THE "PISTON SLAP". I WAS SHOWN BULLETIN # 01-06-01-028 WHICH STATED MODELS:1999-2002 CHEVROLET/GMC PICKUP & UTILITY MODELS,2002 CADILLAC ESCALADE (2WD) WITH 4.8L,5.3L OR 6.0L ENGINES MAY EXHIBIT AN ENGINE KNOCK NOISE THAT BEGINS IN THE FIRST 12,000-15,000 MILES OF USE. THE KNOCK NOISE IS MOST OFTEN NOTICED DURING START-UP AND TYPICALLY DISAPPEARS WITHIN THE FIRST 5-30 SECONDS (MAY LAST LONGER IN EXTREME COLD TEMPERATURES) SINCE WE LIVE IN ALASKA THIS IS VERY TRUE. THE NOISE IS USUALLY MORE NOTICEABLE ON THE INTIAL START-UP WHEN THE TEMPTURE IS BELOW 50 DEGREES AND MAY BE MORE PRONOUNCED ON THE FIRST START FOLLOWING A LONG TRIP. THE NOISE "MAY" BE CAUSED BY AN INTERACTION BETWEEN CARBON THAT HAS FORMED ON THE PISTON, THE PISTON MOTION AND THE CYLINDER WALL. AT THIS TIME, ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR THIS CONDITION BY REPLACING THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY OR PISTONS IS NOT RECOMMENDED. OUR TRUCK'S PERFORMANCE HAS GONE DOWN DUE TO THE KNOCK SENSOR DETECTING THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM.*AK
ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON;MOTOR ROARS;IN SHOP 5 TIMES;REPLACED FUEL INJECTORS, FUEL FILTER, FUEL INJECTORS AGAIN, REPLACED GASKETS,O-RINGS, BRAKE LINE, ETC. BECAUSE THEY SAID THERE WAS WATER IN GAS TANK CAUSING THE PROBLEM. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS STAYS ON, MOTOR STILL MAKING NOISE, 200 MILES FROM BEING OUT OF WARRENTY. THIS PROBLEM HAS CONTINUED FOR 7,000 MILES AND GOING ON 7 MONTHS. CANNOT LEAVE TOWN IN MY NEW TRUCK, CANNOT GET WITHING 30 MILES OF HOME, STAYS PARKED IN YARD. THIS VEHICLE IS A PIECE OF MADE IN THE USA TRASH. LEMON?*AK
DATE OF FAILURE AND MILEAGE ARE APPROXIMATE. DEALER WAS ADVISED OF PROBLEM AT TIME OF OIL CHANGE BUT NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. THE SECOND FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY APRIL/MAY, 2001: SPEED WAS APPROXIMATELY 35 TO 40 MPH. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS A NEAR ACCIDENT: I WAS FORCED TO RUN A STOP SIGN. I WILL BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM IF REQUESTED.*AK
BOTH REAR SIDE DOORS WOULD NOT CLOSE PROPERLY IN COLD WEATHER. DEALER NOTIFIED, AND WAS UNABLE TO CORRECT PROBLEM AT THIS TIME. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS MATTER. *AK
VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD WHILE PARKED AND BRAKE WAS APPLIED, OWNER REPLACED PARKING BRAKE.*AK CONSUMER HAD TO JAM THE TRANSMISSION INTO PARK TO STOP IT FROM ROLLING. THE DEALER INFORMED CONSUMER THAT PARKING BRAKES WEAR OUT EVERY 15,000 MILES. *JG

THE POWER STEERING PUMP CONTROLS BOTH THE BRAKES & STEERING, WHEN THE PUMP GOES OUT YOU LOOSE BOTH. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE.
BRAKE SYSTEM FAILED WITH 5,600 MILES ON VEHICLE WHICH RESULTED IN A CRASH. DEALERSHIP EXAMINED VEHICLE, AND REPLACED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TO CORRECT PROBLEM. SINCE THIS REPAIR BRAKES HAVE OPERATED ERRATICALLY, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALERSHIP CLAIMED BRAKES WERE WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS SET BY MANUFACTURER. *AK ONE PERSON WAS INJURED IN ACCIDENT. *YH
HAD TO REPLACE REAR U-JOINT. THE DEALER WON'T FIX THE SLIP YOKE THAT HAS NOT BEEN NORMAL SINCE THEY REPLACED THE U-JOINT EVEN THOUGH I'VE BEEN THERE 3 TIMES FOR THAT. MY MAIN COMPLAINT NOW IS THAT THE RUNNING LAMPS SEEM TO GO OUT TOO OFTEN.I SEE EVERY OTHER SILVERADO (& MAYBE SIERRAS?) ON THE ROAD WITH ONE OF THEM OUT!!! EVEN THOUGH THIS DOESN'T COST THAT MUCH, THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL SINCE THERE'S THOUSANDS OF GM PICKUPS THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THANK YOU.
DRIVING TRUCK AND TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SLIP, THEN TRANS HEATED UP TO 300 DEGREES. SMOKE CAME FROM TRANS AND BURNT SMELL. TRUCK ONLY HAD 6500 MILEAGE ON IT. TRUCK WAS A 2500 HD WITH HD AUTO TRANS AND SNOWPLOW PREP PACKAGE. DEALER REPLACED TRANS WITH NEW TRANS, BUT MADE IT SOUND LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT. UNHAPPY WITH DEALER RESPONSE TO PROBLEM ON THIS NEW TRUCK.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT/TRANSMISSION REBUILT/ TIRES WERE WEARING UNEVENLY/REAR SPRINGS HAD TO BE REINSTALLED *AK THE POWER STEERING PUMP FAILURE RESULTED IN A LOSS OF POWER ASSIST TO BRAKES CAUSING ACCIDENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES BUT THE PASSENGER DOOR CAVED IN. *YH
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES AT 30MPH PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR ,RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, AND CAUSING A COLLISION AND INJURY. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED.*AK
WE'VE HAD DRIVETRAIN VIBRATION TROUBLE WITH OUR TRUCK SINCE IT WAS ALMOST NEW. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE DEPT. SEVERAL TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED DIFFERENT ITEMS WITHOUT FIXING THE PROBLEMS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REDUCED SOME OF THE VIBRATIONS. THE VIBRATION GETS BAD ENOUGH THAT THE DOME LIGHT COVER HAS FALLEN OFF DUE TO VIBRATIONS. FROM WHAT WE'VE RESEARCHED G.M. HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE '99,2000 &2001 SILVERADO TRUCKS AND HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEMS. THE LAST VISIT TO THE SERVICE DEPT., WE WERE TOLD THAT "YES" THERE IS VIBRATION WITH OUR TRUCK, BUT IT'S WITHIN GM SPECS AND THEY CAN'T OR WON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE WITH IT. WE NOW HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE WITH OUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE THE TRUCK SOMETIMES JUMPS FOWARD. WE ARE GOING THROUGH ARBITRATION WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND SPEAKING WITH THE GM REP. ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS, HE FELT THAT THESE PROBLEMS WERE NOT SAFETY RELATED. I TOLD HIM THAT IF A TRUCK JUMPS FOWARD WITH THE BRAKE ON IS A SAFETY PROBLEM. I TOLD HIM THE VIBRATION PROBLEM WAS A SAFETY ISSUE ALSO DUE TO THE STRESS PUT ON VIBRATING PARTS IN THE SHORT OR LONG RUN. THE GM REP. IS ACTING LIKE WE HAVE THE ONLY TRUCK WITH THIS PROBLEM, WHICH IS NOT THE CASE. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM HERE TO TELL MORE ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AND WERE MORE THEN HAPPY TO DISCUSS THESE PROBLEMS.
THIS IS THE SECOND TRUCK I HAVE OWNED IN WHICH THE BRAKES HAVE FAILED. THE BRAKES ALSO FAILED ON THE TRUCK I PREVIOUSLY OWNED AND THIS VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT BACK BY GENERAL MOTORS. I KNOW OF TWO MORE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THEIR TRUCKS BOUGHT BACK BY GM, AND THEIR NEW TRUCKS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE OLD TRUCKS WITH THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. IT IS TIME FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE GM REPAIR THESE TRUCKS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED OR KILLED.*AK
HIT A GUARD RAIL HEAD ON, WENT OVER IT AND NOSE DIVED INTO A 10FT. DEEP DITCH, FLIPPING ONTO THE ROOF. NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED AFTER HITTING THE FRONT END TWICE.*AK
DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED FOR ENGINE KNOCK THREE WEEKS AFTER DATE OF PURCHASE. DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND SOURCE OF PROBLEM, BUT STATED THAT WAS NORMAL IN VEHICLES FOR THAT MAKE/MODEL AND YEAR. *AK *SLC
WHILE DEFROSTING FRONT WINDSHIELD, A LARGE CRACK APPEARED ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME. *AK *JB
BRAKES WOULD NOT STOP TRUCK ON WET, ROUGH, BLACKTOP, 20% SLOPE HILL. BRAKES FAILED. *AK
THERE IS CONSTANT VIBRATION AT 25-35 MPH THAT CAN BE FELT THROUGH STEERING WHEEL. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO DEALER 4 TIMES, DEALER INSISTS THAT VIBRATION IS NORMAL FOR THIS TYPE VEHICLE. *AK
THERE IS A KNOCK AT START UP AND A CONSTANT TICKING IN THE ENGINE. PH
PASSENGERSIDE SEAT BELT RETRACTS AND LOCKS,THE PASSENGER. THE BELT MUST BE UNLATCHED AND REFASTENED. THE SEAT BELT DOES NOT SEEM TO HOLD WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED VERY HARD. DEALER HAS NO WAY TO CHECK TO SEE IF SEAT BELT IS OPERATING CORRECTLY. I WAS GOING TO BE CHARGED FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF NEW PARTS. THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THE PART IS DEFECTIVE?*AK
2000 SILVERADO PICKUP. BRAKES WILL NOT STOP VEHICLE- SLOW IT DOWN AND IT ROLLS TO A STOP. LOW SPEEDS. HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY- ESPECIALLY DURING RAIN OR MUDDY ROAD CONDITIONS. STRONGLY BELIEVED TO BE IMPROPER SENSING OR ADJUSTMENT BY ABS SYSTEM. DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HAWAII NOT PART OF RECALL. IS THIS A MATTER OF WHAT STATES SENDS IN THE MOST VOTES OR A MATTER OF SAFETY? GM HAS A FAULTY PRODUCT- I AND MY FAMILY ARE ENDANGERED AND I WANT IT FIXED- AS DO OTHERS HERE IN HAWAII. *NM
PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AND PARKED. THEN, CONSUMER PUMPED BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WENT TO THE FLOOR, THERE WERE NO BRAKES. CONSUMER PUT VEHICLE IN GEAR AND IT STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS. TOOK TO DEALER, AND THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL FOR BRAKES TO GO TO THE FLOOR. *AK
AFTER STARTING VEHICLE APPLIED BRAKE TO GET READY TO BACK OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR, AND VEHICLE CONTINUED BACKWARDS. ABS LIGHT WAS ON, HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER, WHO SAID BRAKES WERE FINE. CHEVROLET COMPANY TOLD CONSUMER THAT WAS HOW BRAKES ACTED IN A VEHICLE WITH ABS. CONSUMER TEST DROVE 10 OTHER VEHICLES LIKE IT AT DEALERS, ALL 10 HAD BRAKES THAT DID NOT GO TO FLOOR. BRAKES WORKED ON CONSUMER'S VEHICLE, BUT PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR BEFORE THERE WAS ANY BRAKING ACTION. *AK
WENT TO THE STORE. THE BRAKES WAS FINE HAD A HARD PEDAL. CAME BACK OUT STARTED THE TRUCK. PUT FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. PUT THE TRUCK IN REVERSE TRUCK STARTED TO BACK UP. PUT TRUCK BACK IN PARK. CALLED GM. PUT THE TRUCK IN THE SHOP. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH LITTLE PRESSURE OVER THE WEEKEND. GM SAYS NO PROBLEM FOUND AND SHOWED ME ANOTHER TRUCK ABOUT LIKE MINE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I DROVE SEVERAL OTHER TRUCKS HAD HARD PEDAL ON THEM. I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THESE TRUCKS AND WILL NOT TAKE MINE BACK UNLESS THEY ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. THEY ARE SAYING THAT NOTHING IS WRONG AND WAS NOT WRONG. ALTHOUGH I HAVE 7 WITNESSES TO THE PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT IN THESE TRUCKS. THANK YOU.*AK
WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK IT JUIMPED OUT OF GEAR AND INTO REVERSE, AND HIT A TRAILER, CAUSING A CRASH. VEHICLE WAS STILL IN "PARKED" POSITION. *AK WHEN THE VEHICLE COULD NOT GET TRACTION ON ICE/SNOW, THE DRIVER STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND PUT INTO PARK BUT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY MOVED IN REVERSE. *YH
WHILE APPLYING BRAKES AND PULLING INTO GARAGE BRAKE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO FLOOR, CAUSING VEHICLE TO DAMAGE FRONT BUMPER AND HOOD. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK THE DEALER COULDN'T FIND PROBLEM. *YH
REAR DOORS WOULD NOT CLOSE/LATCH PROPERLY DURING COLD WEATHER. DEALER/MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED, AND PROBLEM STILL UNRESOLVEED. *AK THE DEALER REPLACED THE LATCHES AND THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. *YH
THE HEATER DOES NOT DISTRIBUTE ADEQUATE AMOUNTS OF HEAT INTO THE PASSENGER'S FOOTWELL. WITH THE HEATER AT MAX. TEMP AND AIRFLOW AND THE FLOW ALL DIRECTED TO THE FLOOR, THE DRIVER WAS BAKING BUT THE PASSENGER'S FEET NEEDED A BLANKET WRAPPED AROUND THEM TO KEEP THEM SOMEWHAT COMFORTABLE WITH OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES IN THE THE 12 DEGREE AREA. THIS WENT ON FROM COLORADO TO TENNESSEE AND BACK OVER CHRISTMAS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THE DEALER CONTACTED GM'S TECH. SUPPORT, THE TRUCK WAS CHECKED; "THE HEATER IS PERFORMING TO SPECS."!!!! NOW I'M TOLD TO KEEP WORKING WITH THE DEALER. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO KEEP WORKING WITH SINCE THEY'VE BEEN TOLD BY GM THAT EVERYTHING IS OK? GM'S CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE NOTES THAT THERE IS A GM "POOR HEATER PERFORMANCE REVIEW" CURRENTLY GOING ON WITHIN GM BUT OFFERS NO OTHER HOPE OF A SOLUTION. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING AND REAL COLD ON LONG TRIPS WHEN I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET COMFORTABLE. PLEASE LIGHT A FIRE UNDER GM SINCE I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING 10-15 MPH DRIVER TRIED TO STOP, BRAKES FAILED AND VEHICLE STRUCK A STEEL PIPE. VEHICLE DAMAGE DID OCCUR. DRIVER ONLY PASSENGER. BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. NO PRIOR WARNINGS BEFORE INCIDENT. *AK
