WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THE VAN RANDOMLY STARTS BLINKING ALL LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD AND THEN THE DRIVER POWER SEAT STARTS RANDOMLY GOING FORWARD AND BACKWARDS WHICH CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATION. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AND IS STARTED TO BECOME MORE FREQUENT. WHEN THIS HAPPENS WE IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE AT TIMES YOU CANNOT TOUCH PEDALS BECAUSE THE SEAT IS EXTENDED TO THE FULL LENGTH MAKING IT HARD TO REACH THE PEDALS. I GOT IN THE VAN AND IT WOUL NOT START. I CONTINUED TO TURN THE FOBIK UNTIL IT STARTED. I DROVE THE VAN TO CHRYSLER DEALER IN COLLIERVILLE TENNESSEE. THEY INSTALLED A WIN KIT. I DROVE IT HOME AND HAD VARIOUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE WIPERS AND LIGHTS WOULD COME ON AUTOMATICALLY. I TOOK THE VAN BACK TO THE SAME DALER. THEY REPLACED THE TIPM. I TOOK IT HOME AAGAIN TO DISCOVER THE VAN TO HAVE THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM ALONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. MY VAN HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS FOR THESE PROBLEMS. IT IS PRESENTLY THERE NOW. I HAVE SPENT A TOTAL OF $1689.61 FOR THESE REPAIRS. I AM NOT GETTING ANY RESULTS.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD GOING BETWEEN 35-40 MPH AND MY CAR SHUT OFF. THE RADIO AND HEADLIGHTS WERE WORKING BUT THE ENGINE WAS OFF, THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING AND THE BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. I TRIED TO STEER ON THE ROAD BUT WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN WHERE CROSS TRAFFIC DID NOT STOP. SO I ENDED UP PULLING INTO THE FRONT YARD OF SOMEONE'S HOUSE TO SLOW AND FINALLY STOP THE CAR. THE FRONT YARD WAS LARGE SO LUCKILY I DID NOT HIT ANY MAILBOXES OR HOUSES. MY CAR HAD SHUT OFF IN 3 OTHER INCIDENCES BUT I WASN'T GOING AS FAST AND I WAS IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD SO I WAS ABLE TO LET THE CAR ROLL TO A STOP AND NO ONE WAS HURT. WE USE THIS CAR AS A FAMILY CAR AND I AM WORRIED THAT SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN. I HAVE CALLED THE CLOSEST DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND CHRYSLER AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO HELP ME. THEY ALL OF TOLD ME THAT NOTHING CAN BE DONE WITHOUT A CERTAIN PART THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE. 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE ENGINE SHUT-OFF TWICE AND WIN MODULE REPLACEMENT ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER IS SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE WIN MODULE REPLACEMENT. JUST YESTERDAY "3-7-2015" DRIVING AT A SLOW SPEED MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF, THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THAT IT HAPPENED. DRIVING AT A HIGHER SPEED WHICH I NEED TO DO MAKES THIS VERY DANGEROUS. I DID CONTACT CHRYSLER GROUP RECALL ASSISTANCE ON FEB 24 OF THIS YEAR AND TALKED TO A [XXX] AND HAD A VERY VALUABLE DISCUSSION, SHE TOLD ME TO GO TO OUR CLOSEST CHRYSLER DEALER AND REPLACE THE PART, PAY FOR IT AND CHRYSLER WOULD REFUND AND WHEN THE NEW PART WAS AVAILABLE TO INSTALL THAT. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY WOULD NOT INSTALL IT UNLESS THEY GOT APPROVAL FROM THE CHRYSLER ENGINEERS. THE DEALER WAS TEMPE DODGE/CHRYSLER/JEEP IN TEMPE, AZ. I BELIEVE [XXX] DID SPEAK WITH SOMEONE AT THAT DEALER. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT YOUR OFFICE SEVERAL TIMES AND LISTENED TO YOU VOICE MAIL FOR HOURS WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED. I JUST GOT MY CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY, IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN THREE MONTHS SINCE I GOT IT AND NOW THE BAROMETRIC PRESSURE IS LOW WITCH IS CAUSING OTHER PROBLEMS WITCH ALSO CAUSE THE CAR TO SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING I HAVE HAD ONE PERSON TELL ME THAT THE CAR SHOULDN'T BE ON THE ROAD. I WAS MAD BECAUSE I ONLY GOT IT BECAUSE I'M EXPECTING MY THIRD CHILD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT WAS FOLDED DOWN TO WHERE YOU CAN HAVE THE LIFTGATE UP AND SIT IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND ASKED IF THE SEAT HAD ANY SAFETY FEATURE TO STOP THE SEAT. THE CONTACT HAD TO GET THE YOUNG PASSENGER OUT OF THE SEAT, BUT THE FRAME OF THE SEAT FRACTURED. ONCE THE RETRACT BUTTON WAS PUSHED, THERE WAS NO WAY TO STOP IT FROM FOLDING. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE SEAT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FAILURE COULD HAVE SERIOUSLY INJURED A YOUNG PERSON. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.

I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS IN MULTIPLE STATES TRYING TO GET MY MINIVAN FIXED AND NONE OF THEM HAVE HAD THE PARTS AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A RECOGNIZED PROBLEM AND PART OF A PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED RECALL, BUT FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES HAS NOT PROVIDED RECALL PARTS TO DEALERSHIPS OR UPDATED ANYONE ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF THE RECALL. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST ONE YEAR SINCE THE RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED WITH NO PROGRESS ON MY VEHICLE.
AS I WAS PULLING INTO GAS STATION PARKING SPOT THE VAN SHUT OFF. AAA CAME AND TRIED TO JUMP START VAN, IT WOULD NOT EVEN TURN OVER. THE LIGHTS INSIDE THE VAN STILL CAME ON AND IT STILL STARTED WITH THE AUTOMATIC START. I HAD TO HAVE VAN TOWED TO SERVICE STATION. THE SERVICE STATION SAID IT IS THE WIN THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND CHRYSLER IS HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS RIGHT NOW THAT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER FOR 3-4 DAYS. THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS, BUT ACCORDING TO THE NEW SAFETY RECALL ADVANCED COMMUNICATION L25070114 LETTER SENT OUT ON 07/01/2014, IT STATE THE WIN MODULE MAY HAVE UNINTENTIONAL MOVEMENT THAT COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO SHUT OFF. IT SAYS CHRYSLER WILL CONDUCT A VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL TO INTERROGATE THE WIN MODULE USING WITECH SCAN TOOL AND CERTAIN WIN MODULES WILL HAVE A SECONDARY WIN DETENT SYSTEM INSTALLED.
