THEY ASSURED PART WOULD BE THERE WITHIN NEXT TWO MONTHS. KEPT CALLING & GETTING REASSURED PART WOULD COME IN. TAKATA RECALL, NO SOLUTION. FORD DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT
BRAKE PEDAL AT TIMES FEELS SPONGY AND GOES TO THE FLOOR, OTHER TIMES IT IS AS HARD AS A BRICK AND VERY DIFFICULT TO STOP. HISSING SOUND IS PRESENT AND NOTICEABLE. UNBELIEVABLY DANGEROUS AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS ISN'T A SAFETY RECALL. I HAVE COME CLOSE TO REAR ENDING PEOPLE DUE TO THIS FLAW. 1ST NOTICED THIS WHILE DRIVING AND COMING TO A STOP. HAD TO REALLY PRESS HARD TO STOP AND IT WAS UNEXPECTED AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO REAR END THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME.

BRAKE VACUUM BOOSTER. I WAS TOLD BY MY MECHANIC THAT MY BRAKE VACUUM BOOSTER IS GOING BAD. I CALLED FORD AND IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE CURRENT RECALL. MY VEHICLE WAS BUILT AT THE OAKVILLE ASSEMBLY PLANT ON MARCH 26, 2010, A LITTLE OVER A MONTH BEFORE THE RECALL DATE PERIMETERS OF MAY 3, 2010 THROUGH MARCH 28, 2013. WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, THERE IS A WHISTLING NOISE UNDER THE DASHBOARD, THE BRAKES GET ROCK HARD AND THEN SINK TO THE FLOOR.

TAKATA RECALL PARTS NOT AVAILABLE FOR 2010 FORD EDGE 1.5 YEARS AFTER RECALL WAS COMMUNICATED.
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR TWO YEARS TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED. EVERY TIME I CALL A FORD DEALERSHIP I AM TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND THAT THEY CANNOT HELP ME. THEY REFER ME TO FORD. I WANT THE AIRBAG FIXED BEFORE I AM IN AN ACCIDENT AND MY PASSENGER DIES AS A RESULT OF THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG.

I WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT MY DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR. TODAY NOVEMBER 7 2017 I CONTACTED TOMMIE VAUGHN FORD IN HOUSTON TEXAS AND WAS TOLD, THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT AND DO NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET THE PARTS.

TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO TRADE THE VEHICLE IN AT MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS AND I CANNOT GET THE ACTUAL TRADE IN VALUE DUE TO THIS RECALL. I HAVE CONTACTED NUMEROUS FORD DEALERSHIPS AND THEY CANNOT HELP ME. THIS IS A SAFETY AND MONETARY ISSUE AND I NEED SOME RESOLUTION OTHER THAN "WE DON'T HAVE ANY INFORMANT", WHICH ID'S WHAT ALL THE DEALERS ARE TELLING ME.
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A NOTICE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG BEING DEFECTIVE AND IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS TO ASK FOR IT TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD EACH TIME I CALL THAT THERE ARE NO AIR BAGS AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT. SO I STILL HAVE A RECALLED AIR BAG IN PLACE IN MY VEHICLE. I AM CONCERNED THAT DUE TO THE TAKATA BANKRUPTCY THAT I WILL BE LEFT WITH NO REPLACEMENT OF THE AIR BAG AND HAVE AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. I JUST WANT THE AIR BAG REPLACED.

I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM FORD SINCE LAST YEAR JULY 2016 ABOUT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEFECT. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR ALREADY AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT TAKEN ANY ACTIONS TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM SOLVED. I'M STILL DRIVING MY CAR AND EXPOSING MY PASSENGER TO A SERIOUS INJURY. I CALLED TODAY (NOVEMBER 4, 2017) AND THEY STILL HAVE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT TO FIX MY CAR AIRBAG.

TAKATA RECALL, FORD MOTOR COMPANY SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 16S26 /NHTSA RECALL 16V-384 WAS ISSUED BY LETTER DATED JULY 2016 AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY. ON 10/25/17 RECEIVED NOTICE FROM TAKATA HOLDINGS INC. WHERE THEY HAD FILED CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY CASES IN THE US.
TAKATA RECALL FORD STILL PUTTING OFF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF PASSENGER AIRBAG FROM RECALL 16V 384; SAME ANSWER GIVEN FROM LAST YEAR 'THEY ARE STILL WORKING WITH VENDOR'. WE HAVE CALLED EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS, LAST CALL WAS TODAY
RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE AIRBAG. CONTACTED OUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO COMPLETE THIS WORK DUE TO NOT HAVING THE PARTS TO DO THIS.
"TAKATA RECALL" - I RECEIVED THE LEGAL NOTICE FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY REQUESTING ME, AS THE OWNER OF AN AFFECTED VEHICLE, TO REGISTER MY CAR AND CALL A LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE THE RECALLED PART. THE ISSUE IS, THE DEALERSHIPS HERE IN SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY LOUISIANA DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR MORE THAN A YEAR AND A HALF!!! THAT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. THESE AIRBAGS WERE RECALLED ON BOTH MY HUSBANDS TRUCK AND MY SUV. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT GIVE ME AN ESTIMATED TIME FRAME FOR ARRIVAL OF THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. TAKATA RECALL I CALLED LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP (MULLINAX ON NORTHLAKE BLVD.) AND WAS TOLD THAT TAKATA HAS NOT RELEASED THE REPLACEMENT PART FOR THIS RECALL. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A RELEASE DATE! SO NOW I'M DRIVING AROUND WITH A FAULTY AIRBAG!!
WAS INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT AND HIT ON PASSENGER SIDE BACK DOOR FORWARD AND WINDOW AND DRIVES SIDE BACK PANEL AND WINDOW. FRONT END OF CAR. THE ONLY AIR BAG THAT WENT OFF WAS THE STEERING WHEEL. NO OTHER AIR BAG DID AND SHOULD OF DRIVER'S SEAT AND PASSENGER DASH. WHY DDIDNT THE OTHERS DEPLOY AND WOULD OF SAVED ME FROM GETTING INJURED
DOOR ON DRIVER SIDE DOES NOT LATCH. IT SAYS DOOR AJAR EVEN THOUGH DOOR IS SHUT. SOMETIMES IT LATCHES SOMETIMES DOESNT. IF IT DOES LATCH ONCE I START DRIVING IT UN LATCHES AND LIGHT COMES BACK ON. I HAVE CHILDREN SO ITS UN SAFE FOR MYSELF AND THEM.
HAVE CONTACTED MULTIPLE FORD DEALERS REQUESTING REPLACEMENT BUT WAS TOLD IT IS UNDER " ADVANCED INVESTIGATION" AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO REPLACE IT AS THEY DO NOT HAVE AIR BAGS. DROVE CAR TO STORE, PARKED AND TURNED OFF. WHILE GATHERING MY PURSE I NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM FRONT OF CAR. OPENED UP HOOD AND FLAMES IGNITED. APPEARED TO START @ O2 SENSOR @ MANIFOLD. BURNED 2ND COIL PACK AND WIRING HARNESS. BURNT UP RADIATOR FAN AND UPPER RADIATOR HOSE. FIRE DEPARTMENT CALLED TO PUT OUT. CAR IS AT LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO DETERMINE HOW AND WHY FIRE STARTED. SO FAR NO RESPONSE OR IDEA FROM THEM. THEY SHOW ONE RECALL ON CORROSION OF FUEL TANK, BUT SAY IT DID NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE FIRE.
TAKATA RECALL AIRBAG LIGHT ON DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG CIRCUIT FAULT . NEEDS DRIVERS SIDE CLOCK SPRING ASSEMBLY, PARTS AND LABOR AT FORD DEALER, WILL CHARGE $495.00 THIS AIRBAG HAS NEVER BEEN ABUSED OR USED. I HAVE DECLINED THE FIX AT THIS TIME . RECENTLY THOUGH, A POSTCARD CAME IN FROM TK HOLDINGS INC REGARDING A RECALL.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FLORIDA TURNPIKE, WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES TO SLOW THE VEHICLE THE PEDAL WAS HARD, AND I HAD TO PUSH THE BRAKE VERY HARD TO SLOW THE VEHICLE, PINES FORD INFORM ME IT WAS THE BOOSTER AND THAT FORD HAD EXTENDED COVERAGE ON THAT PROBLEM ON 2010 EDGE BUT FOR SOME REASON ONLY KNOWN TO FORD OUR VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED, AFTER RESEARCHING I LEARNED THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL, MY QUESTION IS WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL. LIKE ALWAYS OUR GOVERNMENT NEEDS A BODY COUNT BEFORE THEY ACT IN THE INTEREST OF THE CITIZENS OF AMERICA.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALER (WALDORF FORD IN WALDORF, MD) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS DAMAGED DUE TO A FAULTY WATER PUMP, WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE OIL TO BECOME CONTAMINATED WITH ANTIFREEZE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING DOWN HILL AT 35 MPH AND APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, THE BRAKES VIBRATED AND HESITATED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE BRAKES WERE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE MECHANIC ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER DUE TO THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALER AND NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 121,658. *TT CONSUMER STATED SHE WAS ABOUT TO STOP AT THE STOP SIGN BUT ENDED UP DRIVING PAST IT. UPDATED 11/20/18 *JB
BRAKE PEDAL IS HARD TO DEPRESS WHEN WHEN COMING TO A STOP
TAMARA RECALL. I HAVE MADE ATTEMPTS TO GET A RENTAL UNTIL A FIX IS AVAILABLE. I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY OF MY 6 YEAR OLD SON. I AM WAITING FOR S FIX, BUT AM DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE DUE TO THE AIR BAG. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A RENTAL COVERED UNTIL THE PART IS FIXED. I ALSO HAVE A FOSTER CHILD WHO MAY BE AT RISK OF BEING REMOVED FROM OUR HOME.
I LEFT THE GYM I WAS ON A CITY STREET AND WHEN I PRESSING ON THE BRAKE, MY VEHICLE WAS STILL MOVING. BRAKE PEDAL WAS REALLY HARD TO PRESSED DOWN. I PUT A LOT OF FORCE ON THE PEDAL JUST TO SLOW DOWN BEFORE I HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I PUT IN MY VIN NUMBER TO TO SEE IF MY FORD EDGE WAS ON THE RECALL LIST FOR THIS INCIDENT BUT NOTHING SHOWED UP. EXCEPT FOR COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER FORD EDGE DRIVERS SAYING IT DID NOT GET FIX BECAUSE OF THE VIN NUMBER. I JUST WONDERING WHY IT IS NOT. I'M A VETERAN WHO HAS PTSD FROM A CAR CRASH AND JUST WANT THE COMPANY TO HONOR WHAT THEY SAY. THANKS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES MADE A HISSING NOISE WHEN THE ISSUE BEGAN. ON ONE OCCASION, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT AND GRADUALLY WORSENED. GERALD JONES FORD IN AUGUSTA, GEORGIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY BRAKE BOOSTER BULLETIN NUMBER: 13N02 FOR 2010-2013 FORD EDGE AND LINCOLN MKX VEHICLES. THE DEALER DID NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 136,000.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE A FAMILY WITH KIDS AND I AM BEING WAITING FOR THE REPAIR FOR MORE THAN A YEAR, I NEED A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM I FEEL VERY UNSAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE, CAN YOU CHANGE MY VEHICLE? IS FORD RESPONSIBILITY THIS VEHICLES ARE ON THE ROADS AND NO WORD ABOUT GETTING IT FIX. I NEED SOME HELP
WITH NO WARNING THE WATER PUMP STOP WORKING AND FLOODED INTO THE ENGINE AND DESTROYED THE ENGINE. THE FORD DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THE ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE PLACED AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $9K.
THE BRAKES ON THE EDGE HAD AN AUDIBLE HISSING SOUND WHEN COMPRESSED BOTH WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AND IN MOTION. IF THE BRAKES WERE PRESSED MULTIPLE TIMES IN SHORT ORDER (I.E. IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC) THE RESPONSE OF THE SYSTEM WOULD BE INCONSISTENT AS IT WAS SOMETIMES "SQUISHY" AND OTHER VERY HARD. THIS SEEMED TO AFFECT THE RESPONSIVENESS OF THE SYSTEM. UPON TAKING IT TO A MECHANIC, IT WAS REVEALED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER WAS FAILING AND WOULD CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE BRAKING PERFORMANCE UNTIL REPLACED. AFTER A LITTLE RESEARCH, FORD RECALL 13N02 WAS ISSUED FOR 2010 - 2013 EDGES FOR BRAKE BOOST FAILURE. FORD REJECTED MY CLAIM STATING THAT THIS VIN NUMBER WAS GOOD AND NOT PART OF THE ISSUE DESPITE THE FACT I HAD THE SAME SYMPTOMS AFFECTING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC DIAGNOSED A FAILED BOOSTER AS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. THIS ISSUE SEEMS TO AFFECT MORE THAN THE VEHICLES NAMED IN THE RECALL AND IT IS A MATTER OF SAFETY WHEN YOU CANNOT TRUST THE PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSE OF A VEHICLE ESPECIALLY ON INTERSTATES WITH OTHER VEHICLES TRAVELING AT HIGH SPEED. THE ONLY FIX IS TO REPLACE THE BOOSTER WHICH WILL ALLOW THE BRAKE SYSTEM TO FUNCTION AS DESIGNED.
