Bought 12-1-23 got recall 24V-267 fix and then the vehicle started to die at red lights if the autostart/stop wasn't turned off. On 12/9/24 apparently the turbo went out. Unsure how only 95,345 miles. The driver window get stuck down anytime at a drive thru. Will have to turn off vehicle completely and restart for it to roll back up.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while driving at 80 MPH, a warning message displayed reading "Service charging system soon", after which the infotainment system intermittently functioned properly. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the alternator harness. The vehicle was repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train); the VIN was included and the vehicle had already been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 36,000.
Vehicle would not start on two occasions, both times the vehicle was jumped and started. On the third occasion the car would not start, the electrical panel flashed all the warning lights and the dashboard continually flashed on and off. It was towed to the Ford Dealership in Oxford, MS in December 2024. The dealership looked over the car, no other issues and advised that this was likely a recall and recommended a battery replacement which I did. I paid $202.65 for the repairs and in February I received a notice for 12 Volt battery recall but no instructions were provided to seek reimbursement nor was there any recall fix given (time was Q2 2025). The instrumental panel upon attempting to the start the vehicle would light up but the engine would not turn over, all warning lights would come on. Yes the vehicle is available for inspection.
As I was driving the vehicle it lost all power. Nothing on it worked, including the locks and windows. It turns out that the warning system that my battery was low wasn’t functioning and my battery was down to 5%. If I had gotten notice I could have replaced the battery prior to the car literally bricking as I was driving it on a busy city street.
August 2024 had multiple instances where the Bronco Sport would stall out while driving, had to maneuver to the side of the road, turn the vehicle completely off, and try multiple times to restart the vehicle. Jack Demmer Ford sent a technician to our house to flash the Powertrain Control Module and Body Control Module. We saw the Part 573 Safety Recall Report 24V-267, where these modules were undercharging the battery, causing the stalling of the vehicle. The vehicle stalled out two more times after the update and has continued to run thereafter. On [XXX], Bronco Sport was struck from behind on the driver's side rear tire, car came to rest against the back axle. There was damage to the axle, rear quarter panel, tail light, and aligned rear tailgate. The vehicle battery was disconnected 12-15 times during the work, we would get messages on the app that "Remote features disabled to preserve battery" as they worked on the vehicle. The vehicle was finally ready on [XXX], for pickup. Drove the car approximately 22 miles and parked in the garage. The following morning we went to start the Bronco and there was a loud bang when we pushed the start button, and all electrical features were dead. We had to vacate the vehicle, all the power features were dead, unload, and take another vehicle for travel. When we returned on [XXX], I popped open the hood and discovered battery damage. Battery acid leaked out into a 5-foot puddle on the garage floor, power steering reservoir drained also. [XXX] had Jack Demmer Ford tow the vehicle back to their facility, they charged for inspection and denied any responsibility for battery failure. Had to have the battery replaced so they could fix the rear damage that was not done correctly the first time. This caused another claim to be filed with insurance. Now Ford is recalling Bronco's due to battery concerns. Continuous undercharging of lead battery causes sulfation, shortening battery life. While in reverse when you press on the breaks they squeal.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine seized. The contact's wife attempted to restart the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to start as intended. In addition, the contact stated that the failure occurred on a busy freeway. The contact stated that a Police Officer assisted the contact's wife due to the failure. The vehicle was towed to a business parking lot and was then towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with battery failure. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the battery control module and the power control module were previously recalibrated under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds and while in reverse, the instrument panel occasionally flickered. The battery failure warning light illuminated intermittently. In addition, the contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the engine failed to turn over. AAA was contacted and arrived on the scene to replace the battery. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to the cost. Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
I bought a 2021 Bronco Sport Brand new and ever since the car has been a problem. The rear axle wasn’t getting enough lubricants so it was grinding and I didn’t know what it was at the time but I took it to a Ford dealership and was told after spending 200$ on diagnostic testing that absolutely nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle kept doing the same thing grinding noises so I took it in again and got the same results now mind you this is way before my power train was up. The car felt so unstable and unsafe it got to the point where I had to just leave it at the dealership until Ford could help me with some financial assistance. While at the dealership Ford told the mechanic to check the transmission and upon checking the transmission the mechanic found a problem. The total of repairs came up to over 10k for a vehicle that doesn’t even have 65k miles on it. I was sold a brand new lemon. This was my first new car purchase and it has literally been the worst experience in my life. The brakes were recalled the fuel injection system now the battery which I’ve already spent 500$ on a new one last year has guess what? Been recalled as of 1/17/2025. So after thousands of dollars in rental car and Uber rides which I have yet to be reimbursed for my vehicle is still at the Ford dealership has been there for over 3 months out of 10k in repairs Ford offered to pay only 4,100. What a rip off buying this junk was. I really thought Ford would do the right thing and take care of its customers but I was wrong dead wrong. Biggest mistake of my like.
My vehicle was emitting fumes into my vehicle and making a strange noise. When I took it to the dealership they tested the emissions/catalytic converter and fuel injectors. Which all showed no issues. When investigating further, they found that the weld on the catalytic converter had broke and was causing an unstable catalytic converter. Service manager reported to me that he felt this was definitely a manufactured defect and said if I hit a bear that shouldn’t have been an issue. No bear was hit and there was NO incident at all. Just driving to and from work.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but was unable to confirm when the parts would become available. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked and attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that there was smoke coming from the engine compartment. The Fire Department was called, and the engine temperature was checked inside and outside the vehicle and it was determined that the engine had overheated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed and it was determined that the water pump was leaking, the alternator had overheated, and the battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 32,468.
My 2021 Bronco Sport suddenly died on [XXX]. The parking brake engaged unexpectedly, locking all four brakes and resulting in a significant skid mark. An error message flashed: “Park Not Available. Apply Park Brake Before Exiting,” and the park gear light blinked. I turned off the engine again, but the car was dead when I tried to restart it. After getting a jump start, the car turned on. However, the parking brake engaged again shortly after. I was able to drive it off the road. My wife, a research librarian, found that many others have reported issues related to “Sudden Death Syndrome." See below. [XXX] [XXX] ). The car was towed from PA, where we were visiting, to Stanford Ford, where we purchased it on [XXX]. On 11/13, the dealership told us there was a short circuit in the wiring connected to the solenoid and estimated $900.00 for labor. At noon on 11/15, the technician was test-driving the car. By 4:17 PM, I was told it was ready. 5 min. later, they told me it wasn't ready due to another issue. At 11:15am on 11/18, we were informed the issue was a short circuit in the transmission, costing $13,000. How is that possible? The car is only three years old! We've faced many recalls with this car, the last just this past August, but the most dangerous issue is the unexpected engagement of the parking brakes, causing chaotic behavior. Given the number of similar incidents, it's hard to believe there hasn't been a recall. We could have been injured or even killed if we had been driving over 40 mh and driving in heavy traffic, or worse, on the highway. The contact's son owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that the exterior mirror housing on the driver’s and passenger’s side mirrors had started to melt due to sunlight exposure. The contact had called two dealers and was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty. The contact sent a letter with pictures to the manufacturer and received a letter back stating that the cost of repair would not be covered. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure by phone and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,500.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that upon attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start and was jumpstarted. The message "Battery Saver Mode" was displayed on the infotainment system screen. Additionally, the contact stated that failure had caused the engine auto Start-Stop system to become inoperable, causing the engine to not restart automatically while attempting to resume driving from a complete stop. The contact stated that she had deactivated the engine auto Start-Stop system. The contact stated that upon accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle hesitated to respond. The vehicle was taken to Advance Auto, where the battery was tested, and the contact was informed that the battery was in good condition and did not need to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the battery replacement was recommended; however, the dealer informed the contact that there was no guarantee that the battery replacement would correct the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while her daughter was starting the vehicle, there was a loud sound before the vehicle lost power. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 45,500.
Battery failed exactly as described in Ford recall 25S02 NHTSA# 25V019. On 11/1/24 drove vehicle 125 miles home on a return trip and parked car in garage. Morning of 11/2/24, vehicle would not start, battery is dead. Tried to charge battery with external charger, would not take a charge. Called dealer, scheduled appointment for 11/4/24. Morning of 11/4/24, started vehicle with a jump box, took vehicle to dealer. Vehicle would not start when shut off at Dealer. Lucky have made it there, I had shut off the auto restart vie dash button, if I had not shut it off, I would have been stranded at my first traffic stop. Dealer determined it was a failed battery, replaced it at a cost of $510 as vehicle was 2 weeks out of warranty. I reluctantly paid the $510. I was lucky that the vehicle did not start running on that (11/1/25) 125 mile drive, the battery was almost dead at the end of the trip, and of course, it would have stalled when battery got too low. There were in-dash warning messages about low battery near the end of the trip. Ford and the dealership won't reimburse me for the $510. They state that they have to test the battery under the recall, even though that original battery was disposed of by the dealership. Dealership wants to test the 2 month old replacement battery under the recall before they can do anything about a refund. That makes no sense, the replacement almost certainly will test ok.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made abnormal sounds. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who discovered that the rear shock was leaking fluid. The contact was informed that the rear end and shocks needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
Brakes Made loud squeaks noise when in reverse. Have taken into dealer multiple times and not fixed. They say an issue with Bronco Sports but my vin does not show on recall. Worried about brake failures or issues that could arise. They replaced front rotors and deglazed pads. Spent 462.19 and problem never fixed.
The evaporative emissions system failure involving the purge valve and vapor canister purge valve is a recurrent issue on this car and has been reported by hundreds if not thousand of bronco sport owners. The safety issue that arises from this is that we are emitting more fuel vapors into the atmosphere, not only does this not help with emissions control into the atmosphere, but it decreases fuel efficiency and increases gasoline smell into the vehicles cabin.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while approaching a stop light at 45 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, and the vehicle stalled. No warning lights were illuminated, and the contact was forced to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The local Police Department arrived at directed traffic around the vehicle until a tow truck was able to tow the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V019000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) as probable cause for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
The car went completely dead when I was stopped at a red light. There was no power and I couldn’t put it into park. There was no indicator light nor warning that there was a problem with the battery. This put me into great risk of being hit by another car as traffic started to worsen and cars were trying to go around me. Police came and got me out of the car and because they could not get the car into gear they called and had it towed. I incurred the cost of the tow as well as the cost of the battery and the labor to install it. I tried to get reimbursed from the dealership but they said they couldn’t help me abc suggested instead that I don’t use the auto stop/start because it was draining the battery which caused it to not have enough power to restart at the red light. This was a very frightening experience as it was in another city other than my own and it was just on the other side of a bridge during traffic hour.
My ford bronco stalled when I was slowing down at a traffic light. The entire car shutdown. The steering wheel locked up and the car could not be put into neutral. After about 15 minutes the car was able to turn on again. The stalling out at an intersection put me in danger by putting me in a situation where I was stuck in active traffic without the ability to move my car to a safe area off of the main road. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the car completely shutting off at the traffic light.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle sputtered while accelerating or making a left or right turn. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with a failed high-pressure purge valve. The high-pressure purge valve was replaced. The contact stated that after the repair, the check engine warning light remained illuminated, and the vehicle seemed as if the vehicle was going to stall after refueling the vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, who diagnosed a failed high-pressure sensor for the fuel injector. The vehicle was repaired, but the check engine warning light remained illuminated. While driving approximately 5 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, where the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed failures with the alternator and suspension. The contact had the vehicle towed to a certified mechanic who completed the repairs. The contact stated that the vehicle had not experienced the failures again; however, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Medford Ford Inc, (186 NJ-70, Medford, NJ 08055); who determined that the coolant reservoir was empty. The coolant reservoir was refilled. The dealer also retrieved DTC: P3402. The check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact learned of a Customer Satisfaction Program however, the vehicle was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was unknown.
My car was stopped at a red light and when I hit the gas to go my entire car shut off. I was not able to turn my hazards on or put my car in neutral to push my car out of traffic. This is a huge safety concern because a car could’ve rear ended me since I wasn’t able to put hazards on. I attempted to jumpstart the vehicle but that didn’t work. I had to get my car towed and sent to the dealership. The issue sounds like the recall notice 24S24 - however my bronco sport says I don’t have any recalls. After talking to other bronco sport owners who had similar issues, they said they had to pay several hundred dollars to replace the battery with an AGM battery because the bronco sport isn't equipped to handle all the electronics.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, there was an abnormal vibrating sound coming from the moon roof. The contact stated that the moon roof started to bend inward and required to be held up manually. The contact then closed the moonroof. The contact contacted an independent mechanic and was informed that it was a known failure. The mechanic referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while the daughter was driving at approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle suddenly lost automotive power. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the rear differential and transmission had failed and both needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 70,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact had received notification of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train); and the vehicle was taken to the dealer to be repaired. The contact stated that 4 months later, while stopped and idling at a stop light, the vehicle lost power. The contact was unable to use any of the features or systems within the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed and determined that the battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 25,000.
My car made a loud pop noise when I go to turn it over. Then it was just dead others tried to jump it, but it wasn’t getting enough juice. Along with this all the warning signals start flashing through on the dash before basically dying. There had been warning at all early I had been driving around just fine. When we finally get to the dealership they say it was just the battery. We replace the battery but I see that other 2021 bronco sport’s had battery recall issues they said, mine didn’t fall under the date when the bad ones were produced. Still I think they should look at other dates, since they might have been over looked or on the cusps of the dates between the bad batteries and the good batteries.
When turning at low speeds like a drive-thru or in a parking lot, the vehicle makes a skipping or grabbing sound and pulls/lurches slightly until the wheels are straightened. Recommended fix was replacing a front differential ventilation hose, which is not covered by bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranty, and not a guarantee to fix the issue.
[XXX]. about 3 months ago my wife started to smell what she referred to as raw gas odor in the cabin of car. took it to dealership, nothing found. then again complaint of odor in cabin. nothing found. then again smell in cabin. nothing found. I drove the car 40, mils. on errons. had a after oil smell like a oil breather was disconnected. dealership nothing found. wife it smells bad in cabin of car. my truck went in for service, I took the bronco to work, had to have the windows rolled down. on the way home it was real bad. called Ford Moter company. was told to take to another dealer. called our dealer asked for the owner. not around asked for number 2 he was told him we were done. he said he would find the problem. he did the catalytic converter had a crack somewhere. I had to drive with the window down. I am a professional truck driver with over 3 million miles. what if this happened to a mom with kids in the dead of winter. the bronco will be picked up tomorrow after several complaints and several months. I have a case # from the motor company [XXX] . the last may be an [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
REAR DIFFERENTIAL- CAR IS SHUDDERING WHILE TURNING- SAFETY ISSUE
The vehicle has been in the shop since day one with many many problems! The TURBO failed under warranty so they replaced it without doing proper procedures. A few months later the turbo failed again out of warranty but this time cracked the head causing damages I can not afford!! The vehicle is sitting at the dealership not fixed!! I want out of this lemon!!! I tried getting them to buy it back when I took it to the shop three different times due to break issues they could not fix but a Ford representative told me it "had too many miles" I work out of this vehicle and have not been able to work now for three months!! Note...after the first TURBO was replaced I told the dealership the vehicle was loosing antifreeze but all they did was pressure check the radiator. A few months later engine failure due to turbo failure!!
Rear Belt Monitor Fault continues to be an issue. We received this warning light and supposedly had this repaired in October of 2024. The dealership replaced the rear seat belt buckle and reset the codes. This worked for a while but now is happening again. Additionally, we are receiving an airbag warning related to the rear belt monitor. When driving even short distances the warning light appears on screen maybe 5 or 6 times. If a seat belt is disconnected there is no audible warning alert or light to let the driver know that it is not in use. I believe this may be a faulty restraint control module rather than an actual seat belt issue. This is definitely a safety issue regarding restraints and airbags. I've heard of this issue in several Bronco sports, and Mavericks.
My 2021 Bronco Sport has had its water pump replaced 3 times and today I discovered the one put on in July 2024 is failing again. Each time it starts to fail there are no warning lights for low coolant. If your not actually checking the coolant reservoir under to hood consumers have no idea the water pump is leaking and failing until it's possibly too late and your vehicle overheats possibly causing more issues. This is a known issue by Ford, but no recall has been issued nor have these faulty water pumps been redesigned or updated to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, you see no coolant drippings where you park due to the fabric skid plate that covered underneath absorbing the coolant as it leaks out.
While waiting in the drop off line at school the Bronco suddenly shut off and would not restart. The dash lights, AC controls, radio, etc all shut off as if the entire electrical system shut down. The orange pull strap used to put the vehicle in neutral did not work as the electrical shutdown seemed to have locked up the brakes. Fortunately since it happened in a school zone traffic was slow moving and we did not have to worry about getting hit. Unfortunately, the vehicle was stuck in the middle of the road an unmovable until a tow truck came. After some quick research I've seen that this is a fairly common occurrence in the 2021 Bronco Sport. I used the Ford site to check the VIN but supposedly my vehicle was not affected by any recalls. Seems more than a coincidence that I have experienced exactly what others describe yet I'm unaffected by any recalls. I am now extremely concerned to have my wife and children in a car that could potentially shut off at any time and lock up the brakes. If this were to have happened on the highway who knows how many people may have been injured or killed. Prior to the incident there were no warnings, no warning notifications, nothing. Currently the vehicle is at the dealership who is charging a premium to diagnose the issue and replace the battery.
My transmission is slipping and the vehicle is sputtering at take off. There is a burning smell from the engine of my Bronco Sport. I have seen recall issues on other 2021 Ford Bronco Sports but my VIN is not included. It says that Ford issued for 2021-2024 Bronco Sport for transmission issues. Stating that the transmission park system may have been damaged during assembly. Dealer is saying I need new torque and valve body. Other Bronco Sport customers are also reporting the same issue on Bronco Forum. This vehicle is needed for transportation to and from work for my son.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V019000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the Auto START/STOP technology failed to start the vehicle while depressing the accelerator. The contact had to connect a portable charger to be able to restart the vehicle and continue driving. The failure recurred and the engine failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to a certified mechanic who diagnosed and determined that the battery was drained and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the part for the recall repair would be available approximately in April 2025. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 59,340. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the engine started overheating. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the water pump and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
Since the purchase of the Bronco Sport in 2021, I have intermittently taken it in for required service. However, there have been times when I have had to take it in for hearing noise coming from when I make turns, and it sounded like my break pads were making the sound of wear. A recent report did address the break pad concern, and they were replaced. Intuitively something told me to check my fluid levels and the engine air filter, along with the cabin air filter. They both needed replacing, which I did on my own. The mechanic who put on my break asked me questions about the Bronco, I explained to him that I was having issues with take off, and have had to take it in for recalls since make the purchase. He asked me to open the hood. What he found was oil leaking around was oil leaking around my turbo. I was shocked. Because it had not been long since it was serviced. I was told to not drive it too far because there were reports of some Broncos catching on fire. When I would take it in to Town AND Country Ford, where it was purchased, they would tell me that they could not find anything wrong repeatedly, supposedly one of the recalls was fixed. Yet, I still hear the noise when I make turns. Another Ford dealership around the corner from where I live and I decided to take it there to see if I could get different results. No help. They have changed my oil I hope. Then there is Bates Ford in Lebanon, Tennessee. I have taken it there for oil change and informed them of issues. This is the last dealership who inspected the Bronco. They did not tell me about the oil leak. I drive 10 miles to work weekly. 100 miles every other month to visit elderly relatives. So, I have not put too much wear and tear on the Bronco and do not drive it hard. Please, If you are able to help in this area, it is much appreciated. I have 54,000 miles on it
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V019000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was not made aware of the issue. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the accelerator was pedal was depressed, and the vehicle failed to respond. The message “Charge System Soon” was displayed. The vehicle stalled and lost power. The contact called Roadside Assistance, and Roadside Assistance jumpstarted the vehicle and the contact was referred to Auto Zone. The contact purchased a battery. The dealer contacted the contact about an unknown recall. The contact informed the service technician that the instrument panel had become inoperable, and the sensors were not activated. The contact then received a notification letter and contacted the dealer and was informed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, an alarm was intermittently activated associated with the Forward Collision Avoidance system while there were no other vehicles nor objects nearby. The engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and was diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the radar sensor system was replaced previously. Upon further investigation, the contact related to failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V982000 (Forward Collision Avoidance); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. When I came to a stop (stop sign) the vehicle's complete electrical system shut down, all went black. I couldn't turn on hazard lights or anything. (seems related to the recall notice). I waited to see if any change occurred, attempted restart, but nothing was operable. I connected a jump start battery and successfully restarted the car... all seemed ok afterward. This seems life endangering as a potential hazard.
I was in the turning lane at a light and the Bronco died completely. No power at all. The brakes were locked and I could not get in neutral. Police came to push the vehicle out of traffic but we didn’t know how to get into neutral. After googling that part we were able to push into a parking lot. I had to pay for a tow truck ($125) and towed to the dealer. When they called they said the Bronco went into safety mode because the battery was low. I said why didn’t the battery light go on. There was no warning just a dead vehicle at a busy intersection. We are lucky no one rear ended us because we had no access to the hazard lights. Dealer thinks that the auto start stop kicked in while waiting for the light and the battery didn’t have enough volts to start the vehicle again causing the whole car to shut down. Really that is a horrible feature because again it was dangerous to have cars angrily pull around you because you are sitting there. I couldn’t imagine with the car being black what would of happened at night! The dealer changed the battery and claimed there is no other issue even though the car gives no notice of anything wrong.
When in reverse the rear breaks give off a loud squealing noise. This vehicle has been brought back to the dealership 4 times so far with no solutions we just are told that’s what these vehicles do. Completely unacceptable for ford or any repair shop to say basically it is what it is. There is obviously a defect somewhere within the breaking system/products that ford used. Breaks should not be squealing like that and we shouldn’t have to be responsible to pay for new rear brakes, rotors, pistons and calipers to “see” if that fixes the problem. There are numerous complaints about the same issue and ford doesn’t seem to care and they continue to put out subpar vehicles.
2nd time my Bronco Sport has had an electrical failure . Has already gone thru recall and now has left me stranded again. 1st time in rush hour traffic and this time at 1 yr old son’s daycare.
I was exiting a store parking lot when my vehicle died and I lost the steering, hazard lights, ability to put it in neutral. It wouldn’t start, but the radio and air conditioning still was on. When I attempted to start everything would blink.
