During Moderate Braking, while driving over a bump, the entire drivetrain and braking system with "let go", and it feels like a surge in the drivetrain. During this time braking is unresponsive until it re-engages the system. If attempting to replicate, and viewing the driver's information console, sometimes you can see the "transmission" switch between Drive and Neutral and back to drive again. I have reported this to Fisker only weeks after receiving the vehicle in Sept 2023. They met me in a parking lot in San Diego, where "Taylor" a Magna Styer Engineering Technician for the ADAS system stated this was a known issue. Then in Dec 2023 or Jan 2024 the NHTSA reported that Fisker had fixed the problem - they have NOT, but since moving to Utah, the roads are a bit better than my original purchase location. On [XXX] while driving to work and when running over a very small bump in the road service on an exit ramp from [XXX], the regen braking and manual braking system released while driving, and my vehicle was propelled and continued through an intersection on a red light. This is becoming a common occurrence since the OS 2.0 update. Thankfully, there were no vehicles in the intersection and I made a sharp right turn and could not come to a complete stop. The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to make a right turn, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted to park(P). There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was a recurring failure. The contact stated that the vehicle remained stuck in the middle of traffic and would not shift out of park(P) into drive(D) as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or local dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.
After enabling a "hill hold" feature where the car will stop after braking without needing to leave foot on brake, the car will automatically go into park/standby mode which results in car basically shutting off. This has affected many fisker oceans since their latest update. The car will stall on the freeway in stop and go traffic, at stoplights and stop signs. The driver must then put the car back into gear which with this vehicle does not happen expeditiously which results in stress and danger if someone approaching quickly from the rear. I need to attach videos to show this problem but this site will only allow pictures.
I have severe safety concerns about the malfunction of the vehicle’s regenerative braking system. Since I purchased the car, it has unexpectedly lurched forward during stop-and-go traffic on several occasions. This sudden and unpredictable acceleration poses a clear risk of collision and injury to both the vehicle’s occupants and other road users. Despite multiple attempts over the past six months, Fisker has been unable to diagnose and repair this braking defect. As a result, I am left with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate under normal driving conditions. Fisker’s failure to address this problem promptly raises concerns about a potentially widespread defect affecting other 2023 Fisker Ocean vehicles." Please note that Fisker has responded to customer feedback and issued an over-the-air software update to improve the regenerative system, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is still investigating the braking problems.
Warning lights keeps coming up. Back up camera don't always work. Screen won't turn on when driving. Charge port open when driving. Also brake rattling noise from the brake pedal when coming to a stop.
Repeated warning messages that the daytime running lights are unavailable
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V405000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shifted into neutral independently. The contact also stated that the instrument panel displayed the incorrect font size of the Brake, Park, and ABS warning lights. The contact attempted to notify the manufacturer of the failure; however, the phone number was no longer in service. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000. VIN tool was unable to retrieve recall information.
The sensors aren’t reliable. Some days, the sensors work and some days they don’t. While I still utilize the skills from driving without these sensors, there will be a time where the sensor may turn off without me knowing and cause an accident because I can’t safely rely on them
24V623: Safety Recall Campaign TSB10062408 - Braking Improvement Software Update - no work has been done. Fisker has never returned any phone calls I have made regarding service. Now service number and website are both not active. 24V499: Water Pump Failure - no work has been done. Fisker has never returned any phone calls I have made regarding service. Now service number and website are both not active. 24V466: Door Handles - no work has been done. Fisker has never returned any phone calls I have made regarding service. Now service number and website are both not active. Fisker may have attempted an Over the Air software update over the weekend, but it failed and the care is no longer responsive. It can not be unlocked. It can not been contacted by software. And, there is no number to contact to correct the issue.
The windshield fogs up in our Seattle weather extremely fast. Faster than any car I've been in. It only clears up if we have the defrost on high but only to the windshield. It won't work if we do windshield and feet. This leaves people in the back seat cold because their air controls won't work. Also, since the 2.0 update, if you turn on the front windshield defogger, the heat turns on all the way up and the fan turns all the way up. If you turn either down, they turn back up. So if it's 70 and humid and your windshield fogs up, the only way to clear it is with an extremely hot car. In addition to these issues, the forward collision warning and the automatic emergency braking don't work if it's raining or if it's too bright out. Again, fisker said this would be fixed with the 1.11 update and then with the 2.0 update but it has gotten worse. This car is dangerous to have children in it. Ive asked them to work with me on a buy back and I was told yes many weeks ago until they finally told me they don't do that. Now I'm finally filing these complaints so the car can be investigated. Fisker has ignored my emails to fix these issues.
This car is supposed to have lane keep assist and lane departure warning. When it goes off, instead of push the car back towards the center of the lane, it's pulling it towards line. The car is constantly trying to drive "on" the line vs between the lines. Fisker will not acknowledge it as an issue and has told me that 1.11 will fix it (it did not), then they told me that 2.0 will take care of all of those issues (it did not). The car is also constantly reporting ghost cars in the blind spot on the highway. Instead of fixing the issue, they just turned off the sound but the lights still flash.
This car is scary to drive. When I go over bumps in the road (man hole cover, railroad tracks, damaged road, etc) and hit my brakes, the car speeds up. When I'm using cruise control and I go over some kind of bump, the cruise will disengage and the regenerative braking kick on instantly. These events only happen over certain bumps and make it hard to expect. I've almost gotten rear ended on the highway changing lanes in cruise control and Ive been close to rear ending others as I've tried to come to a stop so many times. I have a 17 month old toddler and this is my only vehicle to get him around. I've asked fisker for help and they keep telling me to wait for updates and the latest update made it worse. This has happened since I've gotten the car and it's happened at all speeds. There are only 6000 miles on my car.
When coming to a stop, the brakes “slip” causing the braking distance to increase. This significantly increases the potential of a crash. Secondly, the car puts itself in PARK and engages parking brake when at a stop sign or traffic light. This significantly increases the potential of a crash. Thirdly, the display panel notes a brake system and ADAS malfunction while driving. Lastly, the driver’s side rear taillight of the vehicle doesn’t work and requires new part to fix it - which isn’t available. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.
This vehicle is not safe to be on the road. I've had numerous safety issues: 1) Electrical: --every day I get warnings about faults, particularly with many of the ADAS features being unavailable. --the dash screen with the speedometer fades out while driving. --the main screen stops working or locks on a back-up camera image. --the A/C system intermittently functions. The biggest issue with this is that the vehicle has a glass roof that traps heat in the car and it gets hot inside fast. --interior lights turn on and won't turn off. --the rear door will unlock but the door cannot be opened. This is particularly worrisome in the case of an emergency if I can't get my kids out of the backseat. --the side mirrors have closed by themselves while driving. 2) Driving --the car will shift gears on its own while driving, generally shifting into park when I stop in stop and go traffic. --if I encounter any potholes and dents in the road, the vehicle will lunge forward, quickly speeding up when slowing down. --the rollback on this vehicle is very worrisome. The lightest incline will result in the car starting to roll backwards very quickly. If you press the accelerator while rolling back the vehicle thrusts forward. --I've been locked out of the vehicle two times. Both times it was because the vehicle fell into a deep sleep and required a remote activation. That meant I had to wait 15-20 minutes to get a hold of a representative to remote unlock my car. I have two kids and the idea of getting stuck somewhere with a car that can't be unlocked worries me. 3) Keyfob --the battery dies every 4-8 weeks. --the keyfob is essential to opening and starting the vehicle, but it doesn't always work. --I've had to have my car towed because the keyfob would not operate and I couldn't unlock the vehicle with the app. Overall, this vehicle is far too dangerous to be on the road!
I was in my vehicle, parked, and suddenly could not open the door and could not exit the vehicle. I was trapped inside. I got part of the video, which shows that I was in park, attempted to unlock the door, and could not get out. I eventually reset the vehicle twice to get the door to open. There was no warning. I just put my car in park and could not get out of the vehicle. I worry if I were in a wreck that I could not exit the vehicle. I also have an infant and worry if the doors are stuck that they would not be able to reset the vehicle and could get stuck in the car/especially as temperatures rise. I have told the company, but the company has not made an attempt to fix the vehicle yet. I have a video, but was unable to attach. Happy to send.
See attached document for complaint
Many grievances that are not addressed by the company: Brakes sometimes cause the car to "jump" forward and glide forward a couple of feet. If someone cuts you off and you have to quickly brake, the car may "jump" forward and get into an accident. The car has evidence of water build up somewhere inside the skeleton/body/frame of the car (evidence by "swishing" noises upon normal uphill acceleration, downhill deceleration, acceleration in general). Along with this, there's more evidence of water accumulation with visible condensation found on the windows that are from the inside (especially evident on the passenger side front and rear windows). There is a smell to the inside that is of standing water (humid smell). Concerned with mold if not addressed. The consul will stop working and either freeze or shut off altogether (in these cases no buttons can control the vent or audio systems). Occasionally the car will have the heater on, blasting hot hair and since the consul won't work, nor the buttons, there's no way to control that (at the same time, there's no way to control the audio volume either). The car's safety features are practically always inactive and the car prompts me to "drive carefully" based on this finding. "Lane assist" and "automatic brake" are the most frequently 'unavailable' safety features (daily). Car being stranded and unable to open or turn on multiple times. All this has been emailed to Fisker multiple times (with photos) and an automatic email response received that they will "review my concerns and respond within 48-72 hours" (that hasn't happened, no response). I've spoken to customer service (early March), expressing these issues verbally, being promised that a they will arrange for a "technician" to come out and review the issues to see if they can solve them or refer out to a physical location for the car to be evaluated if they can't solve. NO technician has been sent out and NONE of these issues/concerns have been addressed.
Was driving vehicle on highway. Road was being milled. Went over the transition from milled to normal asphalt pavement. Vehicle lost power, error message appeared about battery, transmission shifted to neutral. Once vehicle was on the side of the highway, stopped, it turned itself off.
Regarding the brake issue, it occurred twice recently: once on [XXX] while slowing down to turn into a plaza, and again on [XXX] when reversing out of my driveway. The car shook when the brakes engaged, which made me feel unsafe. This problem has occurred before and was previously fixed by a technician, but it has recurred. Additionally, my AC vent emits a loud whistle when the AC is turned on, my right driver-side rear mirror makes noise when locking and unlocking the car. Still waiting for my third work order. On [XXX] I opened a service ticket with Fisker for my Fisker Ocean One, Vin# [XXX] . On my drive to work the vehicle suddenly and very unexpectedly shuttered to a halt in the mist of driving. The times of the restarts were, [XXX], [XXX] and [XXX] and [XXX]pm. It was a clear day; everything was normal prior to the first episode at 1:17pm. After the third episode the " driver attention/alerts" came on unexpectedly too. After reaching my destination I performed a soft reboot which did not resolve the problem. Subsequently, on [XXX], at [XXX]am and again at [XXX]am, my vehicle shuttered to a stop and restarted in the middle of a busy road. After the second incident I did a soft reset and proceeded to my destination without any further issues. Yet again on [XXX] around [XXX]pm, my vehicle shuttered to stop in the middle of traffic, it then proceeded to reboot before allowing me to drive on. Nothing unusual preceded the incident and the vehicle was driven home with not added issues. On [XXX], between [XXX] today my FOO suddenly and unexpectedly shuttered to a stop no less than 6 times. On [XXX], the vehicle shuttered to a stop in the middle of traffic. Multiple events occurred sometime between [XXX]am and [XXX]am. On [XXX], the vehicle again shuttered to a stop, 2 times on the way home, again in the middle of traffic. All incidents where formally reported to Fisker at support@fiskerinc.com and I rec'd confirmation of receipt Case numbers [XXX] and [XXX]. Through online resources I was able to find the contact information of a Fisker Service Center in Vista, CA (which isn't close to me, 80 miles away but I was willing to have the vehicle towed). I made an appt then they cancelled the appt after realizing that I found their contact information through online sources. So instead of helping they became petty and told me I'd have to until a service center opens closer to me. The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 MPH, the contact slightly depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle jerked abnormally. No warning light was illuminated. The failure occurred on several occasions. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V499000 (Electrical System) and 24V623000 (Service Brakes, Electric). The vehicle was driven back to the residence. There were no local dealers available to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact attempted to contact the manufacturer several times, however received no response. The failure mileage was unknown.
Recall 24V466000 Door handles do not open cost to me $85+ (to be done 3-6-2025), Recall 24V865000 Regen braking stops working on rough road surfaces ongoing, Recall 24V49900 Defective Water pump replacement labor cost $185 done 1-10-2025, Cost for 2.2 to be paid by me $300.+(to be done 3-6-2025), 4-21-2024 Seat sensor put car into park at intersection nearly causing my car to be rear ended, Blind spot warning comes and goes same with auto emergency braking
I received a recall notice number 24V499 regarding a faulty cabin electric water pump that can cause the car to go into limp mode which limits its speed to 10-20 mph. This happened to me on a 55mph road. I have not heard how or when this electric water pump will be replaced. The recall says “Fisker will replace the cabin electric water pumps on affected customer vehicles with a new pump…”
A week ago my wife was locked out of our Fisker. The battery in hte key fob was new. No matter what she tried, the doors would not open. After an hour, the doors responded to the key fob. Saturday April 20, the same thing happened to me. The door would not open even though I had put a new battery in the key only a few days prior. I tried to open the door for at least 15 mins, including walking around the car to try from all sides, placing the key near the door handle as Fisker instructs, locking then unlocking the doors, etc. I also tried unlocking with the Fisker app. Nothing worked. A window was slightly open. Although I knew it would likely set off the alarm, I reached inside and was able to open a door. The alarm went off. No matter what I tried, I could not get the car to recognize my key and/or stop the alarm. After another 15 mins, I walked to a CVS to buy another battery for the keyfob. I returned with another new new battery in the kdy fob but still no success. By this time, I had been unable to enter my car for half an hour with the alarm sounding for half that time, arousing the interest and ire of people parked nearby. I tried using the Fisker app to contact roadside assistance. The app told me such assistance was not available. I called the Fisker Customer service number. A message said no one was available to answer. I then called a Fisker service tech who had been to my house in the past (more than once, unfortunately). He didn’t answer but texted me a while later. I sent him my VIN. He was able to open my car doors and turn off the alarm using his computer from his house.
1. Center screen is completely off. It controls everything in the car: safety feature (blind sport, lane keep assist, traffic light alert, regenerative braking, and many others), AC/heating system, communication, navigation, etc. 2. Whistling noise started coming from the electric motor (I guess!). Not sure what exactly this sound is but it increases significantly with acceleration and slows down with deceleration.
While driving and pulling out of the parking lot, the parking brake engaged on its own, preventing me from accelerating and almost causing a car accident.
My windshield was hit by small debris from a truck in April, 2024. It now has a crack halfway across. This is a common problem with other owners, so I think the windshield may be defective. They also do not have replacements, which makes this crack a safety hazard.
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power with several unknown warning lights being illuminated. The vehicle was eventually taken to an independent mechanic and the manufacturer sent a technician to inspect the vehicle. The technician performed an OTA software update; however, the failure persisted. After testing the vehicle, the mechanic discovered that the defect was related to a heat sensor failure. The contact was informed that parts needed to be ordered for the repair. The vehicle remained in the dealer's possession unrepaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,500.
I began driving home from work with the vehicle at 75% charge. As I pulled onto the main road the vehicle experienced a regenerative braking error, then proceeded to lose power. The vehicle came to a halt and then displayed an error that the battery charge level was 0%. At this time every single error indicator on the dash became illuminated. The vehicle stopped in the travel lanes and was unable to shift into drive to move, and subsequently had to be towed. Due to the vehicle's unresponsiveness my safety was put at risk by having a vehicle that could not move out of the travel lanes on a busy road.
Every time i brake my car goes to park mode.. this happened every time I brake, mode of the car changed from Drive to Park .. Done soft and hard reset still facing this issue.. opened service ticket with Fisker but no update yet. this is really scary and makes me nervous to drive this car. Any help is appreciated. thanks
I have several service tickets open for my Fisker Ocean One that have not been addressed, many going back over 3 months. 1 - the vents on my Ocean are malfunctioning. They were supposed to have been replaced before the car was delivered to me in October 2023, but they were not. 2 - the car has randomly put itself into park on several occasions while I've been driving. It has happened while I have been backing out of my driveway, stopped at a red light, or simply driving down the road. 3. I have experienced issues with the windows and sunroof not working, such as not rolling up or down. Sometimes I have to press buttons multiple times to get a window to close. Buttons only work sporadically. 3 - 8 days ago, I received an over the air update, as required for the last Ocean recall (for which I did NOT receive the letter supposedly mailed by Fisker), and my car will no longer go into gear. It has been sitting in my garage for over a week; local and mobile techs working with a software engineer are unable to fix the issue. The diagnostic software indicates that there are no problems or errors with the car, but it will not go into any gear at all. Fisker no longer employs customer service representatives, so there is no one to answer emails, assign tickets, or respond to social media, which was the only way an owner could get in touch with the company. Furthermore, there is no one left to answer the phones, including the number that has been given regarding the 3 active car recalls. The majority of service tech have been laid off with the bankruptcy filing, and the handful that are left in the country have been directed not to assist current customers, but rather to devote their time to preparing remaining inventory for sale. My car will not move. If it did, I still have the other issues pending that have yet to be addressed.
My windshield was hit by a stone in April 2024, and I have still been unable to source a replacement windshield. My driver seat belt sensor went out and froze the rear brakes. I had to burn through the brake pads to get the car off the road, and had no rear brake pads until I was able to locate a salvage pair and new rotors to repair them, and a new seat sensor. The cost of this work and parts is $1,335.31. I had to pay to have the recalled water pump replaced. The cost of this was $325.
Two Safety Issues; 1. Driver side front inside door handle malfunctioning so that it cannot be opened from the inside. I have to lock/unlock the car to apparently reset the system so that it will open. This does not happen all the time but has happened twice over the past week. Clearly a safety issue if you are trapped inside the vehicle. This can be inspected. No warning messages by the vehicle. 2. Vehicle has gone into park while coming to a full stop and will not easliy shift back into drive. Similarly, I had to lock/unlock the car several times to get it to do back into drive. This happened a few times in the past week so it has not been addressed by Fisker. The safety issue is apparent as a parked car in moving traffic dangerous. No error messages by the vehicle. There are many other issues with the vehicle, however the above pose a health risk. I have filed for arbitration to return the vehicle as I have two small children and I find the car unsafe to drive with them inside.
Gearshift stick popped out and dropped to the floor while trying to reverse at parking lot. We were able to plug it in after few attempts to get it to function and drive back home nearby. Called Fisker support and reported the incident and are waiting for their service to fix the issue. If this had happened on the highway, will loose control and end up ina accident!
All cameras have failed on this Fisker Ocean. That has led to the blind spot indicators being on at all times along with non functioning back-up cameras, lane-keeping system, parking indicators. No response on the ticket submitted (along with other tickets submitted for other issues previously). Headlights now turn off when the car stops no matter which mode (auto, headlights, or daytime running lights) is selected. They come back on once moving. This has lead to reduced visibility of the vehicle. Again, no response from Fisker requesting service.
Several potential dangerous situations have occurred with this car. 1. Brakes often fail on first attempt, only stops with pumping them. 2. Car randomly swerved to right twice, each time stopping by hitting something. 3. Car has locked itself and am unable to unlock with key fob, had to manually force it open. 4. Accelerator pedal has weird clicking to it. 5. Strange cracking sound from solar roof. It is impossible to get any type of service for this car as Fisker is unresponsive to phone calls or email attempts. The tech in the Delaware region has been terminated and since the car is undeliverable it is impossible to get to the closest one which seems to be Atlanta. No way of knowing if they will ever service the car.
Front passenger door does not open from car interior
Vehicle needs software update to 2.2 NHTSA (Campaign Number: 24V405000) but there is no contact regarding when this will happen. The ADAS Warning system has had a warning light on since I received the vehicle. I had to disable audible warnings because they were distracting and dangerous. Also, the vehicle needs a replacement water pump (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000) and measurement of door handles (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V466000). I have not used the vehicle for long trips for fear of water pump breaking causing me to be stranded. Fisker trustee has not made the recalls noted above available to me as an owner. I've been locked out of my car twice for 30+ minutes. The anxiety of being able to get into the vehicle is unnerving and I can not take my dog with me and leave him in the car as I run errands for fear of not being able to unlock the vehicle when I return, as happened to be in March 2024 and April 2024. The Trustee needs to be forced to provide all owners with the agreed upon recalls before he is freed from the trustee duties. It has been months and there is no contact on how to get these updates. Please help.
During high speeds on the highway the car starting making random beeping and booping alerts, every warning showed up on the dash and a notification quickly popped up that said something along the lines of battery failure and need service, then disappeared, then a red battery indicator remained displayed and the car's acceleration and regenerative breaking went dead. We managed to roll the car for about half a mile to the next exit and pulled over. My wife was driving at that time and when I got out of the car to switch with my wife, the problem went away and we weren't able to reproduce the problem. I have sent this issue to Fisker the day of and they are completely ignoring it. I've been hounding them everyday about this as well as all the other issues with the car and expired plates. My wife is too scared to drive the car by herself since then and I can't even legally drive it because of Fisker's refusal to provide temporary registration and plates. Anyway, this was a dangerous situation for both of us. Fisker is currently prioritizing all their techs to prep inventory for sale and ignoring current customers with mechanical issues. Still have all the other well known issues like regenerative braking cutting off on high speeds when hitting uneven surfaces on the highway causing a very jarring lurch forward and decreased stopping distance, random ADAS errors causing beeps and bongs, interior light randomly coming on and off during drive, excessively loud fan noise coming from rear view mirror. These are all distracting during drive issues and Fisker's been ignoring me for all my issues.
I was driving at 50 mph, midday, on a local road. All of a sudden, got a motor error, the motor light came up in red on the dash, all safety lights turned on on the dashboard - brake, adaptive assist (ADAS), motor fault, no safety features available. The car would not accelerate wit pushing the pedal and the car lost all propulsion. I was able to coast to the side of the road and come to a stop. No brakes were functional.
numerous occasions of collision warning braking system activating, sometimes applying brakes, and sometimes just the warning. Alternatively, initial attempts of braking do not work, and only releasing the brake pedal and reapplying will initiate actual braking. Six examples with date, time, and location via maps pin have been provided to Fisker. They attempted to reset software once, but even as the problem persists ,they have not re-assessed the vehicle. most severe example listed below.
On 3/29/24 my wife was driving the Fisker home on the freeway. She had about 20% battery left and was 5 miles from home. All of a sudden, the car lost power and she started to coast on the freeway. Nothing happened when she pushed on the accelerator. She made it to the side of the road. Stopped the car. And then turned it on again and all was fine and drove home. She was severely shaken to completely lose power on the freeway. Then the same thing happened to me on 4/5/24. I was traveling with the cruise control on at 70 mph and I was on the Interstate 80 freeway. I was eastbound, 2 miles from the Bus. 80 junction. All of a sudden, the screen in front of me started flashing. It said "front ADAS malfunction", "braking problem, drive safely" " Battery low, 12v/HV". The car slowed to 52 mph and nothing happened when I pushed on the accelerator. I made my way through traffic with my hazard lights on and got to the side of the freeway. I stopped the car and put it in Park. Nothing changed. So I reset the system by pushing the two inside buttons of the steering wheel. It reset and everything worked. We contacted Fisker after the first incident and then again after the second incident. They said we were a "high" priority and we would be contacted by a service tech in 1-3 days. It has been 4 days and no one has contacted us. We are very hesitant to drive the car not knowing when it might quit on us again. We need answers from Fisker!
I have received recall notices in July of this year (Campaign Number: 24V405) and in September of this year (Campaign Number: 24V623) promising to fix everything from braking to warning lights. NOTHING has been fixed yet! How can the NHTSA be placated by a car company that sends out official recall notices and does nothing to fix the problems! Please hold Fisker accountable!!!!
Passenger side door would not open from inside on multiple occasions
Seatbelt Malfunctions Warning when driving, break malfunction warning while driving, doors wont open, Vehicle stopped accelerating on the freeway, and vehicle plagued with bugs that prevent charging.
As I was driving in the middle of a rainstorm and the typical collision avoidance, lane departure, blind spot monitoring lights turned on and off intermittently, which was expected with this car. I’m used to it by now. But as I came down a descent on the two lane highway (CA interstate 80 around Truckee), as I slowly let go of the accelerator to allow for regen breaking to kick in, I got alerts for break malfunctions and failed regen breaking. Then all of a sudden, the accelerator lost all response and started to slow. I applied pressure to the accelerator and got nothing. Luckily there were no cars around, so I was able to cut across the next lane and onto the shoulder. Luckily the mechanical brakes still worked, though no regen breaking. I came to a complete stop, and as soon as I put the car into (P)ark the entire car shut off by itself, like it kissed all power. Fortunately, I was able to press through breaks the turn the car back on. Then everything went back to normal.
The car door handle did not extrude itself despite being unlocked. A child was in the car, in the middle of the day, and I was unable to open the door to retrieve the child. If my wife was not in the car to open it from the inside, we could have had a fatal situation on our hands. There have been numerous situations where the car would also fail to unlock randomly.
This car has had issues with the camera going out/not accurately showing proximity to other objects. It also rolls backwards when in drive, recently did this at a stop sign. It suddenly goes off when in park and has had to be completely restarted blocking traffic. I was on the interstate slowing down on I-64 and suddenly the car accelerated.
I have created some service tickets thru the Fisker website and got no response, Shawn did a great job taking care of the initial issues I had, I just keep finding more that have not been addressed or stopped working with the OS2.0, the Bluetooth keeps disconnecting or not connecting at all when I enter the vehicle, the “Lane keep assist” never worked, I am still owe the rear flaps, the emergency kit We paid for, the limo screen is not working, (it stopped working before the updated it got fixed on update, it stopped working again), also, the car has done some erratic behaviors when stopped at a intersection waiting for a green light, the vehicle puts itself to Park, sometimes to the point of non responsiveness, there’s rattling or grinding sound when breaking at around 30-20m/hr, when inside the vehicle for 20-30 min, all kind of errors appears and becomes unresponsive, battery errors, won’t drive or do nothing, the driver seat intermittently becomes unresponsive, it would not move forward/backwards or up/low, I couldn’t drive it the other day, it was stuck the way my wife drives.
Especially when traveling over rises or dips, or when accelerating after a school zone, the car frequently shakes, sometimes violently.
