The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH in the rain with the windshield wipers set on high, the driver’s side wiper blade detached. The vehicle was taken to an auto parts store and the blades were replaced. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or independent mechanic for diagnosis. The failure recurred again with the driver’s side blade. Later the passenger’s side blade detached. The vehicle was taken an auto parts store and the Rain-X blades were replaced. The contact researched the failure online and became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V250000 (Visibility). The vehicle was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA to file a complaint. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.
DRIVING STRAIGHT THRU A CITY RESIDENTIAL STREET ABOUT 20MPH MY REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. THERE WASN'T ANY IMPACT JUST THE SOUND OF THE WINDOW BURSTING.
FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THEN 2 YEARS OUR PANORAMIC SUNROOF HAS CRACKED COMPLETELY. NOT JUST A SINGLE CRACK BUT THE ENTIRE WINDOW HAS CRACKS. THE FIRST TIME THE FORD TECHNICIAN SAID HE COULD SEE WHERE A ROCK OR SOMETHING HIT THE WINDOW. WELL I HAVE NOT TAKEN THIS IN YET BUT I'M SURE IT WILL BE THE SAME EXCUSE. I AM NOT SURE WHEN IT CRACKED AS WE DON'T ALWAYS HAVE THE SUNROOF OPEN AND DON'T ALWAYS HAVE THE SHADE OPEN EITHER. SO HOW AND WHEN IT OCCURRED ARE NOT CLEAR. I KNOW THAT WE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING THAT WOULD HAVE MADE US WANT TO CHECK TO SEE IF IT WAS OK EITHER. THE STRANGE THING IS THAT THE WINDSHIELD HAD A COUPLE OF SMALL LITTLE STAR SHAPE CRACKS THAT HAVE NEVER GOTTEN WORSE IN THE 4 YEARS WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR. BUT THE SUNROOF SEEMS TO CRACK VERY EASILY.
I PURCHASED THIS USED 2015 FORD EDGE AT 26000 MILES 2 MONTHS AGO. TEST DROVE HILLS, FREEWAY, ETC. ONCE I PURCHASED I NOTICE RIGHT AWAY ON THE WAY HOME EXCELERATING AT ABOUT 35 MPH ON A CURVY ROAD TO MY HOUSE THE STEERING FELT STIFF AND HESITATED. THE CAR WENT THE DIRECTION I NEEDED IT TO GO BUT SOMETHING IS OFF. I DRIVE THIS ROUTE EVERYDAY AND THIS HAPPENS 90% OF THE TIME AT CURVES. I HAVE ALSO NOW NOTICED SINCE I AM MORE AWARE, THE STEERING WHEELS SOMETIMES KNOCKS WHEN I TURN TIGHT, I WILL BE TAKING IT IN TO SEE IF THEY CAN DIAGNOSE. I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE BEFORE I PURCHASED. WOULD HAVE KNOW WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR.
There is a hissing noise coming from the brake pedal. The noise goes away when the brake pedal is compressed then comes back on as the brake pedal is released. The hissing sound is constant and very bothersome. No issues with braking the car so far. Have had this issue since I bought the car about 5 years ago in 2019 and was told there is no issues with the brakes. Didn't want to spend out of pocket money so have lived with that since, but now the sound is much louder and very bothersome. This is not a normal wear and tear. Ford should issue a recall for this. Have reached out to both dealership and ford customer service and they haven't been helpful.
APPEARS TO BE TWO SEPARATE WAVY CRACKS ACROSS REAR ROOF PANEL. NO INDICATION OF ANY STRIKES. SAME EXPERIENCE AS MANY OTHERS HAVE DOCUMENTED REGARDING CRACKS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. DID EXPERIENCE FAILURE WHEN CLOSING ROOF PANEL ALSO.
I WAS WAXING THE TOP OF REAR HATCH. WHEN I HEARD A CRACKING SOUND. THEN NOTICED THE PANORAMIC GLASS HAD CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
THE AUTO DIM REAR VIEW MIRROR STAYS ON DIM ALL OF THE TIME WHICH LIMITS THE DRIVERS VISIBILITY SUBSTANTIALLY. THE LIGHTING IS NEVER "HIGH VISIBILITY". I AM REPORTING THIS ISSUE TO YOU IN THE HOPES THAT YOU WILL REVIEW IT AND POSSIBLY PREVENT A SERIOUS TRAFFIC INCIDENT.
WE'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING AN INTERMITTENT EXHAUST AND SULFUR ODOR IN THE CABIN OF OUR VEHICLE SINCE WE PURCHASED IT LAST JULY. THE ODOR IS PRESENT WHILE RUNNING AND PARKED, WHILE IDLING AT STOP LIGHTS, WHILE COASTING ALONG WITH TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY, WHILE ACCELERATING OR NOT, SPEED DOES NOT SEEM TO MATTER. THE FUMES AND ODOR HAVE GOTTEN STRONGER AND HAVE BECOME SO STRONG THAT WE CAN'T EVEN DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN. OUR WHOLE FAMILY HAS EXPERIENCED HEADACHES AND SEVERE NAUSEA WHILE RIDING IN THE CAR ON BOTH LONG AND SHORT TRIPS. MY DAUGHTER ALMOST PASSED OUT ON A RECENT HOUR LONG DRIVE. WE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE SERVICE CENTER TWICE NOW. THE FIRST TIME THEY REPLACED THE CABIN AIR FILTER. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER SERVICE CENTER. AFTER WE MENTIONED THE SULFUR SMELL WE WERE TOLD THEY WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY HQ AND OPEN A CASE.

GRIFFITH FORD SAN MARCOS (2661 INTERSTATE 35 FRONTAGE RD, SAN MARCOS, TX 78666, (888) 690-5431) DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 9 MONTHS. 1ST OCCURRENCE ON 3/31/19, ACCELERATING TO MERGE ON HIGHWAY AND VEHICLE SHUDDERED, LOST ENGINE POWER AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I LIMPED IT HOME AND AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES I STARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT DROVE FINE... UNTIL 2ND OCCURRENCE ON 4/4/19... THIS TIME WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35-40 MPG APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION WHEN THE VEHICLE LOST ALL ENGINE POWER AND I COASTED TO THE STOP LIGHT, PUT IN PARK, SHUT OFF VEHICLE AND RESTARTED... IT THEN DROVE NORMALLY. I HAVE BEEN LUCKY TWICE. THE 1ST OCCURRENCE WAS SCARY AS I WAS JUST GETTING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH CARS APPROACHING ME FROM BEHIND VERY QUICKLY NOT KNOWING THAT I COULD ONLY GO ABOUT 20MPH. THE 2ND OCCURRENCE I WAS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE GOTTEN A RED LIGHT JUST AS I WAS COASTING TO THE INTERSECTION. AT THIS POINT I DON'T TRUST MY VEHICLE AND AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT KNOWING THAT AT ANY TIME, I MAY LOSE POWER AND NOT BE SO LUCKY. I HAVE HAD ZERO PROBLEMS FOR 9 MONTHS AND NOW 2 OF THESE ISSUES IN 5 DAYS... WHAT'S NEXT?
VEHICLE INSTALLS AFTER STARTING OR
POWERSTEERING FAILED AND GAVE MESSAGES "SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC", "STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED", AND "HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE". HAPPENED WHILE STATIONARY BUT COULD HAVE BEEN POTENTIALLY DEADLY IF WHILE IN OPERATION. FIXED BY PULLING THE BATTERY TO RESET.
OWNED FOR 5 MONTHS. ENGINE HAS DIED TWICE WHILE DRIVING LIKE OTHERS WITH DISPLAY SHOWING "FULL POWER ACCESSORY ACTIVE". BOTH HAVE BEEN AT LOW SPEED (AROUND 5-10 MPH) AND HAVE HAD TO PLACE IN PARK BEFORE I COULD RESTART THE ENGINE. ONE WAS DECELERATING FROM ~25 MPH ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET, AND THE OTHER WAS WHILE DRIVING THROUGH AN APARTMENT COMPLEX. TAKES ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING AND RESTART.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR JUST TURNS OFF LOSING POWER!! IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES NOW! VERY SCARY AND UNSAFE!!!
WAS FINISHED SHOPPING , THE CAR WAS PARKED ROR ABOUT TWO HOURS. WHEN I GOT IN I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK IN THE SUNROOF GLASS. I CHECKED THE OUTSIDE AND THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF ANY DAMAGE FROM AN IMPACT. IT HAS GROWN FROM THAT INITIAL CRACK. CHECKED ON LINE AND FOUND MANY OF THE SAME PROBLEMS AND FORD KEEPS SAYING ITS BECAUSE OF IMPACTS. I BEG TO DIFFER.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE CITY STREET ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A TURN THE STEERING LOCKED UP ALMOST RAN INTO THE BACK OF A MAIL TRUCK. HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED HOME COULD HAVE BEEN A FATALITY.

WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP LIGHT, THE VEHICLE HESITATES/STALLS AND THEN JERKS AS I TRY TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.
THE FRONT BRAKES ARE EXTREMELY TOUCHY, PERIODICALLY WHEN COMING TO A STOP. WHEN YOU JUST IMMEDIATELY TOUCH THE BRAKES IT LOW-SPEED THE CAR COMES TO A JERKING STOP. I READ ONLINE THERE IS A RECALL DUE TO SOME IMPROPER SOFTWARE BEING INSTALLED DURING THE TIMEFRAME MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED. I WOULD THINK THIS COULD ABSOLUTELY CONTRIBUTE TO THE PROBLEM. EVER SINCE I PURCHASED A VEHICLE I'VE COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THERE'S NO PROBLEM. I WENT TO THE DEALER ABOUT THE ONLINE NOTIFICATION AND THEY TOLD ME THE ONLY RECALL IS FOR BRAKE HOSES AND THEY HAVE NOTHING FOR ANTI-LOCK SOFTWARE ISSUES. COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE CLEAR THIS UP FOR ME AS I CAN'T EVEN USE THIS VEHICLE TO TEACH MY DAUGHTERS HOW TO DRIVE BECAUSE THE BRAKES ARE SO UNPREDICTABLY TOUCHY. THE WHEEL LUG NUTS SWELL UP SO THAT A 21MM WRENCH WONT FIT AND A 22MM WRENCH IS TOO LOOSE. THE LUGS ARE A TWO PIECE CONSTRUCTION AND WHAT HAPPENS IS THE INNER PIECE CA ROADS AND SWELLS THE OUTSIDE PIECE. DEALER SAYS ALL 20 NUTS HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT A COAST OF $200. FORD HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS ! MY NEPHEW HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON HIS 2011 F-150 FORD TRUCK.I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY GAVE ME A CLAIM NUMBER CAS-17162485. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IF I GET A FLAT TIRE MY LUG WRENCH IS USELESS AND I WOULD BE STRANDED. SITTING IN MY GARAGE, THE CAR WAS RUNNING AND WARMING UP. REAR DEFROSTER WAS ON AS WAS HEAT IN CAR. OAT WAS 35 DEG F. REAR WINDOW EXPLODED ALONG BOTTOM EDGE WITH NO OUTSIDE INFLUENCE. MANY OTHER EDGE OWNERS HAVE REPORTED SIMILAR INCIDENTS OF THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERING ON ITS OWN. PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND ISSUE A RECALL. ON FEBRUARY 7, 2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 7:30PM I ARRIVED AT MY HOME AND PARKED THE VEHICLE IN MY DRIVEWAY. NOTHING UNUSUAL WAS NOTED ABOUT THE VEHICLE. AT APPROXIMATELY 9:50PM THAT EVENING I ATTEMPTED TO BACK OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY. THE VEHICLE STARTED NORMALLY BUT HAD NO POWER STEERING. THE FOLLOWING FAULTS WERE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL: "STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUESTED, "HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE", "SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC". THE "TRACTION CONTROL OFF" ICON WAS DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I COULD NOT CHECK THE "TRACTION CONTROL" BOX ON THE DRIVER ASSIST MENU. I DID NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY. ON THE MORNING OF FEBRUARY 8, 2019 THE VEHICLE WAS LOADED ON A ROLLBACK AND TAKEN TO THE FORD DEALER FOR REPAIR. IN THE AFTERNOON OF FEBRUARY 8, THE FORD DEALER SERVICE INDIVIDUAL ADVISED ME THAT THE STEERING BOX ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE AND WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR INSTALLATION UNTIL MONDAY FEBRUARY 11. FORTUNATELY THE LOSS OF STEERING EVENT HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND NOT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION.
PANORAMIC SUNROOF CRACKED WITHOUT ANY IMPACT
REAR WINDOW SHATTERED ON OWN WHEN CAR WAS PARKED. COPS CAME AND NO EVIDENCE OF FOUL PLAY. WAS PARKED ON SIDE OF STREET FOR 15 MINS WHEN OCCURRED AND IN 30 DEGREE WEATHER
MOON ROOF WILL NOT CLOSE. OUT OF ALIGNMENT.....2ND TIME THIS HAPPENED. FIRST TIME WAS AFTER DEFECTIVE GLASS FIXED AS GLASS HAD RANDOM CRACKS. CAR WAS PARKED BOTH TIMES WHEN THESE PROBLEMS OCCURRED. ONE IN SUMMER, NEXT IN WINTER.
Material used for tail light housing develop cracks from changes in temperature allowing water into the housing and impacting the function of brake and reverse lights.
TAKARA RECALL I HAVE HAD CONTINUOUS ISSUES WITH MY 2015 EDGE WITH THE DOORS BECOMING AJAR. THE FIRST TIME I WAS STUCK IN BELOW ZERO CONDITIONS, WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO HAVE MY HEART ON CLOSE MY DOORS OR LOCK THEM. IF THAT WASNT ENOUGH, I HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK BECAUSE MY CAR BATTERY DIED AS A RESULT OF BEING ABLE TO CLOSE THE DOORS. THIS HAS HAPPENED COUNTLESS TIMES AND NOW AGAIN I HAVE ANOTHER ISSUE BUT THE LIFT GATE IS AJAR. THIS TIME HOWEVER THE CAR IS STILL DRIVING. HOW CAN FORD NOT RECALL THIS? YOU SAY IT ISN'T A SAFETY ISSUE BUT I COULD HAVE FROZE TO DEATH, BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED WHEN I'M DRIVING AND THE DOOR SUDDENLY FLIES OPEN. CORRECT THIS. I WILL END UP FILING A LAWSUIT IF ANYTHING HAPPENS AGAIN. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR A YEAR AGO. YOU CANNOT JUSTIFY A $40,000 CAR NOT BEING ABLE TO OPEN OR CLOSE MY DOORS OR TRUNK. GET IT FIGURED OUT OR I WILL BE CONTACTING SOMEONE WHO WILL. I'VE BEEN IN SUPPORT OF FORD SINCE I WAS 16. YOU'RE ABOUT TO LOOSE A VALUABLE CUSTOMER AND I'M ABOUT TO SPREAD THE WORD HOW FORD CANT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES.
WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE, THE RPMS SKY ROCKET BUT WON'T CHANGE. IT'S NOT SHIFTING GEARS AS AN AUTOMATIC IS SUPPOSED TO. ALSO, THE ENGINE HAS BEEN MAKING A WEIRD NOISE ON AND OFF AND WHEN WE TOOK IT IN, THEY TURNED IT ON AND PRESSED THE GAS AND SAID IT WAS FINE. NEVER HAD IT ON RECORD OR ANYTHING. THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT ABOUT 23K AND NOW THE CAR IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AT 50K WITH THE FUEL PUMP OR THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS IT DID BEFORE HAVING THE CAR LUNGE FORWARD OR VIBRATE.
JUST DRIVING DOWN RURAL ROAD DOING 45 MPH, ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF, WARNING CAME UP SAID TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK, PUT IN PARK IT RESTARTED AND WAS FINE THE REMAINDER OF TRIP
I WAS DRIVING, SLOWER AND TURNED LEFT AND FULL ACCESSORY POWER OFF SHOWED UP ON THE PANEL AND MY CAR DIED. I QUICKLY PUT ON MY FLASHERS AND COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, JUST IN TIME FROM GETTING REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE MAKING THE TURN. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND WAITED A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND RESTARTED THE CAR.
DISCOVERED ON OR ABOUT 11/19/18 A WAVY CRACK/FISSURE ACROSS REAR-MOST MOON ROOF IWINDOW. THIS IS THE WINDOW COMPONENT OF THE MOON ROOF WHICH DOES NOT MOVE.. THE WINDOW CRACK/FISSURE WAS NOT THE RESULT OF ANY ACCIDENT OR IMPACT WITH ANY OBJECT. I HAVE 38,000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE. INTERNET SEARCH SUGGESTS THIS MAY BE A COMMON VEHICLE DEFECT. FORTUNATELY THE WINDOW HAS NOT SHATTERED.

THE CAR KEEPS LOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING!! IT FLASHES "FULL ACCESSORY POWER MODE" AND THEN COMPLETELY LOSES POWER! THIS LAST TIME WAS MID TURN INTO A STRIP MALL WITH TRAFFIC COMING. I THANK GOD MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT! THERE IS NO WARNING OR ANYTHING WHEN THIS HAPPENS, IT JUST QUITS! THIS IS THE 5TH INCIDENT!! HAD IT FIXED BY SAFELITE. - FEB 2019, MULTIPLE DAYS OF RAIN IN VEGAS ... AGAIN, THE FLOORBOARDS FLOOD, CRACKLING IN THE SPEAKERS. - CALLED GAUDIN FORD MULTIPLE TIMES (5-6) FROM SERVICE MANAGER, VEHICLE REP, GM AND HEAD OF SERVICE DEPT ... CALLS NOT RETURNED. - MADE TWO CALLS TO FORDS CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE IN OCT 2018 AND AGAIN IN MAY 2019 FOR HELP ... BOTH TIMES SAID THIS ISSUE IS NO LONGER COVERED BY YOUR WARRANTY. - WANT FORD TO FIX THIS ORIGINATION ISSUE FROM MANUFACTURE DATE (I HAVE DOCUMENTATION THAT IT WAS FROM THE PLANT THAT THE ISSUE ORIGINATED FROM) AND I WANT THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM GAUDIN FORD TO BE ADDRESSED.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON 09/29/18 WITH NO CRACKS. UPON OPENING THE COVER TO THE VISTA SUNROOF ON 0.9/30/18, BOTH FRONT AND BACK PANELS HAD DEVELOPED LONG WAVE LIKE CRACKS BETWEEN THE LAYERS OF GLASS. THERE IS NO INDICATION OF IMPACT TO THE PANELS. A PEN TRACK TEST WAS PERFORMED WITH NO FINDINGS OF ANY IMPACT POINTS. THIS APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT IN THE MATERIAL OR MANUFACTURING PROCESS AS THESE CRACKS APPEAR TO BE STRESS RELATED AND NOT IMPACT RELATED.
2015 FORD EDGE WITH 45, 250 MILES. I WAS DRIVING ALONG AND WENT TO APPLY MY BRAKES. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I WAS APPROACHING A RED LIGHT. I PUMPED AND PUMBER TO SLOW DOWN. AT THAT TIME, THE BRAKE LIGHT AND THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHTS CAME ON. I HAD NO BRAKES. I HAD TO PULL THE ELECTRIC BARKING BRAKE UP TO STOP. I HAD TO TRAVEL A LITTLE WAYS MORE AND MAKE A U-TURN IN THE MIDDLE OF A 4 LANE BUSY , MAJOR HIGHWAY, IN ORDER TO GET TO A SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT. THERE AGAIN NO BRAKES - HAD TO USE MY ELECTRIC PARKING. I WAS SO AFRAID. I AM JUST THANKFUL I THOUGHT OF THE HAND BRAKE, WHICH ALMOST THREW US IN THE WINDSHEILD. IT WAS SUCH A HARD STOP. I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO GET THE CAR AND TOW THE DEALERSHIP. THEY HAVE VERIFIED, BRAKE LINE BUSTED ON MY CAR. IT HAS A SPLIT IN IT. I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I BELIEVE THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS MATTER. BRAKE LINE BUSTED ON SOMETHING WITH THAT LOW OF MILES.
PURCHASED 2015 FORD EDGE IN AUGUST 2018, PURCHASED BY MY SON. WE ASKED IF THE SUNROOF WAS THE SAME GLASS AS WINDSHIELD. DEALERSHIP DID NOT READILY KNOW BUT THE 2 PANELS SAID LAMINATE. ONE SUNROOF PANET BROKE AND DEALER SAID IT WASNT THEIR PROBLEM SUV WAS PURCHASED UNDER WARANTY AND NEWLY OWNED, WITHING ABOUT 20 DAYS. THE DEALER TOLD MY SON TO CALL INSURANCE AND INSUARANCE WAS TO PAY PLUS MY SON PAID DEDUCTIBLE. THE DEALERS AUTO BODY SAID THEY FOUND A PIECE OF GLASS AND REPLACED IT RATHER THAN ORDER NEW. THE DEALER REPLACED WITH THE TYPE OF GLASS THAT IS TEXTURED AND THEY SAID IT SHATTERS INTO SMALL PIECES. IT DOES NOT MATCH THE TINTED LAMINATE THAT WAS THERE OR THE SECOND OTHER SUNROOF PANEL THAT IS THERE. IT CAN'T BE USED FOR FEAR OF EXPLODING AND WHY DID THEY PUT IN SOMETHING UNSAFE AND WORTHLESS.
CAR WAS TAKEN TO LIBERTY FORD IN WARRENSVILLE RECENTLY FOR AN OIL CHANGE. TOLD THAT THE OIL PAN WAS CRACKED AND OIL WAS LEAKING. NEEDED REPAIR. INDICATED THAT THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY. SO REPAIR WOULD BE DONE FREE. NO INDICATION OF PROBLEM UNTIL CAR WAS TAKEN IN TO SHOP FOR OIL CHANGE. TOLD IT WAS A SMALL LEAK WHEN ASKED WHY I DIDN'T NOTICE IT!
SPONTANEOUS 30 INCH CRACK TO THE FRONT PANEL OF THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF. CONCERN FOR DEFECTIVE GLASS.
2015 FORD EDGE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS EXTREMELY HARD WHEN CHANGING ACCELERATION RATES FROM LOW TO HIGH. SOME TIMES YOU CAN HEAR THE ENGINE REV BEFORE IT DROPS IT INTO GEAR. THIS HAPPENS IN BOTH CITY AND HIGHWAY DRIVING AT ALL TIMES OF THE YEAR.
JUST OVER A MONTH AFTER PURCHASE, MOONROOF BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION. IT WOULD OPEN, BUT NOT CLOSE. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN A PARKING LOT.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE MAKING STEERING NEAR IMPOSSIBLE.
REAR ROOF GLASS HAS NOW CRACKED FOR A SECOND TIME. SPIDER-LIKE VEINS. INSURANCE CLAIM COVERED THE FIRST REPAIR, BUT CLEARLY THE MANUFACTURER HAS AN ISSUE BASED ON THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. COULDN'T TELL YOU WHEN OR HOW IT HAPPENED, BUT THERE IS NO VISIBLE DAMAGE (I.E. ROCK, ETC.) THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THE BREAKAGE. FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE.

WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE BETWEEN 45 AND 60 MPH ON CITY STREETS AND RURAL HIGHWAYS, RECEIVED A MESSAGE ON MY SCREEN STATING "THE USB DEVICE IS CONSUMING EXCESSIVE POWER. IT MAY NOT WORK CORRECTLY WITH SYNC."; BUT, THIS IS THE SAME DEVICE I'VE BEEN USING PLUGGED INTO THE SAME USB PORT EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE ON 07/07/15. I COULDN'T GET THIS MESSAGE TO CLEAR; BUT, SOON AFTERWARDS THIS MESSAGE APPEARED "NAVIGATION FAULT. PLEASE SEE THE TOUCHSCREEN" AND THE TOUCHSCREEN SHOWED THIS MESSAGE "INSERT NAV SD CARD"; BUT, MY NAV SD CARD WHICH IS AN A8 WAS INSERTED. SOON AFTER THIS MESSAGE APPEARED THE SCREEN WENT COMPLETELY DARK BEFORE IT BEGAN "PERFORMING SCHEDULED SYSTEM MAINTENANCE". MY VEHICLE WAS ORIGINALLY IN THE SHOP FOR THIS SAME ISSUE ON 07/19, 08/02 AND 08/04. DURING THE 07/19 VISIT THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIVE ACTIONS WERE TAKEN BY THE DEALERSHIP: S154 DIAG, POWER RESET AND APIM UPDATE TO SOFTWARE LEVEL 15128. FOLLOW-UP VISIT 08/02 INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIVE ACTIONS BY THE DEALERSHIP: S154 DIAG, APIM POWER RESET AND MASTER RESET. WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY, 08/07 TO HEAR BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP REGARDING RECOMMENDED ACTIONS TO RESOLVE THIS ONGOING ISSUE.
MY CAR HAS LOST ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING MULTIPLE TIMES. THE DASH SAYS "FULL POWER ACCESSORY ACTIVE". I HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTART IT. THE LAST TIME I WAS DRIVING 60 MPH ON A BUSY HIGHWAY SO THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION ESPECIALLY IF I WAS SOMEWHERE THAT DIDN'T HAVE A AN AREA FOR ME TO PULL OVER OR HAD I BEEN STUCK IN THE MIDDLE LANE! THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED IMMEDIATELY!
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM INCLUDING PART OF THE DASHBOARD AS WELL AS THE VIEWING SCREEN, RADIO, CLOCK, NAVIGATION, FRONT/REAR CAMERAS, CLIMATE CONTROL AND TELEPHONE PAIRING ARE FREQUENTLY RESETTING WHILE IN USE SHOWING A MESSAGE THAT THE SYSTEM IS UNDERGOING ROUTINE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE; HOWEVER, THIS IS OCCURRING MUCH TOO FREQUENTLY.
