ON MY 1995 FORD F-150 P/U TRUCK, THERE IS A CLUTCH LINKAGE ROD WHICH GOES THROUGH THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH AND IMPACTS/INTERACTS WITH THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER. THIS PART ENDURES WEAR EACH TIME THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. AS SUCH, THE PLASTIC END OF THIS ROD AND THE PLASTIC SNAP/BUSHING/LOCK THAT IS PART OF IT ALSO WEARS SINCE THEY ARE IN CONTACT WITH A LINKAGE ROD WITH CONSIDERABLE FORCE. WHEN THE WEAR BECOMES EXCESSIVE, THE SNAP RING/BUSHING/FEMALE ROD END FAIL AND SLIP OR BREAK OFF CAUSING THE CLUTCH TO ENGAGE THE TRANSMISSION AT WHATEVER GEAR IS ENGAGED AT THAT TIME.

VEHICLE EXPERIENCED REAR TIRE BLOWOUT. TIRE RIM WAS NOTICED CUTTING INSIDE TIRES MOLD OF THE RIM FINISH WAS WORN ON ALL FOUR TIRES IN SAME PLACES. RIMS AND TIRES ARE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION. DEALER/ MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. *AK
FUEL FROM REAR TANK IS RETURNING TO FRONT TANK, CAUSING THE FRONT TANK TO OVERFILL. THE GAS COMES SPEWING OUT. THIS IS ALSO CAUSING VEHICLE TO SPUTTER, AND LOSE POWER.
ORIGINAL LOCKING HUBS WERE REPLACED IN JULY OF 1997. THEY WERE LOCKING THEMSELVES IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WITH NO INPUT FROM DRIVER TO DO SO. MILEAGE ON VEHICLE WAS 42,508. MILEAGE IS NOW 67,000, AND THESE HUBS ARE NOW DOING THE SAME THING. COST ESTIMATE TO FIX PROBLEM IS AROUND $600. I THINK FORD SHOULD PICK UP THE TAB FOR THIS REPAIR. *AK
AUTOMATIC FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM FAILURE, FOUR WHEEL DRIVE DOES NOT ENGAGE FRONT HUBS, FOUR WHEEL DRIVE INOPERABLE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 55 MPH OWNER HEARD THUMPNG NOISE AND PROBLEMS CONTROLLING THE TRUCK. WHEN DRIVER WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER, TIRES ON THE RIGHT PASSENGER'S SIDE WERE TORN TO PIECES. TIRE 23585 R16, ORIGINAL TIRE EQUIPMENT, ON A FORD, F250, 1995.TIRE WAS TAKEN TO FIRESTONE. NO TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT WAS GIVEN FOR THE TIRE. *AK DOT# VNOR 1WN285 THE TIRE THAT EXPERIENCED THE BLOWOUT CAUSED DAMAGE TO ANOTHER TIRE. *SLC
REAR ANTI-LOCK BRAKES LOCK UP CAUSING SKIDDING AND LOSS OF CONTROL, WHEN HUMID OR RAIN CONDITIONS EXIST. THIS HAS OCCURED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW. THE DEALER TOLD ME THIS WAS NORMAL, AND TO DRAG THE BRAKE PEDAL TO CAUSE FRICTION AND DRY OUT THE DRUMS. NOW THAT THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, THE DEALER NOW SAYS THAT IT IS CAUSED BY A FAILED SENSOR, REQUIRING $288.00 IN REPAIRS.

WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH APPLIED BRAKES AND BRAKES LOCKED UP, CAUSING THE CONSUMER'S STEERING WHEEL TO LOCK UP TOO. *AK
AFTER FILLING UP TRUCK, GAS WILL FLOW FROM ONE TANK TO THE OTHER CAUSING AN OVERFLOW OF GAS TO LEAK THROUGH GAS CAP. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER NOT FOR THIS YEAR VEHICLE. *JG *AK
THE PROBLEM CONTINUES TO OCCUR. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BASCIALLY SAID UNLESS THE CLUTCH TOTALLY FAILS THEY CAN DO NOTHING ELSE. I FEEL THE VECHICLE IS UNSAFE IN ITS PRESENT STATE. BUT THEY CANNOT SEEM TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM. WE HAVE DRIVEN MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS FOR ALMOST 35 YEARS. I BELIEVE WE KNOW A PROBLEM WITH A CLUTH WHEN WE EXPERIENCING ONE. ANY HELP OR KNOWLEDGE OF SIMILAR PROBLEMS WOULD BE MOST WELCOME. *AK
VEHICLE WAS MISBUILT. CATALYTIC CONVERTER MELTED THE RUBBER BUSHINGS ,AND THE RADIUS ARM BUSHINGS. DEALER CONTACTED AND IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. CANNOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM. REPAIR WORK WAS DONE AT OWNER'S EXPENSE. PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
LEFT FRONT UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS MADE THE WHEEL LOOSE. DEALER CONTACTED, AND WILL PAY FOR HALF OF THE REPAIRS. CONSUMER STATES THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *AK

CONSUMER WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF HIM MADE AN ILEGAL LEFT TURN, CAUSING A REAREND COLLISION AT 35MPH, AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER ALSO EXPERIENCED ABS BRAKE FAILURE. *AK
THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. THE REAR BRAKES ONLY MALFUNCTION DURING WET/COLD AND/OR INCLEMENT WEATHER. IN ONE INSTANCE, THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING, AND WENT TO APPLY BRAKES, FOOT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOORBOARD. IN TURN, THE CONSUMER RAN INTO A SNOW BANK TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE DOESN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS DURING WARM WEATHER. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND LITIGATION IS IN PROCESS. *AKBRAKE ADJUSTERS DON'T WORK AND REAR BRAKES BECOME INOPERATIVE. *YH
DURING INPACT, AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY.
WHILE DRIVING HAD A DIRECT FRONTAL IMPACT AND DRIVER'S AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, WHICH DID NOT PROTECT THE OCCUPANT IN THIS ACCIDENT. NO PRIOR PROBLEM WITH AIRBAG. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
AUTOMATIC LOCKING HUBS LOCKED UP AND BURNED CAUSING VEHICLE TO LOOSE TRACTION IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE.
DEFECTIVE CENTER SUPPORT BAR IN THE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK

LOOSE TRANSMISSION CARRIAGE. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR UNDER THE EXISTING WARRANTY. THE TRANSMISSION, HAD I NOT PAID TO GET IT FIXED,COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR ALL OF A SUDDEN AS THIS WAS A FACTORY ASSEMBLY ERROR. *AK
CONSUMER HAS EXPERIENCED PROBLEM WITH AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER HIT THE REAR OF FRONT VEHICLE AND AIR BAG DEPLOYED, CAUSING 3RD DEGREE BURNS ON LEFT HAND, 4 INCH LONG. DEALER/MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. *AK
BRAKE FAILURE CAUSES BRAKE TO LOCK UP,PULL TO THE SIDE AND MAKE CONTROL OF VEHICLE EXTREMLY DIFFICULT, BRAKES HEAT UP (SMELLED BURNING), DEALER REPLACED CALIPERS, FRONT DISC BRAKES, RESURFACED ROTORS BUT PROBLEMS STILL EXIST. *ET
NOISE COMING FROM WERE RIVET IN CROSSMEMBER CAUSING WELDING TO WEAR AND ALLOWING MEMBER TO SLIDE.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 75 MPH DID NOT HEAR A NOISE, BUT FELT LIKE WAS LOSING CONTROL OF VEHICLE. FOUND OUT THAT LEFT FRONT TIRE HAD A TREAD SEPARATION. FIRESTONE STS, SIZE P260/75R15. *AK
AT THE ABOVE DATE AND TIME, THE OIL PAN ON THIS VEHICLE BEGAN TO DISPLAY LARGE RUST BLISTERS. AN INSPECTION BY THE DEALER SHOWED THAT THE OIL PAN HAD RUSTED THROUGH.*AK
OIL PAN RUSTED THROUGH RESULTING IN LOSS OF OIL ONTO ROADWAY.
ORIGINAL DRAG LINK BALL STUD FAILED/SEPARATED, CAUSING THE STEERING ECTOR SHAFT ARM TO BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE RIGHT WHEEL SPINDLE. I BELIEVE A VERY RARE OCCURANCE. ALTHOUGH THE ACTUAL FAILURE HAPPENED AT A VERY SLOW SPEED, THE RESULT OF THIS FAILURE OCCURRING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS COULD VERY LIKELY RESULT IN MULTIPLE FATALITIES. THIS FAILED COMPONENT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND ADDRESSED EXPEDITCIOUSLY BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION IS 3 YEARS 4 MONTHS OLD WITH LESS THAN 55,00 MILES.
CONSUMER HAS A FIVE SPEED TRANSMISSION, AND 1ST AND 2 GEARS JUST GAVE OUT. THERE IS NO 1 AND 2 GEARS AT ALL. . DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

FUEL PUMP/HEATER CORE/DRIVESHAFT/BATTERY/FUEL GAUGE/FUEL LINES/SEAT SPRING/HEADLIGHTS AND FRONT WHEEL HUBS FAILED.

WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ABOUT 35 MPH CONSUMER LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE WITHOUT A REASON ON THE ROAD, HITTING A THREE HEAD-ON FIRST, AND THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE GARAGE TECHNICIAN SAID THE REASON THAT AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY WAS BECAUSE THE SENSORS WERE NOT ACTIVATED. FRONT 4-WHEEL DRIVE LOCKING HUBS LOCKED UP.
OIL PRESSURE GAUGE AND WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGE PEG OUT HIGH OR VASILATE ON INTERMITTENT BASES. GAUGES CAN SOMETIMES BE "TAPPED DOWN" . SENDING UNITS HAVE BEEN CHANGED WITH NO AFFECT. THIS CONDITION IS VERY DISTRACTIVE AND DOES NOT PROTECT EQUIPMENT IN CASE OF OVERHEATING. *AK
TRANSMISSION FAILED WHILE DRIVING.
OWNER HAS ABS BRAKES,BRAKES HAVE ERRATIC OPERATION IN DAMP WEATHER. VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED, ONCE RESULTING IN A COLLISION. ALSO REAR BRAKE SHOES FAILED DUE TO A DESIGN FLAW. *AK
AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY EVEN THOUGH THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT DROVE THE FRAME THROUGH THE BUMPER.
THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM LOCKS UP ON A DAILY BASIS. AT ANY SPEED PRESSING LIGHTLY ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE BRAKES WILL LOCK UP. *AK
VEHICLE HAD STOPPED/PULLED OVER WHEN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S WHEEL FELL OFF, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT FRONT HUB, AND 4X4 ASSEMBLY BEARINGS AND SPINDLE. THE DEALER HAS REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. *AK
THE DRIVER'S SEATBACK BROKE. ONE OF THE WELDD FROM THE SEAT BROKE WHEN THE SEAT BACK BROKE. THE DRIVER SAID THAT THE SEAT DOES NOT RETAIN THE DRIVER IN BECAUSE OF THE SEA BACK HAS BROKEN FROM THE SEAT FRAME. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THE HOOD LATCH RELEASED WITHOUT REASON, CAUSING THE HOOD TO FLY UP. PLEASE PROVIDE FURHTER DETAILS. *AK
