SEATBELT WILL NOT UNCLICK ONCE BUCKLED NOW SEAT BELT WILL NOT CLICK OR BUCKLE AT ALL. ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.
AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK AND RADIATOR FAN RUNNING CONSTANTLY AND LOUDLY SOUNDING AS IF IT WILL BLOW UP. THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AS HAVE THE RADIATOR FAN RELAY SWITCH. THE ISSUES ARE RE-OCCURING AGAIN. FORD DEALERSHIPS CLAIM THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS PROBLEM OR OF A FIX, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE. THESES ISSUES APPEAR SOMEHOW TO BE RELATED BECAUSE WHEN THE RAD FAN IS ON HIGH, SOON AFTER THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DUMPS THE COOLANT. I JUST HAD A 5,000 MILE OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION AND THE COOLANT WAS SAID TO HAVE BEEN FILTHY, BUT IT HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED IN EARLY JULY 2017, WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DUMPED IT. THE AIR CONDITIONING IS NOT WORKING AND THE RAD FAN IS RUNNING ON HIGH ALL THE TIME.
I HAVE A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. THE CAR JERKS WHEN ACCELERATING. FEELS LIKE YOU'RE GETTING HIT FROM THE BACK. FORD AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP BEEN TRYING TO GET IT FIXED FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS NOW CLAIMING THAT THE FAULTY PARTS ARE REPLACED/FIXED. NOW MY EXTENDED WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED AND I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE IF THE VEHICLE JERKS AND HAVE TO LOOK AROUND.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT 55 MPH ON A HIGHWAY WHEN THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILED AND HAD NO POWER STEERING. THE CONSOLE THEN HAD A WARNING COME UP SAYING A POWER STEERING FAILURE ACCURED. THIS VEHICLE DID HAVE THE RECALL DONE FOR THE POWER STEERING AT WHICH TIME THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS

POWER STEERING ASSIST LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. ONCE I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO A STOP, I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SHAKING WHILE I HAD THE CAR IN PARK. I PUT THE CAR IN GEAR AND WENT TO TURN THE CORNER AND POWER STEERING WAS GONE.
WAS DRIVING ON SPRING GARDEN STREET...TURNING LEFT ON COLUMBUS BLVD...THERE WAS A STRANGE BEEP NOISE FROM DASH AREA ..THAN LOST POWER STEERING. THE WARNING 'POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE' POPPED UP ON SCREEN. WAS VERY HARD TO STEER...AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO PARK.

WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT 30 MPH ON CITY STREET, LOST POWER STEERING WHILE MAKING A TURN IN TRAFFIC. VEHICLE CAME CLOSE TO HITTING A PARKED CAR DUE TO SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED LOSS OF POWER STEERING VEHICLE POSTED A POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING ON DASHBOARD

THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURNED OFF, AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. AFTERWARDS, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND DROVE HOME. OCCURS AT MULTIPLE GAS STATIONS: REFUEL NOZZLE BECAME JAMMED MULTIPLE TIMES DUE TO A NEW LIP DESIGN SEVERAL HOSES HAD TO BE CUT DUE INABILITY TO REMOVE NOZZLE FROM VEHICLE FIRE DEPARTMENT RECENT REMOVAL ATTEMPT USING FOR FOR INITIAL TEST RESULTED IN SPARKS AT THE FUEL CAP, DAMAGE TO FUEL FILLER NOZZLE, AND DAMAGE TO FORD CAPLESS FUEL FILLER NECK DISCOVERED CAPLESS FUEL SYSTEM IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NEW OPW GAS NOZZLES (WILL CATCH AND DAMAGE OR DESTROY RETRACTABLE INTERNAL PLUG) CAR NOW UNABLE TO SEAL FUEL SYSTEM, VENTING HYDRO-CARBONS AS A RESULT. WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT SUDDENLY WITH NO WARNING WHEN I WAS TURNING LEFT ONTO A BUSY HIGHWAY. THERE WAS AN ERROR CODE OF ELECTRONIC STEERING ASSIST FAULT. IT SUDDENLY CAME BACK ON AND I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE BARELY AVOIDING AN ACCIDENT. I FOUND OUT THAT THIS PART HAD BEEN PART OF A RECALL BY FORD AND WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. THE DEALER REFUSED TO OPEN THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE 3 FIXES AND THEY ONLY DID THE FIRST/CHEAPSET ONE.
RECEIVED 'POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT' ERROR. TOOK TO DEALER AND NEEDED TORQUE SENSOR REPLACED . THERE APPEARS TO BE OTHER NIECES/RECALLS RELATED TO THIS. SHOULDN'T FORD PAY FOR THIS REPAIR AND NOT ME? I WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED.
POWER STEERING: WIFE STARTED CAR WITH BABY IN THE BACK, AND THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM WAS OUT. CLUSTER DISPLAYING "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". FUSE APPEARS TO BE INTACT. CONTACTED FORD ABOUT RECALL# 14S05, AND MULTIPLE REPS SAY THERE IS NO ACTIVE RECALL, EVEN THOUGH IT'S LISTED ON THE NHTSA SITE.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH, THE CAR SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING SHUTS OFF. I WAS NOT ABLE TO PULL SAFELY OVER AND NEARLY CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS AS THIS WAS DURING MY NORMAL MORNING RUSH HOUR COMMUTE. IT IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME. MECHANIC SAID HE TEST DROVE THE CAR AND WAS UNABLE TO EXPERIENCE THE SUDDEN SHUT DOWN. ADDITIONALLY, THIS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, SAME THING SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING THE CAR SHUTS DOWN.
I WAS STOPPED IN A LANE WAITING TO DO A MICHIGAN LEFT TURN, IN CITY TRAFFIC. THE ENGINE STUMBLED, A CHIME WENT OFF, AND I GOT AN ERROR MESSAGE "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". THE ENGINE STALLED. I RE-STARTED THE VEHICLE AND HAD NO POWER STEERING. THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD COMPLETE THE TURN AND I HAD TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE (TEMPERATURE OF 14F) AND WAVE VEHICLES BEHIND ME AROUND ME. THE DEALER SAID THAT FORD KNEW ABOUT MARGINAL QUALITY PARTS AND WAS SELECTIVE ABOUT REPLACING THEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN MARCH AND WE WERE TOLD BY FORD THAT ONLY ESCAPES MANUFACTURED AFTER SEPTEMBER WERE ELIGIBLE FOR A RECALL FOR THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM. WE WERE GIVEN A CASE FOR REVIEW - CAS13810835 - FROM FORD BUT WERE TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT HELP PAY FOR THE $557.49 BILL (IN ADDITION TO THE $135). WE WERE ALSO TOLD THAT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS AND TO SAVE OUR RECEIPTS JUST IN CASE FORD EXPANDS THE RECALL.

I HAVE GOTTEN A RECALL 16V-777, 16S41/NHTSA. I HAD TAKEN MY CAR IN FOR OIL AND THEY CHECKED THE RECALL, THEY TOLD ME MY TEST FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE PARTS. I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK. SO SOON AS I TURNED OFF MY CAR AFTER I LEFT THERE. I HAD A PROBLEM RESTARTING IT. I CALLED THEM AND THEY TOLD ME TO WAIT A FEW DAYS, THAT THERE MAYBE AIR IN THE LINE. IT HAD GOTTEN WORSE. WENT BACK IN FOR REPAIR. IT WAS GOOD FOR A FEW DAYS AND NOW I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH IT RESTARTING. I WENT TO A DIFFERENT FORD GARAGE. THEY TOLD ME THEY WON'T TOUCH IT BECAUSE A DIFFERENT GARAGE DID THE WORK. AT THIS POINT I HAVE NOT BEEN BACK TO THE GARAGE THAT DID THE WORK YET. I WAS NOT HAVING ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE THE REPAIR WAS DONE. SO THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS IT WHEN I AM TRYING TO START MY ESCAPE.
