VAN IS NEW, (8/30/2019) UNDER 1000 MILES. PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 12 TIMES. WHEN STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR FROM A STOP, THERE IS NO RESPONSE. SUDDENLY THERE IS A SUDDEN, HARSH ACCELERATION. THIS IS A HAZARD IN TRAFFIC WITH OTHER VEHICLES AROUND. BACKING IN MY DRIVEWAY I ALMOST HIT THE HOUSE.
THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. I TURNED ON THE IGNITION, ENGINE CHECK LIGHT BLEW. TOOK IT TO NEAREST CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP, AND THEY FOUND THE AUXILIARY PUMP FOR HEATING THE HYBRID SYSTEM WAS MALFUNCTIONING. THEY SAID THE MINIVAN IS NOT FIT TO DRIVE UNTIL FIXED. THE VAN RAN FOR JUST 1800 MILES, I PURCHASED IT NEW JUST A MONTH AGO FROM DEALERSHIP. THE REPAIRS ARE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
