THERE IS AN EXISTING RECALL FOR A FIRE SAFETY RECALL ON IGNITIONS. I HAVE BEEN WAITING A MONTH AND SAFFORD DODGE KEEPS TELLING ME I AM ON A LIST BUT THEY CAN'T GET THEM IN FROM MANUFAC.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PLACE THE GEAR SHIFTER IN NEUTRAL AND COAST TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND ABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON ONE OTHER OCCASION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. ENGINE EXTREMELY BURNS OIL, NO LEAKS HAVE BEEN FOUND. CAR HAS 70MMILES HOWEVER IT HAS BURNED OIL LIKE THIS SINCE I BOUGHT IT AT 28M.MILES. I HAVE TRIED MANY OILS AND NON HAVE HELPED. I NOTICE THAT ONLINE THERE IS A TON OF COMPLAINTS WITH OTHERS. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. I BURN 2 QTS EVERY 1500 MILES. NO BLUE SMOKE WHERE IS IT GOING?

IN ADDITION, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE IGNITION FAILED TO START AND THE KEY FAILED TO RELEASE FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER A NHTSA RECALL RELATED TO THE IGNITION SWITCH; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER AND VIN WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
ENGINE WAS STARTED AND JOURNEY STARTED ON TARMAC ROAD. 2 MINUTES LATER, ESP AMBER WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED, POWER STEERING DISENGAGED AND BRAKES WENT HARD. ACCELERATION WAS NOT POSSIBLE. CAR HAD TO BE FORCED TO SIDE OF ROAD AND RESTARTED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN ONE MONTH. *JS
VAN WOULDN'T START THIS MORNING. JUST CLICKS. DISCONNECTED NEGATIVE TERMINAL AND RECONNECTED. THEN IT STARTED.
GAUGES AND WARNING LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING/BLINKING WHILE DRIVING. THEN, COMPUTER SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED WHILE DRIVING. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND TURN IGNITION OFF AND RESTARTED. THEN IT WORKED FINE FOR 2 DAYS.
"TAKATA RECALL" WHILE DRIVING ON A NORMAL STREET THE CAR WILL JUST TURN OFF. I WILL LOSE CONTROL OF STEERING, BRAKES AND THE ABILITY OF DRIVING IT. AFTER THE VEHICLE STOPS, I PUT IT IN PARK AND STARTS BACK UP.

THE TIPM IS A CAUSE OF THE VEHICLE HORN HONKING, WIPERS MOVING ON THEIR OWN, WIPER FLUID SPRAYING, AND THE LIGHTS FLASHING BY THEMSELVES. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE RANDOMLY STALL BY ITSELF ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING IT AND THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. THESE ISSUES SEEM TO MYSTERIOUSLY GO AWAY WHEN I TRY TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. LAST WEEK THE BATTERY DIED AND BECAUSE OF IT BEING A FEW YEARS OLD AND NOW BEING IN THE WINTER, I DECIDED TO REPLACE IT ONLY TO HAVE IT DIE AGAIN A DAY LATER. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC WHO TESTED THE CHARGING SYSTEM AND SAID IT WAS ALL GOOD. THEN PROCEEDED TO DO A PARASITIC DRAW TEST WHERE HE DETERMINED THAT THE TIPM WAS CAUSING THE ISSUES. I DID SOME GOOGLE SEARCHES AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A WIDE STREAM PROBLEM WITH MANY OWNERS OF VARIOUS CHRYSLER VEHICLES HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS NOT SAFE ESPECIALLY WHEN THE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING IT AND THERE ARE NO POWER BRAKES OR STEERING CAPABILITIES. A PERSON COULD END UP IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT OR EVEN BE KILLED NOT TO MENTION OTHER DRIVERS BEING AT RISK ALSO. DOESN'T SEEM TO MAKE MUCH SENSE THAT CHRYSLER IS DRAGGING THIS ON AND NOT DOING ANYTHING NOT TO MENTION THAT I CAN'T EVEN ORDER THE PART BECAUSE IT'S ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR AND A FEW TIMES LAST YEAR BUT THE TECH WAS UNABLE TO CORRECTLY DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE.

TURNED OFF VAN TO GET GAS. TRIED TO START AND NOTHING. ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS COME ON AND STAY ON AND HARD DRIVE/NAVIGATION MAKES A WHINING SOUND. IT DID THIS 3 TIMES AND FINALLY STARTED ON THE 4TH TRY.

VAN DIED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. STOPPED AND RESTARTED. A FEW MINUTES LATER THE TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING (ENGINE RUNNING, NO POWER TO WHEELS). COASTED TO SHOULDER AND THEN IT STARTED TO WORK AGAIN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLIGHT MODULE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.

THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN OVER TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED OCCASIONALLY. THE DEALER PERFORMED THE RECALL REPAIR, BUT IT DID NOT PERMANENTLY REPAIR THE CONDITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A TIRE REPAIR SHOP TO REPLACE THE TIRES. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AFTER THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,725.

WE RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE R03/NHTSA 14V-373 WHICH IS THE 3RD RECALL WE HAVE RECEIVED IN THE LAST TWO YEARS. WE HAVE ATTEMPTED TO GO TO OUR DEALER TO HAVE THIS RECALL COMPLETED BUT OUR DEALER CONTINUES TO TELL US THAT THEY ARE NOT RECEIVING ENOUGH PARTS TO COMPLETE THIS RECALL. I CONTACTED FCA BACK IN NOVEMBER AND WAS TOLD THAT OUR DEALER WOULD HAVE THE PARTS MID-DECEMBER. I CONTACTED OUT DEALER YESTERDAY, 12/14/2015, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY STILL ARE NOT RECEIVING PARTS AND WE ARE #45 ON A THEIR LIST. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHY THESE PARTS ARE NOT BEING SENT.
REPLACING BRAKE PADS, ROTORS AND CALIPERS EVERY 3,000 MILES. THE BRAKE PADS NO MATTER WHAT BRAND OR WHAT THEY ARE MADE OF GO METAL TO METAL BY 3500 MILES OF DRIVING. WE HAVE ALSO REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER AND BOTH HUB BEARINGS. BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED 2 YEARS AGO AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT FRONT END PROBLEMS.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE (WIN) AND PROBLEM WITH THE FOBIK. I HAVE CONTACT LOCAL DEALERS AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART AND IT IS ON BACK-ORDER AND UNKNOWN WHEN IT WILL BE IN. THIS HAS BEEN THE CASE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND LEAVING US WITH LITTLE OPTIONS.
SINCE RECEIVING THE RECALL NOTICE IN JUNE 2015, I HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL IN FINDING A CAR DEALERSHIP THAT CAN PRODUCE THE PARTS TO MAKE THE REPAIRS TO MAKE THIS VEHICLE SAFE. WITH THE AID OF THE FCA GROUP RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER, I HAVE HAD TWO APPOINTMENTS MADE AND WAS ASSURED EACH TIME THE DEALER WOULD HAVE THE PART IN STOCK. AFTER REGISTERING WITH THE LOCAL SERVICE DEPARTMENTS ON THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT, EACH ONE CAME BACK AND DENIED TO PERFORM THE REQUIRED CORRECTIVE WORK CITING THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART IN STOCK. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING AND A WASTE OF MY TIME. IF CHRYSLER VALUES THEIR CUSTOMERS, WHY CAN'T THEY HAVE THE PARTS READILY AVAILABLE? THIS IS A CATASTROPHE WAITING TO HAPPEN. AND WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE WHEN AN ACCIDENT OCCURS DUE TO THE VEHICLE JUST STOPPING DUE TO THE DEFECTIVE PARTS? THIS APPEARS TO BE MORE RUN AROUND BY CORPORATE AMERICA WITH NO END IN SIGHT. ADDITIONALLY, AFTER READING A NUMBER OF THE COMPLAINTS, THE NHTSA DOESN'T APPEAR TO HAVE ENOUGH CLOUT TO FORCE THE MANUFACTURERS TO PERFORM THE CORRECTIVE WORK WITHIN A CERTAIN REASONABLE TIME FRAME. VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SEE ALL THE IN ACTION AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONSUMER. WHAT ELSE CAN BE DONE TO FORCE RESOLUTION TO THIS VERY SERIOUS RECALL ISSUE? AS A SIDE NOTE, ONE OF THE CAR DEALERS LAYS THE BLAME FOR LACK OF PARTS SQUARELY ON CHRYSLER. HE STATED THAT CHRYSLER WILL ONLY SHIP ONE REPAIR KIT TO A DEALER AT A TIME. THE DEALER IS REQUIRED TO RETURN THE DEFECTIVE UNIT BEFORE CHRYSLER WILL SEND THEM A SECOND UNIT. IS IT ANY WONDER THIS WILL TAKE YEARS TO HAVE ALL THE VEHICLES REPAIRED. I AGAIN REITERATE, IS THIS ANYWAY TO MAINTAIN A CUSTOMER BASE?
ENGINE STALLED WHILE BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART, THEN ESC LIGHTS CAME ON.
WARNING LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING. WILL USUALLY TURN OFF AFTER REBOOTING.
FOR RECALL NOTICE 14V-373 REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL AS WELL AS OTHER RELATED ISSUES MULTIPLE TIMES. I THINK THE MANUFACTURER HAS EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. I (THE OWNER) HAVE NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO CHECK ON THE PART. MY CAR IS ON THE LIST. I AM NOT SURE WHAT ELSE TO DO.

WE HAVE HAD OUR VAN FOR SEVEN YEARS (BOUGHT NEW) AND HAVE ALWAYS DONE REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON IT. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH THREE OF OUR CHILDREN, THE HORN STARTED BLARING, WIPERS TURNED ON, FLUID STARTED SPRAYING ALL OVER THE WINDOWS. WE PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND SHUT THE VAN OFF. EVERYTHING CONTINUED! WE POPPED THE HOOD AND HEARD A SLIGHT TICKING COMING FROM THE "FUSE BOX". WE GAVE IT A LIGHT TAP AND IT FINALLY STOPPED. WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT HOME. THE PROBLEMS CONTINUED OFF AND ON FOR MONTHS WITH NO ONE ABLE TO HELP AND GOT WORSE SINCE THE LOCKS STARTED GOING UP AND DOWN, DASH LIGHTS START FLASHING, FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS FLASH, AND THE CAR DOES NOT ALWAYS SHIFT GEARS. IT EVEN DOES SOME OF THESE THINGS WHILE TURNED OFF. WE TOOK THE FUSE OUT OF THE HORN BUT KNOW IT IS STILL HAPPENING BECAUSE SOMETIMES IN THE MORNING THE WIPERS ARE UP FROM RANDOMLY TURNING ON AND OFF BY THEMSELVES DURING THE NIGHT. WE TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST TO HAVE TO TRANSMISSION REBUILT (TWICE) AND THE CONVERTER REPLACED. EVERYTHING ELSE IS STILL HAPPENING AND NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT DOESN'T ALWAYS DO IT. LUCKILY I FOUND THIS INFORMATION ON MY OWN. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS SUCH A WIPE SPREAD PROBLEM AND CHRYSLER HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT!! WITH A LARGE FAMILY, WE CANT AFFORD TO KEEP PUTTING MONEY INTO SOMETHING THAT WAS OBVIOUSLY BUILT FAULTY.
AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS WAITING FOR THE R03 RECALL TO BE DONE, IT WAS FINALLY FIXED. TO MY DISMAY, AS I WAS DRIVING OFF THE PARKING LOT OF THE DEALER WHO FIXED IT I STARTED HEARING A CLICKING NOISE IN MY STEERING WHEEL. IT WAS NEVER LIKE THAT BEFORE AND NOW THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH IT. DEALER CLAIMS IT IS THE CLOCK SPRING ASSEMBLY AND WILL COST BE ROUGHLY $500 BUT DEALER REFUSES TO PAY FOR IT. THEY STATED THEY WERE NO WHERE NEAR THE STEERING WHEEL WHICH IS HARD TO BELIEVE SINCE THEY WERE REPLACING THE IGNITION WHICH I THOUGHT WERE RIGHT NEXT TO IT. AND I'VE ACTUALLY READ SEVERAL CONSUMER COMPLAINTS THAT HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. CHRYSLER IS LOOKING INTO THIS BUT I WON'T HOLD MY BREATHE.
