This car has had so many recalls on it and it does not stop. Gibbons Ford does not have windshield wiper clips; there is constant recalls on this car. What are my options?
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power, stalled, and then failed to restart. The loss of power train message was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery and control module needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. Additionally, the contact received NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V859000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that she noticed a crack was formed at the bottom of the windshield. Upon taking the vehicle to a dealer for an oil change, the mechanic informed her that several cracks had formed at the bottom of the windshield. The mechanic also stated that there was an unknown recall for the failure; however, the VIN was not included. The contact stated that the cracks had expanded vertically on both sides of the windshield, obstructing the driver's vision. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco. The contact received notification of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V859000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving at approximately 55 MPH, several unknown warning lights were intermittently illuminated and the Back Over Prevention screen turned white. The contact stated that the vehicle communication error message was displayed. The contact was able to navigate the vehicle off the road. The contact notified Ford’s AAA for towing however, the tow truck never showed up. The contact then notified the local authorities. The local authorities notified a tow truck, and the vehicle was towed back to the residence. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that parts were unavailable. The contact was advised to continue driving the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
Had the vehicle in for regular service and recall repair January 13, 2023. I was informed that the recall could not be completed due to there not being any available parts for the repair. It has now been four weeks and I haven't heard from the dealership about completing this repair. I am concerned about the lack of interest on the part of Ford Motor Company and its local dealer in completing these repairs. The statement about there not being any parts for the repair is not totally true. The company is using all available parts for production and their bottom line rather for the safety and well-being of their customers. There are at least ten (10) like vehicles on the dealership's lot at the present time that the parts could be taken from for repair of the vehicle and my safety and well-being.
Within a few years of purchasing my Bronco Sport, I had a grinding noise when going in reverse. Took it to dealership and they said there was no fix for it. 2 years later, I had a grinding, chatter noise again in back area of car. Dealership said a TSB had been issued and a fluid replacement and vent hose replacement was performed. A year or so later, the same issue began- chatter, grinding noise. Unable to go in reverse. Transmission failure. $7000 dollars later, my car is still not driving well. It has been back to the mechanic and each time they do a software update but problem returns.
this has happened twice to me. First time, I was driving around a roundabout - and the engine kicked off and there were a lot of alerts across the screen. I was safely able to coast off the road and onto the side where I sat for a little bit trying to restart it. After pushing the start button several times - it started back up and I was on my way. Most recently, last week - I was driving on the highway and the engine died and so many alerts were going across the screen. I couldn't pay much attention to the errors because a semi almost rammed my back end. I was on an incline on an off ramp and was trying to coast to the side as much as I could. It was too scary to monitor what was happening on the screen. I sat there trying to restart the Bronco and after several tries - it started back up and I was able to drive away. The Bronco is at the Dealership right now for them to look it over. No warning messages or anything - the engine shut down and then the alerts started. It appeared to be like every alert that could come up. There were so many. I also have the squealing and loud brakes. On back up .... they scream bloody murder. It is so embarrassing.
I have attached a letter that I mailed to Ford Consumer Affairs detailing the issues with this vehicle and asking them to repair the transmission. I received a response letter from them yesterday denying my claim. I am seeking advice on how I can proceed with Ford, if at all, to try to get them to fix this issue that was clearly caused by multiple recalls. I am not the only consumer reporting the exact same problem with this vehicle. Thank You, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact was concerned about a possible vehicle fire due to the failure. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Catastrophic engine failure on major highway . The warning message was " Your engine is shutting down "
Catastrophic engine failure
The vehicle seems to have long stopping distances and I experienced shaking at highway speed. Also, when I back up, there is a very loud moaning noise, like a ‘ship horn’. This noise occurred several times from when I first bought the new vehicle and each time I took it to the dealer, they said they couldn’t duplicate the problem. That was over 4 times now that the dealer denied there was a problem. I then made a video of the noise to prove it to the dealer. They agreed there was a TSB for caliper pins and bushings, so they did that work. Before I left the dealer service department, the problem happened again to the Service Advisor, so they have the car now waiting for Ford to investigate. Online Ford Bronco forums also show a defect in the ‘coefficient of friction’ for the brake pads, but both Ford and the dealer currently are saying that’s a wear item and they won’t fix it under the warranty (my car has 30k mikes now but this problem occurred first when I only had the car for a few months). As part of the TSB service on 12/15/2022, they said my front original brake pads are like new but the back ones are due to be replaced. They acknowledged that the rear pads usually last twice as long as the front, but my vehicle is opposite that. I think they should put new brakes and new rotors on the vehicle under warranty, especially in back since those rear pads only should not be worn out at 30k miles while the front are like new. Clearly, there is a problem with the rear brakes (primarily,) but maybe in the overall balance of the braking system, resulting in premature wear of the back pads, longer stopping distances, and that awful noise when I back up.
Driving the vehicle between on a highway and, repeatedly, the control panel would completely shut down with the warning that the battery was running low on power. It doesn’t make sense since the vehicle is less than two years old.
When backing up it sounds like a tug boat. Super annoying and embarrassing. Also when you are turning it seems like the wheels are shaking like a polaroid picture! I’ve taken the car to the dealer and they have stated that there’s nothing that they can do and ford is aware. Extremely unprofessional and just plain disappointing.
There is a load moaning sound when backing the vehicle up or making a turn which significantly effects steering and stoping. Ford dealership said that tires were not rubbing body and tie rods were ok. This ford bronco sport only has 25K miles on it and never taken off road. Ford said to live with the sound until it bothered us? They said that it didn't need brakes but a new brake job could possibly fix problem? Independent repair shop said that it wasn't a brake issue but didn't know what the problem was. This load sound must be a defect for this vehicle because others on the web have expressed the same problem but ford has not put out a recall as of this date.
Per Master Tech Bo at CamelBack Ford in Phoenix, AZ - He stated he had a 2021 Bronco Sport in his shop for 3 months with the same issue mine has had now 3 times and mine has been "Repaired" twice. He could not find out why the vehicle was stalling/losing power while in motion. I proceeded to look for an answer and had asked if that Bronco Sport he is referring to is still in his shop.. his answer was no. I asked then what was the issue, his response was a failing Guide-Pin in the transmission not being an exact sit in the fitting position. I had my vehicle towed to Chapman Ford of Scottsdale, AZ for the 3rd time. They started a Inspection/Diagnoses on my vehicle without knowing at all why my vehicle was towed in. Then proceeded to not listen to my request of inspecting the transmission assembly and denied service to my ensure if my family is (ASAP) - as safe as possible - in this vehicle and stated "It is SUPPOSEDLY drivable" (Recorded Line). They said my vehicle "Stalled" and did not lose power (like they were there when I was moving 20 MPH) because of the fuel level! They reported (Recorded Line) vehicle was brought in with ESTIMATED 26 Miles like this is a non-sufficient amount of fuel. ** Let me be the first to say the estimate is not an estimate I have gotten this car down to the 10 Miles left warning indicator message and felt no problems regarding to a low fuel amount. First open case with ford Motor Company was Closed at their discretion for their reasons the day it was opened First Case Number: [XXX] Second Case Number was also closed the day it was open due to the dealerships report after looking at nothing and the car is SUPPOSEDLY DRIVABLE! Second Case Number: Please reach out as I did not save this one but will obtain as soon as possible. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
At 21,000 miles on Bronco I purchased as new, I received an alert on the dash for low pressure on all 4 tires. I stopped the car and all 4 have bulges in the same place. I called Continental and they set up a file #4143053155 and told me to take it to the dealer for inspection. I took it back to Van Horn In Lomira WI for that inspection on 12/9/22. They took pictures and sent them to Continental who tells me that this is normal for tires to have bulges in the side. I am very concerned if the tires are actually safe to drive on. The tires are Continental Pro Contract tx P225/R65/17.
Some Ford Bronco Sport and Escape SUVs, which share a brake system, are being recalled now because NHTSA has determined that they may not stop in a short enough distance in some circumstances. A total of 114,996 vehicles, mostly 2021 models with a few 2022s, will be recalled starting in early January. Yes dealer has car and told be it need booster. This was bought less than a month . I dont think it was look at with ford gold certified. Found out it was in shop late july august by previse buyer. They coverd it up never gave me sheet what was look at.

Vehicle brought in for Brake Recall at 11k miles. After service completed, vehicle has a loud screech when vehicle is in reverse or in a tight turn radius. No warning lamps or symptoms before this issue occurred. Vehicle is being brought back to dealership for further inspection.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that on numerous occasions while driving at various speeds, the instrument panel intermittently illuminated and then went blank. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact was advised by the technician that the panel was rebooting independently; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and sent a video of the failure; however, the contact had not received a call back from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 2,723
Our vehicle has multiple issues with it's brakes since we purchased the vehicle in December of 2021. Initially, when we would use our brakes while in reverse, the brakes would make a groaning sound (this started around January of 2022). We assumed it had something to do with the recall announced about the brakes of the vehicle and waited for parts to become available to get the brakes fixed. We finally got our brakes replaced once parts became available, but this did not fix the rear brake sound. The dealership replaced the rear brakes and the noise stopped. We brought the vehicle home and the front brakes began to squeal when using them while in drive. We called the dealership and let them know and they said to bring it back in. We brought the vehicle in, they replaced the front brakes and by the time we got home, the brakes were squealing again. We called the dealership, they had us bring the vehicle in again to inspect it, and confirmed they heard the squealing but they would not be performing a service until they confirmed with Ford if they should replace the rotors. Two weeks later, we get the call to bring back the vehicle to replace the rotors. We bring it in, get rotors replaced and brought the vehicle home. After 4 days, our vehicle began to make the same squeal sound on our brakes while in drive, and make some sort of groaning sound when we came to a complete stop. Ford employees seem to not be able to fix this issue and seem frustrated with us that we keep calling and asking for help.
Vehicle completely shut down while driving. No working lights and unable to put vehicle in neutral. Was stuck in a lane of traffic with nothing working. Same issue happened less than 2 weeks ago, dealership had the vehicle for 7 days and said they found nothing wrong and couldn’t fix it. Tow truck driver told us it was the second Bronco he tower in 2 days with the same problem.
My car has around 13,000 miles and my heat started to not work. I took it to the ford dealer shop and it has been at the mechanic for over 1 month. They are replacing the water coolant. I read in forums that several people have had issues with the water coolant as well. I am unsure when the car will be ready
Vehicle experienced power terrain failure causing vehicle to stop while driving in the middle of the road meanwhile cars avoid hitting my vehicle. I had my [XXX] old in the backseat at the time and this incident could have caused injury or possibly death. Vehicle has also experienced accelerator issues. Vehicle would lag 3-5 seconds for vehicle accelerator to speed up when pressing on accelerator. Fortunately no major accidents, but I am concerned that the issues I have experienced thus far with the Bronco 2021, it can potentially cause a major accident that can possibly cause injury or death. Through Ford Pass app I do recieve warning messages of mechanical issue at time of incident. Vehicle has been inspected and mechanical issues corrected at the dealership. Every morning or when it’s raining out the breaks make a horrible loud grinding noise on when hitting the breaks as you back up. My concern is that these breaks are oxidizing super quickly as this started happening only after a few months of owning my new car. I have had many cars and mostly used cars and never have I heard this horrible noise when breaking while backing up. I feel like these are going to degrade severely quickly.
Vehicle completely shut down. Nothing would work.
I HAD RECALL DONE A FEW MONTHS BACK REGARDING MY BREAKS. BREAKS ALWAYS SOUND HORRIBLE WHEN MY VEHICLE IS COLD. WHEN THE RECALL WAS DONE THEY SOUND EVEN WORST. FORD PARTS ARE THE WORST. IM EMBARRASSED EVERY TIME I LEAVE MY DRIVEWAY. DUE TO THE LOUD NOISE. I TOOK MY CAR TO MARINA FORD ON OCTOBER 2022 BECAUSE THE ENGINE SOUNDS HORRIBLE. IT SHAKES. I FEEL LIKE I WILL GET STRANDED. THE DEALER TECH TOLD ME THEY DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING AVAILABLE UNTIL JANUARY 2, 2023. ONCE JANUARY CAME THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT PROVIDE RENTAL CARS. IM SCARED TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE. I DRIVE FOR A LIVING WITH PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. WE ARE PUT IN DANGER EVERY TIME I DRIVE. I HAVE SEVERAL VIDEOS ON HOW MY ENGINE TREMBLES, I AM PUTTING MYSELF AND MY CONSUMERS AT RISK. PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE MY PROBLEM. FORD IS NOT HELPING ME SINCE THERE FAMILY OWN DEALERS. I WOULD APPREACIATE A RESPONSE. THANKS
The doors on my vehicle are buckling. There are ripples in the sheet metal on all four doors where the metal meets the window glass. It appears to be some type of structural issue. Im worried if these doors are buckling under normal wear and tear im concerned if they are structurally sound if the vehicle were involved in a accident? Is the cause of this issue metal fatigue? I am not an engineer but there is obviously an issue with these doors that may be some type of safety issue. I brought this to the attention of Ford and they acknowledged the issue. They took photos of the issue but have not come up with a solution. While at the dealership having my vehicle inspected I observed several other Ford Broncos with the same issue. I provided photos of the issue but I must admit it is difficult to see.
Vehicle brought into dealership for Brake Recall. After this service, vehicle had loud metallic grinding sound when turning hard to the right under moderate acceleration. Vehicle was brought back to the dealership the next day, and the determination was there was damage to the Rear Differential due to a lubrication issue. The dealership added more fluid and a noise reducer fluid, and returned the vehicle a week later. Issue still persists, though not as loud as before. No warning lamps or messages appeared. Only symptom was grinding / surging of transmission when turning, and upon initial acceleration
I was waiting to turn at a red light when the engine shut down and I lost all power including all lights and locking mechanisms. I was unable to get it off the road because it was locked in gear. It had to be towed and dropped off at the dealer. It is still there at this time.
Had a recall done on my brakes because of the noise vehicle was making when going in reverse and difficulty and stopping. Brakes were replaced but current brakes do not work well and threw off a lot of dust did not fix the noise when going in reverse not sure if it needs rotors or if there’s another issue with the brakes recall not resolved
The contact owned a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at 55 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently drove off the roadway and caught fire. The fire started from the front of the vehicle. The air bags were deployed. The contact sustained a broken hip, injuries to her pelvis, left clavicle, and right rib, as well as a head injury causing a minor brain bleed. Medical attention was received. The fire department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. The contact was unaware if a fire department report had been filed. The vehicle was towed to an unknown location, where it was deemed totaled by the insurance company. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
Failed Window Assembly in Tail Gate resulting in broken tail gate window. Driving on A1A, Melbourne Beach FL, 630 am September 20th, 2022 45 mph heard very loud boom and saw that the high pressure cylinders that lift the back window blew apart and shattered the tail gate window obstructing my vision out of the rear window. The spontaneous combustions of the window assembly blew up and almost made me loose control of the vehicle. Nothing hit the window from inside or outside of the car. This car has been in maintenance on three other occasions to have the electrically operated systems repaired. I believe this is a manufacture defect. There is no explanation how this serious incident occurred and I fear for my safety driving this vehicle. I have filed a BBB Auto Claim, case number [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
When accelerating, there is a lag in shifting. The engine revs, but the vehicle doesn’t move, like it’s in neutral. This happens in normal mode, eco mode, and sport mode (the only modes tested so far). There is also a grinding noise sometimes when vehicle is lit in “Drive”. This is a safety problem, because it happened as my wife was turning onto a busy road, and the vehicle would not accelerate. Had to take foot off accelerator, then try acceding again a few times to finally get vehicle to start moving.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving 20-30 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The transmission warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where an oil change was completed. The contact then drove across the street and parked the vehicle. Upon restarting the vehicle, the vehicle experienced a rough start. The contact was able to drive; however, the vehicle failed to respond while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. A message indicating to park and restart the engine was displayed. The contact drove back to the independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was no engine oil. Additionally, the independent mechanic diagnosed that the engine had failed and needed to be rebuilt. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V191000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) which he associated with the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.
Vehicle got stuck in gear while traveling on highway. I would accelerate and the RPMs would shoot up but I was losing speed. I had to pull over, turn off the car and turn it back on. Some Ford dealerships told me they won’t even look at the transmission while others have a two week lead time to just look at it. I have no other cars to drive yet may or may not be offered a loaner depending on the problem. This is a huge safety risk because I can’t be going highway speeds and then lose speed and be going 25mph on a 55mph road! I am still waiting to get my car seen and there were no lights that showed on the dash.
