AS I HAVE OWENED THE CAR FOR OVER A YEAR NOW, HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES BESIDES THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON. THIS HAPPENED TODAY AS MY WIFE WAS TAKING MY SON TO DAYCARE. THIS IS AN ISSUE I HAVE SEEN AMONG THEESE CARS AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. I HAVE A 1 YEAR OLD AND I WOULD BE SUEING IF HE WERE TO GET INJURED BY THE SYSTEM CAUSED FROM POOR MANUFACTURING. PLEASE HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED.
STOP AND GO TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT 20 MINS, ONCE I ENTERED THE INTERSECTION THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY STOPPED WITHOUT WARNING. I COULD NOT LOCATE THE EMERGENCY RELEASE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL. CAR SAT IN THE INTERSECTION GOT 1.5 HOURS.
THE TOP REAR TIP OF BOTH FRONT DOORS CATCHES ON THE TOP FRONT TIP OF THE REAR DOORS, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO OPEN THE DOORS AT TIMES. IT HAPPENS SO OFTEN THAT THE PAINT IS RUBBED OFF BOTH PIECES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CAR.
A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, I WAS AT STOP LIGHT MY CAR STALLED, I PUT IN PARK IT RESTARTED. I COULDN'T PUT ON MY HAZARDS OR ANYTHING TO WARN THE CAR BEHIND . IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON THIS SATURDAY ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE FAST LANE THE DASHBOARD WAS BLANK, THE RADIO STOPPED PLAYING, SO MERGED IN THE SLOW LANE WITHOUT USING THE BRAKE THEN EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON THE SPEED GAUGE WAS TRYING TO GET MY CURRENT SPEED. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT IT'S SCARY FEELING BECAUSE EVERYTHING ON DASHBOARD IS COMPUTERIZED.
MY 2016 CHRYSLER 200 STALLS RANDOMLY IN TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM OCEAN CITY, MD WHEN I HIT TRAFFIC AT THE BAY BRIDGE. I WAS TRYING TO SWITCH LANES WHEN I NOTICED MY POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING FOLLOWED BY A MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN STATING TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTART THE ENGINE. VEHICLE RESTARTED BUT WAS NOT SHIFTING CORRECTLY. HAPPENED A SECOND TIME IN A SIMILAR SITUATION. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN LOOKING FOR THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT INDICATING WHAT IS HAPPENING.
STARTING IN OCTOBER 2018 THIS CAR HAS CUT OFF ON ME FOR NO REASON AT ANY GIVEN TIME. I WILL BE DRIVING AND IT WILL CUT OFF AND TELL ME TO SHIFT INTO PARK. SOMETIMES IT CRANKS BACK UP OTHER TIMES IT DOESN'T. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO LANDMARK CHRYSLER FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES. EACH TIME I AM TOLD THAT IT'S A DIFFERENT PROBLEM. AND EACH TIME THE CAR DOES THE EXACT SAME THING AGAIN. THIS HAS ENDANGERED MY LIFE AND THE LIFE OF MY TWO YEAR OLD SON. AFTER COMPLETING TWO DIFFERENT OIL CONSUMPTION TEST LANDMARK(MORROW,GA) STILL HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM SO THE WARRANTY COMPANY WON'T FIX THE CAR. THEY KNOW THAT IT'S USING TOO MUCH OIL BUT THEY CLAIM THEY DON'T KNOW WHY. THIS CAR IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT. THEY JUST TRY TO GET YOU TO TRADE IT IN FOR ANOTHER CAR WITH A HIGHER PAYMENT. THIS PROBLEM REALLY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED BEFORE IT CAUSES SOMEONE THEIR LIFE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS WHEN THIS CAR HAS CUT OFF WITH NO WARNING AND NARROWLY MISSED BEING HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHRYSLER CORPORATE BUT THAT HAS GOTTEN ME NO WHERE BECAUSE THE PERSON I SPEAK WITH (WILL IN CUSTOMER CARE) DOES NOTHING AND CLAIMS THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE A SUPERVISOR THAT I CAN CONTACT.
THE TRANSMISSION WILL CHANGE GEAR UNEXPECTEDLY. CAUSE MY CAR TO JERK SHAKE AND UNUSUAL LONG DELAY TO ACCELERATE AT TIMES EVEN REV HIGH WHILE PROLONGED DELAY BEFORE ACCELERATING. THIS HAS CAUSED MULTIPLE SITUATIONS THAT MADE THE SAFETY OF DRIVING THIS VEHICLE UNPREDICTABLE AND A HAZARD FOR ME AND OTHER MOTORIST.
TAKATA RECALL, MY VEHICAL WAS COMPLETELY STILL, OUTSIDE OF MY FAMILY HOME GETTING INTO THE CAR WITH MY 1YO. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY KEY FOB BEFORE SO I DIDNT THINK ANYTHING OF IT. TRIED TO GO AND START MY CAR AND MY SPEEDOMETER READ 'KEY FOB NOT DETECTED' BUT MY CAR CRANK ANY WAY AND LET ME DRIVE 20 MINUTES OUT TO VISIT A FAMILY MEMBER. ONCE WE GOT BACK IN THE CAR TO GO HOME, MY CAR WOULD NOT CRANK, DUE TO A COMPUTER FAILURE TO READY MY KEY FOB, HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I FOUND THIS OUT AND IS COSTING ME AROUND $500 TO PAY FOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE BATTERY INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAITED APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, A CHIME SOUNDED AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED DAILY FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BURNS MOTORS (1300 US-83 BUS, MCALLEN, TX 78501) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
CAR HAD BEEN PARKED FOR ABOUT 5 HOURS. WHEN I WENT TO RESTART CAR MADE A NOISE LIKE IT WAS STRUGGLING TO START. TURNED CAR OFF AND CHECK OIL APPEARS TO BE FULL. WENT TO RESTART CAR AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART. MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO START CAR AND WHILE ALL LIGHTS AND BEEPING CAME ON CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN OVER A 15 MIN PERIOD. CAN NOT PUSH BREAK DOWN AND WHEN PUSH THE START BUTTON NOTHING HAPPENS. CAR HAS ALSO STALLED OUT MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING IN THE LAST YEAR. CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP STATES ITS DUE TO OIL AND IT APPEARS CAR IS BURNING OIL VERY FAST. CHRYSLER STATES THAT THE CAR WILL NOT START DUE TO A SAFETY MECHANISM TO NOT ALLOW THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT DUE TO LOW OIL. AS OIL HAS APPEARED FULL AND CHECKED MULTIPLE TIME UNSURE AS TO WHY THE CAR WOULD DO THIS.
I'VE BEEN INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OVER 6 TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUES. THIS CAR IS SO UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A TRANSMISSION ISSUE. MY CAR CREATES A VERY HARD JERKING WHEN SWITCHING GEARS OR SPEEDING UP. IT ALSO SHAKES WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONING IS ON AND I AM ONLY GETTING ABOUT 15 MI TO THE GALLON WHEN IT SHOULD BE 27. I'VE LEFT MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS SINCE I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE, WORKED WITH THE DEVICE DEPARTMENT, WORKED WITH CHRYSLER AND THE SITUATION AND SAFETY CONCERN IS STILL NOT RECTIFIED. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. IT'S MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION AND I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP MYSELF, MY 3 BABIES, AND OTHER DRIVERS SAFE. THANK YOU!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO WEST COVINA CHRYSLER (298 N AZUSA AVE, WEST COVINA, CA 91791) FOR AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST BECAUSE IT WAS USING EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF OIL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN THAT INDICATED THE VEHICLE SHOULD CONSUME A LOT OF OIL, ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER STANDARDS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,086. *TR CONSUMER STATED OUR VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. OIL LEAK WAS FOUND AND THE OIL WAS 1 QUART LOW. THERE WERE ALSO SOME ENGINE ISSUES AS SHOWN ON (INVOICE 150760). ON DEC 11, 2018, I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE WHICH HAD 15855 MILES, AND I RETURNED SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING 4 MILES DUE TO THE ENGINE IDLED ROUGH AND STALLED. THIS IS THE 2"D ISSUE. OIL LEAK FOUND, WAS 1 QUART LOW AS WELL AS MORE ENGINE ISSUES AS SHOWN ON ( INVOICE 151016 ). ON MAY 31, 2019 AT 21086 MILES, 1 QUART LOW BELOW THE SAFE MARKER ON DIPSTICK. CAR WILL NOT START, PUT FOOT DOWN ON BREAK AND PRESS THE IGNITION AND NOTHING HAPPENS WITH THE ENGINE. ALL LIGHTS, RADIO, SCREENS TURN ON BUT NOT THE ENGINE.I HAVE TESTED THE BATTER, ALTERNATOR, AND STARTER AND ALL ARE GOOD.IF I WAIT THE CAR WILL START AGAIN JUST FINE LATER. CAN WAS PARKED AFTER DRIVING TO WORK IN THE MORNING THIS HAPPENS IN THE AFTERNOON.
THIS EVENING WHEN DRIVING MY CAR THE VEHICLE STALLED OUT AND CUT OFF A NUMBER OF THREE TIMES WITHIN A 10 MINUTE SPAN. ONCE WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN OUT OF THE PARKING LOT OF MY JOB, SECOND WHEN COMING TO A FULL STOP AT THE PARKING LOT ENTRANCE AND LAST AS I WAS BEGINING THE MERGE ONTO THE HIGHWAY FROM AN ON RAMP. THE DAY PRIOR THE CAR SHUT OFF COMPLETELY A TOTAL OF 5 TIMES AT VARIOUS POINTS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. MY VEHICLE IS REGULARLY MAINTAINED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHERE I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE BRAND NEW. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHT OR INDICATORS THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE. THE ONLY NOTIFICATION WAS TO "SHIFT CAR TO PARK TO START ENGINE". THIS ISSUE NEARLY CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO MERGE ONTO THE HIGHWAY THIS EVENING. THIS IS HIGHLY CONCERNING AS THIS ISSUE COULD POTENTIALLY COST MY FAMILY OR MYSELF OUR LIVES SHOULD THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AT THE WRONG MOMENT. I'VE SEARCHED NUMEROUS SITES ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND IT APPEARS THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE WITH THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL AS WELL AS ONES PRODUCED PRIOR TO 2016. THIS CONCERN IS LIFE THREATENING AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH WITH SOME FORM OF REMEDY FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
TAKATA RECALL FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW MY "SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM" LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON AND OFF INCONSISTENTLY. IT FIRST CAME ON ON 5/15/2019. THIS WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH. AFTER I TURNED MY VEHICLE OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON THE LIGHT DID NOT RETURN. NOW THE LIGHT HAS BEEN POPPING UP EVERY NOW AND THEN, USUALLY WHEN I SLOW DOWN OR STOP MY CAR COMPLETELY. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PASSENGERS THAT DRIVE IN MY VEHICLE, ONLY LITTLE ONES THAT RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT. I DO NOT HAVE ITEMS THAT SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT EITHER. AFTER RESEARCHING THERE WAS A AIRBAG RECALL ON PRIOR MODELS NOT SURE IF THIS COULD BE RELATED. SINCE THE FIRST INCIDENT NOW EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR (WHICH HAS BEEN ALMOST EVERY DAY SINCE) THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON. PLEASE ADVISE
WHEN I'M DRIVING THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND ALSO WHEN I TURN THE CORNER OR HIT A BUMP THE BUZZER GOES OFF AND THEN IT SHUTS DOWN ALSO IT HAS A VERY POOR GAS MILEAGE AND I GET A TOURNAMENT THE SHOCK FROM THE CAR WHILE I TOUCH IT . WHEN I AM DRIVING AT A NORMAL RATE OF SPEED OR IF I GO TO TAKE OFF IT WILL SHUT OFF IF I'M IN THE PASSING LANE FOR UNKNOWN REASONS IT SHUTS OFF WHEN I TOUCH THE BRAKES OR IF I'M SITTING WAITING FOR LIGHT IT MAKES A HUMMING NOISE . ALL OF THIS HAPPENS ONLY WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION THIS STARTED BACK IN FEBRUARY 2018 AND STILL CONTINUES TO THIS DATE TODAY'S DATE IS MAY 13, 2019
POOR CONNECTION AT HARNESS UNDER PASSENGER SEAT, SERVICE AIR BAG SYSTEM WARNING COMES ON AND TO FIX ISSUE I MUST DISCONNECT THE AIRBAG WIRING HARNESS UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT, ADD SOME DIELECTRIC GREASE AND RECONNECT. THIS MUST BE DONE EVERY 3 MONTHS.
OIL CONSUMPTION AND ELECTRIC WIRING PROBLEMS CAUSING THE AIR CONDITIONER TO GO OUT AND BLOW HOT AIR. THE OIL CONSUMPTION WILL NEED ENTIRE ENGINE REPLACED. OIL CONSUMPTION ALMOST CAUSED WRECK BECAUSE CAR WILL THROW CAR IN PARK AT UNEXPLAINED TIMES BECAUSE OIL IS LOW EVEN WHEN OIL WAS CHANGED. VERY VERY DANGEROUS. OIL LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON EITHER EVEN OIL IS DANGEROUSLY LOW. DRIVER IS UNAWARE.
MY CHRYSLER 200 STARTED SHIFTING REALLY HARD AND AS YOU'RE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD YOU CAN FEEL IT JERKING. I CALLED THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP THAT IS LOCAL TO ME TOOK IT IN THEY ONLY DROVE AT 3 MILES AND DECIDED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT EXCEPT FOR A SOFTWARE UPDATE. I PAID $132 FOR A LABOR CHARGE FOR A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT NEVER FIX THE PROBLEM. TOOK IT BACK 2 DAYS LATER THEY CAN'T DIAGNOSE IT WITH SPARK PLUG ISSUES. PAID $160 FOR SPARK PLUGS AND LABOR JUST TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY STILL AFTER A WEEK LATER HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR. JUST WONDERING WHAT KIND OF TECHNICIANS ACTUALLY WORK FOR CHRYSLER.

I'VE BEEN ABLE TO RESEARCH HUNDREDS OF OTHER EXAMPLES OF THIS VERY IDENTICAL VEHICLE DISPLAY THE EXACT SAME ISSUES MY CAR EXEMPLIFIES. ARE YOU GUYS JUST WAITING FOR A TRAGIC DEATH TO OCCUR? TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM ACTIVATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO JOEY ACCARDI CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (LOCATED AT 909 S FEDERAL HWY, POMPANO BEACH, FL 33062, PHONE NUMBER: 888-498-6232), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED OR DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
I START DRIVING AND IT TURNS OFF THE WHOLE ENGINE WITHOUT A WARNING. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS IN MANY INSTANCES I WAS DRIVING AND MAKING TURNS IN MID TRAFFIC THE CAR SHUTS OFF NO WARNING AT ALL. THEN I HAVE TO PUT IT INTO PARK AND IT TAKES A COUPLE OF PUSH STARTS TO START UP. I READ A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AND CHRYSLER ISN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. I MAINTAINED THE CAR WELL SINCE I BOUGHT IT LAST YEAR IN 2018. A CHRYSLER 200 2016 CAR.
THE CAR WAS IN A COLLISION AND CAUGHT FIRE ON IMPACT COMPLETELY DESTROYING THE ENTIRE CAR.
TAMARA RECALL I WAS HIT IN THE FRONT AND SIDE DRIVERS AND NOT ONE OF MY AIR BAGS WENT OFF FROM THE IMPACT. I WAS FORCED BY THE OTHER CAR INTO A CURB. LIGHTS WOULD FLICKER CONSTANTLY EVEN AFTER BATTERY WAS CHANGED TWICE. FROM THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT I HAVE HAD MAJOR INJURIES SUSTAINED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO RICHARDSON CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (1321 N CENTRAL EXPY, RICHARDSON, TX 75080, (214) 329-0862) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL POPPING NOISE AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,550.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND WHILE ACCELERATING , MY CAR SUDDENLY JERKS REALLY HARD FORWARD . MY ENGINE STARTS KNOCKING REALLY LOUDLY & I STARTED TO SMELL BURNING OIL . THE CAR WAS SMOKING & COULD HAVE LEAD TO A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT . NOW AS THE RESULT OF CHRYSLER 200 BEING SUCH A FAILED MODEL , I WAS UNABLE TO CONTINUE MAKING PAYMENTS AND FIX THE VEHICLE , NOW I'M $22,000 IN DEBT .
2016 CHRYSLER 200S WITH JUST OVER 27,000 MILES STARTED ON FIRE DUE TO AS OF YET UNDETERMINED CAUSE, 1000 MILES AFTER BEING INSPECTED BY 2 DEALERSHIPS, AND ABOUT 2000 MILES AFTER OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION BY A THIRD DEALERSHIP. THE CAR WAS DECLARED TOTAL LOSS BY STATE FARM INSURANCE. ([XXX], MIKE O'BRIEN) THE CAR WAS LISTED IN WELL MAINTAINED CONDITION AT THE TIME OF LOSS. PERSONNEL AT DEALERSHIP WERE RUDE, AND TOLD HER HER CAR'S STATE OF CLEANLINESS WAS CAUSING THE SMELL. -MY WIFE NEEDED TO DRIVE HOME IN A COUPLE OF DAYS AND WAS STILL CONCERNED. ONE THING THAT I HAD HER CHECK WAS COOLANT WHICH WAS LOW AND HAD NOT BEEN NOTICED BY SUNSET. SHE THEN TOOK THE CAR TO A SECOND DEALERSHIP (DOUGLAS JEEP CHRYSLER DODGE RAM, FL ([XXX]) FOR INSPECTION. DOUGLAS, WHILE MORE POLITE, CONDUCTED COOLANT SYSTEM AND OTHER CHECKS, BUT DETERMINED THERE WAS NO ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT GUARANTEED MY WIFE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE BACK TO MICHIGAN AND EVEN WENT ON TO SAY THAT THEY WOULD NOT LET AN UNSAFE VEHICLE LEAVE THE SHOP. -THAT SAME NIGHT I CONTACTED CHRYSLER WHO INITIATED THEIR OWN INVESTIGATION. MY CAR SUDDENLY TURNED OFF AS I WAS MAKING A TURN. I HAVE FIXED THE CAR 2 TIMES FROM THE SAME THING AND THIS WILL BE THE 3RD. I WANT TO SEE IF THERE'S SOMETHING ASSOCIATED WITH A RECALL ABOUT THE COMPUTER MODULE. IT STALLS TO TURN ON, AND WHEN IT DOES IT WON'T GO AS FAR AS A MILE
WHILE DRIVING THE HOLE SYSTEM WILL SHUT DOWN AT RANDOM TIMES. ALL THE SCREENS ALL THINGS THAT LIGHT UP. NOT EVERY TIME, BUT SOMETIMES. THEN WHEN YOU GO TO SWITCH GEARS TO BACK UP THE BACK UP CAMERA DOESN'T ALWAYS SWITCH TO BACK UP. IT WILL STAY ON THE SAME SCREEN OR GO BLACK. THIS PART ACTUALLY HAPPENS A FEW TIMES A WEEK.
ENGINE WAS REBUILT/PARTS REPLACED WITHIN 6 WEEKS OF OWING THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS RETURNED AGAIN FOR SUDDEN SHOCK WHEN EXCEEDING 45 MPH WHILE DRIVING. TODAY 3/20/19 WAS INFORMED AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE BUT NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. VEHICLE IS SKIPPING AGAIN AT 45+ MPH
AS I AM DRIVING CAR WILL CUT OFF AND TELL YOU TO SHIFT THE CAR TO PARK. IT THEN WILL STALL WHEN YOU TRY TO START IT BACK UP. THIS HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE STREET WHILE IN MOTION.
SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT ON. APPARENTLY A COMMON ISSUE PER SEARCH ON INTERNET. SINCE AIRBAGS ARE A SAFETY ISSUE, IS THERE A REASON THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED? POORLY DESIGNED HARNESS UNDER SEATS ALLOWS FOR WIRES TO BE EASILY DAMAGED OR BECOME LOOSE FROM MOVING SEAT OR BEING BUMPED BY BACKSEAT PASSENGERS. RECEIVED ESTIMATE TO REPAIR IN EXCESS OF $2800.00.
ON CITY STREETS WHEN 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FROM 4TH GEAR TO 5TH GEAR THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT JERKS THE CAR IN A VIOLENT MANNER. THIS DID NOT OCCUR WHEN VEHICLE WAS NEW.
MY CAR STALLS WHEN I START TO DRIVE. IF I DON'T LET IT IDLE IN PARK FOR A GOOD 15 MINUTES IT WILL STALL AND TELLS ME TO PUT IT IN PARK. ONCE IT STALLS IT IS DIFFICULT TO RESTART. ALSO THE AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. IF I HIT THE SMALLEST POTHOLE THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND IT GIVES ME A MESSAGE STATING SERVICE AIRBAGS. ALSO THE DRIVERSIDE SEAT CAME UNTRACKED AND CANNOT MOVE IT FORWARD OR BACKWARDS WITHOUT IT MAKING A WEIRD NOISE.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND HEARD (AND FELT) A LARGE BOOM! THEN THE SOUND OF WIND. MY SUNROOF SHATTERED, LEAVING A HUGE HOLE IN THE CENTER OF THE GLASS.
MY CAR HAVE BEEN GIVEN ME PROBLEMS FOR ABOUT 6MONTHS. ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. CAR KEEP CUTTING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, I KNOW SIX TIMES BEFORE MY FACTORY WARRANTY RAN OUT, AND THEY COULD NEVER FIX IT. AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON THE DIAGNOSTIC CAME BACK AS IN OPEN CIRCUIT IN THE PASSENGER SQUIB DEALERSHIP SAYS HAVE TO REPLACE BOTH SEAT HARNESSES.THE DEALER SAYS IT'S NOT A SAFETY ISSUE
A CODE CAME UP FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT SQUIB. SHOP FOUND A RELATED TSB BUT WILL REQUIRE DIAGNOSTIC AND POSSIBLY DISASSEMBLING THE FRONT SEATS. ALSO NOTED THERE ARE MULTIPLE MODULES THAT NEED UPDATES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STARTER FAILED TWICE AND THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE STARTED. ON A DIFFERENT OCCASION, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BOB MOORE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF TULSA (4627 S MEMORIAL DR, TULSA, OK 74145, (918) 663-6343). THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.
THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE IN MOTION, IT HAS STALLED 5 TIMES WITHIN 10 MINUTES AND I NO LONGER CAN SAFELY DRIVE IT. ALL OCCASIONS WERE ON A CITY STREET WHILE BRAKING. THE CAR SHOWS ON THE DASHBOARD THAT IT IS SHIFTING GEARS EVEN WHILE REMAINING AT ONE SPEED AND THEN THE SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN. IT OCCASIONALLY SHIFTS HARD AND/OR MAKES AN ODD NOISE IN THE ENGINE.
SINCE ABOUT 20,000 MILES MY CAR HAS SMELLED OF ANTI-FREEZE. THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT IN, GENE'S CHRYSLER SAID MY CABIN AIR FILTER WAS FLOODED WITH COOLANT AND THAT MY RADIATOR WAS LEAKING AT THE SEAMS. THIS WAS CHANGED AT 36,000 (MARCH 2018) MILES. AFTER THEY REPLACED THE RADIATOR, I STILL SMELLED IT AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS "SPRAY" THAT WAS LEFT OVER FROM WHEN IT WAS ORIGINALLY BROKEN. AT 57,000 MILES (JAN 2019) I STILL SMELL IT. I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR BACK TO GENE'S FOR AN AMBIENT TEMP SENSOR AND THEY NOTICED MY RADIATOR IS LEAKING, AGAIN, AND REPLACED IT. NOW, KEEP IN MIND, I AM NOT LEAVING COOLANT PUDDLES ANYWHERE NOR IS MY TEMP SENSOR FOR THE COOLANT REPORTING ANYTHING THAN WHAT IS NORMAL. I AM AGAIN SMELLING ANTI-FREEZE.GENE'S AGAIN TELLS ME THAT IT'S JUST FROM THE SPRAY.
THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE IN MOTION. ON THREE OCCASIONS, IT HAS STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN UPHILL RIGHT TURN ONTO A CITY STREET. ON AN ADDITIONAL THREE OCCASIONS IT HAS STALLED WHILE ON A FLAT ROAD, IN MOTION.
DTC B002813 CIRCUIT OPEN HAD TO REMOVE PASSENGER SEAT, DISASSEMBLE, INSTALL UPDATED WIRING HARNESS, ETC. COST $1,800 TO REPAIR. COMPLAINT - THIS EXTENSIVE REPAIR SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN NEEDED FOR THE AGE AND MILEAGE OF THE CAR. WE FEEL THAT A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM. WHY IS THIS CAR DESIGNED IN A WAY THAT THE REPAIR FOR THIS PROBLEM MUST BE THIS EXTENSIVE. VERY DISPLEASED WITH CHRYSLER DESIGN.
VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE. *DT*JB
MY CAR WAS DRIVING JUST FINE UNTIL I WENT TO REVERSE OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT I WAS PARKED IN. I PUSHED THE BRAKE DOWN TO RELEASE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY BRAKE GOT HARDER TO PUSH DOWN. IT DISPLAYS ON MY SCREEN THE 'BRAKE' IS ON BUT IT'S NOT. IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE MY BRAKES WENT OUT BUT IT'S SO HARD TO PUSH THEM DOWN. LUCKILY IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS IN A PARKING LOT RATHER THEN ON A MAIN ROAD OR EVEN THE HIGHWAY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS MY BRAKE BOOSTER. IT'S NO WAY AFTER TWO YEARS OF HAVING THIS CAR THAT ANYTHING THIS SERIOUS WITH MY BRAKES SHOULD'VE HAPPENED AT ALL.
TAKATA RECALL, AIR BAG ICON STAYS ON. GAS CAP ICON STAYS ON. UPON CRUSE CONTROL, TO CONTINUE AT THE PREVIOUS SPEED ON INCLINE , THE BRAKES AND DASH LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLASH. PULLED OVER TURNED CAR OFF AND STARTED BACK UP AS K WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000.

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT AROUND 30 MPH THE SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM AND SERVICE PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM NOTIFICATIONS CAME ON ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL DISABLING. AS THAT HAPPENED MY TOUCHSCREEN IN THE VEHICLE WENT IN AND OUT AND THE CAR BECAME HESITANT TO ACCELERATE. I PULLED OVER AND TRIED TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE AND THEN RELEASE IT AFTERWARDS THE CAR REALLY BECAME HARD TO MOVE. TRANSMISSION JUST REVED AND THE CAR EVENTUALLY STARTED ACCELERATING.
