Brakes failed for no apparent reason around 8:00 am that morning. My friend and I was driving to my home in his 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer after many stops that morning. We was on the interstate doing 65 MPH. I noticed the traffic ahead approaching and I said "cars" indicating to my friend to slow down. He said "I have no brakes!" We narrowly missed the first cars and while readjusting we came into contact with the driver side of three vehicles rolling us on our side! I broke both my arms escaping thankfully with my life. We had no idea what suddenly and unexpectedly lost brakes. Weeks afterwards I started reading about the stabilitrac and steering sensor on the 1 of many Chevrolet vehicle defect issues. Around that year and I believe was the problem. I have been out of work and tried to explain this to people with no reply. I read an article about Chevrolet told about the issue and refused a recall. Senator Blumenthal requested an investigation but I haven't seen anything after a judge requested a Chevrolet CEO deposed. WHEN TURN THE CAR OFF AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, THERE ARE TWO SPEAKERS THAT CONTINUE TO MAKE STATIC NOISE, WHETHER I HAVE OPENED THE DOOR OR NOT. IF I BUMP OR HIT THE CENTER CONSOLE IT WILL MAKE THE SPEAKERS LOUDER OR TURN OFF. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON FOR MULTIPLE CODES, AND I HAVE WORN OUT SHOCKS. THE SHOCKS SHOULD MAKE ME FEEL AS IF I AM GLIDING, BUR I FEEL AND JERK TO EVERY BUMP.

THIS VEHICLE WAS IN A REAR TO REAR ACCIDENT ON 06/04/13. EVERY SINCE THE ACCIDENT THE REAR HAS BEEN DOWN AND IT WAS TAKEN TO SERRA CHEVROLET IN BARTLETT, TN ON 09/16/13. THEY DETERMINE THAT THE REAR AIR SPRINGS WAS NOT AIRING UP AND WAS NOT CAUSED BY THE ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME ON 09/19/13 BY THE COLLISION REPAIR SHOP. ON 09/19/13 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO SERRA CHEVROLET IN BARTLETT, TN AND DROPED OFF FOR THE EARLY BIRD. THAT FRIDAY 09/20/13, I WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE REAR COMPRESSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS NO PSI WAS ENGAGING IN THE REAR AIR SPRINGS. I ADVISED THEM OKAY AND TO GO AHEAD AND COMPLETE THE JOB. THEY ADVISED ME THAT MY VEHICLE WOULD BE READY THAT AFTERNOON. CALL RECEIVED AT 3:42 PM ON 09/20/13 ADVISING THAT MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE READY ON 09/20/13, BUT WOULD BE READY BY MONDAY 09/23/13 AROUND 11:00 AM. I ADVISED HIM (DAVID LANE) THAT I WAS WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION AND THAT I HAD TODDLER THAT WAS SICK AND NEEDED TRANSPORTATION. HE STATED HE DID NOT HAVE ANY VEHICLES THAT HE COULD LOAN ME. ON MONDAY 09/23/13, SINCE I HAD NOT RECEIVED A CALL AT (11:00 AM THE PROMISE TIME) I CALLED AT 12:30 PM, TO CHECK ON THE VEHICLE. AT THAT TIME, I WAS ADVISED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS READY AND THAT I COULD COME AND PICK IT UP. I ARRIVE TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE ON 09/23/13 AT 1:48 PM AND PAID $885.39. I LEFT AND TOOK POSSESSION OF MY VEHICLE. ON 09/24/13, WHEN LEAVING WORK I NOTICED THAT MY REAR END WAS DOWN AGAIN AND I IMMEDIATELY CALLED SERRA CHEVROLET AND LEFT MESSAGE FOR DAVID LANE. HE RETURNED MY CALL ON 09/25/13 AND ASKED THAT I BRING THE VEHICLE IN ON 09/26/13 BY 8;00 AM. I RETURNED THE VEHICLE ON 09/26/13 AT THE TIME ASKED. AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER I WAS ADVISED THAT THE AIR SHOCKS HAD PIN HOLES IN THEM AND THAT THEY REALLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE STATED THAT THIS WOULD BE $551.00 IN ADDITION. I ASKED IF THE *JS

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ONE CODE P0461 - FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH VOLTAGE. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS AND SHOULD BE A RECALLABLE ISSUE. FURTHERMORE, THE SUSPENSION ON THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN A FINANCIAL DRAIN FROM THE SWAY BAR LINKS, FRONT END LINKS STABILIZER SHAFT AND BALL JOINTS. *TR
TWO WEEKS AGO WE PUT NEW TIRES ON MY TRAILBLAZER AT 28,700 MI. WE WERE LEAVING FOR A TRIP AND TOOK IT TO HAVE THE FRONT END ALIGNED TO BE SURE THE NEW TIRES WORE PROPERLY. WE DID NOT GO TO OUR DEALER AS THERE WAS NO TIME BEFORE THE TRIP. UPON CHECKING THE CAR, THEY DISCOVERED BOTH MY FRONT STRUTS WERE LEAKING BADLY AND THEY NO LONGER GAVE A FIRM RIDE. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO HAVE THEM REPLACE BOTH STRUTS AT ONLY 28,700 MI. THE REPAIR SHOP WAS QUITE SURPRISED THAT BOTH STRUTS WERE BAD. MY TRAILBLAZER IS GARAGED, HAS EXTREMELY LOW MILEAGE, IS DRIVEN ONLY ON CITY STREETS OR FREEWAY AND NEVER CARRIES ANY LOADS. EVEN THOUGH WE WERE PAST THE 36 MO. PORTION OF THE WARRANTY, THE REPAIR SHOP TOLD US THAT THEY FELT THE STRUTS SHOULD HAVE LASTED FAR LONGER THAN 28,700 MI. AND THAT WITH THE EXCELLENT CARE OF MY CAR, IT WAS FAR TOO EARLY FOR THEM TO HAVE TO BE REPLACED. I CHECKED WITH SOME FRIENDS WHO HAD THEIR CARS FOR FAR LONGER THAN ME AND MANY MORE MILES ON IT AND THEY HAD NEVER HAD ANY ISSUE WITH STRUTS. I DECIDED TO CONTACT GM TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THEY CONTACTED ME AND THE INTERVIEWER TOLD ME THAT SHE COMPLETELY UNDERSTOOD WHY I WOULD BE UPSET. HOWEVER, TODAY I WAS CALLED AND TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT HELP WITH ANY OF THE COST FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE STRUTS. MY CONCERN IS FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT OWN CHEVY VEHICLES WITH THE SAME STRUTS. WE WERE TOLD THAT WE SHOULD NOT DRIVE OUR CAR WITH THE BAD STRUTS ON THE FREEWAY BECAUSE IT WAS NOT SAFE. I WANT TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT SO THAT OTHERS CAN BE MADE AWARE OF THE POSSIBLE DANGERS OF THE STRUTS FAILING AT SUCH AN EARLY MILEAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
