I have several different things going on. First of all my rear turn signals do not work, nor do my rear hazard lights. I've taken it to a mechanic who has extensively looked at this and has determined that it's the body control modular and is suggested replacement. I have been waiting for several months for this part to come in but he keeps telling me it's on back order. Also, my radiator fan/assembly went bad and had to be replaced. Upon the mechanic installing the new fan assembly, I had numerous fuses blown and that is when my blinker and hazard light issue started. This is a major safety concern as signaling the direction that you're turning is very important to other drivers. Additionally, it is against the law not to use signals. I'm constantly in fear that someone is going to rear in me because of my inability to signal when switching lanes and or turning. Additionally, my back up camera stopped working shows a black screen with a notice to contact the dealer. Another issue I have is that my door ajar light is illuminated all the time. I often feel unsafe and fear that the door may just come open at any time, I am unable to lock my doors with the internal lock , which means my doors are left unlocked while I'm in the vehicle. Also, the interior lights stay on for awhile when car turned off, thus putting more strain on the battery, which I've just replaced. Plus, the dome light will not go off until you accelerated to about 20 mph, however, when putting the car in reverse there's no way to get the lights to turn off in this causes visibility issues at night. That in conjunction with my backup camera not working makes it a very dangerous situation when going in reverse. I also detect the odor of gasoline which lingers in my vehicle for some time after getting fuel. I'm scared that there's a leak and if so the potential of a fire is very concerning. And I've noticed that my gas mileage is not really good and I'm not sure if that's related.
I have been having issues with headlights on my vehicle for awhile. We have changed the bulbs several times to try to make it easier to see. The headlights barely light up the street in front of you and is very dangerous to drive like this. I looked up online and apparently I am not the only one that is complaining of the issue. This is extremely unsafe and I'm afraid to drive anywhere at night due to poor lighting. I see people changed bulbs and changed entire headlights costing $300.00 or more a light and the problem is still not resolved. I am very concerned for not only myself and my familie's safety, I am concerned for others safety too. Something needs to be corrected in these vehicles. It is an extremely important part of driving - being able to see in front of you. Please advise.

THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN A PORBLEM FROM DAY ONE. WE CHANGED THEM TO A BRIGHTER BULB AND WE CANT SEEM TO GET THEM ADJUSTED. DOOR AJAR HAS BEEN REPLACED ON THE RIGHT REAR AND NOW IS DOING THE SAME THING ON THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. NOW THE BRAKE PEDAL SEEMS "HARD" WHEN WE PUSH IT AND I HAVE SEEN RECALLS FOR THE BRAKE BOOSTER YET IT SHOWS OUR EDGE HAS NO RECALLS. WE WILL BE TAKING IT TO OUR MECHANIC TO BE CHECKED.
The tailight bulbs are melting the plastic around the lights. This hss been an issue for me and millions of other drivers who own 2013 Ford Edges. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/9037-burntmelted-taillight-bulbssockets/
The dome lights won’t shut off when all the doors are shut
THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED FOR THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR. THE OVERHEAD LIGHT STAYS FOR 10 MINS OR SO WHEN ANY DOOR IS OPENED AND THEN CLOSED. THE DOOR AJAR ALARM WILL BEEP WHEN YOU START THE CAR AND PUT IT INTO REVERSE OR DRIVE UNTIL YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THE ALARM AND THE LIGHT WILL STAY ON. THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN OFF THE INTERIOR LIGHT. AT NIGHT IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO SEE TO BACK OUT YOUR VEHICLE. *TR

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.*DT*JB
DRIVERS DOOR MALFUNCTIONING. SAFETY HAZARD. DOOR DOES NOT REGISTER CLOSE EVEN WHEN SLAM IT HARD.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR USED. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT OR EARLY MORNING HOURS. I SEE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET AND SALESMAN ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THESE ARE KNOWN FOR THIS BUT FORD WON'T STAND BEHIND IT. NOW I'M STRUGGLING TO FIND A WAY TO RESOLVE THIS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE WITHOUT WARNING WHEN THEY WERE ACTIVATED. THE CONTACT CALLED SUNLAND FORD (15330 PALMDALE RD, VICTORVILLE, CA 92392) AND THE PARTS WERE ORDERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.
DOOR IS NOT REGISTERING THAT IT IS CLOSED. INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAIN ON AND DRAIN BATTERY. THE DRIVER AJAR SWITCH NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND FIXED.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR LIGHT ON. VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION AND THE DOOR IS CLOSED.
DOOR AJAR CONSTANTLY COMES ON AND OFF WHEN DRIVING. INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON AS CAR THINKS DOOR IS OPEN. AS SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE STATED...I'M WAITING FOR THE DAY WHEN I GET IN THE CAR AND BATTERY IS DEAD AS WE CAN NOT TURN OFF LIGHTS ! JUST CALLED JIM CLICK FORD AND THEY HAVE FOUND NO RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM...THEREFORE I HAVE TO PAY OVER 500 DOLLARS TO FIX WEIRD HOW OVER 150O PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE WITH VEHICLE BUT FORD DOESN'T THINK IT'S A PROBLEM. I GUESS AN "ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN" WILL CHANGE THAT THINKING. WHEN INTERIOR. LIGHTS AUTOMATICALLY COME ON AT NIGHT WHEN DRIVING I WILL DO MY BEST TO SEE THE ROAD AND CARS AROUND ME. THANKS FORD!
DOOR AJAR ISSUE SEE ATTACHED. 5TH COMPLAINT AND NO RESPONSE SAFETY ISSUE WHEN DOOR FLUNG OPEN WHILE DRIVING , 8 YEAR OLD CHILD WAS IN THE VEHICLE!!!
WHEN THE DRIVERS DOOR IS SHUT, THE SENSOR WILL SHOW THAT IT IS STILL OPEN AND WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE OVERHEAD LIGHTS COME ON AT RANDOM TIMES AND STAY ON SOMETIMES ONE MINUTE, SOMETIMES 5 MINUTES AND IT MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. THE DOOR IS SHUT BUT THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT AS WELL AS INTERIOR LIGHTS COME ONE. I HAVE HAD THIS "FIXED" BY FORD A YEAR AGO AND IT IS STILL HAPPENING.
THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND THE INTERIOR LIGHT STAY AND WHICH CAUSES THE BATTERY TO DIE. I HAVE TO OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR NUMEROUS TIMES IN ORDER TO GET THE INTERIOR LIGHTS OFF. SOMETIMES THE DOOR WON'T EVEN CATCH AND HAS FLOWN OPEN WHILE DRIVING WITH MY 8 YEAR OLD CHILD IN THE VEHICLE
DOOR AJAR WARNING COMES ON WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED. CAUSED DOME LIGHT TO STAY ON AND HAS DRAINED THE BATTERY. ONLY SOLUTION IS TO SLAM THE DOOR.
THE FRONT, DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCH IS DYSFUNCTIONAL. THE SENSOR DOES NOT CORRECTLY READ WHEN THE DOOR IS OPEN AND CLOSED. IT WILL NOT READ WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED, SO THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON. PLUS, THE DOOR AGAR SWITCH DINGS. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT DRIVING DURING THE NIGHTTIME WHEN THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL NOT GO OFF BECAUSE OF THIS DYSFUNCTIONAL SENSOR. PLUS, THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK BECAUSE THE SENSOR READS INCORRECTLY. I RECENTLY ATTEMPTED TO LOCK MY DOORS BECAUSE I WAS AT A STOP-LIGHT IN A ROUGH PARTY OF TOWN, BUT THEY WOULD NOT LOCK BECAUSE THE SENSOR READS MY DRIVER'S DOOR AS "OPEN." I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER FORD BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON WHEN DOOR IS PROPERLY CLOSED. CAUSES INTERIOR LIGHTS TO STAY ON MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND NOT LETTING THE DOORS LOCK.
