This is for recall 25s89/ NHTSA 25V572. Took my car to the dealer and they confirmed and found C1001:01. They refused service and blamed a faulty wire harness. They stated fixed points which indicates tampering or previous repair which I am the original owner and have never had electrical work done on the vehicle. They are trying to charge me $1700 for a wire harness and refusing to do the safety recall
My rear passenger brake hose has ruptured, car is not drivable, Ford will not fix it, they said the part is available but they cannot fix it yet. Its FORDS problem, the recall is there posted, my hose has failed, and I cant even the car to the dealer to get it fixed. They will not tow it or pay to fix it. I understand that the recall is in advanced notice, but the problem has already happened to me. I cannot afford to pay $600 plus towing fees to get it to the ford dealer to fix it.
My RDU (rear diffrencial unit) went out at 122k miles directly after replacing the fluid at the shop. This repair was extreamly exprensive totalling out at 5k. With still owing 11k on my loan. I feel this is a ford defect that needs to be remediated.

The vehicle developed a rattle at idle and noise from the transmission bell housing area. Lafayette Ford in North Carolina has confirmed the issue is caused by a cracked flexplate, which is a known defect covered under Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 22N12.
I received a safety recall notice in September 2025 regarding my vehicle's rear flexible brake hose possibly having a leak. At that time the notice stated parts were not available but the Ford Company was working to provide parts for the repair and would notify me by mail to schedule an appointment to complete the repairs. I have called on several occasions, to several Ford dealerships, since September 2025 to follow up on this safety issue and schedule a repair only to be told there are still no parts available. A leaking rear flexible break hose causes a huge safety concern and should be addressed in a more timely manner by the car company. It is now six months with no resolve. This type of fix does not entail creative engineering, it simply involves replacing a common car part. I believe this delay in repair has become negligent and needs to be documented for when there is a poor outcome due to delayed braking.
The car has only 82,273 miles on it. We experienced rough idling and took it to a mechanic. They found that the #2 cylinder was cracked and leaking coolant into the cylinder. They also stated that this is a known manufactured defect, but there is no recall by Ford. They gave an estimate of $9000 to get a new modified engine. We took it to another mechanic for a second opinion and he confirmed the crack and charged us $5000 for the new modified engine.

Transmission shuddering at low speeds. Losing acceleration getting on to highway. Hard shifting and slippage.
Rear differential failed, multiple complaints with this vehicle online but no recall yet?
Received recall notice around August 2025. Called ford and they said there was no fix for the current recall. February 2026 my daughter was driving home and lost all pressure in her brakes. She made it home safely and I added brake fluid and started the car and as I pumped the brakes fluid started pouring out from the rear hose. I called ford and had it towed down to the dealership the next morning. They fixed it and confirmed it was the rear brake hose which was listed in the recall but it hadn’t been posted yet so I had to pay everything out of pocket to include tow, car rental and repairs.
My vehicle is having an internal coolant leak inside the engine, which is a known issue with this 2.0 eco-boost. Symptoms are: •misfire on cylinder two about once a week •low coolant, and eventually hearing the waterfall sound from air in the coolant system •rough idle during 1st start of the day occasionally •white exhaust first start of the day occasionally
We keep replacing the purge valve solenoid. There was a recall in 2021 but 2025 and now we have to change it within a week or two after putting the new one on. It has went dead going underneath a red light and just turning in the roadway. It is getting very dangerous.Help please!

I started my Edge as I always do and the display panel kept changing from audio, to settings and on and on. It went thru all the choices and it kept going for about 20 mins until I could safely pull over to find the problem. The radio continues to play thru .the clicking of it changing choices. When I pulled over I put the car in park and shut my edge off, waited a few mins and started it again. It continues to cycle thru the choices. I shut the car off again, opened my door , closed my door, then restarted my edge. This stopped it from cycling thru the options again. I am also wondering about the other two recalls for my edge, the rear brake line and the rear camera. It has been over 6 months since I was notified and would like these fixed or give me a new car. Brakes are a very important thing and I do not think you really know what will happen if I’m going 60 mph down the highway and I have to stop quick. Please reply to this and let me know about the cycling thru choices and if you have a fix yet for the other recalls

On January 25, 2026, my 2016 Ford Edge experienced a catastrophic brake system failure corresponding to NHTSA Safety Recall 25V-544. The front brake jounce hose ruptured at the crimp, resulting in the immediate and total loss of brake fluid and zero braking pressure. The vehicle is effectively without brakes and is unsafe to operate. I attempted to schedule service with the authorized dealer (Pat Armstrong Ford in Wenatchee, WA). The dealer refused to intake the vehicle or authorize a safety rental/loaner, citing that "no remedy is currently available" from Ford Motor Company. I am currently stranded with a vehicle that has actively failed due to the safety defect described in the recall. The manufacturer's inability to provide a timely remedy, combined with the dealership's refusal to provide alternate transportation for a "Vehicle Off Road" (VOR) condition, presents an immediate safety risk. I have attached photos verifying the ruptured hose and fluid saturation.
Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2016 Ford Edge SE Engine: 2.0L EcoBoost Mileage at Failure: ~79,000 miles Description of the Problem: I am reporting a safety-related defect involving engine coolant intrusion into the cylinders on my 2016 Ford Edge equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine. At approximately 79,000 miles, my vehicle experienced engine misfires and internal coolant loss. A Ford dealership diagnosed the issue as coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders caused by internal engine block failure, which required replacement of the engine block / engine assembly. Safety Concern: This failure presents a safety hazard due to: -Sudden loss of engine power -Risk of engine stalling while driving -Increased chance of breakdown in traffic -Potential loss of vehicle control in certain driving conditions An engine should not experience catastrophic internal failure at this mileage under normal operating and maintenance conditions. Known Pattern and Manufacturer Awareness: This issue is well-documented across numerous Ford vehicles equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, including the 2015–2018 Ford Edge and other Ford models. Ford has issued multiple Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) addressing coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders due to engine block design issues, demonstrating manufacturer awareness of the defect. Despite this, no recall has been issued, and affected owners are often denied assistance once the vehicle is outside the warranty period. Request to NHTSA: -Review this issue as a potential defect investigation -Evaluate the frequency/safety implications of coolant intrusion failures in Ford 2.0L EcoBoost engines - Consider whether further action or recall is warranted to protect vehicle owners and the public

Every time I fill my gas tank up the car acts like it will not turn over and gives me a battery error. I have a brand new battery in my car and key just replaced both December 2025. After turning the car off and waiting then hitting the start button the car will start up then shutter. After going down the road it's fine and doesn't have the issue of not starting.

Coolant leak with coolant intrusion into cylinder 2. This problem was reproduced by the dealer and we had to have a new engine installed.
Coolant intrusion into 2 and 3 cylinder, only 80,000 miles and the vehicle has been maintained religiously and we have to replace the engine!
taking off from a stop, turning at slow speeds, taking off into a turn when the power is transferred to the rear axel the entire rear end of the vehicle shakes, shutters, judders, pops, chunks until power stops going to rear drive. (AWD). Ford dealership performed and charged me several services that did not fix the problem. I have now taken it to a another shop. The tech has mentioned that he found a service bulletin for this problem. I have searched but have not found the bulletin.
See attached document for complaint. I am writing regarding an issue I am having getting a refund for something I paid for to have repaired that was placed on a recall list by Ford 6 months later. In March 2025 my Ford Edge Sport suddenly lost brakes while I was driving. Thankfully I was not going fast and was able to get pulled over without an accident. I took my car into to the local Ford dealership here in Palestine, TX on 3/20/25 where I had this issue repaired. I received the car back on 3/21/25. I paid 563.16 in total for the repairs. In September 2025, I received a recall letter for this issue. When I called the local dealer I was told I would have to wait for a second letter before they could issue me a refund, and that the company might make me bring it back in again once that second letter was received. I have not received a second letter to date so I reached out again to the local Ford dealership on 11/17/25 and was told they have no idea when this may occur, that it could be months or a year. When this is a recall issue that I have already had to deal with and pay for, why do I have to wait for a refund? Please assist in this issue.
- door hinge failure - hinge assembly intact but the weld area failed and tore the base from the door structure - door wont close or open properly - not as of yet no warning lamps just a non functional door. the failure is identical to the linked complaint [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My brake pressure dropped rapidly and the ABS and brake system warnings lit up. I added brake fluid and it leaked out from the rear passenger side brake line. Took car to dealer and they confirmed a recall on the brake lines and replaced the lines. I was responsible for the repair cost and the dealer was not able to process reimbursement until unknown date of Ford completing recall instructions.
The rear window spontaneously shattered/exploded. The rear defrosted was on as well as the rear wiper. It was 30 degrees outside.
My vehicle previously had recall work, including power steering, but now I’m experiencing: * ‘Steering Assist Required’ warning, and the electric power steering is intermittently failing * Traction control and hill assist turned off * Headlights (and other lights) staying on even when the car is off * The vehicle pulls sharply to the left when braking * Despite multiple alignments and suspension/tie rod replacements, my new tires are wearing out rapidly
I’ve had my car nine years. No problems with the body there’s no rust on it at all, and I love my ford. Just as I hit 100,000 miles the warning light came on the car. Come to find out it is a head gasket leak and is required to have a whole new engine. Yes the warranty is over as the car has been paid for and the warranty is expired. My complaint is that Ford knows this is an issue which I know for a fact that they know this. I cannot afford $7100 for a new engine when I just want to keep my car. I can’t even afford another car not even a beater for $1000. I’m complaining that ford knows this is a known issue, but because I am out of warranty, they will not help me. I’ve had ford’s most of my life and never had an issue like this. Very disappointing that a big company like this has a known issue but will not help repair it.
The front brake hose ruptured and the brakes went out. This is consistent with the recall NHTSA Campaign # 20V469000. Ford dealer is refusing to fix it saying only the rear hose is covered. But it clearly states in the recall released on Aug 2020 it is the Front hose.
The contact owned a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that cylinder #3 needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred approximately two weeks later. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that all three cylinders needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred approximately a week later. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics, where it was diagnosed that an unknown hose had leaked fluid into the engine, and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, where the same assessment was made. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH, the engine warning light illuminated. The driver became aware that the coolant level was low. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed that the failure was due to a misfire in cylinders #2 and #3. The contact stated that the spark plugs were replaced, and coolant was added, but the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that coolant was leaking into the engine. The mechanic informed the contact that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact called an unknown local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and confirmed there was no recall coverage for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
See attached document for complaint. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the handling of safety recalls 25V572 and 25V544 on my vehicle, and to urgently request your assistance in having all repairs authorized at a local Ford dealership, due to the profound unprofessionalism and neglect I have experienced from the selling dealership, Pure Honda Ferndale. My vehicle is a 2016 Ford Edge Sport with approximately 101,003 miles. I purchased it from Pure Honda Ferndale just prior to being notified of these active recalls, after which the vehicle was understandably grounded. The core of my issue lies with the conduct of the dealership's management. Before the recall notice and the vehicle being pulled from sale, I was in direct communication with the General Manager, Mr. Sheldon Taylor. He personally assured me that he would resolve several preexisting issues, including arranging for a vehicle exchange or repairs. These issues include the dealership selling me defective and outdated tires and a rim package that no local tire shop will service, as well as a noticeable and hazardous defect in the SYNC system where the screen experiences complete blackouts, particularly when using the navigation and radio. However, once the reca ll was enforced, Mr. Taylor ceased all communication and delegated my case to a sales representative, who has since also ignored my repeated calls and the recall notices I have provided. I have been left with a vehicle I cannot safely drive due to the open recalls and an infotainment system that fails unpredictably, creating significant distraction and safety risk. The dealership that sold me this problematic vehicle now refuses to take responsibility for its prior promises. Given the complete breakdown in communication and the lack of professional accountability from Pure Honda Ferndale, I do not trust them to manage my vehicle's critical safety repairs or address this additional SYNC system defect. Therefore, I respectfully request that the NHTSA assist me in obtaining permission to have the required recall repairs (2SVS72 and 25V544) as well as the diagnosis and repair of the SYNC system blackouts completed at a certified Ford dealership near my home. I believe this is a necessary step to ensure all work is done correctly and that I am treated with the professionalism and respect that Pure Honda Ferndale has failed to provide. For your reference, I have included photographs of the vehicle, taken approximately four days after I took possession, which document its condition at that time. I look forward to your prompt response and guidance on how to resolve this serious matter.
My 2016 Ford Edge has 95,000 miles on it and I have only owned it since Spring of this year. Out of nowhere, I start having an antifreeze leak, and notice it is coming from my water pump, and my mechanic says it is going to cost $2000 plus dollars to fix it. I called several other repair places and they won’t even do the repair because it’s such a big/expensive job. I have researched about the class action lawsuit about this particular problem in my exact model with the 3.5L motor. If my Dad had not of noticed the leak, it would have completely ruined my motor driving it around much longer. I am struggling financially after having serious health problems this summer, and I simply can’t afford to pay for this repair. I can’t even get approved for any more loans or credit cards, because I am in so much debt. I want to know what can be done about this, as this is way too much financial stress for me to have to deal with. At the very least, Ford should compensate me and take care of the repair costs.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed in the rain, the vehicle started jerking. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to respond and crashed into a tree. The front driver's side air bag and the knee air bag deployed. The contact sustained neck and ankle injuries and was transported to the local emergency room for medical attention. A police report was filed; however, the report number was not provided to the contact. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V544000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic), which the contact related to the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Rear view camera was distorted and didn’t show a vehicle behind me when I backed out of parking spot and made contact with another vehicle.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that the sound was like a metal-on-metal grinding sound. The sound was very loud, and the vehicle was shaking abnormally. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to the residence and called a mobile mechanic to diagnose the vehicle. The mechanic advised the contact that the motor mount bolts on the passenger’s side had sheared off, and the engine had slipped out of position. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 161,000.

While in reverse, the back-over prevention camera displayed a black screen. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
The coolant is leaking into the engine area. Causing repeated coil failures and misfire and i assume damage to engine. I believe engine block needs to repaired or replaced. Also, during both dry and especially slippery/wet conditions... my vehicle is veering to both sides on its own while driving .my hands are on wheel going straight and it just drifts, slips and slides. Afraid I'm going to crash. No warning lights. Might be esc and or abs systems. It seems these are known issues for this year make and model but these recalls and warnings for some reason are not attached to my VIN. I need them attached to my VIN so that I can take to Ford dealership for repair before these system failures kill me.
My 2016 Ford with only 56,210 miles has developed a critical engine failure. The engine block due to a manufactuing design flaw has caused the coolant to leak into one of the cylinders. Dealership informed me I need a new motor at the cost of $7300.00. Ford will not stand behind the repair due to the age of my vehicle. It's in excellent condition other than the defective engine block.
Coolant leaks into engine. Also leaks into spark plugs causing spark plug misfire. Engine block cracked. Only at 66k miles
