FORD SAYS IT WILL COST ME 400 OR MORE TO FIX FORD ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY. CODE P2119. HELP ME PLEASE I READ ABOUT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY.
ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY MALFUNCTION. VVEHICLE DEVELOPED CONTAMINATION ON THE INTERNAL MOTOR CONTACTS OF THE THROTTLE BODY, RESULTING IN INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL CONNECTIVITY. MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) AND WRENCH LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE MAY ENTERED FAILURE MODE EFFECTS MANAGEMENT (FMEM) OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "LIMP HOME" MODE. VEHICLE LOST ALL ACCELERATION WHILE IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY AS WELL AS ON A CITY STREET. ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY WAS REPAIRED UNDER FORD CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM #13N03. DUE TO THIS FACT AND DESPITE THAT THE ETB ONCE AGAIN SUFFERED FROM THE SAME ISSUE, FORD REFUSED TO REPAIR THE ETB A SECOND TIME AND ALL COSTS FELL UPON CUSTOMER.
TESTED CODE P2119 AT AUTO ZONE. THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY SHOWS BAD. CAR BEGAN TO SURGE AND JERK AT TIMES WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD AT A STEADY SPEED. AT TIMES WOULD SEEM TO STALL AND THEN SURGE FORWARD AS IF THROTTLE HAD BEEN DEPRESSED. THE SPEED AT WHICH I WAS TRAVELING DID NOT SEEM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IT WOULD HAPPEN AT ANY SPEED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. HAVE QUIT DRIVING TILL I HAVE THE FUNDS TO GET REPAIRED. APPX. REPAIIR COST $200 WITH THE PART COST AT $140
ESCAPE RANDOMLY STALLS OUT AND IS UNRESPONSIVE. CAN BE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, A MILE FOR HOME OR ON 45MPH STREETS. UNABLE TO REPRODUCE BUT HAPPENS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. FORD WILL NOT FIX BECAUSE THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. NOT ACCEPTABLE TO HAVE A CAR RANDOMLY STALL OUT ON ANY STREET AND MANUFACTURER NOT WILLING OR CAN'T FIX. HAVE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR FORD ESCAPES BUT NO RESOLUTION AND NO HELP FROM FORD. I'VE CONTACTED DEALERSHIPS AND FORD SERVICE WITH SAME DISAPPOINTING RESPONSE. KEEP SPENDING MONEY HAVING DEALERSHIP LOOK AT IT IN HOPES THEY CAN REPRODUCE IT. NOT A GOOD USE OF ANYONE'S TIME OR MONEY TO DO THIS WHEN THIS SEEMINGLY IS A PROBLEM THAT FORD IS AWARE OF BASED ON MY RESEARCH.

CLUNKY FRONT SUSPENSION. EXTREME NOISE FROM THE FRONT END, AND SUSPENSION, WHILE DRIVING. WONDERING IF SOMETHING WILL COME LOOSE, OR DISENGAGE THE STEERING. HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING.
I GOT A ENGINE SERVICE LIGHT ON. THE CODE CAME UP AS P2119. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS DEFECTIVE AND REPLACED. AND IT NEEDED TO HAVE THE COMPUTER RE-DOWN LOADED. THIS IS THE SECOND THROTTLE BODY I HAVE HAD INSTALLED.I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICILE SINCE IT WAS NEW.
LOSS OF STEERING WHILE DRIVING. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED IN A STRAIGHT AHEAD POSITION WHILE TURNING ON A CITY STREET. A ALERT CAME ON THE DASH SAYING ELECTRONIC STEERING ASSIST SENSOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER TO THE STEERING AND MADE THE CAR HARD TO TURN. CHECKED RECALLS AND THERE IS A RECALL ON THE SENSORS BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST.

THIS RECALL DATE IS OCT 24, 2016, BUT FORD CORPORATION STATES THEY DO NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT PART. RECALL SAYS IT CAN CAUSE FIRE. FORD WILL NOT CORRECT ISSUE UNLESS GAS IS SMELLED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO WEST HILL FORD WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RECEIVER DRYER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

ENGINE STALLING. OVER THE LAST YEAR I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY FORD ESCAPE RANDOMLY STALLING. I HAVE HAD IT AT 2 DIFFERENT MECHANICS AND BOTH HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT THE CAUSE. I DID SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND OTHERS HAS SIMILAR ISSUES. THEY STATED THE CAUSE WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. I HAD THAT REPLACED. I AM HAVING LESS OF THESE EPISODES, BUT STALLING IS STILL OCCURRING OCCASIONALLY. THE STALLING ALWAYS OCCURS WHEN I AM SLOWING DOWN TO STOP AT EITHER A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT.
TORQUE SENSOR FOR STEERING CONTROL MALFUNCTIONING. STEERING WHEEL MOVING ON IT'S OWN WHEN STOPPED AND MOVING. WHEN GOING DOWN HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEED, CAN FEEL SUDDEN JERK OF WHEEL SIDE TO SIDE.
NO RESPONSE FROM ACCELERATOR PEDAL. TURN OFF CAR AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES THEN RESTARTED OK.
WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN A POWER STEERING SENSOR LIT UP. MIKE AT FORD IS TELLING US THE RECALL WAS DONE ON THIS VEHICLE IN AUGUST OF 2014, BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. THEREFORE, FORD IS NOT LIABLE, THOUGH IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM. WE HAVE HAD TWO OTHER MECHANICS LOOK AT IT. BOTH HAVE SAID, THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME THING.
CAR KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN ON ME BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 65000FROM WHAT I'M READING FORD SHOULD BE FIXING THIS PROBLEM.
MY CAR IS RUSTING UNDERNEATH THE WHEEL SUSPENSION. THE DEALER IS TRYING TO MAKE ME PAY NEARLY $800.00 TO CLEAR UP THE RUST. THE PAINT IS ALSO BEGINNING TO PEEL OFF THE WHOLE SIDE OF THE CAR.THE TOP MOLDING IS COMING OFF THE TOP OF THE CAR. MY TRUCK WAS DEFECTIVE AND WOULD NOT OPEN. I PAID $140.00 TO REPAIR. I PAID FOR A NOISE IN THE REAR OF THE CAR WHILE THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY OF $454.00. I HAD TO PAY FOR POWER TRAIN DEDUCTIBLE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A RECALL ITEM. THE DASH MALFUNCTIONED AND THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AND I HAD TO PAY DEALER $100.00. ALL CHARGES WERE INCURRED AT TAYLOR FORD. THE AIR CONDITION WENT OUT LAST YEAR. THE TOP MOLDING IS COMING OFF. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN SUMMER 2013 WITH A FULL FACTORY WARRANTY. THE TRUNK GOT STUCK AND WOULD NOT OPEN IN JANUARY 2017.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE RECALL HAD EXPIRED. THE RECALL DETAILS WERE NOT PROVIDED. THE NEXT DAY, AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE, THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
THE POWER STEERING FAILED WITH OUT NOTICE ON MY WIFE AND CAUSED HER TO LOSE CONTROL ENTERING OUR DRIVEWAY. SHE DROVE INTO THE MAILBOX AND FRONT DITCH. I PULLED THE SUV OUT AND WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER DUE TO THIS CONCERN AND RECALL 14V284000. THE STEERING UNIT HAD FAILED AS CLAIMED IN THE RECALL ISSUED BY FORD, HOWEVER THEY CLAIM SINCE IT WAS CHECKED A YEAR AND A HALF OK IT IS NO LONGER COVERED. THIS IS THE RECALLED PART THAT FAILED AND IT WAS NEVER REPLACED JUST CHECKED. THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME $800 FOR THE TORQUE SENSOR WHICH FAILED. MY VEHICLE IS COVERED UNDER RECALL #14V284000. I HAVE TRIED 4 TIMES WITH LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO SETUP THIS APPOINTMENT AND EACH TIME GOTTEN A RUN AROUND. DATES AND TIMES I ATTEMPTED TO TRY: FEB 15TH AT 4:07PM, FEB 11, FEB 8TH, 2:15PM, FEB 1ST, AT 1:45PM AND JAN 2ND AT 2:45PM. FORD IS CLEARLY TRYING TO AVOID FIXING MY TRUCK AND HAS GIVEN ME EXCUSING RANGING FROM WE WILL HAVE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CALL YOU BACK TO NO ONE IS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT RIGHT NOW. NEVER HAVE THEY CALLED ME BACK ONCE. I CONSIDER THIS CRIMINAL INTENT TO AVOID FIXING THIS ISSUE TILL MY VEHICLE IS OVER THE 150,000 LIMIT. I AM EXPECTING NHTSA TO PROMOTE THIS CASE AS SUCH OR I WILL DO SO WITH EVERY MEANS AT MY DISPOSAL.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND MY STEERING WHEEL FROZE, I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE IT. IT WAS THE SCARIEST THING. THERE WAS AN IMMEDIATE DING IN MY CAR AND IT SAID POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT, OR SIMILAR. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO WORK (THANK GOODNESS) AND CALLED THE FORD DEALERSHIP, I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND HAD IT TOWED TO THEM BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SO HARD TO TURN, I WAS AFRAID I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. I DO NOT KNOW IF THEY WILL HONOR RECALLS FROM READING NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH RESPONSES I HAVE READ, THEY ARE NO LONGER HONORING THEM. I AM A 2ND OWNER OF THE CAR AND DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. A FEW WEEKS AGO I BEGAN NOTICING THAT MY STEERING WHEEL WOULD VIBRATE (REALLY MORE OF A JERKING BACK AND FORTH MOTION) WHILE THE CAR WAS IDLING. SOON IT WAS DOING IT EVERY TIME THE CAR SLOWED OR STOPPED. NOW I CAN FEEL THE JERKING OF THE WHEEL EVEN WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK THE CAR IN TO A FIRESTONE FOR SERVICE WHO TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS PART OF A FORD RECALL (14-S05) AND THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP. THE FORD DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THAT THE RECALL IS CLOSED AND THAT I NEED TO PAY $1000 FOR A NEW STEERING COLUMN. I CALLED FORD WHO SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AS THE POWER STEERING CAN COMPLETELY GO OUT (WHICH THEY KNOW). MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD ISSUES GETTING FORD TO HONOR THE RECALL AND FIX THEIR STEERING COLUMN. *TR

EARLIER THAT DAY, THE CONTACT FILLED THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE RECALL WAS RELATED TO FUEL LEAKING FROM A DIFFERENT PART OF THE VEHICLE AND THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY TO REMEDY THE FUEL LEAK. THE RECALL INFORMATION WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000.

I WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT A RECALL AND THIS CAR FRAME WAS CRACKED AND WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT IT FROM ANYONE FRONT THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM OR THE COMPANY THAT FIXED IT.
