A METAL ROD ON THE FRONT OF MY FORD EXPEDITION'S DRIVER'S SEAT POKED THROUGH THE EXTERIOR LEATHER/FABRIC AND CAUSED ME TO GASH MY LEG AS I SAT DOWN ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT. *NLM
I OWN A 2000 FORD EXPEDITION. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD 2 DAYS AGO WHEN THE SPARE TIRE WINCH ASSEMBLY FAILED AND THE SPARE TIRE FELL OFF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, BOUNCED UP AND HIT THE VEHICLE AND THEN ROLLED DOWN THE STREET. FORTUNATELY, NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME AND IT DID NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. HAS THERE BEEN ANY RECALLS ON THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM? *NLM
VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE IN THE ENGINE, INSPECTOR STATED IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. DEALER NOTTIFIED.*AK
WHILE DRIVING THE CONSUMER REALIZED THAT HER FRONT TIRES WERE WOBBLING. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND LEARNED THAT THE TIRES WERE ON RECALL. THE CONSUMER SAID SHE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE THE TIRES WHICH EXPIRED, ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER, IN MARCH 2003. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD BY THE TIRE DEALER THAT ONE OF THE TIRES WAS SEPARATING IN THE BELT AREA, AND THE OTHER ONE HAD A CUT IN THE INSIDE ABOUT 2-3 INCHES LOCATED ABOUT 1.5 INCH FROM THE RIM. THE CONSUMER WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT SHE CAN DO TO GET HELP REPLACING THESE DANGEROUS TIRES (GENERAL TIRES 275 60/R 17). *NLM
THE CONSUMER REPLACED THE ORIGINAL CONTINENTAL GENERAL GRABBER AW TIRES PRIOR TO THE RECALL, HOWEVER IN 09/02 HE RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE TIRES. CONSUMER REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT, HOWEVER CONTINENTAL DENIED THE CLAIM, THEY STATED THE DEADLINE HAD PASSED. *JB
WATER LEAKED INTO THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD SEAM, AND SHORTED OUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. WIPERS WERE INOPERATIVE. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE FUSE BOX AND THE WINDSHIELD HAD TO BE REPLACED.
WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TREAD SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. *NLM
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH THE CONTINENTAL TIRES. THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO ON THE CONTINENTAL GRABBER SIZE:9275//60R17 DOT: ADT044T109. THEY MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO REIMBURSE THE MONEY. *NLM
CONSUMER WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH CONTINENTAL TIRE MANUFACTURER. THEY WON'T PAY OR REPLACE CONTINENTAL GRABBER TIRES SIZE # P275/60R17. DOT ADTO44T489. THE CONSUMER HAS REPLACED THE TIRES TWICE. *NLM
REAR WINDOW WIPER/WASHER FAILS TO WORK. *NLM
NOTICED PEELING, FLAKING PAINT ON HOOD. REPORTED TO DEALER (REGENCY FORD, METAIRIE, LA) ON APRIL 23, 2003. EVENTHOUGH IT APPEAR TO BE A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT, THEY WOULD NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY.
ELECTRICAL MOTOR UNDER DRIVER SEAT WAS HOT AND STARTED A FIRE. I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE AT HOME BEFORE IT CAUGHT FIRE. STARTED AS SMOKE FROM UNDER SEAT AND INVESTIGATED TO FIND THE MOTOR VERY HOT. *JB
SIDEWALL SEPARATION ON 4 TIRES, 2 TIRES HAD 2 SEPARATIONS, ALL ON THE SIDE OF THE TIRE THAT WAS TO THE INSIDE OR CENTER OF THE VEHICLE (OPPOSITE SIDEWALL FROM THE WHITE LETTERING). *JB
ON 5-03-03 IGNITION COIL FOR #7 CYLINDER FAILED. I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS UNUSUAL TO OCCUR ON A VEHICLE WITH 56,000 MILES. ON 10-06-03 IGNITION COIL FOR #6 CYLINDER FAILED. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS HIGHLY UNUSUAL THAT THIS OCCURS ON A VEHICLE WITH 63,000 MILES. ON 10-14-03, I CONTACTED FORD REQUESTING AN INSPECTION OF THIS UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER FAILURE OF THE IGNITION COILS AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME BECAUSE I REPAIRED THE CONDITION. *LA
PAINT BEGAN TO BUBBLE AND PEEL FROM THE ROOF. VEHICLE WAS LEASED (3YEARS) AND PURCHASED AT END OF LEASE. WHEN I BROUGHT UP THE PAINT DEFECT WITH DEALER, THEY INDICATED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR PAINT JOB. NOW BEGINNING TO FLAKE ON THE HOOD. *AK
I BOUGHT A 2000 FORD EXPEDITION ,THE CAR IS LESS THAN THREE YEARS OLD AND THE ENGINE "SEIZED". MY VEHICLE IS OVER 36000 MILES SO IS NO LONGER COVERED BY WARRANTY, HOWEVER, THE CAR WAS REGULARLY MAINTAINED AND THE ENGINE ALWAYS HAD OIL. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY WITH NO WARNING. I BELIEVE THIS VEHICLE IS DEFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY WERE UNWILLING TO HELP. I AM STUCK WITH A $6000 BILL TO REPLACE THE ENGINE.*JB

WHILE DRIVING THE CABLE HOLDING SPARE UNDER CAR TORE ALLOWING TIRE TO HIT MY CAR AND ALMOST CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.*JB

THE CONSUMER WAS DENIED REIMBURSEMENT FOR FAULTY TIRES BECAUSE THE PURCHASE DATE OF THE TIRES DID NOT FALL WITH THE PURCHASED DATE ALLOWED (CONTINENTAL TIRES). *JB
WHILE DRIVING FIRE STARTED IN THE STEERING COLUMN. THE FIRE CAUSED THE AIR BAG TO DEPLOY. CONSUMER WAS BURNED VERY BADLY, AND HAD TO GO THROUGH SURGERY. *AK

WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH THE VEHICLE'S GAUGES BEGAN FLASHING ERRATICALLY AND THE ENGINE STALLED IMMEDIATELY. DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT ENGINE HAD FAILED AND CONSUMER HAD TO REPLACE.

CONSUMER STATES WHILE DRIVING AT 55MPH THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLEWOUT CONSUMER HAD TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. DEALER WAS OUT OF STOCK FOR THE NEXT SIX MONTHS, AFTER THE INCIDENT DEALER DOESN'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. TS
NAR 1/29/2003. THE CONSUMER REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES PRIOR TO THE RECALL DUE TO POOR TREAD WEAR. THE CONSUMER SUBMITTED ALL THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK AND WAS TOLD HE WOULD BE REIMBURSED, HOWEVER THERE HAS BEEN NO REFUND. 8JB

IN ADDITION, THE INTERIOR AND DASHBOARD LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE AT ANY TIME WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. WHEN VEHICLE IS PUT INTO REVERSE GEAR IT WILL SHIFT INTO 4X4 LOW GEAR, WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.*AK
WHILE DRIVING IN HIGHER SPEEDS VEHICLE WILL DROP TO LOWER GEAR AND RPMS DRASTICALLY INCREASE. VEHICLE CHECKED BY DEALER WHO ADVISED CONSUMER THAT TRANSMISSION SPEED SENSOR RANGE IS FAILING.*AK
THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE GRABBER TIRES, WHICH WERE REPLACED WITH CONTINENTAL TIRES. THE CONTINENTAL TIRES FAILED AFTER FOUR WEEKS. BOTH SUFFERED BLOW OUTS. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT. MR SCC *JB
