WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT NIGHT, OUR 09' CHRYSLER 300 COMPLETELY SHUTOFF UNEXPECTEDLY. ENGINE SHUTOFF, LOSS OF POWER STEERING, NO POWER BRAKES...AND WORST OF ALL, ALL LIGHTS SHUTOFF! I DRIFT OFF INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE (LUCKILY MINIMAL TRAFFIC) AND STOP. PUT IN IN PARK AND RESTART THE VEHICLE...NO WARNING LIGHTS, NO ISSUES, AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. CONTINUE ON WITH LIFE... NOW A WHILE LATER, I'M DRIVING AROUND A TIGHT ROUNDABOUT AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED. AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN! LOSS OF POWER STEERING IN A TURN AT LOW SPEED, AND THE WHEEL GETS RIPPED OUT OF MY HAND AS THE CAR DRIVES UP OVER THE CURBS BEFORE I CAN STOP WITH THE NOW NON-POWERED BRAKES ON THE CAR. MINIMAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE BUT ENOUGH TO PISS ME OFF TO KNOW THAT THIS CAN LITERALLY HAPPEN AT ANY TIME... CHANGING BETWEEN HAVING POWER STEERING TO INSTANTLY NONE IS A MAJOR HAZARD IN A TURN. I CAN DEAL WITH AN ENGINE TURNOFF, BUT THIS IS A COMPLETE SHUTDOWN, AS IF THE CAR WAS SHUTOFF NOT RECOGNIZING A THE KEY IS THERE. LIGHTS, RADIO, DASHBOARD, ETC....ALL TURN OFF (I'M GUESSING AIRBAGS TOO?) I HAVE NOW RESEARCHED THIS AND I AM FAR FROM THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE. IT IS PRETTY MUCH NARROWED DOWN TO A DISCONNECT BETWEEN THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE AND THE KEY FOB, AND THE MODULE THINKING THE FOB HAS BEEN TURNED OFF WHEN IT FACT IT HASN'T. CHRYSLER HAS RECALLED THIS PART FOR MODEL YEARS PRIOR, AND AFTER 09', BUT HAVE SEEMED TO SKIP THE 300C FOR 2009. WELL GUESS WHAT, 2009 300C WIN MODULE'S ARE FAULTY ALSO... AND JUST AS DANGEROUS AN ISSUE AS ANY OTHER VEHICLE THAT COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN RANDOMLY. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO AND THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL FOR 2009 CHRYSLER 300'S FOR THE WIN MODULE AND THE KEY FOBS! REGARDS

ON MORNING OF MARCH 13, 2015 CAR STALLED WHILE PULLING INTO HIGHWAY FROM DRIVEWAY. THIS REQUIRED HAVING TO QUICKLY PULL OVER TO RESTART CAR. ON MORNING OF MARCH 14, 2015 THE CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY. MY WIFE HAD TO QUICKLY PULL TO MEDIAN TO RESTART CAR. *TR
I OWN A 2009 CHRYSLER 300C IS EXHIBITING THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES. STALL IS LEADING TO UNNECESSARY ENDANGERMENT OF MY AND OTHER HIGHWAY USERS' SURVIVABILITY. THIS AUTOMATICALLY RAISES THE RISK OF DEATH FOR CONSUMERS UTILIZING THE ROADWAYS BE IT TWO LANE OR MULTI- LANES, CITY OR RURAL ROADS. MY 2009 CHRYSLER 300C IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HIGH PERFORMANCE VEHICLE AND THESE DEFICIENCIES ONLY ADD INSULT TO INJURY. I DO NOT BELIEVE THE EXCUSE OF "WE DON'T KNOW" WILL SATISFY THE FAMILY OF A LOVED ONE LOST IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. I REQUEST A FAIL-SAFE PROTECTION WHEN THE FOLLOWING DEFECTS EXIST, I.E. STALL, SUDDEN SHUTDOWN, LOSS OF POWER, AND IN TRAFFIC APPEARS OUT OF THE ORDINARY. CHRYSLER IS EXPLICABLY COMPOUNDS THIS STALL SAFETY PROBLEM BY NOT PROVIDING THE MOST EFFICIENT MECHANICAL EXPERTISE AVAILABLE AND SWIFTLY CORRECT THIS SAFETY ISSUE AS AN ISSUE TO CONSUMERS FOR SATISFACTORY OF THIS SAFETY HAZARD. I HAVE PERFORMED THE INITIAL RISK ASSESSMENTS AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS THAT MAY ARISE DURING THE EXECUTION OF MECHANICAL MALFUNCTIONS OF MY 2009 CHRYSLER 300C. THE IGNITION IS EITHER LOOSE AND NOT COMMUNICATION WITH THE OTHER COMPONENTS TO PROPERLY OPERATE THE VEHICLES AND CONTINUE TO SHUT OFF, STALL, STOP, ETC. ETC. ETC. THIS EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE POINTS IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF SAFETY AND FURTHER MORE COMPOUND THIS PROBLEM. THERE IS A NEED AND EXPLANATION GIVEN FOR THESE DESTRUCTIVE MECHANICAL MALFUNCTIONS. I OWN A 2009 CHRYSLER 300C, WHICH HAS BEEN HAVING CONSISTENT PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE BUSY HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE IS STALLING, QUITTING, NOT STARTING ON THE FIRST TRY, FAIL TO KEEP RUNNING ONCE STARTED, OR COMPLETELY STOP ON ITS OWN RECOGNIZANCE. I FEEL UNPROTECTED BECAUSE MY VEHICLE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF AND COULD CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY. THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS VEHICLE AND ITS EQUIPMENT IS LEADING ME INTO UNREASONABLE ANXIETY FOR MY SAFETY DUE TO THE SUDDEN STOPPING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, LEADING TO NO STEERING POWER, NO ELECTRIC SIGNALS, AND GRAVE POSSIBILITY OF DEATH. THIS VEHICLE IS ONLY FIVE (5) YEARS OF AGE AND SHOULD NOT BE SHOWING SIGNS OF INEFFICIENCY. *JS
MY CHRYSLER 300 KEEPS LOOSING POWER. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH THE VEHICLE DECIDES TO LOSE ITS ELECTRICAL POWER AND THE ENGINE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. THERE WAS NO BRAKING POWER, THE STEERING HAD NO PLAY BUT I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER OFF TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD IN MEDIUM TRAFFIC. I BELIEVE THE KEYLESS IGNITION SYSTEM HAS A HORRIFIC DEFECT. IT IS LOSING CONTACT. THE DOUBLE SIDED INTEGRATED KEY, I BELIEVE, IS LOSING CONTACT WITH THE INTEGRAL IGNITION SWITCH WHICH ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO INCONSISTENT STARTING PROCEDURE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY MY CHRYSLER 300 DIED WHILE I WAS ACCELERATING INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC GOING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH. THE VEHICLE JUST CUT ITSELF OFF. IT LOST POWER TO THE ENGINE, I LOST MY POWER STEERING, NOR COULD I BRAKE. I WAS CLOSE TO BEING SLAMMED IN THE REAR. I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER IT TO THE EDGE OF THE FREEWAY BECAUSE I WAS LUCKILY IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE. IT TOOK SEVERAL TRIES TO GET THE MOTOR TO RESTART. THIS POWER LOSS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND IS VERY FRIGHTENING. FROM TIME TO TIME I MUST CONTINUE TO TURN THE IGNITION TO THE START POSITION. IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS PLAY WITHIN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND NO CONTACT IS MADE PREVENTING IT TO POWER ON. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHRYSLER 300. UPON PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD A GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN TURNING IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE NOISE WAS NORMAL AND WOULD DISAPPEAR ONCE THE TIRES WERE "BROKEN IN." THE NOISE CONTINUED WELL OVER THREE MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DIFFERENT DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE RACK AND PINION STEERING WAS DEFECTIVE. THEY ALSO STATED THAT THE PART TO REPAIR THE STEERING WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD CALL HIM ONCE THE PART ARRIVED AND WOULD ASSUME LIABILITY. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT HOW THE DEALER ALLOWED HIM TO PURCHASE A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT YET BEEN REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CD PLAYER WOULD NOT PLAY A COMPLETE DISC. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,800.
