CAR CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. FORD DEALER SAID IT IS THE THROTTLE BODY. WILL TAKE 4 TO 5 WEEKS TO RECEIVE THE REPLACEMENT PART. *TR
AS WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WE LOST POWER, HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE THEN STARTED LURCHING FORWARD AND WE HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF TO MAKE IT STOP. WHEN WE RESTARTED THE CAR IT WOULD DRIVE FINE FOR A FEW MILES THEN LOSE POWER AGAIN AND AGAIN BEGIN TO LURCH FORWARD. THIS HAPPENED 4 SEPARATE TIMES BEFORE WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS MODEL FORD AND IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 2 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAPPENED THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER DETERMINED THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER STATED THE REPAIR WOULD TAKE 1.5 WEEKS BECAUSE THE PART NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR WAS ON BACK ORDER. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 39,000. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE THROTTLE BODY HAD FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,250.
I HAD NOT HAD MY VEHICLE FOR 3 MONTHS BEFORE EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, I WAS DRIVING AND MY SUV LOST POWER. EACH TIME, I HAD TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE, WAIT A FEW MINUTES, CUT THE CSUV OFF AND THEN BACK ON UNTIL THE CAR WOULD START AGAIN. THIS MADE MY TRAVEL VERY DANGEROUS ON THE HIGHWAY. TOOK MY SUV TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AT FIRST THEY COULD NOT FIND WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT BECAUSE THE ERROR HAD NOT REGISTERED. I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON TO DISCOVER IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. I HAD TO PAY OVER $300 TO GET IT REPLACED. IT TOOK AWHILE FOR FORD RAN OUT OF THE PART AND HAD TO ORDER IT FROM THEIR WAREHOUSE. LUCKILY, THE REPAIR SHOP WAS ABLE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT WITHIN 2 DAYS. AFTER HAVING THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED, IT TAKES A WHILE FOR THE SUV TO SHIFT INTO GEAR AND OFTEN FEELS LIKE IT IS STALLING OR DRAGGING. *TR
WIFE WAS DRIVING HOME AND HER VEHICLE STALLED. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC AND INTO A PARKING LOT, WHERE SHE HAD HER CAR TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALER. DEALER TOLD HER THE ISSUE WAS WITH THE THROTTLE BODY. *TR
MY CAR STALLED OUT AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. I HAD TO TURN OFF MY CAR AND RESTART IT. IT WAS ABLE TO RESTART BUT ABOUT 5 MINUTES LATER IT DID THE SAME THING. AT ONE POINT I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. WHEN I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THIS WAS HAPPENING TO MANY OTHER FORD ESCAPES AS WELL AS FORD FUSIONS. AT THIS POINT THEY TOLD ME THE PART WAS BACK ORDERED FOR 2-3 WEEKS. THEY TOLD ME MOST PEOPLE WERE JUST ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH THE RANDOM STALLING OUT UNTIL THE PARTS CAME IN. *TR
THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED AND WHEN I STARTED IT AND BACKED UP THE WRENCH LIGHT WAS ON AND IT HAD NOT POWER THE SECOND TIME I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED I STEPPED ON THE GAS AND HAD NO POWER AND THE WRENCH LIGHT WAS ON IT WAS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES I TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT AND IT DRIVES FINE. *TR
I BOUGHT OUR CAR BRAND NEW ON APRIL OF 2010. ON 06/08/13 (3PM) WE WERE IN TURNPIKE RUNNING 70 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR SLOWLY LOST SPEED EVENTUALLY WE STOPPED ON THE SIDE AND AT THE SAME TIME THE ENGINE LIGHTS SYMBOL CAME ON. WE TURN IT BACK ON AND DROVE APPROX 10 MILES AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. EVERYTIME THE ENGINE TURNED OFF WE CAN ALWAYS TURN IT BACK ON AND DRIVE FEW MILES. WE DECIDED, FOR US TO AT LEAST GET HOME (6PM) WE HAVE TO DRIVE ON CITY LIMIT 45 MPH, AND IT NEVER GAME US A PROBLEM. BECAUSE ON THOSE INCIDENTS ON THE SAME DAY WE DECIDED TO SEND OUR CAR THE NEXT DAY TO THE FORD SERVICE CENTER. AFTER 24 HRS 06/10/13 THEY CALLED THAT IT IS THE THROTTLE BODY THAT THEY NEED TO REPLACE. UNTIL NOW WE ARE STILL WAITING ON THE PARTS AND OF COURSE PAY AN ESTIMATE OF $582. *TR
I WAS CRUISING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN THE CAR BEGAN SLOWING DESPITE NO CHANGE IN GAS PEDAL PRESSURE. ADDITIONAL GAS DID NOT RESULT IN THE CAR MAINTAINING SPEED OR SPEEDING UP. I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS. ABOUT A MILE LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER. THE MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT THE PROBLEM IS A BAD THROTTLE BODY AND THAT A NUMBER OF FORDS HAVE THE PROBLEM BUT THERE IS NO RECALL. IT IS SUCH A PROBLEM THAT A REPLACEMENT PART IS ON BACK-ORDERED AND THE DEALER IS UNABLE TO TELL ME WHEN IT WILL BE IN SO THAT THE CAR CAN BE MADE SAFE TO OPERATE. THE POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE OF A FAILURE WHILE DRIVING, AND THE WIDESPREAD NATURE OF THE PROBLEM SUGGEST FORD SHOULD BE MORE PROACTIVELY ADDRESSING THIS AND RECALLING CARS LIKE MINE BEFORE INCIDENTS ARISE WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AS THE BATTERY AND MIL CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WHERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,000. *TR
THIS FIRST STARTED SEVERAL WEEKS ONE DAY AFTER FILLING UP MY CAR ALL OF SUDDEN IT WOULD NOT GO. I PULLED OVER BARELY MISSING BEING HIT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES AND IT WOULD START UP AND I COULD GO. THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. THE NEXT TIME I WAS LOW ON GAS. IT HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES. I KEPT THINKING I HAD BAD GAS. THEN LAST SATURDAY I WAS OUT SHOPPING AND IT HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. I WAS SO SCARED BY THE TIME I WENT HOME I WAS A NERVOUS WRECK. I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I WAS ALMOST HIT. EVEN THE MORNING I TOOK IT INTO THE CAR DEALER IT DIED FOUR TIMES ON THE WAY. MY CAR ACTED JUST LIKE THE SITUATIONS IN YOUR ARTICLE. NOW THE DEALERSHIP AT FORD IS MAKING ME RENT A CAR. I CAN'T DRIVE MINE. FORD IS SAYING THEY DON'T KNOW IF IT IS A WEEK OR A MONTH BEFORE THEY GET THESE PARTS IN. THEY CAN'T FIX MY CAR BECAUSE THERE IS SUCH A BIG BACK ORDER FOR THIS PART. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO GET THESE MOTELS RECALLED AND GET THEM FIXED. *TR
WHILE MAKING LEFT HAND TURN VEHICLE ABRUPTLY STALLED, YELLOW WARNING LIGHT SHOWED FAULT WITH POWERTRAIN. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALER ON 6/10/2013 STILL WAITING FOR THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY THREE DAYS. *TR
THE AUTO "JUMPED" THEN DECELERATED IMMEDIATELY. I HAD TO MOVE FROM MIDDLE LANE TO RIGHT THEN OFF THE ROAD WITH ONLY COASTING-NO FUEL POWER AT ALL. *TR
DRIVING ALONG HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH. SUDDENLY, COULD NO LONGER ACCELERATE, DESPITE ENGINE STILL RUNNING AT ROUGH IDLE. HAD TO DRIFT TO SIDE OF ROAD. HAD NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. TO CONTINUE, WE HAD TO SHUT DOWN ENGINE. WE RESTARTED THE ENGINE, AND PROCEEDED DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THE SYMPTOM REPEATED ITSELF SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING TO THE CAR DEALER. WE TOOK IT THERE BECAUSE WE FEARED FOR OUR SAFETY. OUR VEHICLE HAS BEEN ON A WAITING LIST FOR A REPLACEMENT PART FOR OVER A WEEK. THIS MALFUNCTION SHOULD BE TREATED AS AN URGENT SITUATION, AND A RECALL SHOULD BE MANDATORY. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY INJURED. *TR
THE ENGINE STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE EXPRESS WAY. WITH NO POWER I COASTED (LUCKILY) TO THE SHOULDER. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY WIFE IN THE SAME VEHICLE THE PREVIOUS MONDAY. IT WAS TOWED TO A MECHANICS GARAGE WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A THROTTLE BODY PROBLEM. HE CLEANED IT, TEST DROVE IT AND SENT HER ON HER WAY. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS STILL A PROBLEM. *TR
I WAS DRIVING FROM THE BANK TO HOME AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN I HAD NO POWER. I STEPPED ON THE GAS AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I HAD TO EASE OVER TO THE RIGHT LANE WITH NO POWER AND WHEN I GOT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD I SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND THEN I RESTARTED IT. MY ESCAPE THEN RAN FINE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND BROUGHT MY ESCAPE INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY SAID I NEED A NEW THROTTLE BOX AND THAT THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. MY CAR IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD. I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. THERE IS NO REASON FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN. SINCE THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER I HAVE TO DRIVE IT LIKE THIS UNTIL THE PART IS AVAILABLE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WILL BE AT LEAST 1 WEEK, PROBABLY LONGER. IF MY CAR DIES IN AN INTERSECTION OR WHILE CROSSING AN INTERSECTION, OR ON A FREEWAY, I COULD HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS VERY FRIGHTENING. I HAVE TO DRIVE IT, IT'S THE ONLY CAR I OWN. I AVOIDED THE FREEWAY TO AND FROM THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I KNOW THE SIDE ROADS TO GET THERE. I WON'T BE ABLE TO DO THAT ALL THE TIME. PLEASE RECALL THIS PART. CONSIDERING THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO GET A NEW ONE THAT TELLS ME I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR ALL. IF A CAR STALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY IT IS ENDANGERING MANY LIVES BESIDES MINE. *TR

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING CAR AND BARELY HAD ENOUGH RPMS TO GET OFF ROAD. HAD TO PULL BATTERY CABLE OFF TO GET CAR TO MOVE. THIS HAPPENED THREE TIMES TO GET THE CAR 20 MILES TO HOME THEN TRAILERED TO FORD DEALER. SAID IT WAS A BAD TB. THE CAR HAS ALSO STALLED AT 0MPH AND SOMETIMES SURGES. ONE TIME THIS WINTER THE CAR SURGED CAUSING IT TO HIT MY TRACTOR AND BUSTED BUMPER COVER AND FOG LAMP. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,200. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE IN MORNING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND THROTTLE CONTROL (WENT INTO LIMP MODE). I HAD TO MOVE OVER TO THE EMERGENCY WITHOUT POWER AND STOP THE VEHICLE. AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES, IT STARTED AND RAN OK. THEN ON 10 JUNE, THE SAME ISSUES OCCURRED AGAIN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS BUT IN LITTLE TRAFFIC. AGAIN ON 14 JUNE IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES WITHIN DRIVING 10 MILES AGAIN ON THE INTERSTATE AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND IN AFTERNOON RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THE THIRD TIME AN OBD II DTC WAS ISSUED. UPON ARRIVAL HOME I SCANNED THE CODE AND IT WAS P2112 THROTTLE BODY STUCK CLOSED. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET WHEN MY CAR STOPPED AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WRENCH ICON ALSO CAME ON AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE CAR. *TR
WHILE TRAVELING ON A STATE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER ALTHOUGH IT WAS STILL RUNNING. THE POWERTRAIN LIGHT CAME ON. WE LIMPED OFF THE HIGHWAY. AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF AND TURNING IT BACK ON, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RUN AGAIN. THE LIGHT GOES OFF AND STAYS OFF UNTIL THE NEXT INCIDENT. THE INCIDENTS HAPPEN VERY FREQUENTLY NOW, AND BECAUSE OF THIS, WE ARE UNABLE TO USE OUR VEHICLE AT ALL. THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH ME RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. WE HAD A CODE RUN AND HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS THE THROTTLE BODY, WHICH IS APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM. WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO OBTAIN THE PART TO REPAIR IT SO FAR. *TR
THE REAR HATCH DOES NOT OPEN DUE TO A FAULTY ACTUATOR. ALL ESCAPES HAVE THIS ISSUE SINCE 2001 BUT FORD HAS NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM AND DOES NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE. THIS IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IF THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE FROM YOUR VEHICLE IN AN ACCIDENT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO. ALSO THERE IS NO WAY TO OPEN THE REAR HATCH FROM THE INSIDE. *TR
I PULLED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND AROUND THE CORNER WHEN THE CAR WOULD NO LONGER ACCELERATE AND A WRENCH WARNING LIGHT APPEARED ON DASHBOARD. I PULLED TO SIDE AND CHECKED THE OWNER'S MANUAL TO FIND OUT THE WRENCH MEANT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE THROTTLE/POWERTRAIN. I TURNED THE CAR OFF THEN BACK ON. THE WRENCH DISAPPEARED AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT HOME. WHEN I GOT HOME, I CALLED OUR USUAL FORD SERVICE GUY AND WAS TOLD IT COULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING LODGED IN THE AIR FILTER BUT THAT IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN TO CALL THEM. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO WORK AND RUN SOME ERRANDS HOWEVER I FELT LIKE IT WAS JERKING. THEN LATER THAT AFTERNOON, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH ON A MAIN ROAD, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. ONCE AGAIN, I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE SOMEWHAT (IT WAS A LONG RIGHT HAND TURN LANE). I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND BACK ON, THE WRENCH WENT AWAY SO I TRIED TO MOVE FORWARD AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN JUST AFTER A FEW FEET. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ONE AGAIN AND THIS TIME THE WRENCH DISAPPEARED HOWEVER THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THAT'S WHEN I KNEW I COULD NOT TRUST DRIVING THIS CAR ANY LONGER. I CALLED FORD, CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND IT IS AT THE DEALER NOW. WE WERE INFORMED IT WAS A BAD THROTTLE BODY. I HAD DONE SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AFTER IT HAPPENED THAT MORNING AND FOUND OUT THERE WERE MANY, MANY INSTANCES JUST LIKE MINE SO WHEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN IN THE AFTERNOON, I PRETTY MUCH KNEW THAT WAS GOING TO BE THE OUTCOME. WE WERE TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THEY'VE BEEN HAVING AN ISSUE GETTING THE PART LATELY SO IT'LL BE ANOTHER 5 DAYS BEFORE THEY'LL RECEIVE IT AND IT'LL COST $488+TAX BECAUSE IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR IT STARTED TO SHAKE AND THE PEDAL OF THE GAS STOP WORKING COMPLETELY THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND ROLLED UNTIL IT STOPPED. ALL VEHICLES BEHIND US STARTED TO BEEP AS WE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED. AFTER STOPPING THE CAR WE CHECKED AROUND THE CAR HAD NO ISSUES IN THE ENGINE . WE STARTED AGAIN AND IT WORK FINE. SINCE THE 1ST ACCIDENT THE SAME THING HAS BEEN HAPPENING AT LEAST ONCE PER WEEK AND ONE TIME AT HIGH SPEED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT ROUGHLY 25-30 MPH VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING AND COASTED REGARDLESS OF PRESSURE TO GAS PEDAL. I WAS IN A BUSY INTERSECTION AND WAS UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON WHEN VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING. I COASTED TO A DRIVEWAY (NO SHOULDER) AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. AT THIS TIME, THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON WITH NO WRENCH LIGHT. CAR ACCELERATED FINE SO I CONTINUED HOME. IN THE SPAN OF 5 MILES, THIS SAME INCIDENT OCCURRED 4 TIMES. TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON WOULD TEMPORARILY FIX THE ISSUE, BUT THE ENGINE LIGHT NEVER LEFT. IN ROUTE, I STAYED ON ROADS WITH SHOULDER ALLOWANCES OR FREQUENT TURNOFFS, WHERE POSSIBLE. THE FOLLOWING DAY, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC WHO RAN DIAGNOSTIC AND DETERMINED IT WAS THE THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM. MY 2010 FORD ESCAPE NEARLY STALLED (SLOWED ALL THE WAY DOWN) AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT IT OFF. IT HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN TWO DAYS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND MY CAR IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND THERE IS NO RECALL. DURING THOSE 5 INSTANCES, I WAS DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WHEN MY CAR SLOWED TO A NEAR STOP. A COUPLE TIMES IT HAPPENED IN THE PARKING LOT (SLOW) AND THREE TIMES ON THE ROAD BETWEEN 45 AND 55 MILES AN HOUR. ALL I KNOW IS I'M TOO SCARED TO DRIVE IT AS IT IS UNSAFE AND I HAVE KIDS. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE MOTOR IN THE ESCAPE JUST DIED, I WAS FORCED TO MOVE FROM THE LEFT LANE OF THE HIGHWAY TO THE RIGHT WITH ALMOST NO POWER. NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY THAT PART IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER FORD IS MAKING 4000 OF THE THROTTLE BODIES IN ORDER TO KEEP WITH THE DEMAND. *TR
VEHICLE WILL CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING, WHEN I GET OFF THE ROAD TO A STOP IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS IDILING ROUGH BUT WILL NOT MOVE. THIS VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF AT ANY SPEED WITHOUT WARNING. VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON INTERSTATE. *TR
THROTTLE BODY FAILURE, MAKING MY 2010 FORD ESCAPE INOPERABLE. IT SHUTS DOWN COMPLETELY ON THE HIGHWAY. I LOST POWER ON THE INTERSTATE WHILE IN TRAFFIC. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES AND I'VE HAD TO RENT A CAR WHILE I WAIT FOR THE THROTTLE BODY PART WHICH IS ON BACK ORDER. *TR
I STARTED MY CAR FROM A PARKING SPOT AND BEGAN TO CLIMB A SMALL HILL. THE CAR SPUTTERED, SURGED FORWARD AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I PULLED OVER, SWITCHED OFF THE IGNITION AND WAITED A FEW MOMENTS. I RESTARTED THE CAR, BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD AGAIN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED, SPUTTERING, SURGING FORWARD, NO ACCELERATION. I PULLED OVER, TURNED THE CAR OFF, NOTICING THAT THE DASH HAD A WRENCH WARNING LIGHT LIT. I CALLED AAA FOR A TOW. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE CLOSEST FORD DEALERSHIP, JOEL CONFER FORD IN BELLEFONTE, PA. IT WAS AFTER CLOSING TIME SO I WASN'T ABLE TO TALK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE CAR NEEDED A PART CALLED A THROTTLE BODY, BUT THEY HAD NONE IN STOCK. I HAD SEVERAL PHONE CONVERSATIONS WITH THE SERVICE WRITER, OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS, AND WAS TOLD THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE NATIONWIDE AND WOULD HAVE TO BE "MANUFACTURED" AND WOULD BE QUALITY CONTROL TESTED, AND THIS MAY TAKE SOME TIME. IT HAS BEEN EIGHT DAYS THAT MY 2010 FORD ESCAPE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. TODAY, 6/12/12, I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A PART THAT IS IN HIGH DEMAND, AND ONCE THEY ARE "MANUFACTURED", WOULD BE DISTRIBUTED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS (I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT IS DETERMINED). I SEARCHED THE INTERNET TODAY AND COME TO FIND OUT THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE AND THE NHTSA HAS LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION. IN ORDER TO BRING THIS MATTER TO FORD'S ATTENTION SO THAT A RECALL COULD BE ISSUED, I WAS TO FILE THIS COMPLAINT. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW WITH 10 MILES ON IT AND IT WAS OVER $30K DOLLARS. I BOUGHT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND I SO THANKFUL I DID - THIS WILL BE CHARGED TO MY DEDUCTIBLE $100. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR FORD TO TURN THEIR BACKS ON CONSUMERS AND FAIL TO ADMIT THERE IS A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED, BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJURED. I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BOULEVARD IN NEW ORLEANS A MONTH AGO, AND SUDDENLY I LOST POWER. THE ENGINE WAS ON, BUT IT WOULD NOT TAKE ANY GAS, SO I GLIDED TO A STOP NEXT TO THE CURB. A LIGHT ON THE DASH SHAPED LIKE A WRENCH CAME ON. I LOOKED IN MY OWNER'S MANUAL AND DISCOVERED THE LIGHT MEANT THAT I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE POWER TRAIN OR THROTTLE AND THAT I SHOULD TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED THE KEY OFF. THE ENGINE STARTED AGAIN, AND I DROVE IT HOME. THE NEXT DAY THE SAME THING HAPPENED TWICE ON THE WAY TO VETERANS' FORD IN METAIRIE. I LEFT THE CAR WITH THEM FOR FOUR HOURS, BUT THEY COULD FIND NO PROBLEM. THIS STALLING CONTINUED TO HAPPEN TWO OR THREE TIMES A WEEK. LAST SATURDAY IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING UP AN OVERPASS ON ELYSIAN FIELDS, AND THERE WAS NO PLACE TO PULL OFF. I STOPPED THE CAR ON THE GRADE AS CARS STACKED UP BEHIND ME. ON MONDAY, I TOOK MY WIFE TO A DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT AND RAN SOME ERRANDS, AND MY ESCAPE STALLED FOUR TIMES IN TWENTY-FIVE MILES. YESTERDAY WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED, THE ENGINE-SHAPED LIGHT ON THE DASH CAME ON IN ADDITION TO THE "WRENCH" LIGHT. SO TODAY I TOOK IT IN TO VETERANS' FORD AGAIN AND LEFT IT. I CALLED THIS AFTERNOON AND WAS TOLD THAT THE "THROTTLE BODY" HAD TO BE REPLACED BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE IN STOCK, SO I AM GOING TO HAVE TO PICK THE CAR UP TOMORROW AND DRIVE IT--SPARINGLY AND CAUTIOUSLY--UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THE PART. A FEW MINUTES AGO I LOOKED UP "FORD ESCAPE THROTTLE BODY" TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH ONE WOULD COST AND DISCOVERED THAT AN NHTSA INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN UNDERWAY SINCE MARCH. MY ESCAPE IS MORE THAN THREE YEARS OLD, BUT I HAVE A 5 YEAR, 50,000 MILE WARRANTY ON THE POWER TRAIN, WHICH MAY INCLUDE THE THROTTLE BODY. THE CLERK AT VETERANS' FORD DID NOT KNOW IF THE WARRANTY APPLIED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE ANY FURTHER. THE VEHICLE WAS SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED AS IT OPERATED AS DESIGNED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ONE MONTH LATER WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 35 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE STALLED OUT 1 TIME TODAY, 1 TIME YESTERDAY, AND 1 TIME ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO. NO SIGN OF A PROBLEM UNTIL THE ENGINE STOPPED ACCELERATING SUDDENLY. CALLED THE FORD DEALER TODAY, AND THEY SAY IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR. HE SAID THE THROTTLE BODY IS BAD AND WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, THESE PARTS ARE ON ABOUT A 2 WEEK WAIT BECAUSE THEY ARE ON "NATIONAL BACKORDER". OBVIOUSLY A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN FORD CAN KEEP UP WITH. I HAD NOTICED OVER THE WEEKEND THAT ONCE IN A WHILE WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS PEDAL IT WOULD REV UP BUT NOT GO ANYWHERE WHILE I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD. ON MONDAY, I WAS ON MY WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TAKING A LEFT THROUGH A BUSY INTERSECTION WHEN IT WENT INTO A BIT OF A STALL. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I WAS ABLE TO TURN IT OFF, THEN TURN THE VEHICLE BACK ON AND WHEN THE DEALERSHIP (BELL FORD) CALLED THEY SAID IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND IT SEEMS THIS IS A RAMPANT PROBLEM WITH OTHER FORD ESCAPE OWNERS. I ONLY HAVE ABOUT 62,000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE AND IT MAKES ME VERY ANGRY THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL ISSUE CONSIDERING HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE. THE CAR STALLED IN AN INTERSECTION. NO LIGHT OR WARNING, JUST INSTANTLY STOPPED. CALLED THE DEALER, HE SAID NO LIGHT, NO CODE, NO IDEA. AFTER MULTIPLE MORE TIMES, IT FINALLY DID IT AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. IT INDICATED A BAD THROTTLE BODY. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. HE CALLED A DAY LATER AND SAID PART WOULD NOT BE IN FOR OVER A MONTH. ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER EMISSIONS AND DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY, APPARENTLY THE THROTTLE BODY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EITHER. I FEEL FORD SHOULD RECALL, PAY FOR REPAIR AND COMPENSATE IF PART IS UNAVAILABLE FOR OVER A MONTH. THERE IS NOT MUCH INCENTIVE TO PURCHASE NEW AS THIS IS THE NEWEST VEHICLE I OWN. CURRENTLY RELYING ON 15 YEAR OLD TRUCK TO GET TO WORK. *TR
THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED AROUND JUNE 3, 2013, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER THE EXACT DATE. AFTER BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, AS I ACCELERATED THROUGH 2ND GEAR, IT DROPPED OUT OF GEAR INTO IDLE AND I HAD NO ENGINE ACCELERATION RESPONSE FROM THE GAS PEDAL, NO MATTER WHICH GEAR I PUT IT IN. THE WRENCH LIGHT ALSO CAME ON. AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTING, THE WRENCH LIGHT WENT OUT AND THE CAR WORKED NORMALLY. THIS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 5-7 TIMES BEGINNING AROUND JUNE 3, 2013 UNTIL I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON JUNE 18, 2013. I PAID FORD $120 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG, BUT DID RESET THE SHIFT POINTS. IT DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN UNTIL JULY 12, 2013. WHILE DRIVING TO WORK AT APPROXIMATELY 60MPH, THE ENGINE DROPPED OUT OF GEAR AND THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD NO ENGINE RESPONSE WITH THE GAS PEDAL AND HAD TO CAREFULLY COAST OVER TO THE SERVICE/EMERGENCY LANE. WHILE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I CALLED FORD AND THEY TOLD ME AFTER I BROUGHT MY ESCAPE IN, MULTIPLE ESCAPES AND FUSIONS HAD COME IN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WHICH WAS TROUBLESHOOT DOWN TO THE THROTTLE BODY. THEY ORDERED THE THROTTLE BODY AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN IT CAME IN. I TURNED OFF THE IGNITION, RESTARTED, AND CONTINUED DRIVING. APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES AFTER GETTING BACK ON THE ROAD IT HAPPENED AGAIN, ONLY THIS TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH THE WRENCH LIGHT. THIS TIME AFTER RESTARTING THE ENGINE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. I DROVE TO FORD AND LEFT IT RUNNING SO THEY COULD ACQUIRE ANY CODES THAT WERE ACTIVE. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS ORDERED ON JULY 12, 2013 AND FORD HAS NO ESTIMATE OF A SHIPMENT DATE. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY WITH FORD AWAITING THE PART WHILE THEY PAY FOR MY RENTAL. THERE ARE ALSO TWO VEHICLES AHEAD OF MINE AT THE DEALERSHIP WAITING FOR THE SAME PART. *TR
TRAVELING ON VACATION ON AN OHIO HIGHWAY WHEN ENGINE STALLED AND WENT INTO LIMP HOME MODE AND YELLOW WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND HAD TO SHUT THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY OFF. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR STARTED AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM DID NOT REOCCUR UNTIL AUGUST 20. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT APPROX. 55-65 MPH, THE VEHICLE WENT FROM CRUISING SPEED DOWN TO APPROX. 30 MPH WITHOUT WARNING AND ALMOST GETTING REAR ENDED. THE DASHBOARD CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND WRENCH SYMBOL APPEARED ILLUMINATED . THE VEHICLE WAS APPARENTLY IN SAFE MODE AND ONLY ABLE TO GO A SPEED OF 30 MPH. AFTER CRUISING ONTO THE SHOULDER OF FREEWAY, THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED AND CONTINUED WITH SAME PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL MILES. EVENTUALLY THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN REGULAR SPEED WITH WARNING LIGHT STILL ILLUMINATED. AFTER DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FORD VEHICLES AND THE PART NEEDED THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY IS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER FROM FORD AND IS NOT LISTED AS A RECALL OR COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, THE VEHICLE LOST PROPULSION AND REQUIRED THE DRIVER TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE VEHICLE TWICE IN A DISTANCE OF FIVE (5) MILES. AFTER SPEAKING WITH A SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT OUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP, HE INDICATED THAT THE ISSUE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE THROTTLE BODY. APPARENTLY, THIS IS AN CONTINUAL ISSUE ON THIS MODEL AND I WAS ALSO INFORMED THIS PART (THROTTLE BODY) IS CURRENTLY ON A "NATIONAL" BACK ORDER. I WOULD THINK THAT IF THIS SPECIFIC PART IS ON A 'NATIONAL" BACKORDER, FORD SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUS THERE IS A PROBLEM. *TR
MY VEHICLE IS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE 6 CYC WITH 4 WD. THIS WAS A NEW VEHICLE PURCHASED IN EARLY 2010 AS IT HAD 4.7 MILES ON IT WHEN PURCHASED AND I PUT MOST OF THOSE MILES ON IT DURING THE TEST DRIVE. WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED RECENTLY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ALL ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. IT WAS AS IF THERE WAS NO GAS PEDAL IN THE VEHICLE AT ALL. NO SHUDDERING, OR CHUGGING AFTER THIS OCCURRED AND ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING AT ALL BEFORE IT OCCURRED. IT WAS EXTREMELY LUCKY THAT NO ONE WAS INJURED AS I ATTEMPTED TO MAKE MY WAY ACROSS 4 LANES OF TRAFFIC TO THE SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE NEVER SHUT OFF WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I THEN TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF, WAITED, AND THEN RESTARTED AND IT SEEMED TO RUN FINE. I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED TO ASSESS THE SITUATION. I WAS TOLD THE BATTERY WAS BAD WHICH THEY REPLACED. I QUESTIONED AS TO HOW A BATTERY COULD CAUSE THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM AS I UNDERSTAND SOME OF THE VEHICLE MECHANICS AND MY RESEARCH SHOWED THAT IT WAS MORE THAN LIKELY A THROTTLE BODY ISSUE AND I WAS ASSURED THAT BATTERY WAS MOST CERTAINLY THE ISSUE DUE TO THE COMPLEX NATURE OF VEHICLES TODAY AND THEIR ON BOARD COMPUTERS. WHEN THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED MY WIFE PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND HAD JUST ENTERED THE INTERSTATE WHEN AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM OCCURRED WHERE AN ACCIDENT WAS ALMOST CAUSED BY HER EFFORTS TO EXIT THE ROAD. AGAIN NO WARNING. WHEN IT WAS RESTARTED IT WAS DRIVEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. TODAY, IT WAS CONFIRMED BY THE FORD DEALERSHIP THAT IN FACT IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY ISSUE THAT MY RESEARCH HAD SHOW IT TO BE, AND MORE SO, THE PART, WHICH IS SOMEHOW NOT A SAFETY RECALLED ITEM BY THE NHTSA, IS ON BACK-ORDER BY FORD BECAUSE OF THE SHEAR NUMBER OF THESE PARTS GOING BAD AND NEEDING TO BE REPLACED IN SO MANY VEHICLES. I NOW OWN A VEHICLE THAT CANNOT BE OPERATED SAFELY WITHOUT A SAFETY RECALL. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40MPH AND MY ESCAPE ALL OF SUDDEN LOST POWER. THE VEHICLE STAYED RUNNING BUT IT WOULD NOT DRIVE FORWARD. THE TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT, SO I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER WITH MY FLASHERS ON AND STOP. HAD THE TRAFFIC BEEN IN RUSH HOUR THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A MAJOR ACCIDENT. I TRIED TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE AND DRIVE AND IT WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING, BUT THE ENGINE STAYED RUNNING AND THE "WRENCH WARNING LIGHT" APPEARED ON THE DASH. I THEN TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND STARTED IN UP AGAIN. EVERYTHING THEN RAN FINE. I TOOK THE ESCAPE TO THE FORD DEALER WHERE THEY FOUND OUT THAT THE POWER FAILURE DID OCCUR IN THE THROTTLE BODY AIR INTAKE AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAD ANOTHER ESCAPE THAT WAS NEEDING TO BE WORKED ON WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER AND IT WOULD BE A FEW WEEKS BEFORE MINE WOULD BE FIXED. *TR
AS I WAS DRIVING MY 2010 FORD ESCAPE ON THE HIGHWAY, IT STARTED TO BUCKLE AND IT EVENTUALLY TURNED OFF BY ITSELF. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS REMAINING ON WAS MY RADIO. I HAD NO STEERING, AND THE GAS PEDAL DID NOT EVEN WORK. ON A BUSY HIGHWAY, I HAD TO SOME HOW PULL OVER, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, AND, HAD TO RESTART IT. I DID NOTICE A WRENCH SYMBOL ON MY DASHBOARD THAT LIGHTED UP. DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANT, SO, I WENT AHEAD AND GOT MY MANUAL OUT. THE SYMBOL HAS STATED THAT IT WAS "THE THROTTLE/POWERTRAIN" AND I NEEDED TO SEE A DEALER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THIS INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE, I JUST DID NOT KEEP TRACK OF IT. THIS TIME IT WAS MORE WORSE THAN THE OTHERS. ON JUNE 1ST 2013 IT ACTUALLY DID IT TWICE IN ONE DAY. THANKFULLY THE SECOND TIME AROUND I WAS IN THE CLEAR AND PULLED OVER INTO AN OFFICE COMPLEX. HAD TO DO THE SAME THING OVER AGAIN. PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS DEFECT. IT IS REALLY DANGEROUS, SCARY, AND ITS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. LUCKILY FOR ME, THAT THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. AS OF JUNE 3RD 2013 THE DEALER REPLACED MY THROTTLE AUTO BODY. I AM HOPING THAT THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ANYBODY ELSE. IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO ANOTHER PERSON, IF, THEY ARE NOT CAREFUL, AND, DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THANK GOD, I HAD MY HUSBAND WITH ME WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE OTHER TIMES, I WAS ACTUALLY BY MYSELF AND SCARED OUT OF MY MIND . I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND ON A BUSY BRIDGE WHEN MY TRUCK COMPLETELY STALLED ON ME. I COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEBODY OR MYSELF. MY TOTAL BILL FOR THIS PART TO BE REPLACED WAS $455.00. I AM HOPING YOU CAN CHECK INTO THIS PROBLEM FOR OTHER DRIVERS AS WELL. ONE DAY THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO SOMEBODY, AND, IT WILL CAUSE A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 24, MY VEHICLE HAD SPONTANEOUSLY LOST POWER AS I WAS PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDAL. AS I SAFETY STEERED MY VEHICLE TO A PLACE ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, THE SERVICE LIGHT THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ONCE STOP, I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF; WAITED A FEW MINUTES THEY STARTED IT BACK UP. THE ENGINE WAS ON, THE DASH INDICATOR LIGHTS WERE STILL ONE, BUT NO POWER WAS TRANSFERRING FROM THE ENGINE TO THE TRANSMISSION AS I PRESSED DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL. THE RPM GAUGE ALSO SHOWED LITTLE TO NO CHANGE WHILE I WAS APPLYING MORE GAS. AFTER I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY WERE QUICK TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM BEING THE THROTTLE BODY. THE PART WAS COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY ONLY AFTER I PAID THE $100.00 DEDUCTIBLE. MY VEHICLE WAS WELL MAINTAINED; HAVING ALL SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE DONE BY FORD DEALERSHIP/SERVICE CENTERS WITHIN THE REQUIRED INTERVALS, AND HAS ONLY 44,800 MILES ON IT. *TR
