THERE ARE MULTIPLE REPORTS ONLINE OF ISSUES WITH STALLING WHEN THE VEHICLE SWITCHES GEARS, ESPECIALLY WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE. IT SEEMS TO BE A SENSOR ISSUE FOR EVERYONE, CAN THIS PLEASE BE ADDRESSED? IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE THE LABOR COMPLETED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THANK YOU!

WRENCH LIGHT, DASHES ON ODOMETER, SPEEDOMETER ON ZERO, AIRBAG LIGHT ON. LOSES THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY. IT HAS HAPPENED 6 TIMES THIS MONTH, USUALLY ON THE HIGHWAY AFTER I'VE HAD TO SLOW DOWN WITH TRAFFIC AND TRY TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OR A PARKING LOT AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. RESTART IT ALL WARNING LIGHTS ARE GONE BUT STILL WILL NOT ACCELERATE. SHIFT IN AND OUT OF REVERSE AND DRIVE WITH VERY LOUD KNOCKING AND JERKING. MOVE CAR BACK AND FORTH. RESTART AND REPEAT MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE IT RESETS ITSELF. IT NEVER HAPPENS BY SOMEWHERE THAT CAN SCAN IT TO GET A CODE. AS THE WRENCH LIGHT GOES OFF AND STAYS OFF AFTER YOU RESTART THE CAR NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG. IT IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I AM QUICKLY LOSING FAITH IN FORD AND THEIR REGARDS FOR CUSTOMERS SAFETY. GOOD THING I DON'T LIVE WHERE THERE ARE MOUNTAINS BECAUSE IF I DID I AM SURE I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BY NOW. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE THIS WEEK. 5 TIMES WERE HIGHWAY 1 WAS ON A BUSY 4 LANE ROAD. IT HAS JERKED WHEN SHIFTING AROUND 45 MPH FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS NOW.
WHILE REGULAR DRIVING OR WHEN IN THE PROCESS OF ENGAGING A STOP SIGN THE CAR ENGINE DISENGAGES FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND LOOSE ANY CONNECTION BETWEEN THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. IF ONE STEPS ON THE GAS THE TRANSMISSION MAKES A HOLLOWING NOISE AND FAILS TO MOVE, THE ENGINE RPM INCREASE WITH PRESSING THE GAS PADEL BUT THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ENGAGE AS IF ONE IS LOW ON TRANSMISSION FLUID. IN ORDER FOR THE CAR TO ENGAGE INTO MOTION ONE HAS TO SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE COMPLETE AND THEN RESTART THE CAR WHERE AFTER IT JUST RUN S FINE AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED THIS SITUATION THREE TIMES THIS YEAR. THE CAR HAS AROUND 58600 MILES ON IT. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO BE IN SPECIALLY OF ONE IS ENCOURAGING AND INTERSECTION ETC AND IS VERY SCARY TO DRIVE AT TIMES...THANK YOU. WE CALLED THE FORD DEALER AND THEY TOLD US THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD ANY THING LIKE THIS...THIS ALL HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AND WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING OR WHEN COMING TO A STOP SIGN.
TAKATA INFLATORS. WHY DOES THIS PROBLEM CONTINUE TO EXIST? FORD HAS WENT SO FAR AS TO TELL MY FAMILY NOT TO RIDE IN THE FRONT SEAT OF THIS CAR. THIS PROBLEM HAS WENT ON FOR OVER TWO YEARS AND I MUST USE THIS CAR FOR OUR FAMILY CAR. WE TRAVEL EXTENSIVELY AND NEED TO USE THIS CAR. I HAVE A 2005 DODGE PICK-UP THAT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED IN A TIMELY FASCION. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THE NHSTA WOULD ALLOW FORD TO GET AWAY WITH THIS PROBLEM FOR SO LONG SEEING AS TO THE SERIOUSNESS OF THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE REASSURE ME AND MY FAMILY THAT WE WILL BE SAFE IN THIS CAR WHILE WAITING FOR REPAIRS. LATEST RECALL NOTICE I RECEIVED FROM FORD STATED THE AIR BAGS MAY BE HERE BY THE SECOND OR THIRD QUARTED OF THIS YEAR, HOWEVER THIS IS NOT THE FIREST TIME WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY WERE COMING. I FEEL FORD IS STALLING ALL THE OWNERS OF THEIR PRODUCT. WOULD U PLEASE RESEARCH THIS SITUATION AND ADVISE US.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE AUTO NATION FORD DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PCM HAD BURNED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 128,822.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70 MPR AND MY 08 FORD EDGE MADE A NOISE THE ODOMETER WENT TO ZERO AND WENT FROM 70 MPR ON THE HIGHWAY TO 0 IT WOULD NOT GO. I'M SO THANKFUL MY KIDS WEREN'T IN THE CAR AND I WAS ABLE TO GO OFF THE EXIT RAMP BEFORE IT COMPLETELY STOPPED. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES ALL ON THE HIGHWAY BEFORE OR AFTER WORK. EACH THE TIME CAR WAS TOLLED FROM WORK OR WHERE IT STOPPED RUNNING. TAKEN TO SHOPS TO SEE WHAT'S WRONG THEY CAN FIND ANYTHING. THE LAST EPISODE HAPPENED MOTHERS DAY THE CAR WAS TOLLED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP THEY HAD THE CAR FOR 1 WEEK AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING THEY TOLD ME TO TRADE IF OFF ITS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE... SO I'M COMPLETELY BAFFLED WHY A DEALERSHIP WOULD TELL ME TO TRADE THE CAR SO SOMEONE ELSE COULD POSSIBLY GET SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIE. I COULD NOT TO DO IT. THE CAR IS NOW NOT COMING ON WITHOUT A JUMP AND HAS NOT BE DRIVEABLE SINCE MOTHERS DAY 2017 WHEN IT DID ALL THE ABOVE AGAIN. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE OCTOBER 2015 A YEAR AFTER GETTING IT. WE HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTATIONS AND RECEIPTS OF PAYING LOTS OF MONEY OUT OF POCKET. NOT ONE PERSON EVER TOLD ME TO CHECK ON THIS SITE FOR SAFETY ISSUES EVEN KNOWING THE CAR STOPS ON THE HIGHWAY AT ANY GIVEN MOMENTS AND UNRELIABLE OR FAULTY UNTIL I CALLED OUT AUTO INSURANCE TODAY AND WE SEEN ALL OF THIS!! WHAT A MESS I HAVE CONTACTED A CLASS ACTION CASE AS OF TODAY!
I CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY SET ON CRUISE CONTROL AND MY VEHICLE WILL COME UP ODOMETER FAILURE A WRENCH LIGHT, AND TRANSMISSION LIGHT AND SEVERAL OTHERS COME ON NO SPEEDOMETER. IF I COME TO A STOP TAKING OFF THE VEHICLE IS STUCK IN HIGH GEAR AND WILL BARELY PICK UP ANY SPEED UNTIL IT MAKES A HARD LOUD SHIFT. YOU CAN PULL OVER AND RESET IT BUT WHEN YOU TAKE OFF IT IS THE SAME THING. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS YOU DON'T KNOW WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN AND I HAVE BEEN IN THE MIDDLE LANE ON A HIGHWAY BEFORE WHEN IT KICKED OUT. THIS HAS BEEN LINKED BACK TO BAD TSS AND OSS SENSORS IN THE TRANSMISSION THEY NEED TO BE RECALLED BEFORE IT KILLS SOMEONE.

REC'D INITIAL SAFETY RECALL (14S22) LETTER DEC. 2014 & 2ND NOTICE APRIL 2016 FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE SERVICED BY MY AUTHORIZED DEALER, RAMSEY FORD. MAY 16TH RAMSEY'S PPWORK INDICATES THE A SEALANT WAS APPLIED. MY VEHICLE FAILED INSPECTION THIS APRIL BECAUSE THE GAS TANK WAS CORRODED AND LEAKING GAS! I CALLED FORD & SPOKE TO THEIR CUST. SER. REP, WHO REFUSED TO ACCEPT THAT THIS TANK WAS NOT REPAIRED PROPERLY & THAT THEY SHOULD REPLACE IT AT NO COST. THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY. I HAVE PHOTOS OF THE TANK, BUT THEY ARE TOO LARGE TO INCLUDE WITH THIS FORM!

WELL BROUGHT THE CAR BACK IN 2014. WONDERFUL CAR FOR THE LONG TRIPS AROUND USA. WHEN I WAS IN OHIO AND HAD A PROBLEM WITH CAR AS IT SAYS WENCH AND AIRBAGS LIGHTS ON, SPEEDOMETER WAS ON 0 AND RPM WAS ON 2000 SO I PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE CAR DOWN . THEN RESTART THE CAR AND IT WAS FINE SO LATER ON I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY OF WEST VA 77 AND IT DO SAME THING SO I DID THE SAME THING SHUT THE CAR DOWN AND RE START THE [XXX] CAR ALL IS ALRIGHT........SO ONE DAY I WAS TAKING BRO IN LAW HOME IN LOWELL OHIO AND PARKED MY CAR AND AS SOON I WAS LEAVING AND MY CAR WONT GO I TRIED TO SHUT IT DOWN AND SEE IF IT WORKS BUT NOPE. NO PROBLEM UNTIL MONTH AGO I WAS DRIVING ON 77 AND IT DID THE SAME THING,PULLED OVER AND SHUT DOWN THE CAR AND RESTART THE CAR NO PROBLEM..... SAME OLD [XXX] DID IT AGAIN WHEN I WAS SPEEDING ON 77 HIGHWAY.... IF IMAGINE I GET SHUT DOWN AND I WILL BE FLYING DOWN THE DITCH..... ODO ERROR DATA ERROR WHILE DRIVING. ODOMETER STOPS WORKING, WRENCH LIGHT TURNS ON, THEN AIR BAG LIGHT. LOSS OF POWER, TRANSMISSION GETS STUCK IN GEAR. YOU CAN'T ACCELERATE AND HAVE TO CRUISE ON TO THE RIGHT TO PULL OVER. HAPPENED TWICE, ONCE ON THE FREEWAY. CODE GOES TO THE SPEED SENSOR WHICH CONTROLS THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING. AFTER YOU TURN OFF YOUR CAR AND TURN IT ON CODE RESETS HOWEVER CAR IS STUCK IN GEAR. AFTER A FEW HARD SHIFTS FINALLY GOES BACK INTO GEAR. FORD DEALERSHIP SAYS COMMON PROBLEM HOWEVER CAN'T FIGURE OUT IF ITS A HARNESS OR THE SENSORS. REPLACING SENSORS REQUIRES DROPPING THE TRANSMISSION.

I HAVE CALLED OTIS FORD, OF OTIS FORD IN QUOGUE NEW YORK AND THEY HAVE NO ANSWER AS TO WHEN THEY WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE REPAIR MATERIALS. VEHICLE CONTINOUSLY FRIES TURN SIGNAL LAMPS. I'VE REPLACED 12 OF THEM SINCE WE BOUGHT IT 4 YEARS AGO. EVERY 4-6 MONTHS IT ACTUALLY MELTS THE BULB HOUSING AND I HAVE TO PRY IT OUT. IF THE VEHICLE CATCHES FIRE I PLAN TO SUE FORD. NO PATTERN TO WHEN THEY BURN IT. COMPLETELY RANDOM BUT I'VE SAVED PHOTOS OF EACH ONE.
ON JULY 2016, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR PASSENGER FRONTAL AIR BAG DEFECT. I DECIDED TO CALL ON TO GET AN UPDATE ON FEB 22,2017 TO MY DEALER GREENWAY FORD. THEY SAID THE PARTS ARE NOT IN YET. I TOLD MANAGER I WAS CONCERNED SINCE MY LINE OF WORK IS TO DRIVE CUSTOMERS IN MY CAR. I ASKED FOR RENTAL. HE SAID TO CALL FORD MOTOR COMPANY. I DID AND BEFORE I GOT A REPRESENTATIVE ON LINE , THE RECORDING PLAYED THAT NOT ONLY MAY DEATH AND INJURY RESULT FROM MALFUNCTION BUT OTHER PASSENGERS MAY GET INJURED AS WELL. WHEN I SPOKE TO SOMEONE ABOUT MY CONCERN ALL HE COULD DO IS CONTINUE TO TELL ME THAT THEY DON'T PROVIDE RENTAL CARS AND I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL PART CAME IN. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE TRANSMISSION SKIPPED A COUPLE OF TIMES. AFTER STOPPING THE TRANSMISSION MADE A WHINING NOISE. WHEN I MOVED FORWARD IT WAS VERY SLOW TO MOVE AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. ARRIVING HOME I PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE AND IT MADE A CLUNKING NOISE. IT IS CURRENTLY AT THE TRANSMISSION SHOP FOR EVALUATION.
WHEN REPLACING MY TAIL LIGHT I FOUND THAT THE SOCKET FOR MAIN BRAKE LIGHT WAS BURNT UP. THE LIGHT BULB WAS MELTED TO THE SOCKET. I REPLACED THE LIGHT AND THE SOCKET BUT THE DRIVER SIDE IS STILL NOT WORKING. I CHECKED THE PASSENGER SIDE AND IT WAS ALSO BURNT BUT NOT AS BADLY. I REPLACE THE LIGHT IN SOCKET ON THAT SIDE AND NOW IT WORKS.

DRIVER'S DOOR AJAR LIGHT COMES ON. MAKING A DINING SOUND CONTINUOUSLY, TURNING INTERIOR CAR LIGHTS ON, AND WON'T ALLOW DOORS TO LOCK. BUT THE DOOR IS SHUT. THIS CONCERNS ME WITH THE LIGHTS TURNING ON AT NIGHT, AND WHAT IF I REALLY DO HAVE A DOOR THAT ISN'T SHUT. THIS CAN HAPPEN AS SOON AS YOU START THE CAR, OR LATER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
I HAVE A 2008 EDGE W/ 120K MILES AND ONCE IN A WHILE, IT GETS STUCK IN THE 1ST GEAR. IT DID IT TO ME TWICE IN ONE MONTH, AND I NOTICE IT WHEN I'M GOING DOWN HILL (LIKE A PARKING GARAGE).
