I HAVE A 2004 CHRYSLER SEBRING. THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT HAS DOOR HANDLES THAT HAVE A METAL COVERING ON THEM. I HAVE REPLACED THEM SEVERAL TIMES. THE METAL COVERING ON THE HANDLES START TO PEEL OFF AND IT CUTS YOUR HANDS IF NOT CAREFUL. MY GRANDDAUGHTER REQUIRED STITCHES FROM OPENING THE BACK DOOR. I HAVE ALSO HAD SERIOUS CUTS. AFTER TALKING TO OTHER SEBRING OWNERS I HAVE FOUND THAT THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE DOOR HANDLES AND BEING CUT. I WOULD LIKE TO SHE THIS CHANGED TO DIFFERENT HANDLES, HOWEVER I AM ONLY ABLE TO GET THE SAME TYPE OF HANDLE FOR MY CAR. *TR

CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH TRUNK LIDS FAILURE *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED SHE WAS LEANING INSIDE THE TRUNK, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE LID COLLAPSED OH HER BACK WHICH ULTIMATELY REQUIRED SURGERY AND ONE MONTH OF REHABILITATION. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY CHRYSLER SHE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THE STRUTS ON THE LID WERE IN WORKING ORDER AS THE PROBLEM WAS CONSIDERED A MAINTENANCE ISSUE. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER SEBRING. THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS SEVERELY CUT WHEN SHE OPENED THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE CHROME PLATING ON THE DOOR HANDLE WAS FAILING. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE HANDLE WAS FAULTY AND A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALER HAS NOT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 47,728 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,650.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER SEBRING. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS EXAMINING THE VEHICLE, SHE NOTICED THAT THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD WAS LIFTING UP AND BECOMING WARPED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS WARPED DIRECTLY ON TOP OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 87,500.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE INSIDE HANDLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR HAD CHROME SEPARATION CAUSING A CUT ON THE HAND. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHO DETERMINED THE HANDLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
MY VEHICLE HAS A LOUD RATTLE/CLUNK COMING FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FIREWALL. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE REPAIR SHOP TWICE WITH NO RESULTS. THE SERVICE MANAGER HEARD THE NOISE DURING A TEST DRIVE WITH ME, BUT NOW CLAIMS THAT THERE ARE NO NOISES IN MY CAR "OUT OF THE NORM". I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD BE SOMETHING SERIOUS, SINCE NO ONE GAS DETERMINED THE PROBLEM. CHRYSLER CORPORATION WILL NOT GET INVOLVED BECAUSE THEY ARE CLAIMING THAT IT IS A DEALER PROBLEM. *NM
DT: THE CONTACT STATED THE CHROME DOOR HANDLE ON THE INSIDE OF CAR CUT A PASSENGER'S FINGER WHILE EXITING. THE PASSENGER'S FINGER SLID DOWN THE HANDLE. THE DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED. THEY SAID THEY COULD REORDER HANDLES AT CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THEY SUGGESTED THAT SHE COVERED THE HANDLES WITH TAPE IF SHE DID NOT WANT TO REORDER THEM. *AK
CONSUMER STATES: BACK CAME OFF CAR WHILE DRIVING DOWN ROAD AND SCREWS CAME OUT OF BUMPER. THE BUMPER RIPPED OUT OF THE SNAPS THAT HOLD IT IN PLACE. *AK
THE LOCKING COMPONENT FOR THE CONVERTIBLE LATCH ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS PULLED OFF.*MR WHEN IT PULLED OFF IT LEFT A GOUGE IN THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THE LOCKING MECHANISM. THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED TWO TO DATE. THE PART HAS BEEN ORDERED BUT THE CONSUMER IS NOT SURE IF THE NEW PART WILL ALSO FAIL. *NM
