REGARDING MY 2012 CHRYSLER 200 SPEEDING UP ON ITS OWN AND THE CRUISE CONTROL GETTING STUCK AND BEING DIFFICULT TO DISENGAGE. THIS HAPPENED ON A HIGHWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200 CONVERTIBLE. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE CONVERTIBLE TOP, THE LATCH USED TO SECURE THE ROOF FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP OF WINTER HAVEN (299 CYPRESS GARDENS BLVD, WINTER HAVEN, FL 33880, (888)-612-3182) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ROOF MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PART WAS DISCONTINUED AND RECOMMENDED THE CONTACT LOCATE THE PART. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TRY TO LOCATE PARTS THROUGHOUT HER STATE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
STILL NOT FIXED. CLEANED THROTTLE BODY, AND WHEN THAT DIDN'T RESOLVE THE ISSUE THEY REPLACED THROTTLE BODY. CAR STILL STALLS AT RANDOM TIMES, BOTH WHILE MOVING AND WAITING AT LIGHTS. ALMOST BEEN IN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. ALL LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND CONTROL OF THE CAR.
ALTERNATOR DIES AT 78,000 MILES. HEAT NO LONGER WORKS DUE TO HEATING CORE AT 60,000 MILES.
THE HEAD REST IS DETACHED FROM THE SEAT AND IS VERY UNSAFE
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON 295 S YESTERDAY AND IT LOST POWER AND THE HOT OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD TO PULL OVER BECAUSE I WAS ALMOST HIT BY AN 18 WHEELER AND SIT THERE FOR 30 MINUTES AND IT STATES IT IS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND THIS IS THE SECOND COMPLAINT I HAVE SENT TO YOU AND I HAVE TRIED TO CALL BUT NO ONE IS ANSWERING OR THEY HUNG UP ON ME.05 .

I HAD SAFETY RECALL ON ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS,I RECEIVED A NOTICE AND I PROCEED TO TAKE MY CAR TO MY CLOSEST DEALERSHIP,THEY TOLD ME THE TIPM WAS REPROGRAM,NEW ORC MODULE WAS INSTALLED AND S61 OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLED RECALL. THEY TOLD ME MY CAR WAS READY TO PICK UP. BUT I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I ASKED WHY MY AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON AND THEY STATED MY CAR CAN BE CHECK AGAIN BUT THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE ME 125 DLLS ONLY FOR THE DIAGNOSIS,PARTS AND LABOR WILL BE CHARGE SEPARATELY, I CANNOT PAY FOR THAT, AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ME AND MY FAMILY. AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON , GOING THREW BRAKES AND TIRES EVERY 6 MONTHS SENSE I BOUGHT IT IN 2016. ALSO NO HEAT STARTED AT PASSANGER SIDE AND WORKED ITS WAY TOWARDS DRIVERS SIDE. ALSO FRONT WINDOWS DO NOT GO DOWN STARTED PASSANGER SIDE AND 3 MONTHS LATER NO DRIVER SIDE. ALSO WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35 MPH MADE RIGHT HAND TURN CAR HAS STALLED 5 TIMES.
ENGINE SHUTS OFF ON HIGHWAY GOING FULL SPEED LIMIT SURROUNDED BY HEAVY TRAFFIC. I WAS TERRIFIED. THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON & CAN'T GET CAR STARTED. THEN CAR STARTS & ENGINE LIGHT GOES AWAY. NOT TO MENTION TRANSMISSION IS LEAKING & NEW TRANSMISSION WAS PUT IN 2015. CHRYSLER CAN'T GET ME IN UNTIL 4/19/18 BC ITS BUSY SEASON. THIS MAY BE WHY WINDSHIELD WIPERS COME ON EVERYTIME I TURN LEFT.

PREMIERE CHRYSLER IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,436.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
TAKATA RECALL, ABS AND TRACTION LIGHT ARE ON THEY MAKE A FUNNY NOISE WHEN I FIRST START THE CAR AND START DRIVING. BUT AFTER I GO SO FAR OR TO 25MPH, MY LIGHTS COME ON AND I BRAKE JUST FINE. 2012 CHRYSLER 200 CONVERTIBLE HEAT FAILS TO DEFROST WINDOW CAUSING TOTAL VISIBILITY LOSS AND INABILITY TO SEE OUT OF WINDSHIELD. LACK OF HEAT DOES NOT ALLOW FOR SAFE OPERATION OF VEHICLE. THIS OCCURS WHEN VEHICLE IS RUNNING. THE CAR CAN NOT WARM UP ENOUGH TO DEFROST WINDSHIELD. NO HEAT COMING FROM DEFROST OR VENTS. BLOWS COLD AIR. THIS OCCURS WHEN DRIVING OR STATIONARY. CAN NOT SEE! DANGEROUS!
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WINDSHIELD WIPERS ONLY WORK ON HIGH AND WHEN YOU TURN THEM OFF THEY JUST STAY IN ANY POSITION.
KNOWN ISSUE WITH HEATER CORE RESULTS IN NOT ONLY COMFORT ISSUES, BUT DRIVING HAZARD, AS THE DEFROSTER IS ALSO IMPACTED. HEAT DOES NOT FLOW FROM PASSENGER SIDE DEFROSTER, RESULTING IN LACK OF VISIBILITY. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONE TIME WHILE DRIVING, INCLUDING INSTANCES OF TOTAL BLOCKAGE OF VIEW ON RIGHT SIDE OF WINDSHIELD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LANDMARK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (1900 S NOLAND RD, INDEPENDENCE, MO 64055) FOUR TIMES, AND EACH TIME THE HEATER COOLER WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
NO HEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE, BLOWS COLD AIR. HOWEVER, THERE IS HEAT ON DRIVER'S SIDE. I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP BROKE HEATER DOOR/ACTUATOR. I GET TO THE PART THAT NEEDS REPAIR I WAS GIVEN A QUOTE OF $650 TO REMOVE DASHBOARD- LABOR COST., REPAIR/REPLACE COST IS NOT PART OF THE $650. REVIEWS SHOW THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINT WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM FOR 2012 200 CHRYSLER. IT 'S A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD DOES NOT DEFROST BECAUSE OF COLD AIR BEING BLOWN OUT . . . DOESN'T CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD IN COLD WEATHER NOR DOES IT KEEP WINDSHIELD CLEAR IN RAINY WEATHER. WHY HASN'T A MANDATORY RECALL BEEN ISSUED TO TO MANUFACTURER TO CORRECT/REPLACE PART. CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000 MILES. BLOWS COLD AIR BOTH WHEN STATIONARY AND WHILE IN MOTION ON ALL, ROAD WAYS, ALL THE TIME NO MATTER IF I AM TURNING, BRAKING OR DRIVING STRAIGHT --- NO HEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE.
CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING WITH NO WARNING SIGNAL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER CORE MALFUNCTIONED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE KERNERSVILLE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DEALER (950 NC-66, KERNERSVILLE, NC) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED AT APPROXIMATELY 72,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
THE HEATER CORE GETS CLOGGED UP AND YOUR WINDSHIELD VISIBILITY WILL NOT BE CEAR. THIA WILL CAUSE UNSAFE DRIVING MEASURES.NO HEAT MY CAR BLOWS OUT VOOL AIR ONLY.
NO HEAT TO PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR DUE TO PLUGGED HEATER CORE. WELL KNOWN ISSUE CAUSING REDUCED HEAT TO VEHICLE.
THERE ISN'T ANY HEAT ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE . THE DEALER SAID THE HEATER CORE AND THE RADIATOR ALSO THE THERMOSTAT' S . THE SAID THAT CHRYSLER PUTS IN A CHEMICAL THAT'S SUPPOSED TO FILL IN ANY PIN HOLES AND NOW A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER IT BECOMES SLUDGE AND CLOGS UP THE HEATER CORE AND EVERYTHING ELSE. AND NOW I HAVE A $2900 BILL THAT I HAVE TO PAY. IT'S NOT RIGHT FOR CHRYSLER TO DO THAT TO THE PUBLIC AND GET AWAY WITH IT.
COLD AIR BLOWS OUT PASSENGER SIDE VENTS

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED NO HEAT TO DEFROST WINDSHIELD, REPAIRS BEING MADE BY DEALER, BUT CONSUMER IS PAYING OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIRS. *TR

DRIVING VEHICLE AND INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS UP AND VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN. 1ST TIME - JULY 2015, THIS HAPPENED COMING INTO A ROUNDABOUT - LOST ALL POWER INCLUDING STEERING AND BRAKES. WAS LUCKY ENOUGH THAT NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE AROUND. DEALER REPLACED TIPM. SAME THING HAPPENED LESS THAN 1 YEAR LATER (APRIL 2016). IN A PARKING LOT AND VEHICLE JUST SHUT OFF. DEALER REPLACED TIPM AGAIN STATING PART FAILURE - UNDER WARRANTY SINCE WAS LESS THAN 1 YEAR SINCE REPLACEMENT. NOW LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER ON 12/26/17 VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY! WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE ON 2 LANE HIGHWAY INSTEAD OF 4 AND ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TOOK TO DEALER THAT PURCHASED FROM (HAPPENED CLOSER TO THAT DEALER THAN THE ONE THAT PREVIOUSLY HAD FIXED). EXPLAINED SITUATION, THAT PART WAS REPLACED BEFORE SAME THING HAPPENING. THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG, COULDNT FIND ANYTHING AND SENT ME ON MY WAY - DROVE BACK ROADS BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE. NOT EVEN 30 MILES LATER AND SAME THING HAPPENED. SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. ABLE TO RESTART VEHICLE EVERY TIME. TOOK TO DEALER THAT HAD FIXED IN THE PAST. TIPM FAILURE AGAIN! THIS IS 3 TIMES THAT THE PART HAS FAILED. COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AGAIN - THEY SAID PART WARRANTY HAD BEEN EXTENDED FROM 1 TO 2 YEARS. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND DEFINATELY A SAFETY HAZARD!! I GOT THE CAR FIXED AND TRADED IT IN THE DAY I GOT IT BACK! 3RD FAILURE WAS AT 113K MILES. CAR PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2012.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HAASZ AUTOMALL OF RAVENNA (4886 OH-59, RAVENNA, OH 44266) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE AND THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO PAY A DEDUCTIBLE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PURCHASED AT THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURE WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE DEDUCTIBLE NEEDED TO BE PAID. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,500.

SERVICE SHIFT LINKAGE MESSAGE CAME ON, WHAT MY DEALER FOUND, PRNDL DISPLAY CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND REPLACED ELECTRONIC SHIFT MODULE AND REPROGRAMED. @ A COST OF 582.98
THE VEHICLE HAS LOST MOST OF ITS HEATING CAPABILITIES AND WILL NOT DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS WE LIVE IN A COLD CLIMATE DURING THE WINTER AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AS WELL AS CAUSING THE DRIVER TO BE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE READ UP ON NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF THIS AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE HASN'T BEEN A RECALL SUBMITTED BY CHRYSLER. I EVEN HAD A PAST CHRYSLER MECHANIC INFORM ME THAT WHEN HE WAS WORKING FOR A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP THAT THE DEALERSHIP RECEIVED A LETTER INFORMING THEM THAT THEY WOULD START TO SEE THIS PROBLEM OCCURING WITH THESE VEHICLES. UNBELIEVABLE! AND YET NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED? THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED FOR SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS BEFORE PEOPLE ARE KILLED IF IT HASN'T HAPPENED ALREADY.
SLUDGE BUILD UP IN THE COOLING SYSTEM HAS CAUSED LOSS OF HEAT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AND IS DUE TO A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE CAUSED BY THE MANUFACTURER PUTTING IN THE WRONG COOLANT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GLENDALE CHRYSLER (10070 MANCHESTER RD, ST LOUIS, MO 63122) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE CORE RADIATOR, HEATER CORE, AND RADIATOR CAP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. SUNSET DODGE-CHRYSLER-JEEP-RAM (7745 SOUTH TAMIAMI TRAIL, SARASOTA, FL 34231-6841, 941-922-2400) WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES AND INFORMED HIM THAT THEY ONLY RECEIVED TWO REPLACEMENT PARTS PER MONTH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, THE HEATER ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FAILED TO FUNCTION AND PREVENTED THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FROM DEFROSTING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
DEFROST DOESN'T WORK. DEALERSHIP CALLS FOR REPLACING RADIATOR, HEATER CORE AND OIL COOLER DUE TO SLUDGE BUILD-UP/CLOGGING IN COOLANT/HEATING SYSTEM. THIS APPEARS TO BE DUE TO AN INCOMPATIBILITY BETWEEN THE COOLANT USED BY CHRYSLER AND THE CHEMICALS/OILS USED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF THE ENGINE SYSTEM. THIS IS 100% A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THE DEALER & MANUFACTURER ARE UNWILLING TO REPLACE. FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2012/2013 CHRYSLER 200, REGARDLESS OF ENGINE TYPE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS THE WINDSHIELD CAN BECOME FOGGED VERY QUICKLY WHILE DRIVING UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS (DAMP WEATHER) AND WITHOUT WARNING, POSING A SAFETY HAZARD. STARTED ABOUT ONE YEAR AGO.
THE WIPER BLADES COME ON BY THEMSELVES AND STAY ON FOR ABOUT TEN TO FIFTEEN SECONDS. THEY SHUT OFF BY THEMSELVES AS WELL. I CAN'T SHUT THEM OFF.
PASSENGER WINDSHIELD VISIBILITY DO TO HEATER CORE NOT GIVING HEAT AT PASSENGER SIDE CLOGGED AT ABOUT 70K MILES DANGEROUS TO ME AND ONCOMING TRAFFIC AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.
TAKATA RECALL I AM SURE YOU HAVE PROBABLY RECEIVED HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE, AS I HAVE RESEARCHED IT ONLINE & SEEN THE LONG LIST OF OTHER FRUSTRATED OWNERS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, IT IS A KNOWN COMMON PROBLEM THAT THE HEATING CORE IN THESE CHRYSLER 200 ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT WORK...IT BLOWS OUT COLD AIR. TEMPERATURES ARE NOW BELOW FREEZING. I DO NOT SEE FAIRNESS THAT ANY OWNERS HAVE TO SPEND A GRAND OR MORE REPLACING SOMETHING THAT OBVIOUSLY WAS MALFUNCTIONING IN MOST OF THEIR VEHICLES & MANY COMPLAINTS (INCLUDING MINE) HAVE BEEN SENT TO CHRYSLER. THIS HAS BEEN ON AN ISSUE NOW SINCE THE SEASON CHANGED & IT IS COLD. I DO NOT HAVE A GRAND TO SPEND NOR DO I HAVE WARRANTY ANYMORE .
TAKATA RECALL NO HEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE, BLOWS COLD AIR. UNABLE TO DEFROST PASSENGER SIDE OF WINDSHIELD. CHRYSLER SERVICE ADVISED THAT HEATERCORE PLUGGED, NEED TO REPLACE HEATER CORE, RADIATOR, ENGINE OIL COOLER & THERMOSTAT. HAD ALL REPLACED, AT A COST OF $2200. ONE YEAR LATER, SAME PROBLEM, NO HEAT PASSENGER SIDE.
PASSENGER SIDE HEATING AND DEFROST NOT WORKING AND BARELY WORKING ON DRIVER SIDE. WILL NOT DEFROST CAUSING TROUBLE WITH VISIBILITY... THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS VERY SAME ISSUE ON "CARCOMPLAINTS.COM" THE ISSUE BECAME NOTICEABLE WHEN IT STATE TO GET COLD IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER OF 2017 AROUND 68,000 MILES
THE ENTIRE HEATING SYSTEM FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT WORK. I CAN BE STATIONARY OR ON A ROADTRIP. I'M ONLY ABLE TO DEFROST A SMALL PART OF MY WINDSHIELD MAKING IT VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN THE WINTER. I HAVE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS ISSUE THAT SAY IT IS A MANUFACTURE PROBLEM AND COSTS AROUND $1,700 TO FIX. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAPPENS, AND TWICE, THE DEALERSHIP TELLS ME THE THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR, BUT THIS KEEPS HAPPENING.
CHRYSLER 200 2012 HAS ISSUE WITH HEADREST ASSEMBLY ON DRIVER SIDE. I HAD IT DIAGNOSED FROM CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. I ALSO READ RECALLS REGARDING THIS ISSUE IN SAME CARS BUT WHEN I PUT MY CAR'S VIN # TO CHECK ANY RECALL IT SAYS 0 RECALL. CAN YOU HELP TO SEE IF THIS CAN BE FIXED. IT IS A DRIVING SAFETY ISSUE.
I HAVE CONTACTED THE DOUGLAS CHRYSLER DEALER IN VENICE FL TO SCHEDULE REPAIR OF THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER - SAFETY RECALL S61/NHTSA 16V-668. I WAS INFORMED THAT CHRYSLER RELEASES ABOUT 1 PART A WEEK TO THIS DEALER, THAT THERE ARE ABOUT 20 TO 30 PEOPLE ON A WAITING LIST WAITING FOR PARTS AND THAT IT WILL TAKE A WHILE BEFORE THE VEHICLE IS REPAIRED. I AM ASKING FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE IN SECURING REPLACEMENT PARTS FASTER FROM CHRYSLER. THANK YOU
VISIBILITY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF WINDSHIELD IS IMPAIRED (NON EXISTENT) THE DEFROSTER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR NO LONGER BLOWS WARM AIR INSTEAD COLD AIR IS BEING PRODUCED FROM THE WINDSHIELD VENT AND ALSO HEAT FROM MIDDLE AND SIDE REGISTERS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. DANGEROUS FOR WINTERS IN NY. RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF COMPLAINTS REGISTERED REGARDING THIS PROBLEM AND MANY COSTLY SOLUTIONS NOT RESOLVING THE ISSUE. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL FROM CHRYSLER.
CAR HAS 70K MILES AND HEAT DOESN'T WORK ON PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR, WINDSHIELD DEFROST DOES NOT WORK, DRIVERS SIDE HEAT WORKS SPARINGLY. DEALERSHIP CALLS FOR REPLACING RADIATOR, HEATER CORE AND OIL COOLER DUE TO SLUDGE BUILD-UP/CLOGGING IN COOLANT/HEATING SYSTEM. THIS APPEARS TO BE DUE TO AN INCOMPATIBILITY BETWEEN THE COOLANT USED BY CHRYSLER AND THE CHEMICALS/OILS USED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF THE ENGINE SYSTEM. THIS IS 100% A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THE DEALER & MANUFACTURER ARE UNWILLING TO REPLACE. DOING SOME RESEARCH I AM SEEING THIS IS A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2012/2013 CHRYSLER 200, REGARDLESS OF ENGINE TYPE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS THE WINDSHIELD CAN BECOME FOGGED VERY QUICKLY WHILE DRIVING UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS (DAMP WEATHER) AND WITHOUT WARNING, POSING A SAFETY HAZARD.
