There are 10 owner-reported tires & wheels complaints for the 2013 Ford Edgein NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
I purchased these tires and they were installed on 1/19/25. I paid $426.20 including the installation fees. After installation we noticed the tires were extremely loud above 40 MPH. We returned and had the tires balanced again and the noise problem continued. It drowned out the cabin and made it difficult to hear anything outside of the vehicle. The poor customer service department made me complete a warranty request which was denied within hours because the warranty doesn’t cover noise. They refused to take any responsibility for this hazardous issue that was previously reported. They claim their tires are quiet on various sites, but this is false. There have been many reports to Arroyo and they are not willing to address the unsafe issue. Various reviews on the internet express the same concerns about excessive noise. I replaced the scary tires with another set and they are very quiet and don’t produce the excess noise like the Arroyo tires. 245/50ZR20 102W
I had my brakes repaired and since having my brakes repaired, I continued to have issues with the suspension, vehicle handling and imbalance (vehicle not stopping properly). I was dropping my friend girl's grandsons off at school and my brakes went out...almost causing me to have a head on collision with the vehicle in front of me. I was overwhelmed and hysterical! I had taken my vehicle back to the repair shop that replaced my brakes and I tried to explain what happened. I was bewildered because my vehicle didn't have any warning messages of any sort. I remember riding over some bumpy streets and when the traffic slowed down, I pressed my brakes and they were gone. I had to press the brake pedal all the way down to the floor and I wasn't getting any pressure through the brake line at all, which caused me to almost run into the vehicle in front of me. When I pressed the brake to the floor, my vehicle slid rapidly and made a strange noise before I was able to come to a complete stop. We were terrified because I had ran into the curb trying to stop my vehicle! The repair shop mechanic stated that it could be the caliber connected to the brake line, because my vehicle did not have sweaking noises that you usually hear when your brakes need to be replaced. My vehicle is still in need of repairs, I'm afraid while driving it still. I'm bewildered because I honestly don't know what caused my brakes to just go out like that!
P245/60R18 UNKNOWN I was driving through residential parking lot and my tire begin to go flat. Before I could even pull over and park, I had to swerve to keep from hitting other vehicles in the lot. Not sure why the tire went flat, but this incident was scary.
GETTING IN MY VEHICLE ONE DAY NOTICED A BUMP ON THE SIDE OF THE TIRE AND DETERMINED IT WAS PROBABLY THE BELT OR BELTS ON THE INSIDE OF TIRE PROBABLY FAILED. WHEN I WAS LOOKING ONLINE NOTICED THERE WERE RECALLS FOR MANY TIRES IN THE KOMHO TIRE COMPANY PARTICULARLY THE SOLUS LINE IN THAT SPECIFIC YEAR. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION I AM TOLD,
POTENTIAL EARLY TIRE FAILURE. THIS TIRE LINE (FEDERAL COURAGIA XUV) IS FIRST MANUFACTURED IN SEPTEMBER 2015, AND ALL FOUR OF MINE HAVE DISPLAYED NOTICEABLE RUBBER CRACKING IN THE TIRE BODY AREA (DOWN INSIDE THE TREAD GROOVES). FORD DEALER AND TIRE DEALER HAVE BOTH STATED THIS IS VERY PREMATURE CONDITION AND ADVISED TIRE REPLACEMENT.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR LIGHT REMAINS ON AT ALL TIMES, EVEN THOUGH IT APPEARS TIRES ARE INFLATED TO PROPER PRESSURE. DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS A VALID PROBLEM WITH TIRE PRESSURE - IF I IGNORE THE WARNING LIGHT AND THE TIRES REALLY ARE NOT AT CORRECT PRESSURE, I TAKE THE RISK OF HAVING A BLOW-OUT TRAVELLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
SUBJECT: CRACK VEHICLE TIRES I BEEN IN TOUCH WITH MIDWAY FORD IN MIAMI WHERE I BOUGHT THE FORD EDGE 2013 0 MILES SINCE JULY 2015 IN OTHER TO RESOLVE THE CRACK PIRELLI TIRES COMES WITH MY VEHICLE. [XXX] GAVE THE PIRELLI PHONE AND THEY ASKED ME TO GET MY VEHICLE 4 TIMES FOR INSPECTION BY THEIR WARRANTY REP. ON FEB 4 2016 I GOT AN APP. WITH PIRELLI REP. AT 1:30PM AN HE OFFER ME A PRORATED CHARGE OF $711.14 TO REPLACE THE TIRES, I CALLED [XXX] TO EXPLAIN THAT MY CAR HAVE ONLY 5600 MILES AND HE RESPONDED TO ME, THAT IS THE ADJUSTMENT BECAUSE IF THE TIRES WERE CLEANED BY ANY PRODUCT SOLD ON THE AUTO PARTS IN US, THAT IS THE CAUSE OF TIRES CRACK. I ASTONISHED TO HEAR THAT AND I ASK IF THEIR COMPLY WITH THE WARRANTY REGULATIONS BY THE US GOVERNMENT, AND IF THERE ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY TO CONTROL IT, IM VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR THIS LONG AND TIREDNESS WAY ON PROCESSING A WARRANTY ISSUE BY A PIRELLI CUSTOMER AFFAIR DEPT. SO I THINK THEY USED MY TIME TO FOOL ME. PLEASE I PLEAD YOUR ASSISTANT IN THIS MATTER. THANK YOU INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR

CLAD WHEEL RUBBED A CURB WHILE VEHICLE HAD LESS THAN 1000 MILES, LOCAL DEALER ADVISED THIS WASN'T WARRANTED, PAID $1000.+ TO HAVE A NEW RIM ORDERED AND INSTALLED WITHIN LESS THAN TWO MONTHS THIS SAME WHEEL (WITH THE OTHER OWNER DRIVING) RUBBED THE CURB AND ONCE AGAIN, RIM WAS RUINED. IT HAS SHARP JAGS JUST LIKE RAZORS, WE JUST REFUSE TO PAY ANOTHER $1000.+ FOR ANOTHER WORTHLESS RIM WRAPPED IN FOIL. THE OTHER COMPLAINT IS THE FUEL FILL DOOR COVER LATCH IS NO LONGER WORKING, FUEL DOOR STANDS AJAR AT ALL TIMES. PHOTOS OF BOTH ATTACHED. DATES WHEN HAPPENED ARE APPROXIMATE, 1ST WHEEL WAS WITHIN 1ST MONTH OR SO AFTER AUTO WAS PURCHASED. FUEL FILLER DOOR LATCH WAS WITHIN THE PAST MONTH,APPROXIMATELY SEPTEMBER 10, 2016., WE DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT AND A CO-WORKER JUST ASKED WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO IT, WE WERE NOT AWARE ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. *NOTE, MILEAGE ON NEXT PAGE IS FOR FIRST RIM, PROBABLY SECOND RIM DAMAGE IN PHOTOS, WAS WITHIN ANOTHER MONTH FROM FIRST ONE DAMAGED. DEALER KEPT FIRST RIM AFTER THEY REPLACED IT, DID NOT RETURN TO US. *TR
