Electric power steering failure due to tie rod bellows failure, this is an incredibly dangerous and irresponsible engineering design, moisture entered the electric motor causing it to fail, my wife's failed at highway speeds and almost caused a wreck, she could have been killed, if I could afford to sue I would, our other vehicle is down and we are forced to drive this dangerous vehicle putting us and others in harms way, this is terrible and absurd.
When turning the power steering gave out and made the truck completely lose power while going and turning at a slow speed
twice know i have had the truck shutdown when turning to the left at slow speed . Took the truck to a maint shop and they had three codes in the computer but nothing they could fix so they cleared the codes and said to drive it and if it happens again to bring it in and they'll see what they can find out ,but my have to go to agm service center to have it checked . so I'm drive carefully and hope not to have a accident.
Driving down the road and turning into my driveway, the power steering went out, the truck cut off - then after a few minutes, the truck started, then the display showed “Open then close driver window” & now displays “Service Power Steering, Drive With Care”
Noticeable at night. Headlights on, turn signal on, foot on brake slowing down, making a turn, 1) headlights flicker, 2) headlights flicker and complete dash goes black, or 3) all of #2 and steering goes stiff. Has been happening more often. Last time, during the day, turning against oncoming traffic and engine shutdown, started again, shutdown and started, again with dash going black and steering went stiff. When the engine stops and restarts, it does it on its own. I don’t need to turn the ignition key. Very unnerving. My wife won’t drive the truck. Safety at risk is a “yes”. I have noticed when this all happens, the traction control wording comes on the dash and a bell rings. All this has been happening over the last six months. Vehicle only has 94K miles on it.
For almost 8 months, the electrical system experiences complete malfuncation. First it was stabilitrac lighting up, the steering wheel would jerk out of my hands. To issue to mechanic where ground wire under passenger side was cleaned and re-installed. This seemed only a temporary fix. As of today, the 2014 Silverado 1500 LT is experiencing flickering dash lights, surging and dropping voltage (battery/alternator tested at normal driving levels), flickering healights. The worst of the situation is complete electrical malfuncation causing the truck to shut down while driving. This has happened twice in the last 2 weeks. It occurs when the vehicle comes to a stop, then when I try to turn, the voltage drops, dash flickers and the truck shuts down as I try to accelerate into a turn.
While driving the vehicle the truck will lose all power steering. It sometimes works and sometimes doesnt work

I was merging on to the expressway and my truck kept going to the left into traffic towards a concrete median. I turned my wheel to the right to try to avoid it and started to spin out and went back to the right side of the expressway which was four lanes wide and slammed into the guardrail. After the wreck I noticed my ABS light was on I’m not sure if it came on as I was merging onto the expressway.
Electronic power steering assist malfunction and failure. The power steering went out as i was driving with my girlfriend in the truck and it has been stuck on the side of the road in ocean city new jersey. The problem was confirmed by millevois auto repair in ocean city. There was no warning. It says the recall was serviced before hand but it is obviously still failing. i don’t have the money to pay the $3000 to get it fixed and towed on my own for something that was a manufacturing issue. please help me. please have the recall fixed.
I am having issues with the steering. I keep getting a message about the stabilitrak on my truck and when I drive it the power steering just stops and I have to gain control of my truck. I would think that this should be a safety recall. Please assist with looking into this for me please.
