ABS BRAKES FAILED CAUSING TIRES TO LOCK UP, TRUCK SHAKES/VIBRATES.
CONSUMER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH STANDARD TRANSMISSION. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE MAZDA TRANSMISSION USED IN THESE VEHICLES HAVE DEFECTS. THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T SHIFT. IT WOULD STAY IN NEUTRAL AT TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
CLUTCH FAILED PREMATURELY.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ABOUT ANY MPH THE CONSUMER STEPPED , AND VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE ANY BRAKES. THE CONSUMER HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP THREE TIMES. *AK
OIL PAN IS RUSTING ON 3 SEPARATE PLACES, CAUSING OIL TO LEAK FROM THE OIL PAN. *AK
MANUAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE.
DRIVING AT APPROX 40-45 MPH WENT TO TURN AT A CURVE , DOWNSHIFTED IN THIRD GEAR, GEAR LOCKED. CLUTCH WENT TO FLOOR,C OULD NOT MOVE CLUTCH, WOULD NOT COME OUT OF GEAR. HAD TO SLOW DOWN ENOUGH SO ENGINE WILL CUT ITSELF OFF. AFTERWARDS, WENT TO START IT AGAIN VEHICLE ACCELERATED, BECAUSE VEHICLE WAS STILL IN GEAR . DEALER SAID HYDRAULIC MASTER CYLINDER CLUTCH AND SLAVE CYINDER BLEW UP. THIS DEFECT CAN RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. *AK
WITHIN 30,000 MILES THE BRAKE PADS HAS PREMATURELY WORN OUT, AND HAVE BEEN CHANGED 15 TIMES IN THAT PERIOD. CAUSE UNKNOWN. *AK.ET.
WHILE DRIVING APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE FRONT ABS BRAKES LOCKED UP, CAUSING THE BACK BRAKES TO PERFORM ONLY. THIS IS VERY HARD ON THE BACK BRAKES. WHILE THE BACK BRAKES ARE WORKING NOTICED THAT THE FRONT BRAKES TREND WAS TORN OFF. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE THE FRONT ABS BRAKES WILL NOT WORK. THEY LOCK UP, CAUSING ONLY THE BACK BRAKES TO PERFORM WHICH IS VERY HARD ON THE BACK BRAKES BECAUSE THE FRONT BRAKES. *AK
FUEL TANK HAD A FATIGUE CRACK, CAUSING LEAKAGE . THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY REPLACED BY THE DEALER. *AK
FUEL TANK FAILED DUE TO RUBBING AGAINST THE FRAME OF THE TRUCK CAUSING WORN SPOT.
WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED AND CONSUMER MOVES SHIFTER TOWARDS PARK, THE VEHICLE DOES NOT PARK. CONSUMER SAID WHEN VEHICLE IS IN PARK, IT ROLLS LIKE IN NEUTRAL. *AK
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FAILURE. INTERMITTENT DRIFTING WHEN TRUCK WAS IN PARK. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS A WRECK AND THE DEALERSHIP SOLD IT AS NEW. THE STEERING IS OFF, AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF. THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE NO LONGER WORKS AND FORD REFUSES TO REPAIR IT. **AK
THE VEHICLE HAD A HISTORY OF FUEL MILEAGE PROBLEMS, AFTER BEING SERVICE BY THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY CAUGHT FIRE WHILE DRIVING, THE DRIVER SUFFERED SERIOUS 3RD DEGREE BURNS AND OTHER BODILY INJURIES. *YH
ENGINE OIL PAN CORRODED THROUGH, CAUSING LEAKAGE (CORROSION SPOTS DETECTED IN NUMEROUS PLACES). *AK
THE CONSUMER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. CONSUMER COULDN'T PUT VEHICLE IN 4- WHEEL DRIVE. AUTOMATIC LOCK-OUT HUBS THAT ARE MADE OF ALUMINUM ARE BREAKING FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. OWNER HAD TO INSTALL MANUAL HUBS AT HIS OWN COST. *AK *ML
OIL PAN GASKET FAILURE.
WHEN APPLYING THE ABS BRAKES IN WET WEATHER IN A SUDDEN STOP, THE VEHICLE BRAKES LOCKED UP/GRAB, CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. *AK
FUEL PUMP FAILED CAUSING GAS FROM REAR TANK TO BE PUMPED INTO FRONT TANK WHICH IN RETURN MADE THE FRONT TANK OVERFLOW.
FRONT END FRAME RIVETS REPAIRED AT FORD SERVICE CENTER MORE THAN ONCE AND CONTINUES.
TRANSMISSION FAILED, CAUSING SLIP. YH
THE GENERAL TIRES EXPERIENCED TREAD SEPARATION, ON ONE OCCASION THE TREAD THAT PEELED AWAY FROM THE TIRE DAMAGED THE DOOR. *SLC
VEHICLE PULLS TO LEFT WHEN DRIVING AND BRAKING.
ENGINE OIL PAN CORRODED THROUGH CAUSING LEAKAGE.
AIR BAG: AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING WHILE DRIVING.TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR AND COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. HAPPENED AGAIN THREE TIMES AND THE FOURTH TIME THEY PUT A NEW SENSOR IN. *AK
WARPED FRONT BRAKE PADS/ROTORS CAUSED A CRASH/INJURIES. ALSO FRAME CROSSMEMBER FAILED.
CHUNKS OF METAL BROKE OF BRAKE ROTORS, CAUSING VIBRATION/CONTROLLING DIFFICULTY.
VEHICLE JUMPS OUT OF GEAR IN PARK AND WHILE DRIVING. *AK
THE FRONT BRAKING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE WHICH MAY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
VEHICLE WAS PARKED OUTSIDE IN THE GARAGE. SIX HOURS LATER VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED OUT TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. *AK
MOUSE NEST COMPACTED AROUND CLUTCH EVENTUALLY WORE IT OUT.
WHILE DRIVING AND COMING TO STOP LIGHT, STARTED TO BRAKE AND ABS BRAKES LOCKED UP, WENT INTO A SKID, REARENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. *AK
VEHICLE HAS ABS BRAKES. VEHICLE PULLS LEFT TO RIGHT WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. CAUSING VEHICLE TO ENTER ANOTHER LANE. DEALERS ARE UNABLE TO CORRECT PROBLEM. *AK DEALER WILL CORRECT PROBLEM IF CONSUMER PAYS FOR REPAIRS. *SLC
DRIVING ALONG ON THE HIGHWAY, HEARD A LOUD NOISE, SAW SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD AREA THROUGH THE VENTS. GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND IT BURST INTO FLAMES, BURNING THE ENTIRE VEHICLE. *AK
THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT KEEPS GOING ON AND OFF. *AK
BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR, BRAKES FADE AWAY/EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO RUN THROUGH A STOP SIGN, AFTER PUMPING THE BRAKES 10- 15 TIMES THE CONSUMER NOTICED FEELING IN THE BRAKES DUE TO AN INTERNAL LEAK IN THE MASTER CYLINDER. *AK
TURNED THE CORNER, TOUCHED THE ABS BRAKES AND THE BRAKES FAILED, VEHICLE THREW HIM OVER AND WENT UP A BANK, SAFETY BELTS DID NOT LOCK, AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THERE WAS NO BRAKING, VEHICLE HAS ABS ANTI-LOCK BRAKES . PLEASE DESCRIBE . *AK
ANTILOCK BRAKES LOCKED UP, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
WHEN ABS BRAKES ARE APPLIED AT TIMES THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT. MADE A RIGHT TURN , TOUCHED THE BRAKE PEDAL LIGHTLY AND THE VEHICLE WENT OUT OF CONTROL.*AK CONSUMER STATES THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE REAR DRUMS BEING OUT OF ROUND, FRONT BRAKES WERE REPLACED AT 3500 MILES. *SLC
HEATER CORE: HEATER CORE HAS GONE OUT ON THIS VEHICLE FIVE TIMES SINCE OCTOBER. WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT FILLS THE CAB OF THE TRUCK FULL OF THE ANTI-FREEZE FUMES AND FOGS THE WINDSHIELD, MAKING IT UNABLE TO SEE OUT. CONTACTED MANUFACTURER AND THEY SAID IT'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. *AK
HEATER CORE FAILED, CAUSING ANTI FREEZE FUMES TO FILL PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.
ABS BRAKE FAILURE, DRIVING AT SPEED 15 MPH ON WET ROAD SURFACE, APPLIED BRAKES, PEDAL BECAME SOFT AND BRAKES LOCKED UP, IMPACT 12:00 POSITION. *AK
CRUISE CONTROL FAILED.
SHIM ON RIGHT FRONT BALL JOINT WEARS OUT, CAUSING MISALIGNMENT AND EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR.
AUTOMATIC HUB, BOTH FRONT DRIVE HUB ASSEMBLIES, WHICH ENGAGES THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE IS DEFECTIVE. IT FAILS TO OPERATE AND DAMAGES OTHER COMPONENTS IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE. VEHICLE INOPERABLE. DEALER REPLACED HUBS TWO TIMES. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
DURING VEHICLE OPERATION WHEN THE ABS BRAKES ARE APPLIED, SERIOUS SHAKING AND PULLING TO THE RIGHT IS EXPERIENCED. THE FRONT ROTORS AND CALIPERS HAVE BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES. *AK
WARPED FRONT BRAKE ROTORS, CAUSING BRAKE STO SHAKE/GRIND WHILE DRIVING OVER A MOUNTAIN PASS; ALSO REPLACED FRONT BRAKE PADS. *AK
