The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH, the hood of the vehicle was slightly shuddering. The contact stated that the failure occurred increasingly while driving 50 MPH and at higher speeds. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled for diagnostic tests. The vehicle was diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000. The VIN was unavailable.
The car started chugging check engine light came on car studdered before actually turning over.
Like all the other complaints my 2021 Bronco Sport (Badlands) makes the worst LOUD noise when backing up and braking. It is not a little noise, it is a "wake up the neighbors" noise and it is hard not to flinch every time we get in the car and it sets the tone. Then we have to explain to everyone. That noise wouldn't happen if something wasn't very wrong with the car!!! I am shocked to see so many complaints and nothing is being done to protect drivers. This is not a cheap vehicle and I have owned Expeditions, an Edge, and F150's. Ford was a favorite until now. This happens every time not once in a while.
Traveling with cruise control set at 78mph. Service engine light came on without warning and vehicle couldn’t maintain speed. Exited highway to determine what was wrong. Pulled into gas station parking lot and the power brakes failed. The vehicle had two recalls for brakes serviced on 7/7/22. The vehicle is being towed to a dealership as the vehicle had less than 12,400 miles and has been owned less than one year. Any/all components available for inspection. If driver had not had wherewithal to exit highway when they did, there certainly could have been a fatality incident.
MAKES A LOUD MOANING SOUND WHEN REVERSING AFTER VEHICLE HAS SAT FOR A FEW HOURS. BRAKE PADS ARE FINE, DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN BRAKING WHILE GOING FORWARD. ONLY BRAKING WHILE GOING IN REVERSE.
Catastrophic engine failure 16 AUG 2022. Ford Bronco Sport with the 2.7 engine, some 2,800 miles, towed to repair facility Austin TX, can be inspected there, notify for details. Safety of all at risk, car in "deep sleep" with no warning, fortunately not yet on interstate highway from residential/small business area. Multiple warning signals appeared in vehicle only as engine in death throes. This problem, we find, is now under investigation by the NHTSA. No information on fix by Ford but appears to require full engine replacement under warranty. Inspection underway today at non-Ford repair facility. Note: Vehicle operated by New Mexico owner's adult daughter in Austin TX.
After I turned on the car, unbeknownst to me, the Ford Bronco stayed revved up and it did not slow down. I then switched from park to reverse and the Bronco went so fast (>4000rpm) that I ended up hitting the tree so hard that the tree was uprooted. The car was not driveable and it had to be towed. This is under progressive insurance claim: 22-3913700. The insurance company would not check the "inside" of the car (etc...transmission, electrical, etc...) as they say this is prior to the accident. I have called the Ford dealership for assistance several times to report this and for them to take a look at the inside of the car, but they have not returned my messages.
The wind shields on these vehicles are cracking in abundance. My Bronco wind shield cracked on the passenger side from the edge across the window. No rock hit it. I just came out one morning and it was cracked. I've read many complaints on line from owners having this problem. Now you can't get new wind shields because there have been so many issues, they are on back order. I tried to contact Ford but they referred me to you. I do not believe this is normal.
Around 08/22 backup camera failed and now there is a dent in the tailgate area. I have documentation from the dealership, finally that the backup camera was not working properly. On about May 23, 2023, I stopped at a local grocery store for just a few items. When I came back out my car would not even attempt to turn over (approx. 24,000 miles). Had to wait three hours for roadside assistance to use a jump box to get it started (would not jump-start like a normal vehicle). The next morning it was dead again, and I had to call an Uber to get my child to school, not acceptable. I took it to the dealership again, and after three days they replaced the battery.....I had not even owned the vehicle for two years, it had 6 miles on it when I bought it, and it needs a new battery? Now it is 09/22/23, the dealership has had my car since the morning of 09/13/23 and I still don't have it back. There are issues with the safety features (lane departure doesn't work, front crash assist goes off randomly, backup camera STILL doesn't work half of the time, keep hands on steering wheel alert when both hands are on steering wheel, key not detected alert after I've been driving and the key is with me, stereo still playing when I disconnect the phone and exit out of all music apps on phone it just still plays music even music that I have never listened to). There is more but I cannot remember it all at the moment, and I don't have all of my records because they are with my car that I have not had in my possession in quite a while. DON'T BUY A BRONCO! BUY A JEEP!!!! That is what I have learned from this, my first and only Ford and I can't wait to go back to Mopar products. I have truly bought a lemon!
Within seconds of parking and turning off my vehicle I heard a loud pop and saw gray smoke billowing out from under the hood of my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. Within 10 minutes the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames and destroyed two other vehicles and did additional property damage. The fire investigator stated that the fire started in the lower right front of the engine compartment but many of the parts were now incinerated including the aluminum wheels that melted into a puddle. No warning lamps or other indicators were present. Insurance representatives are currently inspecting the vehicle.
When coming to a stop and pressing on the breaks it periodically will make s sound and then there is about a 2O SEC DELAY before coming to complete stop. If I am driving downhill the delay is longer. This scares my since I drive over 100 miles a day for work. I have reached out to FORD and the manufacture and they still do not have a fix to the issue.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the front belt and two coolant hoses needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
When backing up the bronco makes a noise like a whale! There are many 2021 and 2022 bronco sports that are doing this. To date Ford has not addressed the problem. They have offered me a maintenance contract and say they will cover anything thing related to this issue. They don’t seem to be able to identify the issue though. Has been looked at several times.
My 2021 Bronco Sport has a stress crack in the windshield and it is very concerning because on the Facebook forum, I am seeing tons of Bronco Sport owners having the same issue. Some owners are on their 2nd to 4th windshield. Ford is not taking responsibility for this issue and is having owners submit to their auto insurance. I’m very concerned for the safety and integrity of the windshields that are being put in these vehicles. I’m getting mine replaced but how can I trust that it won’t happen again. I’m very scared that it will shatter while driving.
FORD SAYS OFF ROAD BRONCO BULL I HAUL MAIL IN THE COUNRTY SO GRAVEL ROADS THE SHEILDS UNDER BREAK ALL THE TIME AND IT BREAKS THE E VAP CANISTER SO I HAVE TO REPLACE IT ON MY OWN THEY WILL NOT COVER IT NOT UNDER WARNNETY ABOUT A $1000.00 EVERYTIME IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while reversing at approximately 3 MPH, the contact depressed the brake pedal and there was a loud honking sound inside the cabin on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The contact stated that the noise was heard at start-up and while reversing and depressing the brake pedal. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact called a local dealer and was informed that the sound was not related to a recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been contacted but the contact was transferred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 7,982.
MY ENGINE LIGHT ON AGAIN EVAP CANISTER FORD DOES NOT WARNNETY IT. NEED THE OIL RECALLED DONE BUT MY FORD DEALER SHIP WILL NOT DO IT SO RUNNING IT WITH ENGINE LIGHT ON VO RECALLED DONE AND WIPER WASHER DOES NOT SPRAY, CAN NOT GET ANYTHING DONE BY MY FORD DEARLER SHIP
The contact's husband owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while reversing, the vehicle made an abnormal bumping and squealing sound. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the squealing sound was caused by the brake pad material, and the bumping sound was caused by the brake calipers and rotor material. The dealer informed the contact the failure was a manufacturing defect. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while in reverse(R), there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions. The contact stated that unknown repairs were performed on the vehicle, but the vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle remained unrepaired until further repair information was provided. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.
While driving on surface and freeway, the vehicle dramatically loses fuel pressure and slows down. It's a hazard. Nearly rear-ended on the highway. After a while, pressure resumes, only to fail randomly. No warning or malfunction indicators appear. Vehicle has been at a Ford service center 2 times and is there again, now. First, they changed the battery. Then they told us we didn't drive it enough. Suspiciously, there's a recall addressing the exact same issue on the same make and model, made at a different plant. Perhaps it's related? NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V625000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while reversing, there was a loud squealing sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who inspected the braking system but was unable to determine the cause of the failure, or where the sound was coming from. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 1,000.
I had my vehicle taken to address its recall on the breaks. Within a few weeks time, my vehicle began creating excessive break dust on the front breaks and began making a grinding sound when backing up. I had my vehicle brought back into the dealership to have those items looked at and staff brushed this all off as being normal. However, the breaks never behaved this way before the "recall fix" and I'm concerned that all of these issues may point to a bigger issue. Did I buy a lemon or is this truly normal?
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while reversing, there was an abnormal grinding noise detected coming from the brakes. While driving at various speeds around a curb, the steering wheel was jerking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 9,000.
The windshield is weak, I have 3 cracks and multiple divets within 6 months of purchase.
When trying to start my new Ford Bronco with 3000 miles on it in my driveway , the vehicle would not start and there were no lights on the dashboard , everything was black . When the vehicle was jumped , it started , but the console and radio was still black and when you put the car in drive it just stalled out. The tow truck came and could not put the vehicle in neutral so he had to drag the car onto the bed of the truck . It was taken to the dealership and they had the vehicle for a week and said they could not find a problem and after a few days the vehicle just started working. I read online that this same incident is happening to many Bronco owners and this is something that really needs to be fixed by Ford.
The car is stalling on hills!then the car restarts and goes!my auto parking brake automatically comes on and you cannot get it to release! And I have notice the car wanting g to ride to the right of the rd !
I was driving in Atlanta in 4 lanes of heavy traffic. My new Bronco just started slowing down and I was almost killed by traffic swerving around me. The message said deactivated switch and fuel injector faulty. Then Bronco completely stopped and would not crank. 100 degree heat in bad part of town. Stranded and scared. After being towed, the deactivated switch replaced in Ford dealership in Georgia. No loaner given. After 2 weeks at my expense, I get car back. 2 months later it happens again. Now, it’s in dealership for third time for 2 more weeks. Waiting to hear what’s wrong. The dealership has ordered fuel injector replacements. This is a brand new Bronco with about 4k miles. I am distressed and disappointed.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the contact noticed a delay while depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the front brake pads were replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and agreed to replace the front brake pads; however, the rear brake pads were not replaced. The failure mileage was 100,000.
The contact's daughter owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while the driver was driving at various speeds, the rear end of the vehicle made an abnormal grinding sound and shuddered. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the rear differential unit fluid needed to be replaced and a vent tube needed to be installed in the rear differential unit. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer informed the contact that the repair would be covered. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V011000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 5,000.
Purchased 2021 Ford Bronco Sport in 9/21 and was made aware of safety recall from Ford in 12/21 stating problem with front brakes to be repaired 2nd quarter of 2022. Took vehicle to dealership 4/22 and replaced front pads only. Took vehicle back 2 weeks later due to grinding noise coming from brakes and reduced braking distance. When the vehicle was inspected told nothing is wrong when clearly the vehicle is not safe.
I was driving and a warning came up on the driver console that the I believe blind spot detection system malfunctioned (it happened really fast) and some of the lights on the dash went off. Then everything went dark on the dash and center console screen. The center console screen just said "Vehicle Network Communication Error". I turned off the car and the car would not turn back on after that. This happened while driving and could be very dangerous while driving especially at night. The Pictured attached is with the car on, before I turned it off. Once I turned it off that screen stayed on all night with that message with a few accessory lights.
Issue with brakes - the vehicle has been at the dealership 4 times with no resolution to the noise coming from rear brakes and now the brakes seem to lock up at a stop and release suddenly creating a safety issue for my family and the motoring public. After the last attempt the noise is a lot worse then it was prior to the repairs recommended by Ford's TSB
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V922000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
I have a brake recall related to a safety defect. The car does not stop quick enough at highways speeds, however ford has not offered a remedy in a timely manner. I have been to 4 different Ford dealerships with no success. All four have informed me it would take a week to get the part, to later change the answer and say its unavailable on backorder. I can't get my brakes repaired. Additionally, the back door does not lock under any circumstances. The car is unsafe and unsecure from the inside and out.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received recalls notifications for NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 21V922000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulics) and 22V191000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). However, the parts to do the recalls repairs were not yet available. An unknown local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts for both recalls repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for recalls repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
I started my car on 2/15. Drove about .5 miles down the street through a fast food place. Drove another .9 miles down the street. I heard a pop and pulled over immediately and the car was already on fire. The car had around 3542 miles on it. I had just leased it in September. Ford says this was the only vehicle that this has happened too. The inspection is happening with the insurance company as well as Ford Motor Company. No prior issues and no warning signs on the car before the fire.
problems with the engine loses power and a message appears on the screen of the bus that says "transmission system failure" from the 1st day I bought it and the ford does not solve my problem.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal sound coming from the front brakes. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was determined that the vehicle had sat for too long, the brake pads, and rotors were corroded, and the rear caliber bushings and rotor assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired five times, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.

Unknown. When backing up there is a howling sound while applying the brakes. The cause maybe the brake linings or rotors.
Both interior liftgate lights inoperative. However, the "liftgate ajar light", and came on without warning as I was driving. I had not opened the litigate. Radio system skips & pops. fails to load tor loads slowly. Brakes failed to fully engage quickly on a slow turn, causing a total loss accident. Vehicle has 645 miles on it. I love my Bronco Sport. But..is it safe to drive if I order a new one? Can there be a cross check done by VIN to ensure I'm not getting one with the same problem? Specifically, the brakes? The brake issue worries me Please advise. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, [XXX]. Vehicle purchased at Pundmann Ford, Saint Charles. Vehicle has a recall and manufacturer is not able to fix this. When asked about the timelines within which it can be fixed, ford mentioned that it would be more than 6 months. More than 6 months is not a reasonable time when there is a risk of crash. I wanted ford to either replace the vehicle or provide a rental car. They are not able to do that either. So I have to either take risk and continue driving the vehicle which might result in a crash or not use the vehicle for more than 6 months. Neither of those seem reasonable. Need ford to provide a solution to the problem instead of simply neglecting the request.
