TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY WITH SHIFTING TO AND FROM SECOND GEAR, AND THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT WARNING. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION SEALS, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE A REMEDY TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT SOLUTION. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO PROGRESS AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MARTIN DODGE JEEP CHRYSLER RAM (2209 SCOTTSVILLE RD, BOWLING GREEN, KY 42104-4105, (270) 846-0600) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER REPLACED THE COMPUTER ONCE, BUT THE COMPUTER FAILED AGAIN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WAS REQUIRED AND THE PART MAY NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THE COMPUTER AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY TURNED IN FRONT OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE AND CAUSED A COLLISION. THE CONTACT'S AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL. ON THE DAY OF THE CRASH, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WAS ALSO SERVICED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE CONTACT AND HIS PASSENGER AND THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE WHERE IT WAS INSPECTED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
APPROX., DECEMBER 2017 (DONT REMEMBER EXACT DATE) MY TIRE SENSOR GAUGE KEPT COMING ON BUT THE TIRE IT INDICATED THAT HAD LOW AIR WAS NOT THE CORRECT TIRE. NOW FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS IT IS ON EVERYTIME I START AND DRIVE MY CAR AND SHOWS THAT THE TWO PASSENGER TIRES ARE LOW (FRONT 24 PSI AND BACK 0 PSI) BUT NEITHER TIRE IS FLAT OR LOW ON AIR, IN FACT NONE OF MY TIRES ARE LOW BUT I CANNOT TRUST WHAT TIRE THE GAUGE TELLS ME BECAUSE IT HAS NEVER BEEN ACCURATE SINCE IT BEGAN COMING ON AT THE END OF 2017. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM OR IS THERE A WAY TO FIX IT SO IT CALCULATES THE CORRECT TIRES?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT HEARD A BANGING NOISE UNDERNEATH THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 62,000.
A BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON MY DASH, A FEW MINUTES LATER SEVERAL INDICATOR FLASHED ON (THE ABS, THE BRAKE, AND ESP/BAS FLASHED ON AND MY VEHICLE POWERED OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS EXTREMELEY DANGEROUS AND HAVE BEEN READING THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM ON DODGE MODELS. HOW CAN THIS BE CORRECTED?! IF THIS IS A REPEAT PROBLEM, WHY ISN'T IT YET A RECALL? THE CAR IS JUST SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING WITH NO WARNING.
THERE IS A SMELL OF RAW FUEL INSIDE THE VEHICLE. SMELL COMES THROUGH THE AIR VENTS WHILE PARKED AND DRIVING. ALL THE TIME>
THE 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION AT 47,000 MILES IS HAVING A VERY HARD TIME SHIFTING INTO AND OUT OF GEAR AT IDLE. WITH CLUTCH PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR IT WILL NOT GO INTO OR OUT OF FIRST GEAR OR REVERSE. AFTER GETTING IT INTO GEAR AND DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FINE. THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE CLUTCH AND GREASE USED ON THIS YEAR MODEL
TAMARA INFLATOR. ELECTRONIC WINDOW CIRCUIT, POWER STEERING, CRITICAL COOLANT OVERFLOW
I WAS GOING ABOUT 50 MILES PER HOUR ON A BUSY FREEWAY WHEN MY ABS LIGHT TURNED ON LIGHTS IN THE PANEL START TO FLICKER AND ENGINE SHUTS OFF. THIS IS ONE OF MANY OCCURANCES ENGINE HAS SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP UNDER MY MOPAR SERVICE CONTRACT AND THEY REPLACED ALTERNATOR. ONE MONTH LATER ENGINE TURNS OFF AGAIN. 5 SEPARATE OCCASIONS.
MY 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER SRT8 COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE ENGINE TURNS OFF AND I LOSE POWER STEERING. IT DOES THIS REPEATEDLY WHILE DRIVING AT ALL SPEEDS. ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WORK WHEN THIS HAPPENS BUT THE POWER STEERING MAKES IT VERY HARD TO TURN THE VEHICLE WHICH MAKES IT VERY DANGEROUS IN TRAFFIC OR ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK PRESS MY IGNITION START BUTTON TO TURN THE CAR COMPLETELY TO THE OFF POSITION AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS THAT ILLUMINATE AFTER THIS HAPPENS SO THE DODGE DEALER DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED MY ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT HAS ILLUMINATED AND MY ESP, TRACTION CONTROL AND ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WAS DISABLED AND HASN'T BEEN ENABLED. AFTER STARTING THE CAR THE ESP, TC AND ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATE AND STAY ON. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DODGE DEALER THREE TIMES AND THEY HAVE SAID THAT THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THERE ARE NO TROUBLE CODES OR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE THAT THOUSANDS OF OWNERS OF DODGE CHALLENGERS ARE EXPERIENCING WITH THE SAME RESULT THAT THE DODGE SERVICE DEPARTMENTS CAN NOT FIND OR DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS RANDOM ENGINE SHUT OFF HAS HAPPENED AROUND 40 TIMES. IT'S HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY IN MOTION AT SPEEDS OF 75 MPH ON THE CITY STREET FROM 30-50 MPH AND WHEN LEAVING AN INTERSECTION AFTER THE STOP LIGHT TURNS GREEN LEAVING ME STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION IN DANGER OF BIENG HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IT HAS ALSO HAPPENED WHILE TURNING IN A INTERSECTION AND THE VEHICLE STOPPING WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC HEADING TOWARDS MY VEHICLE. I HAVE NEARLY BEEN HIT NUMEROUS TIMES DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE PROOF OF MY VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE WITH NO LUCK AS TO WHAT THE DANGEROUS PROBLEM IS.

CAR SHUTS OFF WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN
THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE WHEN I UNLOCK THE DOOR WHEN I TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND WHEN I JUST OPEN THE DOOR IT CLICKS ABOUT 20-25 TIME OH YES AND WHEN I ADJUST THE TEMPERATURE TO A COLDER SETTING IT IS VERY ANNOYING I HAVE T NOTICED ANYTHING ELSE
ON A NORMAL LEFT TURN THE ENGINE STALLED.
GASOLINE LEAKING AROUND FUEL PUMP UNDER THE BACKSEAT INSIDE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. LEAKING UNDERNEATH VEHICLE IN FRONT OF REAR PASSENGER TIRE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING IN DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL THE GAS TANK. THE SMELL/FUMES ARE OVERWHELMING INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND THERE IS A POOL OF GASOLINE ON MY DRIVEWAY. UPON RESEARCH, THIS IS A VERY COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH DODGE VEHICLES WITH NO SAFETY RECALL. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR CLOSE TO A YEAR WITH NO HELP FROM DEALERSHIPS.
MY CAR LOST COMPLETE POWER WHILE TURNING IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. THE VEHICLE IS DEAD AND WILL NOT START. THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WITH NO WARNING. THIS IS A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER HAVING A TIMING CHAIN RECALL REPAIR. DID THE CHAIN FAIL ANYWAY?
CAR STARTING SMELLING STRONGLY OF GASOLINE AFTER FILLING TANK. THE SMELL MAKES YOU VERY LIGHT HEADED AND IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I PARKED THE CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY AND GAS IS DRIPPING FROM 2 SPOTS IN FRONT OF THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE. I AM AFRAID TO START IT TO DRIVE IT TO A DEALER THINKING IT WILL CATCH ON FIRE. I HAVE CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO COME AND TAKE IT TO A DEALER. I AM TRYING TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT SO NOT ONE COMES AROUND IT WITH A CIGARETTE OR OTHER SOURCE OF IGNITION. MY HOUSE AND 2 GARAGES ARE IN DANGER OF THE LEAKING GAS UNTIL I CAN GET THE CAR TOWED AWAY FROM MY PROPERTY.
TAKATA AIRBAG, FUEL SYSTEM, KEY MODULE, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE CAR STALLED WHILE IT WAS STATIONARY I HAD IT TOWED TO DODGE AND THEY SAID THE FUEL PUMPS WE'RE BAD, GOT FUEL PUMPS CHANGED CAR STILL WON'T START. THE LIGHTS IN THE INTERIOR WON'T COME ON, THE DOORS LOCKED AND UNLOCK OUT OF THE BLUE, THE KEY IS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. MY VIN SHOWS RECALLS BUT THERE ARE OTHER RECALLS FOR YR MK AND MODEL BUT NOT LISTED UNDER MY VIN HOWEVER MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES
ONE OF THE TWO FUEL PUMPS IN MY 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER HAD SOME SORT OF CRACK AND STARTED LEAKING. IT HAS RIGHT OVER 60,000 MILES ON IT. WE KEEP THIS CAR IN THE GARAGE ATTACHED TO ARE HOME. WE CAME HOME ONE DAY RIGHT AFTER WE FILLED THE GAS TANK UP ON THE CAR AND WE SMELLED GAS WHEN WE CAME HOME THAT DAY AND WE THOUGHT IT WAS ON ELF THE OTHER THINGS IN THE GARAGE SO WE REMOVED THAT THING. THE NEXT MORNING WE WOKE UP AND THE SMELL CAME IN THE HOUSE SO I WENT ONLINE AND STARTED LOOKING UP GAS SMELLS FROM 2010 CHALLENGER AND FOUND A FORUM OF CHALLENGER CAR OWNERS FROM 2009-2012 AND THEY ALL SAID IT WAS THEIR FUEL PUMP LEAKING SO I WENT HOME AND HOPED THE SWEAT UP AND COVER AND SHARE ENOUGH THE FUEL PUMP WAS LEAKING GAS AND IT WAS DRIPPING ALL OVER AND RUNNING DON THE TANK WE REMOVED THE CAR FROM THE GARAGE AND IT NEVER WENT AWAY WE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND SAID IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND WOULD NOT HELP US EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A FAULT IN THE PUMPS IN THE CARS.

TRIED TO START THE CAR AND ALL THE DASH LIGHTS, INTERIOR LIGHTS AND RADIO WORKED JUST FINE. GOT SOMEONE TO GIVE ME A JUMP AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP SO I WENT AND BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND THAT WORKED FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS THEN THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS TIME I TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP AND AFTER 2 1/2 DAYS THEY SAY IT'S THE TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE, OR THE TIPM.
2010 DODGE CHALLENGER SRT8 LIMITED EDITION (SRT8). THE SRT8'S TIRES LOSE AIR PRESSURE (5-10 POUNDS) WHENEVER A POTHOLE'S IS ENCOUNTERED OR GOING OVER A CURB LIP GREATER THAN ONE (1) INCH. DEALERSHIPS THAT PROVIDE AUTHORIZED FACTORY SERVICE HAVE TOLD ME THAT TIRE PRESSURE LOSS IS NORMAL AS THE SRT8 HAS FACTORY (OEM) ALUMINUM WHEELS THAT DEVELOP CRACKS IN THE CENTER OF THE WHEELS/RIMS FROM NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THIS IS DEEMED UNACCEPTABLE AS THE SRT8 DOES NOT COME EQUIPPED WITH A SPARE TIRE AND THE TIRE INFLATOR KIT PROVIDED BY DODGE DOES NOT SEAL THE FACTORY (OEM) SRT8 ALUMINUM WHEELS/RIMS WHEN IT IS CRACKED. TIRE AIR PRESSURE LOSS OCCURS DRIVING AT NORMAL ROADWAY SPEEDS AS WELL AS UNDER 15 MILES PER HOUR TRAVELLING OVER DRIVEWAY AND, E.G., SHOPPING MALL ENTRANCES, CHANGES IN PAVEMENT GRADE, ETC.

MY PASSENGER AIRBAG DASH LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND I HAVE SEEN RECALLS ONLINE BUT WHEN I PUT IN MY VIN IT SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL. I PURCHASED THE CAR IN FEBRUARY 2015 BUT THE LIGHT CAME ON IN 2017 AND MY MECHANIC SAID THERE WAS A RECALL BUT WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL. I HAVE BEEN CHECKING FOR A RECALL SPECIFICALLY FOR MY CAR BUT I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN IT, EVEN THOUGH THE YEAR AND MODEL OF MY CAR HAS HAD A RECALL AND I AM CURIOUS AS TO WHY.

HELLO! HARD SHIFTING 6SPEED MANUAL: I HAVE BEEN HAVING SHIFTING PROBLEMS WITH MY MANUAL TRANS FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS. IT STARTED BACK IN NOV 11 WHEN TRAVELING OUT OF TOWN,GOT STUCK IN TRAFFIC AND CLUTCH STARTED TO NOT DISINGAUGE ALL THE WAY (WOULD CREEP) HAD TO HOLD FOOT ON BRAKE OR PUT IN NEUTRAL EVEN AFTER PULLING OFF THE ROAD. LATTER WHEN COMING HOME BAKED INTO PARKING SPACE TURN KEY OFF WANTED TO PUT IN OTHER GEAR WAS VERY HARD TO PULL OUT OF REVERSE. HAS GOTTEN WORSE, IT IS GETTING HARDER TO SHIFT WHILE DRIVING. MY WIFE WENT TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY AND HAD VERY HARD TIME GOING INTO LOWER GEAR ALMOST GETTING HIT IN THE REAR.DODGE SAYS WORN CLUTCH,BUT IT DOESN'T SLIP, BUT THEY HAVE A NOTICE ABOUT GREASE BEING ON INPUT SPLINE THATS THE CLUTCH SLIDES ON GETTING DIRTY FROM TO MUCH GREASE AND DIRT, MAKING THE DISC STICK NOT FULLY DISENGAGING. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT,ASSEMBLING LINE DEFECT NOT MINE. BEEN TO TWO DEALERS AND ASK 4 ABOUT THE PROBLEM.
OWNER VEHICLE ELECTRICAL ISSUE CAR WILL START AND AFTER 10 OF 15 MINUTES OF USE WILL NOT RE-START . FIAT CHRYLSER AMERICA'S RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER (18008531403) IS JUST AN ANSWERING SERVICE WITH NO ACTUAL INFORMATION ABOUT AVAILABILITY OF PARTS AND ABOUT LIMITS TO HOW MANY PARTS A DEALER CAN ORDER. BUT THE REPRESENTATIVE MARK FROM THE RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER SAYS PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO BE ORDERED. MY LOCAL DEALER, NYLE MAXWELL SUPERCENTER, SAYS THAT FIAT CHRYSLER ONLY ALLOWS THEM TO ORDER 10 AT A TIME, AND THE 10 PARTS THEY HAVE ON HAND ARE ALREADY SCHEDULED TO BE USED FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S VEHICLES. THERE'S NO WAY TO FIND OUT WHY FIAT CHRYSLER ONLY ALLOWS THEM TO ORDER 10 AT A TIME, AND NYLE MAXWELL SUPERCENTER CLAIMS THERE'S NO WAY TO SPECIAL ORDER THE PART THAT I NEED, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE PART IS AVAILABLE.
GAS TANK STARTED TO EMIT VAPOR AND LEAK FUEL FROM PASSENGER SIDE AFTER FUELING. AT 3/4 OF A TANK THIS IS VISIBLE FUEL SPOT BENEATH THE VEHICLE. THIS LEAK IS CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST PIPES.

AIR VENT DOOR MOTORS NOT OPENING AND CLOSING PROPERLY BLOWING HOT AIR ONE SIDE AND COLD AIR OTHER SIDE. MAKING NOISE UNDER DASH. REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT THE MALFUNCTION IS THE DOOR BLOWER MOTOR VENT CONTROL TEMP, VENTS MOTORS CAME APART WHICH MEANS THE WHOLE UNDER CARRIAGE NEEDS TAKEN OUT INCLUDING CENTER CONSOLE. RESEARCH SHOW A ON GOING PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL . THIS HAS HAPPEN TWICE AND IS VERY COSTLY.
UPON STARTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOPLIGHT THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN & THE BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK. THEIR WAS A VEHICLE STOPPED AT THE NEXT INTERSECTION (4 WAY STOP). TO AVOID HITTING THEM I WENT TO THE RIGHT OF THE STOP SIGN. THERE WAS JUST ENOUGH ROOM IN BETWEEN THE STOP SIGN & A TELEPHONE POLE. A MAN CAME OUT OF THE HOUSE & ASKED ME WAS I OK. I TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED & LET HIM KNOW MY HUSBAND WAS ON THE WAY. I FOLLOWED HIM IN HIS CAR (TOYOTA) & WE MADE IT TO THE DEALER WITHOUT ANY OTHER INCIDENT. WE CALLED CHRYSLER CORPORATION & THEY OPENED UP A CASE FILE (29522357) TRYING TO GET INFORMATION FROM CHRYSLER, MY HUSBAND LEFT MULTIPLE MESSAGES FOR THEM TO GET THE STATUS ON THIS. HE FINALLY GOT THEM & THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM & THEY WERE CLOSING THE CASE. I WAS CHARGED 130.00 FROM THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST. NOW I HAVE A CAR THAT I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE & CAN'T CONSCIENTIOUSLY SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE.

PURCHASED NEW IN 11/2010. 2 YEARS INTO OWNERSHIP, ON ABOUT 4 OCCURANCES, ENGINE WOULD SHUT OFF, LOOSE STEERING CONTROL AND BRAKES AT THE SAME TIME WHILE MAKING A SLOW RIGHT HAND TURN. PROBLEM DISAPPEARED AND THOUGHT IT WAS A FLUKE OF SOME KIND. NOW 3 YEARS LATER IT HAS STARTED DOING IT AGAIN EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT. WHEN THE ENGINE DIES YOU CAN BARELY STEER AND HAVE TO REALLY PULL HARD ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO KEEP FROM GOING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. BRAKES DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY EITHER, YOU LOOSE ALL POWER BRAKING AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO STOP. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR THIS ISSUE EXTENSIVELY. WHAT I HAVE FOUND IS ABOUT A HUNDRED OTHER DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS ON SEVERAL FORUM SITES DESCRIBING EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. NOBODY HAD AN ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM AND FOUND JUST AS MANY DIFFERENT THINGS THAT PEOPLE SAID WERE WRONG RANGING FROM ECM FAILURE TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT MODULES AND LOOSE CONNECTIONS. WHEN IT FIRST STARTED IT WOULD ONLY OCCUR WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN. NOW IT DOES IT AT ANY TIME NO MATTER WHETHER SITTING IN A PARKING LOT OR DRIVING ON THE STREET. YOU HAVE TO TURN THE KEY ALL THE WAY OFF AND THEN TURN IT BACK ON TO START IT AND THERE IS ALWAYS A DELAY FROM THE TIME YOU DO THAT TILL THE TIME IT RESPONDS. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE AND A RECALL SHOULD BE DONE AS SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITHOUT IT EVER BEING CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD WHAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM.

I HAD A TAKATA DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG RECALLED AND REPLACED. SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, PERHAPS A YEAR, I RECEIVED VIA MAIL A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG; HOWEVER, THERE WERE NO AVAILABLE PARTS TO FIX IT. I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.
