I WAS DRIVING THE CAR TO THE GAS STATION TO PUT GAS IN IT AND THE CAR SHUT OFF AS I WAS PULLING UP TO THE GAS STATION AND THERE WAS A CAR COMING TOWARDS ME AND THE CAR HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY. I HAD TO LITERALLY STOP MY CAR AND RUN TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR THAT WAS COMING TOWARDS ME IN ORDER TO PREVENT AND ACCIDENT OF THE CAR RUNNING INTO MY CAR. I KNOW IT HAD ENOUGH FUEL I KEEP MY TANK FULL AND JUST WANTED TO FILL IT ALL THE WAY UP SINCE I HAD EXTRA FUNDS THAT WEEK. EVER SINCE THE SHUT OFF THE CAR HAD BEEN SPUTTERING AND HAVING TROUBLE SWITCHING GEARS. I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR AND IT HAS BEEN A DISAPPOINTMENT, ONE AFTER THE OTHER!!!!! THEN THERE'S AN ISSUE WITH THE FRONT END WHERE YOU HEAR A POPPING SOUND IF YOU SHOULD HAVE TO UNEXPECTEDLY HAVE TO HIT THE BRAKES OR IF YOU GO OVER A SPEED BUMP. *TR
FROM THE TIME THE CAR WAS NEW WHEN THE ABS OR TRACTION CONTROL WAS ENGAGED THE CAR MADE A CLICKING NOISE. AS NEVER HAVING A CAR WITH THIS FEATURE I THOUGHT WAS NORMAL. IN MARCH OF 2010 MY BRAKES FAILED ON MY 07 PACIFICA. UPON TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS CONTAMINATED FLUID IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND THE ENTIRE SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED. NEW CALIPERS, ABS MODULE, LINES, HOSES MASTER CYLINDER ECT. THE BILL WAS $2500 WHICH I HAD TO PAY BECAUSE THEY ARE CLAIMING CONTAMINATED FLUID. I HAD BEEN THE ONLY PERSON TO SERVICE THE BRAKES ON THAT CAR AND DID NOT ADD FLUID WHEN REPLACING THE FRONT PADS. WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED THE CAR WOULD COME TO A STOP AND START ROLLING AGAIN. I AVOIDED CRASHING BY STANDING ON THE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD. AFTER REPLACING THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM THE CLICKING HAS STOPPED. I HAVE DRIVEN CHRYSLER/ DODGE CARS FOR 12 YEARS... THIS ONE MAY BE MY LAST. *TR
LOUD THUMPING SOUND WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. SOUND SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM RIGHT REAR BRAKE. DEALER HAS REPLACED SLIPPER PART # 5102476-AA,CALIPER # 5114440-AA,BRAKE ROTOR #4721240-AF AND HUB BRAKE 4721354-AB. THIS HAS NOT SOLVED THE PROBLEM. DEALER STATES THEY HAVE REQUESTED HELP FROM CHRYSLER ON THIS PROBLEM BUT I HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER AS OF 02/20/2010. *TR
I HAVE CHRYSLER PACIFICA THAT HAS A BAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WHEN SHIFTING AND SOMETIMES THE REAR BRAKES WILL LOCK UP. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS AND WAS TOLD TO BRING IT IN ONLY WHEN YOU GET LIGHTS ON THE DASH OTHER THAN THAT IT IS NORMAL. I'M CURRENTLY WAITING FOR A TUNING VALVE TO BE REPLACED IN THE MOTOR. I'M NOW EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS NOW WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON AND GOING OFF. I WAS TOLD AGAIN BY A SERVICE WRITER IT WAS NORMAL UNTIL IT COMES ON AND STAYS ON. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN JANUARY 2008 AND IT IS NOW MARCH IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS 4 TIMES FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND TWICE FOR THE BRAKES AND A TOTAL OF 15 DAYS AND RUNNING. I HAVE CALLED CHRYSLER CARE SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE SENT THEM A LETTER AND THEIR RESPONSE TO ME IS KEEP TAKING IT BACK FOR REPAIRS THE CAR HAS 34,000 ON IT NOW AND STILL HAS FACTORY WARRANTY LEFT ON IT. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AND HAVE IT SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY BECAUSE THE DEALER IS WAITING FOR THE PARTS TO COME IN TO REPAIR IT. PLEASE IF THERE IS SOMEONE AT CHRYSLER LISTENING CALL ME... *TR
I BELIEVE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER PACIFICAS ABS SYSTEM. I HAD A 2005 THAT AFTER 7 ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM OF THE WARNING LIGHT STAYING ON, CHRYSLER TOOK THE CAR BACK. I NOW HAVE A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN SERVICED ONCE FOR THE ABS SENSOR BEING DEFECTIVE AND IT WILL BE SERVICED AGAIN ON THURSDAY FOR THE SAME REASON. ABS LIGHT STAYS LIT. I HAVE 18,000 MILES ON THE 2006 AND IT WILL HAVE BEEN SERVICED TWICE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THIS TYPE OF CAR. HAVE YOU ANY DATA ON THIS PROBLEM. *JB
