My battery savor comes on 2 times a week my battery came with my cat not even 3 years old
1st noticed problem- turning sharply to the right heard clunking coming from under car. Put car into reverse and felt like brake was on. But wasn't. Clunking stop when put back into forward and parked car. One hour later, drove a mile and a half home. No clunking until I backed into driveway. Clunking stopped after going in reverse about 10-15 feet. Drove to Dealer next morning. Couldn't get clunking to happen at quicklane. A few days later went to lunch and was backing into parking spot and clunking returned. After lunch drove to Dealer. They witnessed the clunking. Put car on hoist and checked obvious spots nothing found. Provided loaner and after determining differential was the problem. (almost $5000.00). Problem repaired next day. Had car about 2 weeks and clunking appeared when we were 3 hours away from Dealer. Called and made it to the dealer before closing. Clunking was noticed and this time at the dealer the transfer case was the issue. (Another $5000.00). They said this was the cause of the differential problems. After waiting for a week for ford to release a new transfer case, the car was again repaired. The mileage range of 400 to 1000 was given for the parts to get back in sync and stop making the clunking. We have now have about 600 miles after the last repair and an occasional clunking is still appearing. One more note. We will be traveling to Michigan from Florida in 2 weeks. (1771 miles). Is this car a lemon? Issues started after 60,000 checkup was done.

The backup camera isn't working properly; it's very dim and glitchy. This was a known and recalled issue for 2021 - 2022 Ford Edges, but because of my VIN number, they won't fix it without charging me. If I'm having the same issue as the other recalled ones, why won't you service mine?

The transmission makes a loud “bang” when shifting from first to second gear. A simultaneous vibration can be felt in the driver seat when this happens. There is also an extremely hard up shift from first to second gear. A dealer reprogrammed the transmission computers but the issue is still present.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving across an intersection, a work vehicle ran across the intersection. As a result, the contact's vehicle T-boned the work vehicle, which came to a stop. The front driver's side air bag and the front passenger side air bag did not deploy. It was unknown if any warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the impact crushed the metal on the driver's side, which caused the driver's side door not to open. The contact exited the vehicle from the front passenger-side door. The police were called to the scene. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The contact sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right hip. The contact was taken to the hospital by a family member later in the day. The doctor diagnosed that the contact had sustained a slap tear on the right shoulder and a slight tear on the right hip. The contact underwent surgery on the right shoulder. The insurance company was waiting for the report from the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a claim was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
The car was in a front end collision; the airbags did not deploy. Insurance said the car was reparable and fixed it; car was picked up from body shop on 07/19/2024. In May 2025, at only 3 years old, the transmission went out at 95,000 miles and was just replaced. Ford would not admit the accident had anything to do with the transmission going out on a 3 year old car. I was quoted almost $10,000 to replace it, but Ford "helped" and paid $4000 and I was left with the balance of $6200.
The vehicle hesitates, bucks, and surges when accelerating from low speed 0-25 mph up to around 50mph making it difficult and hazardous merging into traffic and other driving situations. The hesitation, bucking, and surging is getting progressively worse and occurs at higher speeds now.
Bought this vehicle from Bayou Ford in LaPlace, LA around 2 months ago. The back up camera stopped working correctly after first month. Paid to have reset at Ford dealer in Slidell, they said wasn't on recall. It's got squiggly lines when selecting reverse on shifter, unable to view behind me. This is dangerous as it's a large vehicle and I fear running over something or into another vehicle out of view. This is the exact problem as the recall indicates. The Slidell dealer said it would be over 1K to replace a camera and I don't have it after just buying thr vehicle. This should not be happening with a 2 year old vehicle. Can someone please help me? This vehicle was purchased new during April of 2023. Since the date of purchase it has been and continues to be impossible for a heavyset person to fasten the seatbelt while seated in the right rear seat. This is due to the following facts. The seat belt buckle at that location ONLY is physically different than all the other buckles in the rest of the vehicle. This renders a standard Edge seatbelt extension unusable at that location ONLY. While a part number exists for this unique, single location application seat belt extension, THE PART ITSELF DOES NOT ACTUALLY EXIST. Despite having been on "backorder" for nearly one year now, Ford is evidently refusing to manufacture and/or supply this vital safety appliance. Accordingly, the fact remains that, each and every time our heavyset family member rides in the right rear seat of this otherwise wonderful vehicle, THEIR LIFE IS POTENTIALLY AT RISK! I checked with the parts department at Riverview Ford in Oswego, IL yesterday and was told that "the part is still on backorder with no ETA." Your help is respectfully requested in resolving this crucial safety issue. Sincerely yours, [XXX] , [XXX] , [XXX] Cellular (Text and Voice), [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Rear power lift-gate sensor activates and causes lift-gate to close while reaching into of out of vehicle. Has occurred 20 + times.
I noticed a clicking noise coming from the right front wheel when turning left. I also notice when I put the vehicle into drive I hear a clicking sound. I was driving came to a stop and heard a click sound when I took off. I would guess it's the actual drive shaft that is bad.
Vehicle starting giving blocked front sensor errors disabling adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning and emergency braking systems. Car was cleaned and all sensors were clear but issue continued. The safety concern was that it unexpected and without any reason applied the collision warning and automatic braking a couple if times, which is very unsafe
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle was significantly close to the vehicle in front of him; however, the Forward Collision Avoidance system failed to engage. A message indicating that the Forward Collision Avoidance sensors had failed was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the detachment of the bracket attached to the front bumper. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the Adaptive Cruise Control mode was inoperable while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who made the same assessment and charged a repair fee. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the failure might have been caused by a frontal collision; however, the contact stated that the front of the vehicle did not show signs of a front impact collision. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000.
While braking for a red light the car jerked sporadically as it slowed with normal braking applied but the brakes delayed while vehicle jerked and lunged forward. Vehicle lunged forward into the intersection even further past the red light while brake was compressed aggressively, lunged forward 2-3 feet. Then engine died after it lunged forward. Took 2 attempts to restart car and had to rev the engine to move from blocking intersection.
Wireless phone charger continuously overheats phone and surrounding area. I have noticed this in many recent model Ford's and Lincoln's..
I've been having intermediate issues with my 2022 Ford Edge starting and leaving me stranded with no warning signs. Its been to (2) dealers to be serviced ( Avis Ford & Suburban Ford of Waterford) both dealers have been unable to diagnose the issue. My vehicle only have 26000 miles and is still under manufactures warranty. I leased to prevent such issues and have been left in unsafe circumstances numerous times and not that the Summer weather has begun, I'm afraid that myself with server Asthma will be left along side a road or parking lot with no air conditioning as my vehicle wont start.
I have had the liftgate lower unexpectedly in two separate incidents causing injury. The first happed two weeks ago at a filling station. I was exited the passenger side and walked behind the car to reach the pump. When I got to the pump I turned around to go back to get my wallet. At that moment I struck the liftgate and it cut my head because it had opened without warning and I turned directly into it. (I am 6'2" tall). The second time was today. I was putting groceries into the car and I turned to get more groceries from the cart. As I turned back towards the car, the liftgate was lowering without warning and clobbered me in the head again. I have a picture from today. While these are the only two occurrences that I was injured, there have been others where I was able to quickly catch the tailgate as it tried to close while I was standing there. In all of these cases I do not have my foot near the sensor. I will be calling the dealer tomorrow to make an appointment. This is very dangerous particularly for taller people. When the gate closes there is a faint sound coming from the front of the car but it is hard to hear when you are in a parking lot. This has been going on since purchase, but this month is the first time I was injured.
I got the Edge in 02/18/23 purchased brand. I noticed that the drivers seat is loose. I actual took into the dealer where it was purchased and I was told it would take 3 months to look at it. Needless to say I didn't leave the vehicle. I also notice that body trim was coming off and I filed a claim with Ford but I was told a dealer would have to send pictures and they would decide if they would cover it under warranty. The lane keep assist or Ford Co-pliot will over compensate and if not careful will cause a crash.
Driving on highway, was not raining snowing or hailing and sunroof spontaneously shattered. Did not see any debris and was not driving behind a truck or car that had any loose debris. No obvious sign of impact, the sunshade is intact and was not damaged.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as designed. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on three separate occasions while his wife was driving. On one occasion while making a turn, the vehicle stalled, nearly causing a crash with another vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to identify cause of the failure. The mechanic found no failure with the vehicle. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.
The contact leased a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, that she smelled a burning and chemical odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be determined. The contact stated that the technician was informed that the odor was a burn-off odor; however, the contact was concerned for her safety. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 183,000.
The day after purchasing my new 2022 Ford Edge, I was driving from the grocery store when I noticed a clacking sound. I stopped the car and looked around and under the car. It appeared that a metal band that held up a tank was dragging on the ground. I drove half a mile to my home and called my car dealer. He instructed me to drive the car to the Ford service department, about 5 miles away. I am presently waiting to receive a report from the service department.I am concerned that this is an example of a quality control failure and that it was an unreasonable safety risk to drag a gas tank full of fuel on the road.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while in Reverse(R), the rearview camera mainly displayed an image of the license plate located in the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure started occurring some time after purchasing the vehicle brand new. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it remained for 4-5 weeks for repairs. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted, causing the vehicle to hit the rear passenger's side door of another parked and unoccupied vehicle. The contact stated that, prior to the crash, the rearview camera failed to make a beeping sound to alert that there was a vehicle in the near proximity of the vehicle. The contact's vehicle sustained rear bumper damage and unknown panel damage. The other vehicle sustained dents. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injury sustained. No police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.
Panoramic sunroof exploded while driving on the highway. No overpass or rock just exploded while driving.
The faulty back door lift and/or sensor resulted in the back door closing without activating the close button and it hit me in the head and shoulders several times while I put groceries in and/or removing them from the back area. I was unable to activate the foot sensor to open or close the back door when I purposely tried to open the back door using the foot sensor. After bringing the vehicle to the dealer for an oil change and informing them that this occurred 3 months after purchase, they informed me they did not have time to look at it and I had to make a different appointment. Also they stated they did not have any other concerns or complaints involving the back door closing without activating the close button. We live 4 hours away from the dealer and when I made the appointment to have it checked, that morning before leaving home, my husband went to help me pack afew items in the back and the door slammed so hard and hit him in the head causing a small laceration, headache and neck discomfort. At that point, the door did not stay open at all and slammed closed hard, with all the weight of the door. The dealer did not have the part and told me to be careful until fixed. I am afraid to use the back area now because it is hard for me to hold the door open to use the back. The door slams with such strong force that it could cause great bodily injury if you were caught there when the door slammed shut. The part was ordered the same day on 10/14/22 and I did not get an appointment until 11/2/22 to get it fixed. A great SAFETY concern especially if one had small children and this happened.

I'm getting warning lights on the dash that indicated that ABS, traction control, cruise control and collision mitigation are inoperable. The dealership service dept. had the vehicle for over 2 weeks trying to diagnose the problem in conjunction with Ford engineers. they finally determined the the issue was a bad ABS module. They then informed me that the needed parts were not available and it might take 2weeks, 2months or longer to get. This condition has existed since the day the car was delivered. As of now, the car has about 600 miles on it. We're reluctant to drive the car because we feel the vehicle is unsafe, particularly in winter road conditions. We are at a loss as to how to proceed and are hoping you cab help us resolve this problem. Thank you, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The contact sustained a laceration under her left eye. Additionally, the contact sustained headache, neck ache and emotional stress as the incident occurred while assisting her younger daughter to move to College. The contact sought medical assistance. The vehicle was returned to Hertz rental company. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
after car had about 350 miles on it the front suspension became very noise and rattled. as it continued I can feel very bouncy steering and less than desirable control on multiple bumps. I took it to dealer and they said it had a leaky strut and ordered the part. They recommended only driving around town. It is getting worse as I wait over a week for the part to arrive. I really think both struts should be replaced
Unintended Hands-Free Liftgate Activation: When standing next to or loading items into the rear cargo area the lift gate will begin to close on its own. On two occassions I have been hit on the head and also on my shoulder. No injuries were incurred. This is a random occurance. The issue has been reported to the Ford delership, McDonald Ford in Freeland MI, on several occasions. The most recent being April 13, 2023. The service advisor presented me with a Ford bulletin, SSM 51360, which states "This is a normal condition and repairs are not necessary." I feel that this is a safety issue, especially for seniors who may not be able to react as quickly as I did in order to avoid injury.
liftgate foot sensor automatically closes when loading goods into rear compartment . comes down without warning and hits your head or back
