AFTER REFUELING, ENGINE STOPS RUNNING AT LOW SPEED OR IDLE. ENGINE RESTARTS IMMEDIATELY. AFTER SEVERAL MILES AND 4 OR 5 RESTARTS ENGINE RUNS SMOOTHLY. DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF LOSS OF ACCELERATION, STEERING AND BRAKING. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V770000 (AIR BAGS) AND 14V817000 (AIR BAGS) WERE RECEIVED IN JANUARY OF 2015. AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE PROVIDED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I STARTING DRIVING FROM THE INTERSECTION THE LIGHT HAD JUST TURNED GREEN. AFTER GETTING OUT OF THE INTERSECTION THE CAR MADE A LOUD NOISE FROM THE REAR AND STOPPED AND WOULD NOT MOVE. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED. MY WORK ASSOCIATE WHO WAS IN THE WITH ME SAID THE CAR SOUNDED LIKE I HAD JUST LOSS MY REAR-END. WHEN I GOT THE CAR TO MY PRIVATE MECHANIC HE SAID THE REAR-END WAS BAD AND NEEDED REPLACING. *TR

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND THE CAR DEALER HAS NOT RECEIVED THE PARTS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 5 MONTHS. NOTIFICATION CODE-P40
GEARSHIFT LOCKS IN PARK. UNABLE TO SHIFT FROM PARK. THIS CAR HAS LESS THAN 65,000 MILES. FIRST HAPPENED ABOUT 30 MONTHS AGO AND HAS BECOME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. HAPPENS IN STATIONARY POSITION.
GEAR SHIFT STUCK IN PARK
FILLED UP TANK AT GAS STATION AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER LEAVING GAS STATION THE CAR STALLED, RESTARTED RIGHT AWAY BUT FELT SLUGGISH. STARTED A RIGHT TURN AND ENGINE SHUT OFF AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TURN! THIS REALLY SCARRED ME AS IT WAS A BUSY INTERSECTION AND COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT! I RESTARTED AND STALLED A BLOCK LATER. I TOOK CAR TO A MECHANIC TO TEST GAS AND HE FOUND NO PROBLEM WITH THE GAS. THE CAR RAN FINE THE NEXT DAY. ON 1-17-2015 I STOPPED AT COSTCO TO FILL UP, CAR STALLED IMMEDIATELY AS I STARTED TO PULL AWAY THE GAS STATION. CAR DIED ABOUT 5 OTHER TIMES WITHIN THE PARKING LOT OF COSTCO. THE CAR WOULD RESTART IMMEDIATELY. I DROVE ABOUT 3 MILES TO THE EXPRESS WAY AND DROVE 35 MILES HOME WITH NO PROBLEMS. THE UNEXPECTED STALLING OF THE ENGINE CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT, IN MY CASE, THIS SECOND TIME I WAS ON A BUSY PARKING LOT ON A SATURDAY WITH CARS TURNING AND CERTAINLY NO ONE EXPECTS A CAR TO STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN. BEFORE THIS HAPPENED, OVER THE YEARS I HAD EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH FILLING UP THE GAS TANK WHERE THE STATION GAS PUMP WOULD STOP EVEN AFTER PUMPING LESS THAN HALF A GALLON. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS THE PUMP AT THE STATION AND I WOULD GO TO ANOTHER PUMP OR ANOTHER STATION AND IT WOULD FILL UP OK. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT AN UNKNOWN SENSOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000. FOR LAST YEAR IF WE FILL THE GAS TANK TO FULL THE CAR STALLS IN TRAFFIC SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING THE FUEL STATION. HIGHLY DANGEROUS. MY WIFE DOESN'T FILL THE TANK ANYMORE AFTER THREE INCIDENTS WHERE SHE WAS ALMOST HIT DID NOT HAPPEN UNTIL WE MOVED CAR TO FLORIDA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V817000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 83,000.
NO "ACCIDENT" HAS HAPPENED AS YET. THE AIR BAGS OUTFITTED IN THIS CAR ARE MANUFACTURED BY TANAKA AND THEY ARE DEFECTIVE. IN ALL CLIMATES, THE BAGS HAVE EXPLODED ARE INJURED OR KILLED A PERSON IN THE CAR. CHRYSLER IS ONLY DEALING WITH SELECT CLIMATES FOR AN ACTION THEY ARE TAKING. I HAVE REPORTED IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY WILL TAKE NO ACTION AT THIS TIME. HOPEFULLY, THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE ACTION AND I WILL BE WILLING TO JOIN CLASS ACTION LAW SUITS. AT PRESENT, IF I AM TO DRIVE THIS CAR, I WOULD BE ENDANGERING MYSELF AND/OR OTHERS. *TR

IN ADDITION, THE ABS AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PCM AND THE WIN MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 22,000.

MY CAR AS CONTINUALLY GIVEN ME PROBLEMS WITH FLICKERING HEADLIGHTS. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER AND HAD THEM TO CHECK IT OUT AND FOUND NOTHING, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. NO MECHANIC CAN FIND THE PROBLEM, BUT IT STILL EXIST. I HAVE BEEN TO A FEW CHRYSLER FORUMS AND SEE OTHER OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS HAS BEEN A REAL FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE ME AND MY FAMILY. *TR
OTHER VEHICLE CROSSED OVER YELLOW LINE AND HIT OUR CAR FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE VEHICLE ON DRIVERS SIDE ALL THE WAY TO BACK AND KNOCKED OFF THE BACK DRIVERS WHEEL AND SENT US SPINNING AROUND INTO AND WRAPPED AROUND TELEPHONE POLE. MY LEGS WERE PINNED UNDER DASH AND COULDN'T MOVE, PASSENGER DOOR HAD BEEN BADLY DAMAGED AND PUSHED IN ABOUT ONE FOOT. HAD TO BE CUT OUT OF THE CAR TO GET ME OUT, TAKEN TO ER. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WHICH I FIND QUITE ODD. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE AND WHO TO CONTACT TO FIND OUT WHY AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. I PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER 300 IN 2012. THE CAR CAME WITH 4 COOPER TIRES, CS4-265R17. IN NOVEMBER OF 2014 I NOTICED A WOBBLE WHEN DRIVING THE CAR. SO I TOOK THE CAR TO BE SERVICED (BALANCE/ROTATION/ALIGNMENT). AFTER ALL THIS WORK THE CAR STILL WOBBLED. SO MECHANIC TOOK OFF EACH TIRE TO INVESTIGATE. WHICH HE CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE BANDS IN THE TIRE HAVE SEPARATED. I PURCHASED A NEW TIRE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO RISK THE SAFETY OF MY CHILD. *TR

SINCE HAVING BEEN NOTIFIED OF A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE CONCERNING THE POSSIBLE DEPLOYMENT OF AIR BAGS THAT COULD POTENTIALLY HARM THE PASSENGERS, I AM STILL AWAITING , NOW FOR OVER A YEAR, FOR THIS PROBLEM TO BE ADDRESSED AND REPAIRED BY THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION. WHILE THE CAR ITSELF HAS PERFORMED VERY WELL, I CAN NOT SAY THE SAME FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF THE NEEDED PARTS TO BE REPLACED. IN FACT THIS AREA HAS BEEN TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
UNABLE TO SHIFT GEAR OUT OF PARKING POSITION. THIS ISSUE WAS FIXED AUGUST 2009 AND IS HAPPENING AGAIN. UNFORTUNATELY, I NEVER KNOW WHEN THE ISSUE WILL SURFACE AND RECENTLY, I WAS IN A NOT SO NICE NEIGHBORHOOD AND FRIGHTENED TO DEATH BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT FROM PARK TO REVERSE. AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS OF CUTTING MY CAR OFF AND ON AND EXECUTING THE BRAKES, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR GOING AGAIN. SO OVER THIS ISSUE RIGHT NOW. *TR
IT BEGAN WHEN I STARTED PUMPING GAS AFTER IT REACH LIKE 10 GALLONS OF FUEL THE CLICKER WILL STOP AS IF IT WAS FULL TANK ALREADY BUT STILL NEEDED A LONG WAY TO FILL UP SO I AUTOMATICALLY BEGAN TO PUMP GAS AND IT KEPT CLICKING AND CLICKING IT DIDN'T WANT TO KEEP PUMPING SO I STOP AS I BEGAN DRIVING THE CAR BEGAN TO PULLED IT SELF HARD LIKE IF IT WAS RUNNING OUT OF GAS CHECK ENGINE AND THE ESP BAS LIGHT WHEN ON STARTED TO SMELL LIKE GAS GOT ME WORRIED WHEN ON IT KEPT DOING IT SO I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE EGR VALVE ,THERMOSTAT AND SPARK PLUGS NEEDED TO BE REPAIR I ASKED IF THEIR WAS A RECALL BECAUSE I HAVE RECEIVED A LATER STATING THAT SOMETHING THAT'S HAS TO DO WITH THE GAS TANK,HE LOOKED IT UP AND HE SAID NO. I DID THE LABOR THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE TO CAR IT WAS OK FOR COUPLE HRS THEN IT BEGAN TO DO THE SAME THING LUNGING THEN CAR STALLED TRY TO RESTARTED IT WOULDN'T GO ON WAITED COUPLE MINS TRIED AGAIN AND IT WOULDN'T START GAVE IT A LIL LONGER TIME THEN TRY TO TURN IT ON AGAIN AND IT FINALLY STARTED AFTER MULTIPLE TIMES I REALLY NEED TO FIX IT I FIND IT DANGEROUS.. *TR
AFTER GETTING FUEL CAME OUT OF GAS STATION TURNED RIGHT ABOUT 100 FEET CAME TO A STOP ENGINE IDLED ROUGH THEN DIED OUT. RE STARTED AND KEPT DYING OUT FOR NEXT 2 TO 3 MILES . CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. HAD IT DIAGNOSED O2 SENSOR WAS REPLACED 3 MILES LATER AND MORE DYING OUT CHECK ENG LIGHT IS ON AGAIN. I AM OUT 300.00 DLS. AND STILL HAVE SAME PROBLEM AND CANNOT PASS EMISSION TEST. AND CANNOT GET MY PLATES . *JS

THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,544.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO FIRST GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR FAILED AND CAUSED ANTIFREEZE TO ENTER THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IS FAULTY. THE HEADLIGHTS BEGIN TO FLASH AND WILL NOT STAY ON. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! *TR
PURCHASED THIS CAR IN 2012 WITH A 3 MONTH WARRANTY. 1 MONTH LATER LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING OCCASIONALLY. THEN WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON LOCAL HIGHWAY LIGHTS WENT OUT TOTALLY. PULLED OFF ROAD AND WAITED UNTIL THEY CAME BACK ON. TOOK BACK TO WHERE I PURCHASED IT, THEY TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER DEALER AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS "REPROGRAMMED". NO PROBLEMS UNTIL LAST NIGHT WHEN LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING AGAIN. JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THEY GO OUT TOTALLY AGAIN AT NIGHT DRIVING DOWN SOME DARK COUNTRY ROAD. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION AND HOPEFULLY NO ONE WILL GET KILLED BEFORE I CAN GET THIS CAR BACK TO A DEALERSHIP, AND THIS TIME I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT MYSELF. APPARENTLY CHRYSLER HAS NO INTEREST IN PROVIDING A PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. *TR

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE JUST SHUTS DOWN CHRYLSER SAID THE PROBLEM WAS THE GAS TANK I HAD TO WAIT ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER WAITING THEY INSTALLED THE GAS TANK AND THE PROBLEM IS ON CHANGED
STOPPED AT STOP SIGN ALL LIGHTS ON INST PANEL CAME ON FOR ABOUT 10 SEC THEN THEY ALL WENT OFF EXCEPT ESP LIGHT. TACHOMETER WENT TO 0 AND AC WENT OFF. 10 SECONDS LATER ALL RECOVERED, BUT SOON ALL BACK TO NORMAL ,THEN EVENTS STARTED AGAIN. KEPT THIS UP FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES UNTIL I REACHED MY DESTINATION AND AFTER TURNING CAR OFF STAYING FOR 1 1/2 HOUR STARTED CAR AND ALL WAS NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES PRIOR AND LOCAL CHRYSLER HAS SAID HARD TO DIAGNOSE AND WOULD BE VERY EXPENSIVE.AS LONG AS IT CLEARS IT SELF KEEP DRIVING IT. MY 2005 CHRYSLER 300C HAS ONLY 44240 MILES N IT AND NOT ABUSED SINCE MY WIFE AND I ARE TOTALLY DISABLED VTRANS WITH SPECIAL "DV" REGISTRATION SO WE CAN BE DRIVEN TO THE VTRANS HOSPITAL FOR MEDICAL SERVICES. ON SAT8/30/14 WHILE IN THE GARAGE AND NOT BEING USED FOR AT LEAST A WEEK, MY CAR'S STICK TRANSMISSION SHIFTER WAS STUCK IN PARK AND WOULD NOT ALLOW THE USE OR MOVEMENT OF THE CAR FROM THE GARAGE. THE USAA TOW TRUCK CARRIER HAD TO DRAG THE REAR END OF THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE ONTO THE FLATBED TRUCK TO TAKE IT TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN WALDORF, MD, WHERE ALL THE WARRANTY WORK HAS BEEN DONE ON THIS CAR FROM "DAY ONE!" I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE 2 CHEAP PLASTIC PINK SWITCHES ON THE STICK MECHANISM THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A CHARGE OF ABOUT $250 TO ME AND THE TOW CHARGE ALSO AND THIS WAS RECURRING COMMON "PROBLEM "WITH THE CAR YEAR AND REPORTED TO CHRYSLER AS A RECALL. I WILL INITIATE A CLASS ACTION SUIT IF NECESSARY UNDER 28 USC IN FEDERAL DISTRICT COURT IN GREENBELT, MD, FOR REDRESS OF ANY COSTS TO ME. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE IN MOTION, THIS GEAR SHIFT COULD NOT RESPOND TO ANY CHANGE IN GEAR IN ANY EMERGENCY AND CAUSE THE DRIVER TO PANIC. *TR
