THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUT DOWN AND WOULD REQUIRE RESTARTING. RADIO TIME WOULD RESET AS IF THE BATTERY WAS DISCONNECTED. AFTER HAVING AUTO TECH LOOK AT VEHICLE, IT HAS SHUT DOWN ONCE AT A STOP. THE RADIO HAS RESET MULTIPLE TIME BUT ENGINE DOES NOT SHUT OFF.
WHILE STOPPED AND ENGINE RUNNING IN DRIVE GEAR. VEHICLE WAS IN LINE AT A DRIVE THRU. I COULD SMELL ELECTRICAL ODOR IN VEHICLE. THE CARS ELECTRICAL STOPPED WORKING AND THEN THE BATTERY WAS AFFECTED. SUDDENLY NO POWER TO VEHICLE. BATTERY WAS EVEN DEAD AFTER ELECTRICAL WENT OUT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 104,000. *TT*JB
VEHICLE WONT START UNTIL MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, WILL STALL WHILE DRIVING AND FUEL PUMP WILL CONTINUE TO DEUN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SHUTOFF UNTIL BATTERY IS DRAINED. THIS HAS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN DAILY FOR A FEW WEEKS. CAR HAS DIED ON MULTIPLE WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY STREETS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER. WONT START WITHOUT MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS IN THE MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK AND I BETWEEN SHORT STOPS AFTER BEING DRIVEN FOR AWHILE. FUEL PUMP WILL INTERMITTENTLY CONTINUE TO RUN AFTER CAR IS OFF AND KEY IS REMOVED BOTH SHORT AND LONG TRIPS, REQUIRING BATTERY CABLE TO BE REMOVED. ON A NUMBER OF OCCASSIONS I HAVE NOT REALIZED IT WAS RUNNING UNTIL COMING BACK TO VEHICLE AND HEARING IT, ONLY TO FIND THAT IT HAS DRAINED THE BATTERY TO THE POINT THAT IT WILL NOT START.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, THE BATTERY POWER DRAINED AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS EXAMINED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. IT WAS LATER DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY REMAINED ACTIVATED EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE IGNITION KEY WAS REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (EAST TENNESSEE DODGE, 2774 N. MAIN ST, CROSSVILLE, TN) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ALLEN SAMUELS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (620-860-4002, LOCATED AT 1421 E 30TH AVE, HUTCHINSON, KS 67502) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIPTON BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. NO ERROR CODES OR POOR RUNNING PERFORMANCE. IT SIMPLY SHUT DOWN. HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. THIS LATEST EVENT WAS ON THE HIGH WAY AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. WITH ENGINE OFF NO AIRBAGS, POWER STEERING/BRAKES. FAMILY WAS IN THE CAR. INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
MY CAR WAS WORKING FINE BEFORE THE THE INCIDENT THAT I HAD WAS IN THE FAMILY DOLLAR I WAS AS DOING SOME SHOPPING WHEN I WAS DONE I WENT TO MY CAR I PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION ON AND I TURN THE CAR THERE WAS NO SOUND OR ANY POWER SO I CALL THE TOWING COMPANY TO TAKE THE CAR TO MY HOUSE WHEN I REACH MY HOUSE AND CALL A FRIEND THAT HE IS A MECHANIC TO CHECK ON MY CAR AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE BATTERY OF THE CAR WAS DRAIN SO I TOOK THE BATTERY OUT AND TOOK IT TO CLOSES AUTOZONE HWY 27 HAINES CITY FL I TOOK MY OLD BATTERY TO THE AUTOZONE BUT THE NEW BATTERY WAS GOING TO COST ME ROUND 230 DOLLARS I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE THAT TO BUY IT THEN I WENT BACK HOME MY FRIEND THE MECHANIC PUT THE NEW BATTERY IN DROVE THE CAR TO THE SAME AUTOZONE THE SAME DAY TO DO A QUICK CHECK UP ON THE ALTERNATOR SO THEY DID THE CHECK UP AND THE ALTERNATOR WAS GOING BAD ALSO SO I BOUGHT A NEW ALTERNATOR THAT COST ME 170 DOLLARS HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH ALMOST A BRAND NEW CAR IT GOT ME UPSET I NEVER WENT TO THE DEALER TO COMPLAIN SO 2 WEEKS PASS COMING OUT FROM MY HOUSE I TURN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR DIDN'T WANNA START SO I ASK ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS TO DO A QUICK BATTERY JUMP WHEN SO I TOOK MY CAR TO THE AUTOZONE SINCE I HAVE WARRANTY ON THE 2 ITEMS THEY HAVE ME NEW ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY AGAIN I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC AND MORE MONEY TO SPEND ALSO THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT IT MIGHT HAVE SOME ELECTRICAL ISSUES INSIDE THE CAR SO THE MECHANIC REPLACE AGAIN THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY NOW THE CAR IS RUNNING GOOD FOR NOW A WEEK PASS AND LEAVING HOME WENT INTO MY CAR TRY TO START MY CAR AND IT TOOK A WHILE TO START IT SOUND IT LIKE A CHOKE IT TOOK ME ALMOST 5 TIMES BEFORE THE CAR STARTS SO I TOOK THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC AND THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT THE FUEL PUMP IS GOING BAD AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACE I SPEND ALMOST 400 FOR 2 THINGS NOW I GOT TO SPEND MORE MONEY FOR A FUEL PUMP THIS IS NONSENSE.
VAN DIES WHILE DRIVING. SPEED DOES NOT MATTER. 5MPH OR 65MPH. DIES WITHOUT WARNING-NO POWER STEERING, HARD TO BRAKE, NO TURN SIGNALS TO LET OTHER DRIVERS KNOW ETC. ONCE I GET PULLED OVER AND PUT INTO PARK IT WILL START UP FINE LIKE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. OTHER REPUTABLE MECHANICS FIND NOTHING ON VAN'S COMPUTER.. NO ERROR CODES. NOTHING DETECTABLE. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR TWO YEARS AT RANDOM. IT'S TERRIFYING AND WILL UNFORTUNATELY PROBABLY BE FATAL SOMEDAY.

MY CAR START BUT DON'T RUN . SOME VEHICLES HAS THIS PROBLEM AND THEY SAY THAT IS THE TIPM MODULE. I WISH TO KNOW IF THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL FOR THIS
Both rear sliding door lock actuators have failed twice within the last 3 years. Before failure, they make a loud electronic honking noise. Sometimes they do not lock during this period, causing security concerns. After they fail, they stay locked and cannot be opened. This includes attempts to unlock manually. The passenger rear sliding door failed about 3.5 years ago, and the drivers rear sliding door failed soon after. They have both failed again currently. There is no way to open either door at the moment. This is a clear safety concern.
STARTED HEARING HUMMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE 35-70 MPH. THOUGHT IT TO BE TIRES. REVIEWED RECALLS AND FOUND RT REAR WHEEL BEARINGS RECALL M13 / NHTSA 12V-141 ON MY MODEL. CALLED THE DEALER WHO SAID MY CAR NOT INCLUDED . $60 CHECK OUT AND $500 REPAIR. TOOK IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE PAID $350 (ATTACHED). CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION,. NO WILLINGNESS TO CONSIDER ASSISTANCE. UNPROFESSIONAL DEALER ATTITUDE AND ONLY A SORRY FROM CHRYSLER.
TIPM MODULE HAS BEEN DEEMED DEFECTIVE BY MULTIPLE MECHANICS. I WAS INFORMED OF AN ACTIVE INVESTIGATION INTO THIS. VAN REFUSES TO START. HAVE NOT HAD VAN RUNNING IN TWO MONTHS NOW. REPLACED BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR TO ELIMINATE THOSE AS THE PROBLEM.
WHEN I'M DRIVING THE REAR HATCH OPENS I HAVE TO PULL OVER TO CLOSE , I HAVE REPLACED THIS ONCE IT COST ME $300.00 & IT IS DOING IT AGAIN THE MACHANIC SAID IT IS THE COMPUTER I CALLED WHERE I BOUGHT Y CAR THEY SAID NO RECALL , THE BACK HEATER ALSO SMELLS LIKE BURNING WIRES HAS STARED TO SMOKE ON ME AS WELL , , I HAVE TO TIE THE REAR DOOR AT THIS TIME WHICH STILL OPENS WHEN I AM DRIVING I HAVE MY GRANDBABIES IN THE CAR MAKES ME VERY WORRIED ON THIS
AFTER RECEIVING MULTIPLE CHECK ENGINE NOTIFICATIONS FOR "ENGINE MISFIRE", THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THAT ALL THE LIFTERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WE HAD THE WORK DONE, AND 1 YEAR LATER THE SAME CODES HAVE RETURNED.
AT 106000 MILES, THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT MAKING A LOUD NOISE. ACCORDING TO THE MECHANIC MAKING THE REPAIR, THE PARTS INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION WERE COMPLETELY DISINTEGRATED.
DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS INOPERABLE. OPENING USING BUTTONS, AND MANUALLY ATTEMPTING TO OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE WON'T WORK. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL AND DODGE CARAVANS. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY ON A CITY STREET THE FIRST TIME WE NOTICED IT.
I WAS TRAVELING THIS SATURDAY ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET AT 72 MILES PER HOUR. THE CAR WAS IN A SEVERE DOWNPOUR. I DISENGAGED THE CRUISE CONTROL WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL AND REDUCED MY SPEED TO 45 MILES PER HOUR. VISIBILITY WAS LIMITED. I WAS LOOKING FOR AN EXIT TO PULL OVER AND WAIT UNTIL THE THUNDERSTORM HAD PASSED. SINCE I WAS NOT USING THE CRUISE CONTROL, I PRESSED THE STOP BUTTON. THEN I PRESSED THE ON/OFF BUTTON. THE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT ON THE DASH DID NOT DISAPPEAR. IN WAS CONCENTRATING ON DRIVING, STAYING IN THE LANE AND AWAY FROM OTHER TRAFFIC. THE DOWNPOUR WAS INTENSE. I PRESSED THE ON/OFF BUTTON A SECOND TIME. TO MY AMAZEMENT AND CONCERN, THE CAR ENTERED OVERDRIVE AND BEGAN INCREASING SPEED RAPIDLY WHEN I WAS TRYING TO MAINTAIN MY BEARING AND SLOW REASONABLE SPEED. I AM AN EXPERIENCED DRIVER. ANY OTHER PERSON WOULD HAVE LIMITED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. QUITE POSSIBLY, RUNNING OFF THE ROAD INTO A DITCH OR TREE. A FEW WEEKS LATER, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TAIL LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KIMBERLY CAR CITY (625 W KIMBERLY ROAD, DAVENPORT, IA 52806, (563) 391-8300) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR BUMPER, MODULES, AND WIRING HARNESS CAUGHT FIRE DUE TO WATER EXPOSURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. A CHRYSLER ENGINEER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND CONCLUDED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT DUE TO A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAIR31876429. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
THIS VEHICLE RANDOMLY SHUTS ITSELF OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE PARKWAY OR ON OUR SUBURBAN STREETS. THE DASH GOES BLACK, THE STEERING WHEEL STIFFENS, AND THE POWER BRAKES BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO PRESS. IT'S COMPLETELY DEAD. PUTTING IT IN NEUTRAL AND TRYING TO RESTART DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. THE DASH AND ELECTRONICS REMAIN OFF. WE HAVE TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP, PUT IN PARK, AND THEN TRY SEVERAL TIMES TURNING THE IGNITION BEFORE THE ELECTRONICS COME BACK ON AND THE VEHICLE STARTS. TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE FAMILY IS IN THE VAN.
DRIVING VEHICLE 45MPH ON LEVELED ROAD, VEHICLE JOLTED, ENGINE DISABLED AND SHUT DOWN IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY CAUSING TRAFFIC BACKUP. TRY TO TURN VEHICLE BACK ON AND IGNITION RESTART WAS DISABLED. POWER REMAINED. NEITHER KEY OR KEY REMOTE WOULD RESTART VEHICLE.
WHEN REAR LIFT GATE BUTTON IS PUSHED, GATE LIFTS, THEN CLOSES AND DOES NOT STOP WITH RESISTANCE AND COULD CRUSH A PERSON.
MIDDLE FOLD & STORE SEAT DOES NOT RELEASE TO COLLAPSE INTO THE FLOOR BEHIND DRIVER. THE RELEASE WON'T WORK. PRIOR TO CURRENT PROBLEM SEAT DIDN'T GO INTO STORE POSITION WITH OUT A FIGHT. THE 3RD ROW FOLD DOWN SEAT, (DOUBLE SEAT), RETRACTABLE LEG LOCKS WON'T FOLD DOWN IN THE FLOOR POSITION. THEY STICK UP IN THE AIR. THE CABLE MECHANIZE ATTACHED TO A PLASTIC PIECE THAT HOLDS CABLE IN PLACE CAME APART WHILE FOLDING SEAT DOWN FOR STORAGE. THE PLASTIC PART HAS A CRACK IN IT WHERE CABLE BROKE THROUGH. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY AND WE WERE CLEANING THE CAR.
BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING. WARNING LIGHTS IN MIRRORS ARE ALWAYS LIT.
MY KEY FOB WILL NOT RELEASE FROM IGNITION AND VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY SHUTS DOWN. WHILE VEHICLE IS PLACED IN PARK AND I ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT DOWN ON ITS OWN. AT THIS POINT, I TRY TO REMOVE THE KEY AND IT BECOMES STUCK IN THE IGNITION. I, THEN, ATTEMPT TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON AND NOTHING HAPPENS...NO POWER! THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND I HAVE HAD AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TIME REMOVING THE KEY. IT'S AS THOUGH A "KILL SWITCH" HAS BEEN ACTIVATED AND MY VEHICLE DOESN'T HAVE A KILL SWITCH. I HAVE A NEW BATTERY AND MY ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME, EVEN WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN USE. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY HAVE DETERMINED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE SINCE NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. I HAVE ALSO RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE ONLINE AND THERE ARE WEBSITES AND MESSAGE BOARDS WITH HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY VEHICLES.
WHILE DRIVING MY TOWN & COUNTRY ON BOTH CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY THE ENGINE RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF TO INCLUDE ALL INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS ON THE DASH. AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP I SIMPLY TURN THE KEY TO TRY TO RE-START AND IT DOES. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH. I FINALLY TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE. THEY DID SOME SOFTWARE UPDATES AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. THE VERY NEXT DAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE DEALER SAID THAT IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. CATALYTIC CONVERTER? SERIOUSLY DOUBT THIS IS WHAT IS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN BE DEADLY.
OPENED PASSANGER SLIDING DOOR NOW IT STAYS OPEN AND WILL NOT CLOSE THE DOORS MELFUNCTIONING THE OTHER ONE SHUTS ON YOU AND SOMETIMES DOESN'T STOP LIKE THE SENSOR IS NOT PICKING UP SOMEONE IS BETWEEN IT POWER DOORS ARE NOT WORKING THE WAY THEY SHOULD AND I CAN'T DRIVE DOWN A HIGHWAY WITH CHILDREN AND WORRY ABOUT HAVING A DOOR OPEN VERY UNSAFE THE VAN IS PARKED AND CAN'T BE USED BECAUSE THE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE BY RAMOTE OR BUTTON OR EVEN HANDLE ITS STUCK OPEN
REAR LIFT GATE KEEPS OPENING ON ITS OWN WHILE PARKED.
TROUBLE STARTING THE CAR. YOU MAY HAVE TO TURN THE KEY A FEW TIMES BEFORE IT WILL CONNECT AND START. IT WOULD DIE ON US AT ANYTIME. I HAD THE CAR RUNNING AND WIGGLE THE KEY AND IT WOULD DIE. GARAGE SAID IT WAS A BAD WIRELESS ING.- KEY MODULE. THEY SAID IT WAS COVERED. IT HAPPENED MANY TIMES IN THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS.
IN MARCH 2018, I WENT TO PUT 7 PASSENGERS IN MY VAN AND THE PASSENGER (A CHILD) ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, THIRD ROW, OUTBOARD SEAT INFORMED ME THERE WAS NO BUCKLE IN THAT SEATING POSITION. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION I NOTICED THERE INDEED WAS NO BUCKLE, JUST A PIECE OF METAL STICKING UP WHERE THE BUCKLE SHOULD BE. I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE (I PURCHASED IT IN NOVEMBER 2017 USED) WHO INFORMED ME THAT I WOULD NEED TO WAIT UNTIL THEY WERE ABLE TO LOCATE ONE. THEY NEVER CALLED BACK. I WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALER WHERE I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE THE REPLACEMENT BUCKLE FOR AROUND $50; BUT WAS INFORMED I WOULD HAVE TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $120+ FOR THE BUCKLE TO BE INSTALLED. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER TODAY (5/16/18) AND SPOKE TO "NICK" WHO INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING CHRYSLER WOULD BE ABLE TO DO FOR ME BECAUSE THE CAR HAS MORE THAN 36,000 MILES AND I PURCHASED IT USED. I VOICED MY CONCERNS ABOUT THIS BEING A SAFETY ISSUE THAT CHRYSLER NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE AS IT WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO THE DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY OF AND INDIVIDUAL AND THAT SEATBELTS SHOULD LAST THE LIFETIME OF THE VEHICLE, NOT JUST 36,000 MILES! I WAS TOLD AGAIN, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AND THE CALL WAS ENDED.

NOW I HAVE TO LOCK IT MANUALLY, WHICH MEANS THAT IF I DON'T THEN THAT DOOR IS UNLOCKED WHILE DRIVING. I BELIEVE IT'S A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE TO NOT HAVE ANY CODES SHOW UP, THE DEALER AFTER REPLACING TIPM ( PARTS AND LABOR $1400), THEY CAN'T FIND ISSUE WHICH CAUSES A LARGE SAFETY CONCERN AS MY GIRLFRIEND AND CHILDREN ARE LEFT TO DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT CAN INTERMITTENTLY TURN OFF MID DRIVE . IT SEEMS MANUFACTURERS KNOW OF THIS PROBLEM BUT NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED NOR A FIX .
2012 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY 3/3 VEHICLE LIFT GATE WILL NOT RESPOND TO REMOTE PRIOR TO NEW TIPM INSTALLATION AND NEW REMOTE REPROGRAMMING. THE LIFT GATE HAS ALMOST SQUEEZED AND TRAPPED AN ADULT MY SIZE IN IT. IT STILL DOES THIS. THE DRIVER SEAT FUSE WILL CONSISTENTLY BURN OUT AND STOP WORKING THIS CAN BE CHANGED AS OFTEN AS DAILY OR EVERY TWO DAYS.

THIS CAN CAUSE VEHICLE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING OR HAVE A NON START SITUATION AS POWER IS NOT PROPERLY DELIVERED TO THE FUEL PUMP DUE TO RELAY FAILURE. THIS FAILURE OCCURRED IN THE 2012 TOWN & COUNTRY MODEL WHICH IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL FOR THE SAME YEAR.

TIPM FUEL PUMP RELAY CAUSED MOTOR STALL IN FRONT OF KINDERGARDEN. LUCKILY AT VERY LOW SPEED AND MY WIFE WAS ABLE TO STOP. THE FUEL PUMP RELAY AS PART OF THE TIPM IS CAUSING STARTING PROBLEMS AND COMPLETELY DRAINED BATTERY (FUEL PUMP SOMETIMES DOES NOT TURN OFF AT NIGHTS) AS WELL.
THE VEHICLE, FROM THE TIME I BOUGHT IT, HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING IT FOR NO REASON. IT HAS 68K MILES ON IT AND IT'S HAPPENED 7 TIMES. THE DEALERSHIP CAN NOT DUPLICATE THIS PROBLEM BUT AT THIS POINT, IT'S VERY UNSAFE. THE LAST TIME IT OCCURRED I WAS GETTING INTO THE LEFT LANE TO MAKE A LEFT ON A VERY BUSY ROAD AND THE CAR JUST STOPPED. NO POWER STEERING, NOTHING. STALLED. IMAGINE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS ROAD WITH NO STEERING AND NO GAS? EXTREMELY UNSAFE. THIS CAR IS A LEMON. DODGE NEEDS TO TAKE THIS CAR OFF THE ROAD. A FAMILY IS GOING TO BE KILLED IN IT. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER TRYED TO BOOST THE VAN UP AND IT STARTED THEN DIED AGAIN SO WE HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED IN. WE CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY DIDN'T HELP AT ALL BUT TO TELL US TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHICH THEY WAS CLOSED SO I FIXED IT MY SELF AND ALL IT WAS IS A BAD ALTERNATOR.THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF WARNING WHEN THIS STUFF IS GOING TO HAPPEN BECAUSE IT WAS A SCARY SITUATION AT A HIGH SPEED WITH YOUR FAMILY WITH YOU.
