I was involved in a hit and run on March 2,2026 and the airbags did not deploy at all. My car was taken to ray lathem dealership when there was a recall pertaining to the airbags back in 2019. I was told everything was corrected. Now fast forward to March 2,2026 no airbags deployed at all from the impact of crash. That was the first thing the police and ambulance asked and saw. Myself and My fiancee both were taken to the hospital.
The contact owned a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, a vehicle abruptly merged in front, causing the contact to T-bone the vehicle. The driver's side air bags did not fully deploy. The front passenger side air bag deployed, but there was no occupant. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was condemned as a total loss. The contact was transported to the local medical center. The contact sustained injuries to the left shoulder and additional bruises. In addition, the contact received a CT scan due to the contact's head hitting the front windshield. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 195,000.
this car was crashed June 10 2023, owner went to hospital and car was towed and took to an auto pound .After 24 hours they told us a private company tolled it or stole it .we reported it stolen and payed a report and that's how I got the info of an independent mechanic trying to fix it. im trying to find my car and the report told me you guys have it.
recall notice for passenger air bag was sent three years ago. Vehicle was brought to dealership and held for a week to replace air bag. Vehicle was returned with air bag NOT replaced. I was told to wait for a call when they receive more air bags and they would schedule for replacement. As of today, three years later, I am being told the air bags are still not available for purchase or replacement under recall.

Airbag light comes back on after recall repair was made in 2019, passenger airbag light illuminates consistent at start of engine.

AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON. ALREADY HAD HARNESSES REPLACED. PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS REPLACED BY RECALL. I WAS TOLD IF THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT, MAKING THIS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE LIGHT IS ON REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR STATIONARY. SOMETIMES THE AIRBAG LIGHT GOES OFF BUT IT ALWAYS COMES BACK ON. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING OFF AND ON FOR THE PAST YEAR OR MORE. I WILL USE TODAY'S DATE AS THE DATE IT OCCURRED SINCE THE LIGHT WAS ON WHEN I DROVE THE VEHICLE THIS MORNING.

JUST BOUGHT A 2012 CHRYSLER 300 BASE MODEL ABOUT ONE MONTH AGO FROM A USED CAR DEALER. IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITANT . IT STAYS ON FOR LESS THAN A MINUTE. ONCE IT STAYED ON FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. IT ALWAYS GOES OUT. CAR RIDES FINE. JUST WONDERING IF THIS IS A FREE FIX AT DEALER. IT WOULD COME ON MORE WHEN DRIVING AND WHEN I STOP THE LIGHT WOULD GO OUT SHORTLY AFTER.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE COLLAPSED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. I TOOK MY CAR IN THE KELLY JEEP IN LYNFIELD MA FOR 4 RECALLS, ONE OF THEM WAS THE N07, WHICH IS RELATED TO AIRBAG AND ANOTHER ONE THAT I CAN NOT REMEMBER THE MOST NUMBER THAT IS RELATED TO VALVES AND EMISSIONS. WHEN I GOT MY CAR 2 DAYS LATER IT TURNED ON THE LIGHT OF THE AIRBAG AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, SINCE I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO GET BACK WITH MY CAR IN THE DEALER, I CALLED TO INFORM THE PROBLEM AND SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE TO SOLVE, SO THEY I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE A RECALL RELATED TO AIRBAGS IN MY CAR AND THAT IF MY CAR HAD ANY OTHER PROBLEMS I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THEM NOW. TAKATA RECALL. I HAD AN AIRBAG INDICATOR THAT CAME ON THE DASH BOARD OF MY VEHICLE AND I RECEIVED A LETTER REGARDING THE RECALL OF MY AIRBAG. I DID TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. AFTER THE AIRBAG RECALL ISSUE WAS REPAIRED I NOTICED THAT THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT WAS STILL ON. I DID GO BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WHY THE INDICATOR LIGHT WAS STILL ON. THE SERVICE REP ADVISED ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT THE INDICATOR. I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND DECIDED TO DO A BIT OF RESEARCH BECAUSE I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE INDICATOR WAS STILL ON. UPON RESEARCHING THE INDICATOR LIGHT, I DID READ THAT IF THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT WAS LIT AND I GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY. I CALLED THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP BACK AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SERVICE MANAGER WHO ADVISED THAT THE LIGHT WAS NOT AN ISSUE THEY COULD RESOLVE UNLESS I PAID A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF $120 AND THEY WOULD LET ME KNOW AT THAT POINT WHY IT WAS ON. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND IF THE VEHICLE HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG AND THERE IS A RECALL WHY I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. I FEEL THAT IF THE VEHICLE HAS AN AIRBAG RECALL THAT I SHOULD HAVE LEFT THAT DEALERSHIP WITH ALL THE CONFIDENCE IN THE WORLD THAT THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED. YET I NOW MUST EITHER PAY OR HOPE THAT I DO NOT HAVE A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT AND HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THAT IT SHOULD BE COVERED ESPECIALLY SINCE THE AIRBAG HAS A RECALL. I CAN UNDERSTAND IF IT'S A MAINTENANCE INDICATOR BUT IT'S AN AIRBAG ISSUE THAT PUTS THE PASSENGERS IN MY VEHICLE IN DANGER. I NEED TO GET SOME ASSISTANCE WITH THIS MATTER. I FEEL THAT I SHOULD NOT BE PUT IN JEOPARDY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PART WAS TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, ATTEMPTED TO BUCKLE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT, BUT THE SEAT BELT WOULD NOT CONNECT - THE MECHANISM INSIDE OF THE RECEIVER WOULD NOT LOCK THE SEAT BELT INTO PLACE - THEREFORE THE "SEAT BELT NOT ENGAGED" INDICATOR CONTINUED TO SOUND - SINCE THE SEAT BELT CANNOT BE LOCKED/SECURED. MECHANISM IS BROKEN, AND NEEDS TO NOW BE REPLACED BEFORE VEHICLE CAN BE SAFELY DRIVEN.
AFTER MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG INFLATOR; WEEKS LATER MY AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. UPON DIAGNOSING THE ILLUMINATED AIR BAG LIGHT, LOCAL CRYSLER DEALERSHIP REPORTED THAT THE DRIVER'S BACK BOTTOM SEAT WIRING HARNESS HAD TO BE REPLACED IN ORDER TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. IT WAS ALSO REPORTED THAT THE ISSUE WAS NOT RELATED TO THE RECENT RECALL. ISN'T THIS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT?
