WHEN FILLING THE FUEL TANK, A LARGE QUANTITY OF FUEL SPEWS OUT AT THE END. THIS STARTED ~6 MONTHS AGO, AND NOW HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE TANK IS FILLED. IT HAS HAPPENED AT A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS / PUMPS. THIS APPEARS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE AS DESCRIBED IN A 2005 DURANGO RECALL, HOWEVER 2006 VEHICLES ARE NOT COVERED IN THE RECALL. ALL EQUIPMENT IS ORIGINAL (NO PARTS REPLACED). *TR
WHEN FUELLING AT A GAS STATION, GAS OVERFLOWS WHEN THE TANK IS FULL (WHEN THE GAS PUMP CLICKS OFF). THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I TRY TO FILL THE TANK. GAS OVERFLOWS ONTO SIDE OF VEHICLE AND ONTO PAVEMENT AT GAS STATION. FUEL SPILL HAZARD IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. GAS STATIONS ARE STARTING TO WARN ME THAT I CANNOT CAUSE A FUEL SPILL. DODGE CLAIMS THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM. RECALL URGENTLY NEEDED BEFORE MAJOR CATASTROPHE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE ADDED GASOLINE TO THE FUEL TANK IT WOULD OVER FLOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED HIM THEY WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE ENTIRE FUEL TANK IN ORDER TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WHEN MY FUEL TANK IS EMPTY AND I REFILL THE TANK, AFTER THE PUMP CLICKS OFF GAS POURS OUT OF THE TANK. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 7 WEEKS. ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE IT DOESN'T START BUT CONTINUES TO TURN ITSELF OVER AND OVER EVEN AFTER THE KEY IS SHUT OFF. THIS HAPPENS SPORADICALLY AND DODGE REFUSES TO FIX EITHER ONE ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, BECAUSE IT CANNOT BE DUPLICATED AT THE SHOP. *TR
FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS, EVERY TIME I FILL UP MY GAS TANK, WHEN I REMOVE THE NOZZLE FROM THE TANK GASOLINE OVERFLOWS ON THE SIDE OF MY VEHICLE AND THE GROUND. AT FIRST, I THOUGHT IT MUST BE A PROBLEM WITH THE PUMP AT THE GAS STATION, BUT I REPORTED IT TO MY DEALER DURING MY LAST OIL CHANGE, AND HE SAID MY GANK TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *TR
I HAVE READ COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER 06 DURANGO OWNERS OF MY PROBLEM. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE 05 MODEL BUT NOT THE 06. MY GAS TANK OVERFLOWS ON ME AND DOWN THE SIDE OF MY CAR AND TO THE GROUND. I FEEL THIS IS UNSAFE IN MULTIPLE WAYS AND FEEL THAT DODGE SHOULD ADDRESS IT. *TR
THE FUEL TANK ON MY DODGE DURANGO SPEWS GAS OUT ONTO THE VEHICLE AND PAVEMENT AT THE END OF FILLING UP THE GAS TANK. THIS BEGAN OCCURRING ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL UP. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE GAS COULD IGNITE, PLUS IT IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD. MY LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP (ROGER WILLIAMS DODGE) IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM, I FIND THIS IS A WIDESPREAD ISSUE WITH DURANGOS. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A FACTORY DEFECT. I WANT THE GAS TANK REPLACED IMMEDIATELY ON MY VEHICLE. *TR

ON MY 2006 DODGE DURANGO, EVERY TIME I FILL UP TO WHERE THE GAS NOZZLE CLICKS IT SPEWS FUEL ALL OVER THE PLACE. IT IS USUALLY UNDER A QUART, BUT IT HAS REPEATEDLY CAUSED SOME SCARY CIRCUMSTANCES AS TO WHERE I FEARED FOR MY SAFETY. *TR
FUEL SPILLS OUT OF THE GAS TANK WHEN FINISHED FILLING UP. I CALLED DODGE ON 10/28/2009 TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL. DODGE SAID THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT ONLY ON THE 2005 MODELS, NOT THE 2006 MODELS. THEY GAVE ME A CASE # AND TOLD ME TO GET IT CHECKED OUT BY MY DEALERSHIP. WHEN I GOT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME TO LOOK AT IT. I THOUGHT THAT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER I SEE OVER 270 COMPLAINTS HERE ON THE D.O.T. WEBSITE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE. I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE ECCO FRIENDLY VAPOR LOCKING GAS PUMPS DO NOT WORK ON MY DURANGO WHEN GAS COMES SPRAYING OUT THE FUEL FILLER NECK ALL OVER THE TRUCK, GROUND, AND ANYTHING NEAR IT INCLUDING PEOPLE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED AND I HOPE IT ISN'T MY 16 YR. OLD SON WHO JUST GOT HIS LICENSE. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS DEFECT OF THE FUEL CHECK VALVE AND THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO THE 2006 MODELS AS WELL. I WILL BE TAKING VIDEOS OF MY NEXT SEVERAL FILL-UPS AS EVIDENCE. HOW MANY COMPLAINTS DOES IT TAKE TO GET SOME ACTION?

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE DURANGO. WHENEVER THE CONTACT FILLS UP HIS FUEL TANK, GASOLINE SPILLS OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE DEALER STATED THAT A NEW FUEL TANK WAS NEEDED. THROUGH ONLINE RESEARCH, THE CONTACT FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME FAILURE HE WAS EXPERIENCING. HE BELIEVES A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE ADDING FUEL IT BEGAN TO SPILL OUT FROM THE FILLER NECK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED NOT TO REFUEL TO CAPACITY. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO RECUR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK AND CONNECTOR HOSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
VEHICLE IS A 2006 DODGE DURANGO LTD 4WD VEHICLE'S ENGINE DIES AT LOW SPEEDS EITHER WHILE TURNING OR BRAKING. HAS OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. ENGINE ALWAYS STARTS UP AGAIN AFTER OCCURRENCE. WHEN THIS OCCURS THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND WILL STAY ON FOR A PERIOD OF TIME (TIME HAS VARIED FROM HOURS TO DAYS) BUT WILL THEN GO OFF. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED I BROUGHT IT TO A FIRESTONE DEALERSHIP WHO CHECK THE CAR, CHECKED THE ERROR ON THE COMPUTER AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE LIGHT. SINCE THE WARNING ERROR WAS NOT SPECIFIC NOTHING MORE WAS DONE. SINCE THAT TIME, IT HAS OCCURRED ON AT LEAST TWO MORE OCCASIONS AND HAS NEARLY CAUSED WRECKS BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. *TR
WHEN EVER YOU TRY AND FILL THE GAS TANK, WHEN IT GET FULL IT BLOWS ALL OVER THE PLACE. YOU TRY AND CLEAN IF OFF BUT IT STILL HAS RUINED THE PAINT AND A COUPLE PAIR OF GLOVES, THAT SMELL NEVER COMES OUT OF CLOTHES. THIS ALL STARTED AT OR AROUND 40,000 MILES AND HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH IT FOR 110,000 MILES NOW.

THIS IS GETTING TO BE RIDICULOUS, I HAVE HAD TO COME HOME AND CHANGE CLOTHES BECAUSE OF THE FUEL SPILL. SEAT BELTS CANNOT HANDLE STRESS WHEN THEY ARE USED TO INSTALL A CHILD'S CAR SEAT. THE PLASTIC LOCKING CLIP HAS BEEN BROKEN, REPLACED, AND REBROKEN. *TR
MY 2006 DODGE DURANGO CAUGHT ON FIRE FOUR WEEKS AGO WHILE MY GIRLFRIEND WAS DRIVING IT. THE TRUCK HAD ONLY BEEN RUNNING A TOTAL OF TENS. IT APPEARED TO HAVE STARTED ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE TRUCK. ONCE I DISCOVERED THE RECALL ON THE TRUCK FOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL OVERHEATING, I CONTACTED CHRYSLER, AND THEY SENT A LOCAL CONTRACTED INSPECTOR OUT TO TAKE PICTURE. THEN A WEEK LATER THEY SENT ME A LETTER STATING THAT THEY WERE NOT AT FAULT, AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR ME. *TR
HI, MY NAME IS [XXX] , AND I NEED SOME HELP. JANUARY 9TH 2007 I PURCHASED A 2006 DODGE DURANGO FROM BUDDY JONES FORD IN GREENWOOD MISSISSIPPI. ON MAY 31ST 2008, THE TRUCK BURN TO THE GROUND. THIS OCCURRED WHILE MY GIRLFRIEND WAS DRIVING IT; SHE BARELY MADE IT OUT OF THE TRUCK IN TIME. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS AT A LOST OF UNDERSTANDING HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPEN. SO I IMMEDIATELY STARTED SURF THE INTERNET TO FIND INFORMATION ABOUT THIS BRAND OF VEHICLE. I DISCOVERED THAT THIS PARTICULAR SUV HAD AN INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER THAT WOULD OVERHEAT AND SOMETIMES IGNITE INTO FLAMES. I ALSO DISCOVERED THAT THERE WERE MANY OTHER CONSUMERS THAT HAD EXPERIENCED THEY'RE DODGE DURANGO'S BURNING TO GROUND, WHILE JUST SITTING IN THE GARAGE. SO I THEN CONTACTED CHRYSLER TO PLEAD MY CASE. AT THIS TIME THEY TOLD ME ABOUT THE RECALL, AND THAT MY VEHICLE WAS ONE OF THE VEHICLES IN QUESTION. THEN THEY AGREED TO SEND A LOCAL CONTRACTED INSPECTOR TO CHECK OUT MY VEHICLE. THE CONCLUSION OF HIS INSPECTION WAS THAT THE TRUCK BURNED THROUGH NO FAULT OF CHRYSLER'S DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES TO PROVE THEM WRONG, OR HAVE IT INSPECTED MYSELF. MY INSURANCE HAD LAPSED AT THAT TIME, AND I KNOW THAT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY. BUT NOW I AM STUCK WITH A TRUCK THAT IS NOT USABLE, AND THE COMPANY THAT FINANCED IT IS LOOKING FOR THEY'RE MONTHLY PAYMENT. WITH I CAN NOT AFFORD BECAUSE I HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO GET BACK AND FORWARD TO WORK. SO I HAVE DONE A VOLUNTEER REPOSSESSION AND THEY WILL PICK THE TRUCK UP SOON. ONCE THEY GET IT I STILL WILL BE FORCED TO PAY FOR IT THROUGH GARNISHMENT, WHICH I CAN'T AFFORD. IN THE OTHER CASES IN WHICH THIS SAME TRUCK BURNED TO THE GROUND, CHRYSLER DETERMINED THAT IT WAS NOT THEY'RE FAULT EVEN WITH SUCH A RECALL ON THEM. VEHICLES DO NOT JUST BURN UP FOR NO REASON, SO PLEASE HELP DEAL WITH CHRYSLER. ALSO, I DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE UNTIL JUNE 16, 2008. WITH OUR 2006 DODGE DURANGO, THERE IS A SHAKE OF THE TRANSMISSION BETWEEN 40-50 MILES AN HOUR. WE FIRST TOOK THE TRUCK IN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP WITH THIS PROBLEM AND A LEAK THEY REPLACED THE FRONT END DIFFERENTIAL. AFTER THIS THERE HAVE BEEN 3 TRANSMISSION LEAKS THAT THEY HAVE REPAIRED. THE TRUCK CONTINUES TO HAVE THE SAME SHAKING SO WE TOOK IT TO ANOTHER CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. WITH THIS DEALERSHIP, THEY WENT ON A TEST DRIVE WITH US AND WERE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE THE SHAKING. IT IS NOTED THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH OUR VEHICLE AND WHEN CALLING THE CHRYSLER STAR CENTER THEY SAY THAT THIS IS THE WAY THE TRUCK IS DESIGNED AND THERE IS NO CURRENT FIX FOR THE PROBLEM! WE WERE TOLD BY THE CHRYSLER DISTRICT MANAGER THAT WE NEED TO WAIT FOR CHRYSLER TO MAKE A FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. THEY SAY THAT THE SHAKING WILL NOT CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS, BUT AS I SAID EARLIER, WE HAVE HAD MULTIPLE TRANSMISSION LEAKS. WHEN WE WERE CONTACTED ABOUT EXTENDING OUR WARRANTY, WE WERE DENIED DUE TO THERE BEING A CLAIM AGAINST CHRYSLER. BECAUSE OF THE SHAKING OF THE TRUCK, WE ARE UNABLE TO PULL OUR TRAVEL TRAILER THAT IS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS VEHICLE. WHEN WE DID DRIVE THE TRUCK PULLING THE TRAILER THAT IS MUCH LESS THAN THE TOWING CAPACITY OF THE VEHICLE, IT SHAKES BAD ENOUGH TO SHAKE CUPS OUT OF THE HOLDERS. WE NOW HAVE TO USE SOMEONE ELSE'S VEHICLE TO PULL OUR CAMPER. *TR
FUEL FILLER TUBE OVERFLOWS AFTER FUEL PUMP AT THE GAS STATION HITS THE AUTO SHUT-OFF POINT. NOTIFIED DEALER WHO SAID THEY HADN'T HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT A PROBLEM LIKE THAT, BUT OFFERED TO LOOK INTO IT FOR A CHARGE. APPROXIMATELY 1-2 CUPS OF FUEL SHOOTS OUT OF THE FILLER TUBE EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS FILLED. THE FUEL SPRAYS OVER WHOMEVER IS FILLING THE VEHICLE AND IS RUINING THE PAINT AROUND THE FILLER TUBE. THERE IS AN EXTREME FIRE/EXPLOSION DANGER AS WELL AS POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGE TO EYES, LUNGS, AND SKIN. THIS IS ALSO DAMAGING TO THE ENVIRONMENT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO REFUEL THE VEHICLE, GASOLINE WOULD SPILL BACK OUT ONTO THE GROUND OR THE CONTACT'S CLOTHING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 103,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.
VEHICLE RAN HOT ON THIS DATE,FOLLWING THE NEXT DAY ITSHOWED NO PROBLEM. FOR THE PAST 2 YEAR AT A STAND STILL FOR ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES VEHICLE GAGE MONITOR IS GOING UP SHOWING SIGNS OF RUNNING HOT. I WOULD IMEDIATELY SHUT THE ENGINE OFF FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE. THEN CRANK BACK UP. THE GAGE WOULD GO DOWN BACK TO NORMAL STATUS. IF I COME TO ANOTHER STOP AT A STOP LIGHT IT WILL GO UP AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE TO THE SHOP SEVERAL TIMES TO GET IT CHECKED, ACCESSOR FINDS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. IT'S A FUNNY THING WINTER MONTHS MY SUV WOULD NEVER RUN HOT. HERE IN SOUTH CAROLINA IT IS GETTING HOT AND THE PROBLEM HAS NOW STARTED AGAIN. I HAVE HAD 3 TO 4 INCIDENTS WITH MY VEHICLE RUNNING HOT 2015 AND IS SURE MORE ARE TO COME. AS USUAL I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF TO MAKE THE GAGE GO BACK TO NORMAL. AND YES THE RUNNING HOT LIGHT DOES COME ON. WE JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON. PURCHASED 2006 DODGE DURANGO JUNE, 2007 AUGUST, 2007-VEHICLE STARTED VIOLENTLY JERKING -ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON-WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CAM SENSOR. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ALSO DEFECTIVE AND REPLACED. ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, CAUSING DOOR LOCKS TO MALFUNCTION REPLACED. DECEMBER 6, 2007, CAR JERKING AGAIN-ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON - DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP - WAS TOLD IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION- FRONT PUMP AND TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACED. DECEMBER 18, 2007 MILEAGE NOT READING ACCURATELY-TOLD THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER THAT WAS INSTALLED IN AUGUST WAS ?FAULTY?. REPLACED AGAIN. JANUARY 2, 2008, VEHICLE VIOLENTLY JERKING AGAIN- DYING IN THE ROAD, IF OVER 40MPH. ENGINE LIGHT ON-DEALER REPLACED THE CAM SENSOR. -VERY HESITANT THAT MY CAR WAS BECOME A THREAT. FEBRUARY 22, 2008, VEHICLE JERKING, THEN DIED ON THE ROAD AT 45MPH -ABLE TO START IT, DROVE TO THE DEALER-WAS TOLD IT WAS THE PCM. PCM REPLACED -CAM SENSOR ALSO. COMPLAINED TO CHRYSLER, TRYING TO GET ANSWERS FOR THIS ?LEMON?. WAS TOLD THIS TIME THAT THEY WERE 100% THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. DEALER GAVE ME WRITTEN ?GOOD WILL? EXTENDED WARRANTY ON MY VEHICLE FOR 5,000 EXTRA MILES. APRIL 15, 2008. TRAVELING 45MPH- CAR STARTED VIOLENTLY JERKING AGAIN AND DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. POWER STEERING GONE- STRUGGLED TO VEER OF AND SLOW DOWN, LOSING CONTROL. THIS TIME, A BUS WAS BEHIND ME AND SWERVED, LAID ON THE HORN AND AVOIDED HITTING ME. WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD-CALLED THE DEALERSHIP. TOWED MY CAR. HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS VEHICLE -WILL NOT PUT MY FAMILY IN DANGER ONE MORE TIME!!!! . NEED TO BE FREE AND CLEAR OF ALL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS CAR. DEALER NOW TELLS ME THAT THEY ARE ?HARD-WIRING? THE PCM DIRECTLY TO THE CAM SENSOR. THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE IS A ?GLITCH? WITHIN THE WIRING THAT THEY WILL SIMPLY BYPASS BY PUTTING IN A DIRECT CONNECTION, THUS MANIPULATING ORIGINAL WIRING CODES.. FUEL TANK OVERFLOW I HAVE A 2006 DODGE DURANGO THAT I ABSOLUTELY "LOVE" EXCEPT THE FACT THAT THE PAST 12 MONTHS HAS DEVELOPED A PROBLEM. EVERY TIME I FILL UP WITH GAS (EVEN AT DIFFERENT STATIONS), MY GAS TANK OVER FILLS AND GAS IS "GUSHING" OUT AND A GOOD AMOUNT IS LOST. MY CONCERN IS NOT SO MUCH THE EXPENSE IN WASTE OF EXTRA GAS I NEED TO PAY FOR. BUT, I HAVE GAS DRIPPING DOWN THE SIDE OF MY TRUCK AND IN BETWEEN MY BUMPER FASCIA. I HAVE A 2006 DODGE DURANGO MY INCIDENT HAPPENED ON FEBRUARY THE 8TH 2008 MY MOTHER WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE BACK FROM A FUNERAL WITH MY 88 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER THEY HEARD A LOUD SOUND THAT SEEMED TO BE SOMETHING DRAGGING BENEATH THE DURANGO. THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY LOST IT'S POWER AND LOCKED UP. DRIVE SHAFT HAD FALLEN OFF THE DURANGO AND WAS LYING ON THE PAVEMENT. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TAKEN A MONTH TO FIX THIS VEHICLE AND IT STILL ISN'T WORKING. LAST FRIDAY MARCH 7TH OF 2008 I WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP BY THE DEALERSHIP. SINCE I NEVER WAS GIVEN A RENTAL MY HUSBAND AND I HAD TO DRIVE TWO HOURS TO GO AND PICK UP THE DURANGO. ONCE WE GOT THE DURANGO IT WAS AFTER 5:30 WHICH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSING. MY HUSBAND AND I VENTURED HOME HE FOLLOWED BEHIND TO MAKE SURE THAT I HAD NO TROUBLE WITH THE DURANGO. HE NOTICED ABOUT 40 MINUTES AFTER WE HAD BEEN DRIVING THAT FLUID WAS SPEWING OUT THE REAR-END OF MY DURANGO AND THE PASSENGER BACK TIRE WAS BOUNCING AND WOBBLING UNCONTROLLABLY. HE IMMEDIATELY PULLED ME OVER AND TOOK OVER THE DRIVING OF MY VEHICLE WHILE I DROVE HIS TRUCK. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP FIRST THING IN THE MORNING TO TELL THEM WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH THE DURANGO. THE SECOND SEATBELT TO BREAK WAS THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR SEATBELT. IT DID THE SAME THINGS AS THE PREVIOUS SEATBELT. IT HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED AND WE STILL HAVE THE BROKEN PART AVAILABLE. THIS HAPPENED SOMETIME IN 2008. THE THIRD SEATBELT TO BREAK IS THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT. IT HAS BROKEN IN THE SAME FASHION AS THE FIRST TWO. THEY JUST NOTIFIED US TO BRING IT BACK TO THEM AGAIN IF THE POWER STEERING FAILURE AGAIN. CONTACTED SAME DEALER AT 6,000 MILES FOR RECALL ON ELECTRICAL AND INQUIRED ABOUT ALSO CHANGING POWER STEERING PUMP WHEN DOING RECALL REPAIR. DEALER STATED THAT THE RUSTED POWER STEERING PUMP WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY WARRANTY. *TR
THE BRAKES ON MY 2006 DURANGO SEEM TO SLIP AT TIMES. I HAVE GONE TO STOP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AND THE BRAKES SEEM TO TAKE A SECOND TO KICK IN. I HAVE THOUGHT BEFORE I WASN'T GOING TO STOP. THIS IS A GREAT CONCERN TO ME, ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE MY GRANDCHILDREN WITH ME. I FEEL THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG, AND I AM NOT SAFE AT TIMES IN THIS CAR. IT ISN'T EVERYTIME , BUT IT HAPPENS TOO OFTEN TO FEEL WORRY FREE. *TR
