Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THE WINDOW DOES NOT STOP GOING UP AND DOWN AND IT DRAINS THE BATTERY. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED AND TURNED OFF. IT WILL DO IT EVERY 30-45 SECONDS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHALLENGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WINDOW OPENED AND CLOSED INTERMITTENTLY CAUSING THE BATTERY TO FAIL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE FAILURE FIRST OCCURRED, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ATLANTIC CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM DEALER, (555 SUNRISE HWY, WEST ISLIP, NY 11795, (631) 422-0123) WHERE THE DOOR LATCH MODULE WAS REPLACED. HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD TO GO THROUGH THE TRUNK TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,668.
MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 7,000 MILES AND I'VE NOTICE THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WITH A LARGE NUMBER OF SMALL CHIPS. I'M WONDERING IF THE WINDSHIELD IS DEFECTIVE AND WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF SOMETHING LARGER HITS THE GLASS WILL IT BREAK EASIER. I DRIVE THE SAME WAY TO WORK AND MY OTHER VEHICLE WHICH HAS 40,000 DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THIS. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
