AFTER I PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK AND TURN OFF THE VEHICLE, THE ALERT "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK" COMES ON. MY GEAR SHIFT IS IN THE PARK POSITION. I PUSH IN THE BUTTON MULTIPLE TIMES (WITHOUT MOVING THE SHIFTER) WHERE THE "P" ON THE DASH FLASHES TO SHOW I'M IN PARK. AFTER DOING THIS, THE "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK" ALERT USUALLY GOES AWAY. THIS GOES IN SPURTS WHEN IT HAPPENS - IT WILL BE EVERY TIME I TURN OFF THE CAR FOR A COUPLE DAYS, THEN IT WON'T HAPPEN FOR A WEEK OR SO. THIS STARTED ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO.
Three times in 8 years I have lost windshield trim panels when traveling at elevated speed (approximately 70 MPH). I believe it would have occurred more often but I grew weary in 2018 of paying the $135 to replace the trim part. Each time it occurred the trim piece left the car with a resounding & startling "crack" sound and happened without warning. All three occurrences involved the driver's side trim part on the A-pillar. Twice it occurred after a large truck passed me going the other way on a two lane road. Initially I went to the local Ford dealer but no one there seemed to care... they directed me to the parts counter... happy to take my money for this grossly overpriced part. Currently my car does not have the trim part in place
STRONG EXHAUST ODOR UNDER HEAVY ACCELERATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EXPLORER. WHEN THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING, AN EXHAUST ODOR WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUGGESTED THAT THE VEHICLE MAY BE INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER PE16008. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN EXHAUST LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000.
AN EXHAUST SMELL ENTERS THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. I FIRST STARTED TO NOTICE IT WHEN THE CAR WAS IDLING AND I THOUGHT IT WAS COMING FROM THE CAR AHEAD OF ME. THIS CONTINUED ON AND OFF FOR MONTHS UNTIL MORE RECENTLY WHEN THE SMELL WAS PRESENT EVEN AS I DROVE THE CAR. I HAVE HAD HEADACHES, DIZZINESS AND STOMACH UPSETS FOR MONTHS REALIZING THAT MY VEHICLE WAS PERHAPS NO LONGER SAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE. I BROUGHT IT IN TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY IMMEDIATELY ACKNOWLEDGED THE SMELL AND GAVE ME A LOANER. THEY HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD AND ARE CURRENTLY WAITING FOR THE REPAIR PARTS BUT THEY ARE ON BACKORDER. I WAS TOLD THAT POLICE DEPARTMENTS HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME THING. I JUST RECEIVED A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT NOTICE SO I IMAGINE THIS WILL EVENTUALLY BE A RECALL. IN THE MEANTIME I CANNOT DRIVE MY OWN VEHICLE WITHOUT RISKING MY HEALTH. THE CAUSE TO ME IS UNKNOWN, I HAVE READ THAT IT IS A DEFECT IN THE ENGINEERING OF THE EXHAUST SYSTEM.
WHILE THE ENGINE IS ON , I SMELL AN EGG TYPE OF SMELL. VISITED A FORD DEALER AND THEY SAID CHANGE THE INSIDE CABIN AIR FILTER. WORKED FOR A WHILE BUT SMELL RETURNED. CAN SMELL AFTER THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF.

STRONG AND FAIRLY CONSTANT (DAILY) EXHAUST ODOR ENTERING INSIDE OF CAR, MAKING ME AND MY KIDS NAUSEOUS/SICK. I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM GIRARD FORD IN NORWICH, CT LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO AND COMPLAINED TO THEM LESS THEN 5 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE. I BROUGHT INTO THEIR SERVICE GARAGE AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T SMELL FUEL. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THEY TEST DROVE FOR A TOTAL OF AN HOUR AND A HALF, BUT THAT DOESN'T COINCIDE WITH THE ODOMETER READING FROM WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. ODOMETER SHOWS THAT THEY ONLY DROVE FOR MAYBE 30 MINUTES. THE FUEL SMELL DISRUPTS DRIVING, DAUGHTER FELT LIKE SHE COULD VOMIT. THIS OCCURS EVERY DAY. IT JUST COMES ON AT TIMES WHEN ACCELERATING UPHILL OR ON REGULAR ROAD, ONCE THE SMELL IS THERE IT LINGERS IN THE CAR FOR REMAINDER OF DRIVE. *TR
EXHAUST FUMES ARE ENTERING THE CABIN OF MY 2014 FORD EXPLORER THRU THE DASH VENTS EVERY TIME I STOP MAKING ME SICK TO MY STOMACH. THESE EXHAUST FUMES SMELL LIKE SULFUR OR ROTTEN EGGS BUT I FEAR THAT ARE POISONOUS GASES LIKE CARBON MONOXIDE AS WELL. MY DEALER PERFORMED A "FIX" LAST WEEK INVOLVING A TSB 14-0130 BUT IT HAS NOT HELPED. I FEAR THAT I AM STARTING TO GET THE RUN AROUND. I AM AFFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR. PLEASE HELP ME!
NOTIFIED JUNE 2016 OF REAR SUSPENSION LINK THAT MAY FRACTURE WHICH MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL. AS OF TODAY, 10/12/16 I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM FORD AND I AM CONCERNED ABOUT CONTINUED USE OF THE VEHICLE. HOW LONG SHOULD THIS TYPE OF REPAIR TYPICALLY TAKE?

THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD TRIM PILLAR FLEW OFF WHILE ON EXPRESSWAY. I COULD DEALERSHIP, ALTHOUGH THEY ARE AWARE OF REPLACING THE STEEL FRAME AND TRIM IT ISNT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY AND NOT ENOUGH COMPLAINT FOR A RECALL. THIS PART FLEW OFF, I COULD OF HIT A MOTORCYCLIST OR ANOTHER CAR WINDSHIELD OR COULD OF CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. IT SCARED ME JUST AS IT HIT MY WINDSHIELD AND FLEW OFF, NOT TO MENTION RUBBER MOLDING WAS FLAPPING AROUND. I DRIVE 25 MI BACK AND FORTH 5 DAYS A WEEK TO MY EMPLOYMENT, I FIND IT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS ISNT CONSIDERED A DEFECT, WHEN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS ADMITING THAT BOTH PANELS NEED TO BE REPLACED WITH IMPROVED FRAME AND TRIM PLEASE HELP ME, COST IS OVER $285 AND FORD IS NOT OFFERING ANY SORT OF HELP. THE CS REP WERE NOT PROFESSIONAL EITHER, REFUSED TO LET ME SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND WHEN ONE CAME ON SHE WAS ALSO VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I LIKE TO WRITE DOWN NAMES AND ID # AND SHE REFUSED TO PROVIDE LAST NAME AND JUST CHUCKLED BEFORE SAYING DIDNT MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I CALLED MY CASE WAS CLOSED.
IN JUNE 6/2016, MY WAS WAS GOING 35MPH, APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION WHEN THE WRENCH LIGHT FOLLOWED BY THE "TERRAIN MANAGEMENT FAULT" WARNING CAME ON. THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER. TRAFFIC COMING FROM HER RIGHT RECEIVED THE GREEN LIGHT AND SHE WAS NEARLY KILLED BY A DRIVER WHO DROVE THROUGH THE LIGHT, TIMING IT FOR WHEN IT TURNED GREEN. THE VEHICLE SPENT 14.5 DAYS AT THE PALM BAY FORD DEALERSHIP IN PALM BAY FLORIDA WERE IT WAS PURCHASED NEW. FORD DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY. I WENT ONLINE AND SAW THE NUMBER OF THESE THROTTLE BODY FAILURES AND CONTACTED THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE. I EXPLAINED TO THEM I FELT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE, THAT I HAD NO CONFIDENCE IN THE VEHICLE, AND THAT IF THERE HAD BEEN NO DESIGN CHANGE TO THE THROTTLE BODY IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN. I WAS GIVEN A CASE NUMBER (WHICH HAS NOW BEEN CLOSED), AND NOTES OF MY CONCERNS WERE MADE ON THE CASE. ON 10/11/2016 I AT 1530 EDT, I WAS PULLING OUT OF A GAS STATION TURNING RIGHT, WITH TRAFFIC APPROACHING FROM MY LEFT. THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON FOLLOWED BY THE "TERRAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FAULT" ALERT. THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER (THROTTLE RESPONSE) AND THE APPROACHING TRAFFIC HAD TO LOCK UP THEIR BRAKES TO AVOID A BROADSIDE COLLISION!. I HAD MY WIFE, 10YR OLD DAUGHTER AND 12YR OLD SON IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME. HAD A COLLISION OCCURRED MY SON WOULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. THE VEHICLE WENT BACK TO THE PALM BAY FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT 10/12/2016 AT 0900 EDT. THE THROTTLE BODY HAD FAILED AGAIN AS PREDICTED, THE VEHICLE IS STILL THERE. I HAVE CONTACTED THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE AND RECEIVED TWO CASE NUMBERS NOW. 1: CAS-10814941-Q8T7Z5, 2: CAS-10830198. I TRIED TO GET FORD TO TAKE THE CAR BACK AND TRADE IN ON A NEW ONE AS THIS IS AN "UNSAFE"VEHICLE. THEY WILL NOT HELP US AND THIS THROTTLE BODY ISSUE IS AN EPIDEMIC! I AM SURE THERE HAS BEEN LOSE OF LIFE FROM THESE "UNSAFE" VEHICLES?

10/04/2016 MY TOUCH SCREEN FROZE. I HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE HEATING AND COOLING IN THE BACK 2 ROWS OF SEATS. NAVIGATION, RADIO, SIRIUS, AND MORE DO NOT WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN ON A CITY STREET WHEN EVERYTHING FROZE. CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. A REPLACEMENT SCREEN WAS ORDERED BUT HAS BEEN ON BACK ORDER FOR ALMOST 4 WEEKS CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TWICE BUT THEY WILL NOT HELP. MY DELORSHIP CARLSBAD FORD SAID THEY CAN NOT GET ANY INFORMATION ON THE DELAY

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HEATING SYSTEM BECAME INOPERABLE AND THE CHECK ENGINE, SERVICE TRACTION, AND BATTERY WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS UNABLE TO BE STARTED OR DIAGNOSED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY FAILED. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED AND REPROGRAMMED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,412. *TR
I STARTED MY VEHICLE AT WHICH TIME I NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO MOVE LEFT OR RIGHT. THE SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC SYSTEM LIGHT WAS ON. IT WOULD ONLY MOVE 1/4 OF AN INCH IN EITHER DIRECTIONS. I COULD DRIVE FORWARD AND BACKWARD HOWEVER IMPOSSIBLE TO SAFELY DRIVE AS YOU CANNOT MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. ON THE OTHER OCCASIONS THIS OCCURRED IT WAS AFTER HAVING DRIVEN THE VEHICLE PARKING AND THEN RETURNING A SHORT WHILE LATER AND ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE. THE DEALERSHIP FIRST SAID WAS A STEERING GEAR WHICH WAS REPLACED THEN SAID CODES NEED TO BE CLEARED THEN SAID WAS A MODULE AND THEN SAID WAS ANOTHER MODULE AND AS OF TODAY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. *TR
THERE IS AN OVERBEARING ALMOST INTOXICATING SULFUR/ROTTEN EGG SMELL COMING IN THE CABIN OF THE CAR ANY TIME ACCELERATING. I GOT THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2014 AND IT HAS BEEN DOING IT SINCE DAY ONE. AT FIRST I WROTE IT OFF AS NEW CAR OR POSSIBLY THE TURBO. BUT NOW AFTER READING THE THOUSANDS OTHERS WITH SAME PROBLEM I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILY'S WELL BEING. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY INFANT IN THIS CAR FOR TWO YEARS AND I AM VERY UPSET THAT I COULD HAVE PUT HER HEALTH AT RISK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EXPLORER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V286000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
EXHAUST LEAK INTO CABIN. EXHAUST ENTERS THE VEHICLE CABIN DURING HIGH RPM ENGINE CONDITIONS. THIS CONDITION OCCURS MOST FREQUENTLY WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS AND WHILE ACCELERATING TO PASS SLOWER VEHICLES. THIS SITUATION OCCURS ESSENTIALLY EVERY TIME THIS DRIVING CONDITION IS EMPLOYED, AND THE LONGER THE ACCELERATION PERIOD AND THE LONGER THE DURATION OF HIGH RPM ENGINE SPEED, THE MORE DRAMATIC THE EXHAUST LEAK RESULTS.
I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE FUEL VALVE ON FORD VEHICLES WITH THE CAPLESS FUEL SYSTEMS. I RECENTLY HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GO ON IN MY CAR FOR PO456 WHICH I TOOK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THEM CHECK IT OUT BECAUSE I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. TURNS OUT THAT THE FUEL VAPOR VALVE HAS STUCK OPEN AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. SADLY THIS IS AN EMISSIONS ISSUE AND NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY. I LOOKED UP ONLINE AND NOTICED THAT THIS HAPPENS A LOT TO FORD WITH THE CAPLESS FUELING SYSTEM. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE AND THEY ARE CHARGING $250 FOR A PART THAT GOES OUT IN LESS THAN 50K MILES.
UNSAFE C02 LEVELS IN CABIN ,BAD ODORS,WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WHILE A/C ON. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 60 MPH WHEN WINDOW TRIM ON RIGHT SIDE FLEW OFF. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALS THAT THIS IS A CHRONIC & RECURRING DEFECT, ONE THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO OTHER DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS AS WELL. I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE LEFT SIDE TRIM AT A COST OF OVER $200. FORD DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO COVER REPAIR
I'VE OWNED A 2014 EXPLORER SPORT FOR 3 YEARS, AND HAVE HAD THE 'ROTTEN EGG' SMELL OFF AND ON. I THOUGHT IT WAS RELATED TO THE TWIN TURBO AND THE VEHICLE BEING NEW, AS IT ONLY HAPPENED UNDER HARD ACCELERATION (I NOW KNOW IT ALSO PRIMARILY HAPPENS WHEN THE AC IS ON). 3 YEARS LATER I FINALLY TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE TO DISCOVER A TSB HAD BEEN ISSUED FOR IT. AFTER FURTHER SEARCHING THE WEB, I NOW SEE MANY OTHERS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE - AND ALSO SEE THAT CO HAS BEEN ENTERING THE CABIN, WHICH REALLY PROMPTED THIS COMPLAINT. I'M ALSO CONCERNED THAT PEOPLE ARE REPORTING THE TSB DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE, AND PLAN TO CARRY A CO MONITOR FOR A WHILE TO CHECK.
WITH 48,000 MILES THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF AND BACK ON AND IT WAS STILL NOT WORKING. IT WAS DRIVEN A SHORT DISTANCE AND PARKED. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF BEING OFF THE POWER STEERING RESET. IT WAS DRIVEN TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER WHO STATED IT NEEDED A SOFTWARE UPDATE. THEY REFUSED TO COVER THE COST STATING IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CAR WAS NOT RETURNED FOR FIVE DAYS.
FORD INITIATED RECALL ON 4/25/16 FOR A TOELINK SUSPENSION REPAIR. IT HAS BEEN LONGER THAN 60 DAYS AND I HAVE NOT BEEN OFFERED A REPAIR DUE TO LACK OF PARTS ACCORDING TO DISCUSSIONS WITH FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MY LOCAL DEALER. I HAVE NOT BE OFFERED A TEMPORARY REPLACEMENT VEHICLE. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY AS THE VEHICLE IS OUR PRIMARY FAMILY VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT SMELLED A FUEL ODOR AFTER THE REPAIRS. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.

WE WERE DRIVING DOWN A RURAL ROAD BEGINNING TO SLOW DOWN, WHEN THE CAR DID NOT SLOW DOWN, IT.WENT AT FULLSPEED WHILE HITTING THE BRAKES. THEN HITTING A TREE HEAD ON, CAUSING A FATALITY. DURING MY VACATION IN JULY 2016, WHILE DRIVING ON ROUTE 95 INTERSTATE, I NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WAS GETTING HARD TO CONTROL. I CONTINUED DRIVING AND RECEIVED A ALARM ON THE DASH STATING THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL IS NOW OFF, SERVICE NEEDED. I PROCEEDED TO THE FIRST GAS STATION AND UPON RE-STARTING THE VEHICLE, ANOTHER ALARM ON THE DASH SAID POWER STEERING NOT WORKING. I HAD NO POWER STEERING. I HAD TO BE TOWED TO A FORD DEALER WHERE THEY DETERMINED IT WAS A BAD GEAR IN THE STEERING GEARBOX AND THE ENTIRE UNIT WOULD NEED REPLACED. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 40,000 MILES.

I TOOK BACK TO DEALER WHEN PROBLEM STARTED AGAIN. NOW THEY SAY THE DOOR LATCH IS BROKEN AND WANT $366.00 TO FIX IT, AND THEY HAVE TO ORDER THE PART. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH FORD PRODUCTS AND THEY HAVE IN FACT RECALLED SEVERAL MODELS. I WAS GIVEN THE IMPRESSION TO START WITH THAT IF THE CONTACT CLEANING PROCEDURE DIDN'T WORK THEN IT WOULD BE REPLACED. NOW THEY WANT TO CHARGE FOR THIS.

ON 22 JULY I WENT TO SNOWSHOE, WV, AND ON 24 JULY I RETURNED FROM SNOWSHOE. I SMELLED SULFURISH EXHAUST 4 TIMES THIS TRIP. IT OCCURRED ON UPHILL GRADES WHERE THE VEHICLE HAD DOWNSHIFTED. 3 NEW PLACES, ALL AT 55 MPH OR GREATER, UPHILL AND INVOLVING A DOWNSHIFT, IE HIGHER EXHAUST VOLUME AND PRESSURE. INDICATING TO ME THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE. LIKE AN EXHAUST SEAL BREAKING DOWN. WHEN I GOT HOME, I WENT TO GET SOMETHING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. WHEN I WENT TO OPEN THE DOOR THE ODOR WAS THE STRONGEST I HAS SMELLED IT. REINFORCING MY BELIEF IT IS EXHAUST ESCAPING BEFORE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. ALSO MEANING I AM PROBABLY GETTING A HEALTHY DOSE OF CARBON MONOXIDE ALL THE TIME FROM THIS EXHAUST LEAK. PLEASE DO A RECALL!!!!!

BOUGHT MY 2014 EXPLORER BRAND NEW FROM KOONS FORD AND RIGHT OFF THE BAT, THE DRIVER SEATS STARTED SQUEAKING AT ABOUT 5K MILES. THEY REPLACED THE LOWER LUMBAR BAR, WHICH FIXED IT FOR ANOTHER 2K MILES AND THE SEAT STARTED SQUEAKING AGAIN. I GAVE UP ON THIS ISSUE AFTER A FEW MORE ATTEMPTS TO GET IT FIXED. THEN ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER, THE LCD ON MY DASH WOULD STAY ON EVERY NOW AND THEN WHEN I SHUT OFF AND LOCK THE CAR. TOOK IT BACK TO KOONS AND THEY CLAIM THEY CAN'T REGENERATE THE ISSUE AND CAN'T FIX IT. AFTER 2 YEARS, STARTED HEARING WHINNING/SQUEALING NOISES FROM THE REAR WHEELS, KOONS ALSO COULD NOT DIAGNOSE/FIX. I GAVE UP ON KOONS AND TOOK IT TO TED BRITT, WHO ALSO COULD NOT DIAGNOSE/FIX. HAD MY 45K SERVICE AND TOLD THEM ABOUT BAD ODOR SMELL IN THE CAR AT TED BRITT AND THEY SAID EVERYTHING IS IN GREAT CONDITION, 5K MILES LATER, REAR WHEELS HAS GRINDING NOISES WHEN DRIVING AT LOW OR HIGH SPEEDS AND THE BAD ODOR IS STILL AROUND, MY 8 YEAR OLD SON COMPLAINS ABOUT THE CAR GIVING HIM HEADACHES. I TOOK IT BACK TO FORD AND THEY SAID THERE IS ONLY A TSB SO, THE OWNERS DO NOT GET NOTIFIED, WHICH I THINK, WE AS OWNERS SHOULD BE NOTIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURE OF ANY HARMFUL SUBSTANCE LINGERING INSIDE THE CAR CABIN AND SHOULD BE RECALLED AND FIXED AT NOT COST TO THE OWNERS. THIS IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OF THE MANUFACTURE.

HOWEVER A FEW MONTHS LATER THESE REPORTS OF CARBON MONOXIDE OR EXHAUST LEAKING INTO THE VEHICULAR WAS REPORTED. WE BROUGHT OUR 2014 FORD EXPLORER BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND ARE TOLD THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE BUT NO RECALL. FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY I WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR AN ISSUE THAT FORD DOES NOT THINK IS A PROBLEM.
