The contact owns a 2007 Ford Expedition Max. The contact was at a state inspection station and the vehicle was failed due to rust holes on the passenger’s side front subframe behind the front suspension, directly under a reinforcement plate. The contact stated that the entire reinforcement plate and the frame rail behind the plate had rusted through rendering the vehicle unsafe. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and the rusted frame section was replaced. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 238,000.
MY INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE SPRINGS OUT AND HAS TO BE FORCE BACK IN PLACE. I'M TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL AND IT WAS FIXED. I'M NOT ARGUING THAT SOME TIME HAS PASSED BUT IF THAT'S THE CASE WHY IS THIS HAPPENING EXACTLY AS THE RECALL STATE.

THE LIFTGATE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER EXPLODED INTO SMALL PIECES EVEN THOUGH THE LIFTGATE WAS NOT ENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2007 FORD EXPEDITION EDDIE BAWER, THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. LAST YEAR THE FORD DEALERSHIP CHANGED THE HOOD SINCE IT WAS RUSTING. NOW THE TAIL GATE IS RUSTING AND THE PAINT BUBBLING, BUT FORD HAS REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TAILGATE. I LIVE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA AND THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN UP NORTH OR NEAR THE COAST. THE CONTACT HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE TWO ARMS ON THE LIFT GATE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT HAS NOT HAD THE TWO ARMS REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE LIFT GATE AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT A SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WOULD NOTIFY HIM. WE PURCHASED A USED 2007 FORD EXPEDITION EL WITH 40,000 MILES ON IT FROM A CERTIFIED FORD DEALERSHIP. AFTER A FEW MONTHS WE NOTICED THAT THE PAINT ON THE HOOD AND THE LIFTGATE WAS BUBBLING. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE PAINT WAS OXIDIZING, NOT RUSTING. THE DEALERSHIP TRIED TO FILE A CLAIM UNDER WARRANTY BUT IT WAS DENIED. WE HAVE TRIED A SECOND TIME AND WAITING TO HEAR BACK. A VEHICLE WITH A $50,000 MSRP THAT HAS THE PAINT BUBBLING OFF AFTER 2 AND A HALF YEARS IS TERRIBLE. I WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING ANOTHER FORD PRODUCT. *TR
ELECTRONIC REAR HATCH MAKE AN AWFUL NOISE WHEN OPENING AND CLOSING. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR REPAIR. THEY CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THE NOISE IS NOT CONSISTENT, WILL COME AND GO. THEY DID INDICATE THAT THE MOTOR IS LOUD. THE NOISE STILL CONTINUES TO EXIST. *TR
