TAKATA RECALL, MY DASHBOARD HAS 2 CRACKS IN IT,,,,OVER THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, THEN OVER THE INSTRUMENTS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE.
WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE DASHBOARD CRACKED JUST ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THERE ARE 2 CRACKS. ONE IS ABOUT 4 INCHES WHILE THE OTHER IS ABOUT TWO INCHES. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, IT APPEARS THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH GM VEHICLES.
MY CAR IS ONE OF THE MANY VEHICLES THAT ARE BEING DRIVEN ON A DAILY BASIS RISKING THE LIFE OF MY FAMILY BECAUSE WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THIS RECALL HAS NOT DONE ENOUGH TO FIX THE PROBLEM REGARDING THIS FLAWED AIRBAGS THAT MAKE US PLAY RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH WITH OUR LIFE'S EVERYDAY THAT WE HAVE TO DRIVE OUR CARS TO GO TO WORK OR PICK UP OUR KIDS FROM SCHOOL. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A REPAIR SINCE WE BOUGHT OUR CAR ON MAY 2017. BUYING AMERICAN DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A VIABLE OPTION ANYMORE. SO FAR WE HAVE DRIVEN THIS DEATH TRAP FOR ABOUT 26000 MILES. EVERY MORNING BOTH OF US AS DRIVERS PRAY THAT THAT DAY WON'T BE THE DAY THE AIR BAGS INFLATE IF WE GET IN A FENDER BENDER
THE DASH IS CRACKED GOING FROM THE PASSENGER AIR BAG COVER TO THE DEFROSTER VENT.
DASH HAS CRACKED IN (2) PLACES THAT COULD CAUSE SAFETY ISSUES WITH AIR BAGS IF BAGS WERE NEEDED TO DEPLOY. VEHICLE HAS 38K MILES AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGE KEPT, SO SUNLIGHT DAMAGE AND ARMOR ALL PROTECTANT ARE NOT THE PROBLEM.
GOT INTO MY 2011 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ ON A SPRING AFTERNOON, STARTED THE TRUCK, PUT MY TRUCK IN DRIVE, STARTED MOVING AND HEARD A VIBRATING NOISE. LOOKED AROUND MY DASH AND NOTICED 2 CRACKS ON MY DASHBOARD. WHICH HAS NOW TURNED INTO 2 CRACKS ON MY DASH. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN SO FAST? NOW I AM READING ONLINE THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH CERTAIN MODELS. WHY ISN'T THIS BEING HANDLED BY GM? NICE TRUCK WHEN I FIRST GOT IT BUT NOW I AM THINKING ABOUT TRADING IN FOR ANYTHING BUT THIS. I'VE HAD THE TRUCK 4 YEARS AND HAVE A CRACKED DASH AND SMELLS OF MOLD THAT MY CAR DEALER CAN'T FIND THE CAUSE OF. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN YOU GM.
I PURCHASED MY TAHOE DECEMBER 31ST 2016 AND I NOTICED A FEW WEEKS AGO THAT THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AND IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING BIGGER.
CAR IS SHUTTING OFF WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT TO RADICALLY THE LIGHTS WILL TURN OFF ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF DOOR LOCKS WON'T ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE HAS HAPPENED TWICE AT 70 MILES AN HOUR ALMOST HAD ACCIDENTS. HAND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK BATTERY ALTERNATOR BY GM CERTIFIED MECHANIC AND ALL CHECKED OUT FINE. I AM CONCERNED THIS VEHICLE HAS A BAD IGNITION SWITCH WHICH HAS BEEN RECALLED ON OTHER MODELS OF VEHICLES AND I DO UNDERSTAND SOME CHEVROLET SUVS HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THOSE RECALLS THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I'VE SEEN A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. I WAS DRIVING DOWN A GRAVEL ROAD AND IT JUST CRACKED.
MY 2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ IS GARAGE KEPT. THE DASHBOARD BEGAN CRACKING IN MARCH 2017 FROM UNKNOWN INJURY/ACCIDENT AND HAS PROGRESSIVELY WORSENED. NOW, WHILE DRIVING, THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD MAKES NOISE AND "FLAPS" REPEATEDLY. WHEN THIS BEGAN, MY CAR HAD APPROXIMATELY 79,000 MILES AND NOW MY CAR IN AUGUST 2017 HAS 85,000 MILES.

DASH BOARD HAD DEVELOPED CRACKS IN IT. IT IS VERY LOOSE AND RATTLES. CRACKS ARE OVER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND THE AIR BAG.
DASH CRACKED ON DRIVERS SIDE ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER NORMAL OPERATION CONDITIONS.
CRACKS ON DASHBOARD ONE ABOVE SPEEDOMETER AND THE OTHER ON LEFT SIDE OF PASSENGER AIRBAG. I AM AFRAID IF I'M IN AN ACCIDENT THAT AIRBAG WON'T DEPLOY OR PIECES WILL SHATTER AND FLY INTO PASSENGER.
I ATTEMPTED TO TRADE IN MY TRUCK AND WAS TOLD THAT SINCE MY CAR HAS AN OPEN RECALL, THE VALUE IS GREATLY DECREASED. WHY IS THE GOVERNEMENT ALLOWING ME TO DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE ME HARM AND NOT PROPERLY PROTECT ME IN THE EVENT OF A WRECK
CRACKED DASHBOARD. MULTIPLE CRACKS INCLUDING ONE BY PASSENGER AIRBAG.
THE DASH IS CRACKED IN 2 PLACES. 1 LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT AFFECT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG.
THE DASH IN MY CAR CRACKED FOR NO REASON. WHAT CONCERNS ME IS THAT THE CRACK IS NEXT TO THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IF THIS AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY IT COULD CAUSE THE BROKEN PIECES OF DASH TO TURN INTO PROJECTILES CAUSING A DANGEROUS IF NOT DEADLY INJURY. THIS VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN ON ANYTHING BUT SMOOTH PAVED ROADS. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 61,200 MILES ON IT. WE WERE ON AN INTERSTATE WHEN THIS OCCURRED.
CAME OUT OF WORK IN JANUARY AND FOUND THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL.
CRACKING DASH
WE HAVE A CRACK ON THE DASHBOARD AROUND THE AIRBAG. WE HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS TO GET GM TO FIX THE CRACK AND THE 1ST OPTION FROM A LOCAL DEALERSHIP WAS TO REFER US TO A MAN THAT COULD FILL IT IN CAN PAINT IT TO MATCH. A 3 YEAR OLD CHILD USING SILLY PUDDY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB AND THE CRACK WAS STILL THERE. OUR NEXT TRY WAS TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED IT AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T FIX IT AND REFERRED US TO A COMPANY DOWN THE STREET TO REPAIR IT. THAT COMPANY WAS A CAR ACCESSORY STORE THAT SAID THEY DIDN'T DO THAT TYPE OF WORK. THEN I EMAILED GM BECAUSE MY RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET REVEALED THAT THIS WAS A PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL GM MODELS. SO I EMAIL GM, WHO FIRST TOLD ME THAT IT WASN'T ANYTHING THEY COULD DO. AFTER I EXPLAINED I WAS A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR SOME 30+ YEARS AND WHEN I PURCHASED THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE, WE ALSO BOUGHT A SILVERADO PICKUP AT THE SAME TIME. THEN I WAS REFERRED TO SOMEONE ELSE AND OVER A PERIOD OF 3 WEEKS, I FINALLY GO TO SPEAK WITH A PERSON WHO INSTRUCTED ME TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND LET THEM GET AN ESTIMATE OF HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST. THEY FIGURED THE COST AT $800.00 AND TOLD US WE HAD TO PAY $500.00 AND THEY WOULD COVER $300.00. I CAN'T SEE WHY WE MUST PAY FOR A DESIGN DEFECT THAT WE COULD NOT HAVE PREVENTED FROM HAPPENING. I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THIS CAR AND I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO KEEP IT IN GOOD CONDITION. WHY SHOULD THE CONSUMER HAVE TO PAY FOR FLAWS IN THE DESIGN OF ANY CAR THAT'S BEING SOLD?

DASHBOARD IS SEPARATING AND RATTLING NEAR PASSENGER AIRBAG
MY AIRBAG LIGHT TURNED ON ABOUT 9 MONTHS AGO, I TOOK IT TO THE CAR DEARSHIP AND THEY ADVISE THAT THE AIRBAG INFACT HAVE A RECALL, BUT THEY DONT HAVE THE FIX. WHAT IS THIS? HOW CAN I PAY SO MUCH FOR A VEHICLE TO DRIVE UNSAVE, THAT AT ANY MINUTE THEY COULD DEFLATE, OR IF SOMETHING HAPPENS I COULD BE KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT, BECAUSE OF THEIR MALFUNCTION. I NEED A RESOLUTION ON THIS MATTER ASAP. I HAVE 2 KIDS AND I DRIVE 1 HOUR TO WORK AND BACK SIX DAYS A WEEK.

DASHBOARD CRACKED BY INSTRUMENT PANEL - GOT IN ONE DAY AND NOTICED IT
THE DASH IS CRACKING IN MULTIPLE PLACES ON DRIVER SIDE ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND ALSO IS CRACKING AROUND THE AIRBAG ON PASSENGER SIDE AS WELL, I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AS WELL AS MY PASSENGERS IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, OF PIECES FLYING FROM DASH IN CASE OF A FRONTAL COLLISION. GM NEEDS TO RECALL DUE TO PROBLEM
THE DASHBOARD HAS A DIAGONAL CRACK FROM THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER OF THE AIR BAG COVER TOWARD THE DRIVER AND WINDOW. IT IS APPROXIMATELY 1 INCH LONG AND .060 WIDE. THERE IS ALSO A CRACK ON THE DASH ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT GAUGES THAT IS APPROXIMATELY 3 INCHES LONG AND SOME WHAT THIN AND JAGGED. IT STARTS SLIGHT LEFT OF THE DRIVERS LINE OF SIGHT WHERE THERE IS A TRANSITION RADIUS AND RUNS TOWARD THE WINDSHIELD. BOTH OF THESE CRACKS OCCURRED DURING FREEZING OUTSIDE TEMPERATFURES.

THE DASHBOARD IN MY 2011 CHEVY TAHOE BEGAN CRACKING AT APPROXMATELY 70K MILES. IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH I'M CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFEFTY AS THE DASHBOARD CONTINUES TO CRACK IN A SPIDERWEB FASHON. I'VE CONTACTED MY CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY VEHICLES ORIGINAL 3 YEAR/36,000 MILE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED AND I CAN CONTACT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE DEFECT FIXED AT MY EXPENSE. THIS VEHICLE WAS $55K BRAND NEW AND IT IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT FOR THE DASHBOARD TO CRACK AFTER 4 YEARS OR ANY OTHER TIME AND EXPECTING CUSTOMES TO PAY OVER $1000 TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE IS UNACCEPTABLE. THIS IS A DEFECT THAT SHOULD BE CORRECTED AT NO COST TO VEHICLE OWNERS.

CRACKED DASH - THE DASH ON THE CAR HAS CRACKS IN MULTIPLE AREAS NEAR AIR BAG AND OVER THE ODOMOTER. VERY COMMON ISSUE ON THIS CAR. CHEVY EVEN IMPROVED THIS PIECE FOR FUTURE CARS BUT WONT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS WAS A DEFECT TO BEGIN WITH.
TAKATA RECALL. THIS VEHICLE HAS RECALL AIRBAGS. GM FOOT DRAGGING CLAIMING "NO PARTS" BUT OTHER MANF APPEAR TO HAVE. ENDEMIC PROBLEM WITH CRACKED DASH ON GM VEHICLES MAKES DANGER AIRBAGS EVEN MORE THREAT FOR FRONT SEAT PAX. THIS VEHICLE DASH REPLACED ONCE ALREADY. GM REFUSES TO PAY BUT THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
PURCHASED VEHICLE USED IN NOVEMBER 2015. THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD ADJACENT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. IT CURRENTLY HAS NOT GOTTEN WORSE. IN THE LAST TWO DAYS A NEW LARGER CRACK SEEMS TO BE PROGRESSING ON THE HUMP OF DASH ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. AFTER RESEARCHING IT SEEMS THIS IS A CONSISTENT ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL FOR YEARS 2007-2011. MY COWORKER HAS A 2007 AND HAS SUFFERED WITH SAME PROBLEMS. ANOTHER COWORKER WHO OWNS A TOYOTA RECEIVED OFFICIAL INFORMATION TELLING HER THAT THERE ARE ISSUES RELATING TO CRACKING DASHBOARDS AND IF IT IS NEAR THE AIRBAG THE AIRBAG CAN SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOY AND NOT TO LET PEOPLE SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT. IF THIS IS THE SAME FOR THE TAHOE I AM DEEPLY CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND OTHERS WHO RIDE WITH ME. ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS VEHICLE IS APART OF AIRBAG RECALL AND IS WAITING TO BE FIXED. THE CRACK WAS NOTICED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. EARLIER IN THE WEEK WHILE DRIVING TO WORK I HEARD A CRACKING SOUND BUT DID NOT SEE ANYTHING OBVIOUS AT THE TIME.
THE DASH IS CRACKING AROUND THE AIR BAGS
VEHICLE NEVER BEEN IN ACCIDENT ONLY HAS 39,000 MILES AND HAS 3 CRACKS SPIDERING OFF ONE ANOTHER ON DRIVER SIDE DASH BOARD
DASH PAD CRACKED OVER BOTH THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND AIR BAG. OCT 1 2016 SELECTED AS HAPPEN DATE HOWEVER, THAT IS AN ESTIMATION FOR THE APPROXIMATE TIME.
THERE IS A CRACK IN THE LEFT UPPER SIDE OF THE DASH WHERE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS. THIS HAPPENED WITH AROUND 60K MILES ON IT.
2011 TAHOE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED, BY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, POTENTIALLY CAUSING A DANGEROUS CONDITION.
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING ON MY 2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE AND I SEE THERE ARE MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE.
PURCHASED A USED 2011 CHEVROLET TAHOE WITH 56,000 MILES AND IT HAS A CRACKED DASHBOARD ABOVE THE SPEEDOMETER CLUSTER. SPOKE WITH THE CHEVROLET DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THEY STATED CHEVROLET WILL NOT REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE DASHBOARD.
VEHICLE HAS A CRACKED DASH NEXT TO THE PASS ANGER SIDE AIR BAG
I HAVE A LARGE CRACK GOING DOWN THE DASHBOARD OF MY TRUCK THE STEMS DIRECTLY FROM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I HAVE CONTACTED BOTH THE DEALER AS WELL AS CHEVROLET REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A SOLUTION. I AM CONCERNED THAT IF THERE WOULD BE SOME SORT OF AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED, MY DASH WOULD EITHER IMPROPERLY SUPPORT THE AIRBAG AT EXPLOSION OR PIECES OF SCRAP PLASTIC WOULD FLY AROUND THE CABIN
CRACKED DASHBOARD: LARGE CRACK ON DRIVER SIDE AND SMALL CRACK ON PASSENGER SIDE.
MY DASH BOARD IN MY VEHICLE IS CRACKING FOR NO REASON! IT IS CRACKING IN 2 DIFFERENT SPOTS. ONE IN FRONT OF DRIVER BUT THE ONE THAT REALLY CONCERNS ME IS THE ONE ON PASSENGER SIDE. THE CRACK GOES TO THE AIR BAG AND I'M SO SCARED MY BAG WILL DEPLOY RANDOMLY LIKE THE CRACK APPEARED OR IF IT DEPLOYS UPON IMPACT SHARP HARD PLASTIC EDGES CAN BE HARMFUL! THIS IS NOT JUST COSMETIC AND EVEN IF IT WERE CHEVROLET NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE!
