RIGHT TORSION BAR SNAPPED OFF, CAUSING THE BODY OF VEHICLE TO FALL ONTO THE WHEELS .*AK

HAD RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 98V095000 & CONTACTED DEALER. TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS ON LUGS: NUTS. IN THE PROCESS OF REPAIRING LUGS: NUTS, THE "O" RINGS WERE REMOVED. THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN REMOVED. *AK
THE VEHICLE'S FRONT END HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE AT 40 MPH, SEATBELTS AND DRIVER'S SIDE/ PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER WAS INJURED. DEALER SAID AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. *AK
WHEN TRYING TO STOP VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE AND CUT OFF, EXCEPT WHEN IN NEUTRAL. THE DEALER SAID TORQUE CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
THE ACCELERATOR IS STICKING TO THE FLOOR IN A WIDE OPEN POSITION, CAUSING LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. *AK
WHEN TRAVELING AT 45-50 MPH CONSUMER NOTICED VIBRATION AND LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE FLOORBOARD AND FROM FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. DEALER UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM; VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIRS FOUR TIMES. *AK
THE SPARE TIRE MOUNT IN THE 1997-1999 MODEL F-150S SUFFERS DAMAGE FROM THE CROSSFRAME MOUNT. THE FRAME CUTS GROOVES INTO THE TIRE SIDEWALLS OVER A PERIOD OF TIME AND CAN CAUSE THE TIRE TO FAIL IF USED. THIS CAN ALSO RESULT IN A PERSON BEING STRANDED IF THE TIRE FAILS COMPLETELY, OR CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF THE DAMAGE WAS NOT NOTICED AND THE TIRE FAILED WHILE IN USE. THIS AFFECTS ALL 1997 TO 1999 MODEL F-150S, AND THE DAMAGE WORSENS WITH TIME, USUALLY BECOMING NOTICEABLE AFTER 10-15K MILES. FORD MOTOR HAS RECEIVED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SITUATION BUT HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. *AK( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 255/70R16 )
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN 30-40 MPH FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THE LOCATION OF OF TAILPIPE IN FRONT OF WHEEL IS CAUSING STRONG GAS FUMES TO GET INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. *AK

WHEN IT RAINS/MISTY OR FOGGY THE ELECTRICAL WIRING IS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO MISFIRE/ BACKFIRE AND ALMOST STALL, WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *AK
VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, AND JUMPED OUT OF GEAR. VEHICLE WENT OVER AN ENBANKMENT AND INTO SOME TREES. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED. *AK *ML
IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE STARTED THE GAS HAD TO BE APPLIED FOR A LONG TIME UNTIL THE ENGINE REVVED AT A NORMAL LEVEL. ONCE WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE JUST BLEW UP. DEALER HAS VEHICLE NOW. *AK
THE JACK IS 3-4 INCHES TOO SMALL FOR VEHICLE. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
AFTER TRVELING AT 60 TO 70 MHP ALL DAY FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME, VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY STALL WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN OR IN TRAFFIC. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK *SB
WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID SWITCH DOES NOT WORK. DEALER TRIED TO FIX IT, AND NO THERE WAS NO SOLUTION. *AK
FRONT BRAKE PADS REPLACED. *YC
AXLE HOUSING SHAFT TWISTED, CAUSING AXLE TO SLIDE IN AND OUT AND WEAR ON THE INSIDE OF REAR END. *AK
UPON EMERGENCY STOP BRAKES BEGAN TO STOP NORMALY,THEN RELEASED WITH LITTLE BRAKING EFFECT. EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DOG OWNER'S FAMILY PET KILLED. DEALER SAID NORMAL FOR ANTI-LOCK. I DRIVE OTHER 1997 FORD F150 FOR COMPANY BUSINESS AND THEY DON'T REACT THIS WAY
FORD EXHAUST DESIGN IS ROUTED IN FRONT OF RIGHT REAR TIRE. THE EXHAUST GASES CAUSE THE LUG NUTS, STUDS, AND BRAKE DRUM TO CORRODE CAUSING POOR BRAKE RESPONSE AND POSSIBLY WHEEL FAILURE.
EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS LEAKING COOLANT. ALSO, WHEN HEATER IS ON TEMPERATURE RISES EXTREMELY HIGH.
BRAKE ROTORS BECOME WARPED EVERY 4,000 TO 5,000 MILES. ALSO, BRAKE PEDAL GETS HARD, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *AK
ENGINE USES EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF OIL (MORE THAN A QUART EVERY 3000 MILES). DEALER WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT PROBLEM UNTIL VEHICLE USE ONE QUART WITHIN 900 MILES. *YC
DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR IS DEVELOPING CRACKS AROUND THE WINDOW AREA OF THE DOOR, WHICH COULD COMPROMISE THE INTEGRITY OF THE DOOR DURING SIDE IMPACT. DEALER SAYS WHOLE DOOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT 35-45 MPH CONSUMER HAD A FRONT END COLLISION AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.DEALER HAD NO RESPONSE . *AK
AS MY GIRLFRIEND WAS GETTING INTO MY TRUCK SHE HIT HER HEAD ON THE HAND HOLD BAR ON THE PAX SIDE OF MY TRUCK TODAY. SHE FELL OUT OF THE TRUCK TO THE PAYMENT. IT WAS SEVERAL MINS BEFORE SHE COULD GET UP. SHE WAS HURT VERY BAD. I'VE ALSO HIT MY HEAD ON THIS HAND HOLD BAR. I WANT THIS REPORTED TO FORD TO PAD IT MORE OR REMOVE IT FROM ALL TRUCKS!
AFTER PARKING VEHICLE DISENGAGED FROM PARK AND WENT INTO TO DRIVE, CAUSING VEHICLE TO LOSE CONTROL.. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
THE EXHAUST PIPE IS POSITIONED/DESIGNED SO THAT THE EXHAUST FROM THE PIPE IS RUINING THE WHEEL AND TIRE ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE. TIRE HAS BEEN REPLACED BECAUSE OF SEPERATION DUE TO THE HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST. DLR SAYS NEEDS A NEWLY POSITIONED EXHAUST PIPE.
ENGINE SPORADICALLY STALLS OUT WHILE DRIVING. THE ENGINE WILL TURN OVER, BUT WILL NOT COME ON. DEALER HAS SEEN VEHICLE AND CANNOT FIND A SOLUTION. *AK
THE FRONT LEFT WHEEL CRACKED, CAUSING A SLOW LEAK IN TIRE. DEALER HAS NOT SEEN VEHICLE. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION. *AK
WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN LOAD IT IS MISFIRING ON THE 2ND AND 4TH CYLINDER. THE DEALER HAS REPLACED THE MOTOR, AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *AK
INTERIOR LIGHT AND DOOR AJAR LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF EVEN WITH DOOR CLOSED. OWNER HAS TO TAKE BULB OUT OF DOME LIGHT. DEALER HAS NOT SEEN VEHICLE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH THE RIGHT REAR AXLE FELL OUT WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. EITHER CLIP THAT HOLDS AXLE IS FAULTY OR IMPROPERLY INSTALLED. *AK
THE SLIDING WINDOW HAS LEAKED MANY TIMES AND SEEMS IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. YH
DRIVER REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE AT 45 TO 50MPH, AND DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. BUT, PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG DID DEPLOY. DEALER DOES NOT KNOW WHY DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
WHILE IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE AND MAKING A TURN REAR WHEELS WOULD LOCK UP WITHOUT INDICATION. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FUTHER INFORMATON. *AK
A CRACK APPEARS IN THE DOOR SHEET METAL AT THE LOWER REAR OF THE BELT MOLDING ON DRIVER'S SIDE. *AK
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED.
AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY WHEN VEHICLE HAD CRASHED INTO A FENCE. ANOTHER VECHICLE HAD CUT OFF CONSUMER'S VEHICLE, AND HE RAN INTO A FENCE. NO INJURIES. REPORTED. *AK
DOOR CRACK AT CURVE OF WINDOW ON RT & LEFT DOOR
TIRE BROKE OFF FROM THE FRAME AXLE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN RESULTING IN COLLISION. YH
ENGINE STALLS WHILE DRINVING. YH
DOOR PILLAR CRACK @ WINDOW BELT MOULDING. PRETTY COMMON PROBLEM, AND MOST TRUCKS ARE ALREADY OUT OF WARRANTY THAT HAVE IT.
THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS BOTH HAVE APPROXIMATELY 1/2 INCH CRACKS OR LARGER IN THE SHEET METAL AT THE LOWER REAR OF THE BELT MOLDING.
WATER IS LEAKING INTO THE DASHBOARD, CAUSING WINDSHIELD WIPERS/INTERIOR LIGHTS, AND ELECTRICAL WINDOWS NOT TO WORK. ALSO, AIR BAG LIGHT REMAINS ILLUMINATED AND OTHER MALFUNCTIONS OCCUR. THE POINT FROM WHERE THE WATER IS LEAKING HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. *AK
