DRIVER REAR BRAKE INTERMITTENTLY HANGS AND HEATS UP. ON SOME DRIVES AFTER I EXIT MY VEHICLE MY PASSENGER REAR WHEEL WILL BE NOTICEABLY HOT WITH SMELL OF BURNING RUBBER. IT DOES NOT DO THIS ALL THE TIME JUST SEEMS RANDOM

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHEN DRIVING ON A FLAT SURFACE BETWEEN 35 AND 45 MPH THERE IS A SHUDDERING/STUTTERING THAT HAPPENS. IT FEELS LIKE THE VAN DOES NOT KNOW WHETHER TO SPEED UP OR SLOW DOWN. SOMETIMES WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE VEHICLE WILL COMPLETELY SHUTOIFF/STALL CAUSING STEERING AND BRAKING TO BE REDUCED. I HAVE TO QUICKLY PUT VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND THEN RESTART. IF I KEEP RPMS HIGH BY STAYING IN A LOWER GEAR THERE IS NO STUTTERING/SHUDDERING

IN ADDITION, THE VALVE STEM FRACTURED FROM THE TIRE AND CAUSED THE AIR TO REMOVE FROM THE TIRE RAPIDLY. THE CONTACT HAD TO PLACE THE SPARE TIRE ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIPM WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AIR BAGS) WHERE UPDATES WERE MADE TO THE SOFTWARE. AFTER THE RECALL SERVICE, WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHT ALSO ILLUMINATED. ADDITIONALLY, THE KEY FOB WOULD NOT RELEASE THE DOOR LOCKS. ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OF THE VEHICLE FAILED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO ENTER THE VEHICLE BECAUSE A MANUAL KEY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THERE WERE NO ADDITIONAL REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
ON 3/7/16, 3 DAYS FOLLOWING THE RECALL REPAIR FOR THE WIN MODULE WE HAD DONE ON 3/4/16, AFTER STARTING THE CAR AND BEGINNING TO DRIVE IN MY CHURCH PARKING LOT, ALL OF THE DASH LIGHTS LIT UP, THE CAR STARTED CHIMING AS IF I DIDN'T HAVE MY SEATBELT ON, THE WIPERS ENGAGED, AND THE MPH AND RPM GAUGES DROPPED TO ZERO. IT CONTINUALLY REPEATED. I ATTEMPTED TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPACE, TURN OFF AND REMOVED KEY FROM IGNITION. RESTARTED CAR, AND PROBLEM PERSISTED. I REPEATED THIS AGAIN WITH THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTING. I PULLED INTO A GAS STATION, TURNED CAR OFF, REMOVED KEY, AND EXITED VEHICLE. WHEN I RESTARTED THE CAR THE PROBLEM HAD STOPPED. TWO DAYS LATER ON 3/8/16 I STARTED MY CAR FOR WORK AND AS SOON AS I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE THE SAME PROBLEM STARTED. SHUT THE CAR OFF, REMOVED KEY, AND RESTARTED... STILL OCCURRING. SHUT THE CAR OFF, REMOVED KEY, EXITED VEHICLE, RESTARTED, STILL OCCURRING... I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD AFTER EXITING MY DRIVEWAY AND TOOK A VIDEO OF THIS PROBLEM REPEATING CONTINUALLY UNTIL A MILE DOWN THE ROAD, I PULLED OVER INTO AN EMPTY PARKING LOT, SHUT THE CAR OFF, REMOVED KEY, OPENED AND SHUT THE DOOR, AND LET IT SIT FOR 3-5 MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING, AND THE PROBLEM NO LONGER OCCURRED. MY HUSBAND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, GREENWOOD AUTO IN CORTLAND, OH TO TELL THEM WHAT WAS HAPPENING, AND ALL THEY SAID THAT IT WASN'T FROM THEM REPAIRING THE WIN MODULE. I FIND THIS EXTREMELY UNSAFE, AND HARD TO BELIEVE THIS IS JUST A COINCIDENCE AS THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE PRIOR TO HAVING THE RECALL REPAIR DONE. I DO NOT HAVE PICTURES BUT I DO HAVE A VIDEO. CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE NOW SAYS I HAVE TO PAY A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSIS OF THIS NEW PROBLEM, HOW CONVENIENT THAT IS.

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR HATCH DOOR MOTOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.

MY 2008 TOWN & COUNTRY BURNS A LOT OF OIL. THERE ARE NO LEAKS OR WET SPOTS UNDER THE HOOD OR ON THE GROUND. I HAVE TO ADD A QUART OF OIL EVERY 100 MILES. MY RESEARCH SHOWS THAT A MAJORITY, IF NOT ALL, OF THE OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. KINDLY LOOK IN TO ISSUING A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. THANK YOU.
CONTINUATION OF 02/01/2016 REPORT: WITH THE INITIAL IGNITION, THIS CAR'S ENGINE JUST STOPPED AND LOST ALL POWER WHILE LEAVING OUR DRIVEWAY, BACK IN 2010. THE IGNITION WAS REPLACED SEPT. 2014 UNDER A RECALL NOTICE. WE HAD NO FURTHER PROBLEMS AT THAT TIME. THE IGNITION WAS REPLACE AGAIN IN SEPT. 2015 DUE TO ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE. ON JAN. 15, 2016, WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH ON A LOCAL ROAD, THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND WE LOST ALL POWER. TOOK CAR TO CHRYSLER DEALER. THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY PROBLEM, BUT SAID A TECHNICAL REPORT SUGGESTED REPLACING THE PCM, WHICH WAS DONE ON 01/18/2016. ON 02/01/2016, THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND LOST ALL POWER, AFTER TRAVELING APPROX. 400 FT. TODAY, 2/17/2016, MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON THE DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY, AT APPROX. 50 MPH, DURING RUSH HOUR, AND THE ENGINE JUST SHUT DOWN. LUCKILY SHE WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT INCIDENT, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, AND RESTART THE ENGINE. IF THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER, SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THIS PROBLEM SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE QUICKLY.

SEVERAL DIAGNOSTICS DONE OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS, ALL TO NO AVAIL. ENGINE TUNE UP WITH PLUGS PERFORMED. MAP SENSOR REPLACED. NO ERROR CODES. HELP US!!!

I AM THE OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR A LIVERY SERVICE ON CAPE COD THAT USES DODGE AND CHRYSLER MINIVANS FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICE. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE PARTS FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL SINCE JUNE 2015, AND MY LOCAL DEALER KEEPS TELLING ME THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. FCA KEEPS SENDING ME NOTICES, AND I FIND IT DISGUSTING THAT ANYONE SHOULD WAIT OVER NINE MONTHS FOR THE PARTS FOR THIS VITAL RECALL. FCA SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR NOT MAKING THESE PARTS AVAILABLE IN A TIMELY MANNER.

THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON FOR ABOUT 2.7 YEARS AND CHRYSLER WON'T FIX A BRAUN ENTERVAN AND BRAUN WON'T FIX A CHRYSLER. I HAVE BEEN PASSED BACK AND FORTH AND SPEND OVER $540.00 TRYING TO FIX A DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH BRAUN AND THEY SAY TOO BAD.

ON JAN. 15, 2016, WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH ON A LOCAL ROAD, THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND WE LOST ALL POWER. TOOK CAR TO CHRYSLER DEALER. THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY PROBLEM, BUT SAID A TECHNICAL REPORT SUGGESTED REPLACING THE PCM, WHICH WAS DONE ON 01/18/2016. ON 02/01/2016, THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND LOST ALL POWER, AFTER TRAVELING APPROX. 400 FT.

AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE GIVEN. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
UPON PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE (FEB 2015), WE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE ON THE IGNITION SWITCH (R03/NHTSA 14V-373). WENT TO DEALERSHIP (DICK MEYERS CHRYSLER/DODGE IN HARRISONBURG VA) IN MAY 2015 AND WAS TOLD THAT WE WERE "ON A LIST" AND WOULD BE NOTIFIED. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. DID A FOLLOW UP ON JAN 28, 2016 AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING - "ON A LIST" DUE TO BACKORDERED PARTS. THIS DELAY SEEMS RIDICULOUS AND OBVIOUS TO US THAT CHRYSLER DOESN'T WANT TO SWALLOW THE COST AND HOPING PEOPLE WILL JUST GIVE UP.
THE INCIDENTS BELOW ARE RELATED TO THE TIPM. 11-22-13, 80000 MILES, I HAVE VIDEO. (I'M GUESSING ON MILEAGE.) IN MY GARAGE. I HIT MY UNLOCK BUTTON ON MY FOB. I DO NOT HAVE A STARTER, BUT MY VAN BEGAN RUNNING, THE LIGHTS,WIPERS & HORN CAME ON, THE DOORS LOCKED. I MANUALLY UNLOCKED THE DOOR. ENTERING THE VEHICLE, I TRIED TO TURN ON/OFF THE VAN, WIPERS & LIGHTS TO NO AVAIL. AFTER 1/2 HOUR, IT STOPPED. I STARTED THE CAR. IT WAS WORKING. 3-17-15, 100000 MILES (I'M GUESSING ON MILEAGE.) IN THE PARKING LOT, I TRIED TO START MY VAN. NO RESPONSE. FIGURED MY BATTERY DIED. AS SOON AS WE STARTED A JUMP, VAN'S HORN STARTED BLARING, WIPERS, LIGHTS & MOTOR BEGAN. COULD NOT TURN ANYTHING ON/OFF WITH MY KEY. WE REMOVED/REPLACED A FUSE, WHICH STOPPED THE HORN, WIPERS, ETC. I DROVE HOME. 1-28-16, 122487 MILES I LEFT WORK, HIT MY FOB'S UNLOCK BUTTON, THE WIPERS STARTED GOING, ETC. (THE HORN'S HAD BURNED OUT FROM A PREVIOUS INCIDENT). I DROVE 4 MILES. THE VAN STALLED DANGEROUSLY IN TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. AFTER 5 MINS, THE WIPERS STOPPED. I DROVE IT HOME. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I MADE IT HOME. NEXT MORNING, WHILE DRIVING, THE WASHER FLUID STARTED SHOOTING! I BARELY GOT THE VAN PULLED OVER BEFORE IT STALLED. I COULDN'T STOP THE WIPERS. WHEN I TELL SERVICE THE SYMPTOMS, SHE SAID, "DO YOU HAVE A TOWN AND COUNTRY?" I HAD THE IGNITION MODULE (RECALL) REPLACED.I WENT HOME. 2-3-16, 122600 MILES DRIVING TO WORK. WIPERS BEGIN, WIPER FLUID SHOOTING OUT AGAIN! 5 DAYS PRIOR, THEY SAID IT WAS A RECALL FOR THE IGNITION MODULE. TODAY, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE IGNITION MODULE REPLACEMENT. I MUST PAY $966 TO GET A NEW TIPM IF I WANT TO BE SAFE. IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL OR WARRANTY. I CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE.THEY SAID THE SAME. *TR THE CONSUMER NO LONGER OWNS THE VEHICLE. THE CONUMER REQUESTED A REIMBURSEMENT FOR AN ISSUE THAT BECAME A RECALL AND A TOW. *JS
CHRYSLER ISSUED RECALL R03 INVOLVING THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE. THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED APPROXIMATELY 8 MONTHS AGO. DESPITE REPEATED PHONE CALLS TO MANY LOCAL DEALERS AND THE CHRYSLER HOTLINE, CHRYSLER HAS NOT MADE THE PARTS AVAILABLE TO THE DEALERS SO THAT THE SAFETY DEFECT CAN BE FIXED. THIS IS AN ONGOING SAFETY CONCERN WHICH CHRYSLER HAS BEEN AWARE OF FOR YEARS, HOWEVER THIS CORPORATION REFUSES TO SPEND THE TIME AND RESOURCES TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATE PARTS AVAILABLE TO CURE THE PROBLEM. PER MY MOST RECENT PHONE CALL TO CHRYSLER, THE PART IS STILL ON BACK ORDER AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY SORT OF TIMELINE AS TO WHEN THIS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE. WHAT USE IS A RECALL, IF CHRYSLER REFUSES TO WORK IN GOOD FAITH TOWARDS FIXING THE PROBLEM? THE TIPM IS DEFECTIVE TO MY TOWN AND COUNTRY MODEL. THE HORN WILL BLARE, THE FRONT AND BACK WINDSHIELD WIPERS GO ON, THE DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK. AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT GO PAST 30MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME MORE THAN ONCE WHILE GOING ON THE FREEWAY AT 60MPH. IT HAS ALSO HAPPENED AFTER I PARKED THE CAR. WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED, AND THIS HAPPENS, IT ACTUALLY TURNS THE ENGINE ON! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE AS I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS ISSUE.
WE WERE TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 55-60 MPH ON A HIGHWAY WHEN WE WERE HIT FROM BEHIND. I WAS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE VAN WENT STRAIGHT TO ITS SIDE AND I HIT THE DOOR WINDOW AND WE CONTINUED TO ROLL NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEN CAME TO A STOP ON ITS SIDE, MY SAME SIDE. DURING THE CRASH AND ROLLOVER THE OPPOSITE PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR WAS PARTIALLY RIPPED AWAY. TWO OF THE PASSENGERS WERE EJECTED FROM THE VAN. NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED.

WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE ON-RAMP TO A HIGHWAY MY CAR HIT A BUMP AND LOST CONTROL AND I STARTED SLIDING. THANKFULLY THERE HAPPENED TO BE NO ONE COMING. I NOTICED THAT WHEN MY VAN STOPPED HALFWAY IN A DITCH AND HALFWAY ON THE LEFT LANE I WENT TO MOVE MY VEHICLE IT WOULDN'T MOVE SO I THEN NOTICED IT WAS OFF BUT STILL IN DRIVE AND THE KEY WAS STILL ON. SO I PUT IT IN PARK AND SHUT IT OFF THEN TURNED IT BACK ON THEN WAS ABLE TO PROCEED DRIVING BUT SINCE THEN MY ESP/BAS, AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT HAVE BEEN ON. AFTER HAVING THAT HAPPENED I HAD THE RECALL ON MY VAN FIXED. WELL THE LIGHTS ARE STILL THERE AND NOW THE DRIVING IS WORSE. I CANT CONTROL MY STEERING AND THEY SAY IT IS MY STEERING ANGLE SENSOR. THEY ALSO SAY MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDS FIXED AND A PCM FLASH. WHICH I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW ALL THESE PROBLEMS STARTED SINCE MY IGNITION UNWILLINGLY SHUT OFF. I AM THINKING THAT CAUSED A POWER SURGE, AND NOW ITS GOING TO COST ME $2000 TO FIX IT IF NOT MORE. UNEXPECTED ENGINE SHUTDOWN WHILE IN MOTION DRIVING RESULTING IN LOSS OF BRAKES OR STEERING. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR 5 YEARS WITH MANY VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP AND VARIOUS REPAIRS, NONE OF WHICH HAS RESULTED IN RETURNING THE VEHICLE TO US IN A SAFE STATE.
