I have experienced a loss of fuel pressure/engine stall on several occasions. I am not sure of the specific dates yet I had to add one on this form. There has been a recall since July 2025, for which Ford has acknowledged this increases the risk of a crash yet there is still no resolution. This is unacceptable, I have listed the recall numbers below. Manufacturer Recall Number 25S75 NHTSA Recall Number 25V455
I believe my vehicle has suffered a cracked/fractured or broken intake valve on cylinder number 4. There is very low compression in that cylinder. I checked it and it only managed to produce 25psi. I inspected the cylinder with a borescope camera and there is no damage or excessive wear to the piston or cylinder bore. They both look pristine with no signs of anything. I could not see either the intake or exhaust valves on my camera. They are the only pieces of the engine I could not inspect that could possible cause a compression issue. It is my understanding that ford is aware of an issue of this happening on some 2.7 Ecoboost engines?
RECALL REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE. Causing safety concerns while driving.
Good afternoon! My car started having issues going in reverse before I received the recall notification. It would nearly stall out and happened a couple times prior to getting the notice. Once I got the notice, I reached out to the dealer to see if anything could be done and was told no, not yet. Now, months later, it has gotten so bad that I am having to leave my house when it's cool (it doesn't stall as bad when it's cool out), and park my car in a certain way each day to ensure that I can effectively leave work without my car stalling. What is worse is that now, on hot days, my car semi-stalls, when I am driving on toll roads or back country roads on the way home. It loses power or jerks. I have an hour commute each way and this is NOT okay. Frankly, it is very scary sometimes. I have reached out to the dealership to ask them if it's safe for me to drive my car or if there is something they could do and I am constantly told that there is no solution, I have to wait, and they "legally" cannot tell me that it is safe to drive my car. They offered the option to rent a car, but I would have to pay a minimum of $45 out of pocket, per DAY, and I cannot afford to do that! I am already paying $600 a month for this car, now they want me to pay an additional $1350-$1395 a month just so I can feel safe? This has been going on for roughly 7 months. Who knows how long a "solution" will take. 7 months x $1350 a month = I would be out almost $9500 on TOP OF my car payment with no end in sight. I feel like this is moving at a snails pace. The problem is getting worse and I am getting the run around. No help is being offered to make me feel safe driving this car! They seem annoyed when I ask about it (I have only reached out three times in the last 4 months). The recall even says that it could stall while driving. So, honestly, what is it going to take for me to not die in a crash when my car stops on a high-speed road? Seriously. What can be done?
Vehicle was shifted into 4L on a relative flat surface. Vehicle would not indicate successful transfer to 4L, just a blinking 4L indicator light and then a message to place vehicle in N and then pull forward. After unsuccessful attempt to engage 4L, tried to return to regular driving mode and vehicle would not. After turning car off and even disconnecting battery, vehicle would not function as expected. Returned to the vehicle and got a Powertrain Malfunction error and service message. Called Ford and had it shipped to Landers Ford in Southaven Mississippi and awaiting inspection.
I’ve complained to my local Ford dealer about 10-speed transmission issues including to several different service techs. There is a loud clunk and physical movement of the vehicle when shifting from park through to reverse and eventually to drive—it’s the P to R which is most noticeable. I’ve had 3rd party mechanics inspect the clunk, had Ford replace the driveshaft, conducted a trans fluid flush, but the clunk persists. I am concerned that one day, the vehicle will not shift out of park or potentially damage the transmission to an undriveable state outside of warranty. This has persisted for several years. I need Ford to replace the transmission and then conduct research into the issues with the old one once removed.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the “Powertrain Malfunction - Reduced Power Fault” message was displayed and flickered on and off. The contact that the battery was losing the charge. The contact stated that the battery was at 70% charge. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V683000 (Power Train, Electrical System). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.
UNKNOWN grinding sound when at idle or in/out of gear ( manual transmission) sounds like transfer case. Other owners of 2021-2023 broncos regardless of trim levels have heard this sound with their broncos as well (manual trans)
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked on an incline, the vehicle unintendedly rolled backward. The steering assist warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but was not yet diagnosed. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V070000 (Power Train). The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to call the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.
Battery charge, over heated, failed power train, and failed 4x4 happened all within seconds of each other. We were on a 2 lane hwy where there was very little room to pull off the main road. It was Christmas Eve and we were about 60 miles from home. We had to pay around $400 dollars to have it towed home and it was freezing outside while we waited.
Car was in park and on a steep incline and rolled backwards. 6 months ago it rolled forwards when in a steep incline. The parking break was also set. It still rolled and I had to jump Back into the car and step in break I checked it was in park and the parking break was on. I went into the house and my car had rolled into the ditch.
My 2022 Manual transmission has been making a scraping sound when cold since I bought it. I've had 2 dealerships not do anything about it and I feel for paying $65,000 for a vehicle, it shouldn't be making this noise and it could be a safety concern.
Ford is experiencing a problem under normal driving conditions on multi year Broncos (21' to current) that have very limited miles - with regards to the front pinion seal leaking badly (noticed during a routine oil change) and it appears to be IMHO a design flaw that not only impacts the seal but also the front differential, internal parts and possibly the axle. Any disruption to the drive train has the potential beyond just rendering the vehicle inoperable,..while driving in 2 or 4WD conditions, the impacts could be widespread. IMHO, Ford needs to look at the design and redesign and test. This has also happened multiple times on the same vehicle (from Bronco6G forum reports). In addition to the recall - Ford should immediately publish a TSB on this as wel
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while stopped, the contact noticed that the vehicle would not move after it had gotten towed. the wrench and service engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to the transmission independently engaging and the transmission had overheated fluid, the transfer case had failed as well. The vehicle had been replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
multiple lights on dash turned on also check engine light' loss of power and jerking of vehicle
Lost power while in drive. Car became unresponsive. No response to accelerator inputs. Engine light flashes and request to stop car, turn off, and restart. No power to get out of traffic, safely rolled of highway.
Drive shaft on the front driver side had a CV boot failure. 2021 Bronco already had a recall for the same failure but my vin isn’t covered under that recall. Reference number for previous recall is 22B27.
1st Issue: Antilock brake failure Brand new 2022 Bronco purchased mid Dec with around 2000 miles in February the brakes failed to stop with the pedal to the floor at traffic light and finally all 4 wheels locked up skidding into traffic. Luckily no accident. Repaired took 3 weeks to get the part. 2nd Issue: May 1st Powertrain malfunction at 3000 miles pulled up to a stop sign the engine shut off. Finally after 30 minutes the engine started back. Drove it straight to Ford Service dept. Telling me today the part they need is on indefinite backorder. Prior to the failure no lights came on, but the Ford Pass App showed them. Powertrain Malfunction, Antilock fault, Hill assist warning, and pre collision assist not available. Dealership thought is an app issue and couldn’t repair unless the lights came on. In both cases the warning lights came on after the fact.
Flat Towing 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor with 3.0 V6 engine. After connecting my Bronco to the motorhome and putting it in the tow mode the following will occur. About 45 mins after turning the ignition off and closing the doors the EBB (Electronic Brake Boost) in the Bronco shuts down leaving the Bronco without any brake boost and leaves the supplemental brake system ineffective. When first connecting the Bronco to the motorhome the brake boost is active and the supplemental brake system must be set to match, or it will lock up the brakes on the Bronco when you stop. After the boost shuts down the supplemental brake system cannot apply enough force to the Bronco brakes to assist in stopping and all at once it takes a much greater distance to stop the motorhome than it did when the boost was working.
I am part of a large number of individuals ~200+ documented experiencing scraping noises in our 7 speed manual transmissions. Most of us can't get service done due to part supply issues and labor shortages. The bigger concern is FORD is replacing same parts that are being damaged which doesn't address the root cause of the issue and its not solving problem because it comes back shortly after service. The noise is mostly only heard in temps below 50*f per FORD TSB 22-2371. People are complaining that regardless of new transmissions and TSB service the noise still comes back while most of us are waiting months to even get the repairs performed. There has been no official resolutions. The noise is a safety concern in that if the transmission fails a bronco filled with a family could be stuck in a dangerous situation unable to move the vehicle in gear on the highway or similar situation along with these are brand new people complaining day 1 they bring these 7 speed manual transmission models home on 21s, 22's and now 23's. FORD just keeps sending them to customers with same defective transmissions we have and the problem is growing quickly also since it is winter and more are out there the number is growing quicker. I have tons of videos, documentation and a community of 200 plus individuals who own 7MT Broncos with the issue. I have spreadsheets from the community of builds and user names as well as photos of internal damage and reports of noise coming back. Very good documentation. please take this seriously.
