IT WAS RAINING, THE HIGHWAY WAS WET, AND I WAS DRIVING AT OR BELOW THE RATED SPEED LIMIT. WHAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF WAS THE FLOODING ON THE HIGHWAY. MY TRUCK HIT THE 2-FEET WATER, CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL, HIT THE GUARD RAIL WITH THE TRUCK FLIPPING ON ITS ROOF. MINOR INJURIES AND THE TRUCK COULD NOT BE DRIVEN; HOWEVER, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE WERE ON SITE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND IS A TOTAL LOSS, AS PER THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WILL BE CONTACTED DUE TO THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING. THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED USED, I HAVE HAD IT FOR 10+ YEARS, FULLY MAINTAINED, AND IT HAS 137,000 MILES ON IT WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED.
SOFT ALUMINUM HEADS ALLOWING SPARKPLUG THREADS TO WALLOW OUT AND SHOOT THEM OUT HEAD LIKE A RIFLE AND BREAKING COIL MOUNT AND SINCE FUEL STILL BEING SQUIRTED IN IT IS EJECTED INTO A HOT ENGINE MANIFOLD THAT COULD IGNITE THE FUEL AIR MIXTURE AND CAUSE A FIRE. HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET. FORD IS ADDLE IF THEY THINK THEY CAN PASS IT ON TO THE CONSUMER UNSCATHED!
WHEN FILLING MY GAS TANK A WEEK AGO, I NOTICED A STRONG FUEL SMELL. I LOOKED UNDER MY TRUCK AND SAW FUEL DRIPPING FROM THE SEEM OF THE GAS TANK. NOW THAT I'VE LOST HALF THE FUEL IT NO LONGER SMELLS OR LEAKS. IM CERTAIN THIS WAS A DIRECT CAUSE OF SALT CHEMICALS USED IN ICE REMOVAL, HERE IN NORTHERN MN. THE STRAPS AND FRAME CROSS MEMBER BARS HOLDING THE CARGO BED IN PLACE HAVE ALSO DISAPPEARED FROM RUST CORROSION.
The contact owns a 2001 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the passenger’s and driver’s side seat belts would unbuckle without warning. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 01V227001 (Seat Belts) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.
ONE OF THE STRAPS HOLDING UP MY FUEL TANK HAD RUSTED AND BROKE AWAY FROM TANK.THE OTHER STRAP IS RUSTING TOO.
DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLE BECOMES DISCONNECTED FOR NO REASON AND NO INDICATION ON THE DASH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND OFF, SMOKE WAS SEEN COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT STATED THE HOOD WAS OPENED AND FLAMES WERE SEEN IN THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE WITH A WATER HOSE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OR POLICE WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT NO DAMAGE WAS SEEN IN THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V017000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). A CASE WAS ALSO OPENED WITH THE MANUFACTURER WHOM INSTRUCTED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THAT IT WAS RELATED TO THE RECALL AND THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY OVERHEAT CAUSING A FIRE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
EJECTED OR BLOWN SPARK PLUG WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND HERD A LOUD POP AND THEN THE TRUCK STARTED DRIVING REALLY ROUGH. GOT IT TO THE SHOP AND THEY CONFIRMED AFTER I GAVE AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT I HEARD AND EXPERIENCED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AND THEN ILLUMINATED AGAIN AFTER A FEW SECONDS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED TWICE PREVIOUSLY. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION IN A STRAIGHT LINE WITH A S SPEED OF 30 MPH WHEN I HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND AND LOSS OF POWER, ALTHOUGH THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING BUT EXTREMELY ROUGH. I TURNED INTO A LOT WITHIN THE NEXT 75 YARDS AND PARKED, TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. I OPENED THE HOOD TO FIND A IGNITION COIL AND AN INTACT SPARK PLUG FROM CYLINDER #3 SITTING ON TOP OF THE VALVE COVER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2001 FORD F-150. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON THE STREET, AWAY FROM THE CONTACT'S HOME, IT CAUGHT FIRE. THE CONTACT WAS NOTIFIED BY THE NEIGHBOR FOLLOWED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE ORIGIN OF THE FIRE WAS FROM THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH/ENGINE AS DESCRIBED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V017000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). A POLICE AND FIRE REPORT WERE FILED. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. ...UPDATED 05/17/17 *BF

THE CONTACT WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V017000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL) AND HAD BEEN UNABLE TO RECEIVE THE PART FROM THE DEALER WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE, A FIRE ERUPTED UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO INVESTIGATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
WHILE DRIVING @ 50 MPH OR MORE, IF I LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, IT REMAINS ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE DOES NOT SLOW DOWN. SOMETIMES IT NEEDS TO BE STEPPED ON 2 - 3 TIMES BEFORE IT WILL DE-ACCELERATE. THIS CAN BE QUITE UNNERVING AND DANGEROUS. WHY HAS FORD NOT ADDRESSED THIS? *TR
AT ABOUT 2:00 A.M. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED OUTSIDE IN THE DRIVEWAY AND LAST TIME IT HAD BEEN DRIVEN WAS ABOUT 18HRS PRIOR. THE FIRE INITIALLY STARTED UNDER THE HOOD MELTING IT DOWN TO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT EVENTUALLY THE WHOLE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE AND IS NOW TOTAL LOSS.
SPARK PLUG EJECTED FROM THE ENGINE BLOCK, AS VEHICLE WAS MOVING ON A HIGHWAY. DISABLED, NEEDED A TOW. REPAIR VERY EXPENSIVE. *TR
WHILE MOVING TO COEUR D ALENE, ID, FROM CALIFORNIA, A SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT OF THE ENGINE BLOCK FOR THE SECOND TIME, CAUSING IT TO BE UN DRIVABLE, LEAVING US BROKE DOWN ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE, AND REQUIRING A VERY EXPENSIVE TOW FROM OREGON TO OUR NEW HOME IN IDAHO.
MY TRUCK CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE PARKED WITH THE KEY NOT IN THE IGNITION. THE FIRE BURNED THE TRUCK AND EVERYTHING IN IT COMPLETELY. CRIUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCCH RECALL.
THE TRUCK WAS PARKED AFTER BEING DRIVEN 2 MILES. IT HAD STARTED TO SMOKE AND NEXT THING I KNOW IT WAS ON FIRE. I CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, WHILE MY 15 Y/O SON PUT OUT FIRE WITH A FIRE EXTINGUISHER. IT WAS SAID TO BE A ELECTRICAL FIRE. A FRIEND THAT DRIVES TOW TRUCKS CAME BY TO LOOK AT IT AND SAID IT HAD A RECALL ON IT WHERE IT BURNED. IT BURNED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND FIRE DEPARTMENT SAID IT WAS THE WIRING UNDER THAT, THAT CAUSED THE FIRE. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL. SO I CONTACTED THE FORD COMPANY AND MADE A CLAIM WITH THEM ON THE FOLLOWING THURSDAY AFTER FIRE.I WAS TOLD I SHOULD HAVE A RESPONSE FROM THEM IN 15 BUSINESS DAYS, HERE IT IS 6 1/2 WEEKS LATER AND NOTHING. NOT A LETTER, NOT A PHONE CALL, NOTHING. I CALL AND GET TLD THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANYTHING DONE. I JUST WANT MY TRUCK FIXED. I WANT TO KNOW IF THE FORD COMPANY WILL REPAIR IT OR IF I NEED TO FIX IT MYSELF. MY HUSBAND IS ON DIALYSIS AND HAS MULTIPLE HEALTH ISSUES AND THIS WAS OUR ONLY RUNNING VEHICLE UNTIL THIS HAPPENED. PLEASE HELP.
SPARK PLUG BLOWN OUT OF HEAD. SPARK PLUG #7 BLEW OUT 9 MONTHS AGO. NOW PLUG #8 BLEW OUT. MECHANIC SAYS IT'S DUE TO POOR DESIGN OF ALUMINUM HEAD AND INSUFFICIENT THREADS. BOTH TIMES, THIS HAPPENED WHILE COASTING AT A SLOW SPEED (< 30 MPH).

GAS TANK FELL OUT OF VEHICLE,TEARING FILLER HOSE. TANK STRAPS AND SUPPORTING STRUCTURES RUST THRU, FAILURE. DRIVERS' SIDE REAR SHOCK DROPPED FROM VEHICLE BECAUSE METAL BRACKET IT WAS ATTACHED TO ROTTED THRU. BED RAILS COMPLETELY RUSTED THRU. FRAME HAS RUSTED THRU HOLES. COMPLETE RUST FAILURE. VEHICLE HAS ONLY 90K MILES ALWAYS MAINTAINED, WASHED UNDERNEATH WEEKLY IN WINTER. VEHICLE IN MOTION WHEN PARTS FELL ON RTE 58 AND THE SHOCK ON TOWN STREET..$900 TO REPAIR GAS TANK. SHOCK INCIDENT HAPPENED TODAY 11/26/2017, GAS TANK 9/12/2016
DRIVER SEAT BELT WILL NOT RETRACT OR EXTEND BELT CANNOT BE BUCKLED. SOMETIMES IF I SPEED UP TO AROUND 30 MPH BELT WILL RELEASE BUT HARD TO BUCKLE WHILE DRIVING.

WHILE DRIVING INTO TOWN AT 65 MPH THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY I APPLIED MY BRAKE AND IT RESUMED TO 65 FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS THEN ACCELERATED AGAIN. I TRIED THE BRAKES AGAIN AND THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR. IN ORDER TO STOP I PUSHED THE GEAR SHIFT INTO PARK FORCIBLY. THE TRUCK WENT INTO A SPIN AND CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE BARRIER..
GAS TANK FRONT STRAP IS BROKEN RUSTED. THE BACK ONE IS GOOD. I JUST KNOTICED.
ENGINE BLEW THE SPARK PLUG OUT WHILE IDLING. COULD CAUSE AN ENGINE FIRE.
BOTH REAR DOORS WILL NOT OPEN. IT WOULD BE VERY DANGEREOUS IF SOMETHING HAPPENED AND PASSENGERS COULD NOT GET OUT SAFELY.
WHILE DRIVING AT LESS THAN 25 MPH AND BRAKING THE TRUCK ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY. ENGINE RPM ACCELERATED TO MAX AND TRUCK STRUCK A PARKED VEHICLE AT APPROXIMATELY 5-10 MPH. FULL BRAKE APPLICATION WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV AT MAX RPM AND WAS TURNED OFF WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH. THIS PREVIOUSLY HAD HAPPENED WHEN MERGING INTO HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC OR PASSING WITH ACCELERATOR PUSHED TO NEAR FULL DOWN POSITION. THIS TIME THE DRIVER HAD HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-150. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE GEAR FAILED TO REMAIN IN DRIVE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC DIAL IN THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
FORD F150 2001 TRUCK CAUGHT FIRE AND WAS TOTALED. TRUCK WAS PARKED OUTSIDE OF HOUSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN IT WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ADDED BRAKE FLUID TO THE VEHICLE. AFTER DRIVING TEN MILES, THE BRAKE FLUID LEAKED OUT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
THERE HAS BEEN NO INCIDENT AS YET BUT THE FRAME OF THIS VEHICLE HAS SUCH EXTREME CORROSION THAT CERTIFIED MECHANICS ARE RELUCTANT TO WORK ON THIS VEHICLE SINCE THEY ARE CONCERNED ABOUT A FAILURE OCCURRING AT CONNECTION POINT WHERE THE STEERING AND SUSPENSION CONNECTS TO THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THEIR CONCERN IS A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IF ANY OF THE STEERING OR SUSPENSION CONNECTION POINTS FAIL DUE TO THE SEVERELY CORRODED FRAME. THIS IS NOT SURFACE CORROSION, THE METAL IS FLAKED AND SEPARATED AND IT IS THE ENTIRE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. I HAD JUST SPENT $4,000 TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BACK TO THE TAIL PIPE AND THE MECHANIC IS WARNING ME ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE SUSPENSION AND STEERING COMPONENTS BECAUSE OF THE EXTREME CORROSION. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 77, 000 ORIGINAL MILES AND HAS NEVER BEEN IN SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK THIS MORNING AND AROUND 7:00 AM. IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 20 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND I TRIED THE REAR DEFROSTER. THE REAR DEFROSTER HAS WORKED ONLY ABOUT 20% OF THE TIME FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS AND NOT AT ALL FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS; SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN IT ACTUALLY TURNED ON TODAY. 10 MINUTES AFTER TURNING ON THE DEFROST I WAS DRIVING APPROX 30MPH THROUGH TOWN WHEN I HEARD A LOUD BANG INSIDE THE TRUCK. IT WAS LOUD ENOUGH THAT I SWERVED AND LOOKED AROUND TO SEE IF PEOPLE WERE THROWING ICE CHUNKS AT CARS OR SHOOTING BB GUNS. A FEW MINUTES LATER I NOTICED THAT THE REAR WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE TRUCK HAD COMPLETELY SHATTERED. THE ONLY THING HOLDING THE GLASS TOGETHER IS THE TINT TAPE. THE WINDOW WILL NEED A COMPLETE REPLACEMENT.
THE FRAME RAILS JUST IN FRONT OF THE REAR WHEELS RUST/ROTTED AND THE VEHICLE SNAPPED IN TWO PIECES. SIMILAR TO THE FAILURES COVERED BY TOYOTA RECALL FOR THE TUNDRA OF THE SAME MODEL YEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING RAISED ON A LIFT FOR AN OIL CHANGE. NOT A SPEC OF RUST ON THE BODY ANYWHERE.
I HAVE A 2001 FORD F-150 XLT 4X4 SUPER CREW JUST HIT 100000 MILES AND MY FRAME SNAPPED IN HALF WHILE DRIVING WITH MY WIFE AND FOUR KIDS IN THE CAR WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT WHEN TURN GREEN WENT TO TAKE OFF AND IT SNAPPED IN HALF THE STATE I LIVE IN IT NEEDS TO BE SCRAPED BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT INSPECT A WELDED FRAME I AM SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED THIS NEEDS TO BE FELT WITH A 11 YEAR OLD TRUCK FRAME SHOULD NOT BRAKE LIKE THIS I HAVE A 89 FORD F-150 N IT'S FRAME IS IS IN SLIT BETTER CONDITION THAN THIS I AM NOT HAPPY

THE SPARK PLUG POPPED OUT OF THE CYLINDER HEAD.
THE HEATER CORE LEAKS COOLANT INTO THE INTERIOR COMPARTMENT FOGGING THE WINDOWS AND PREVENTING USE OF THE HEATER SYSTEM TO DEFOG/DEFROST WINDOW PROVIDING AN UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITION DURING FROSTY OR RAINY DAYS. CORE HAS BEEN REPLACED NOW 4 TIMES USING MANUFACTURER PARTS OR AFTERMARKET PARTS. ALL TECHNICAL BULLETINS HAVE BEEN FOLLOWED TO TRY AND COMPLETE THE REPAIR SUCCESSFULLY. THE FIX HAS NOT LASTED. DATE LISTED BELOW FOR WHEN OCCURRED IS DATE OF LAST OCCURANCE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND THE POWER FAILED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO PRESTIGIOUS MOTORS DEALER LOCATED IN RIVERHEAD, NY WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE THE RECALL COMPONENT AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR OTHER REPAIRS, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. ALL I KNOW IS I WAS AT A NEIGHBORS FOR AROUND 1 1/2 HOURS AND WE HEAR A LOUD BOOM. WE RAN OUT SIDE AND MY TRUCK HOOD WAS ON FIRE, IT BURNED EVERYTHING VISIBLE ON TOP OF THE MOTOR AND TOWARD THE DRIVER FIREWALL . IT BUSTED THE DRIVER SIDE TIRE AND COMPLETELY BURNED EVERYTHING VISIBLE UNDER THE HOOD. THE DASH COMPONENTS AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE ARE NOT BAD, UNKNOWN OF INTERNAL DAMAGE.I'M NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. I DID GO TO THE RECALL SITE TO SEE IF THERE MAY HAVE BEEN SOMETHING I DID FIND THIS CONTROL SWITCH FOR SPEED RECALL AND NOT SURE IF IT APPLIES TO MINE.EVEN THOUGH IT BROUGHT IT UP WHEN I ENTERED MY VIN #. I DID RECEIVE A RECALL ON THE GAS TANK STRAPS BUT DID NOT REPLACE THEM THEY WERE IN GREAT SHAPE. BUT I DID NOT RECEIVE ON ON THIS. I DO HAVE PICTURES IF YOU NEED THEM. THANKS
I HAD BEEN AT MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE FOR OVER 1 1/2 HOURS. WE HEARD A LOUD BOOM THAT SHOOK THE TRAILER WE RAN OUTSIDE AND DISCOVERED THE DRIVERS SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT DUE TO THE FIRE. THE ENTIRE HOOD WAS MELTING DOWN ONTO THE MOTOR . THERE WAS NO ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS LEFT UNDER THE HOOD BY THIS TIME AND THE FIRE WAS SPREADING TO THE CAB , BUT WE FINALLY PUT IT OUT THEN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME . I CALLED MY INSURANCE CO , THEY ARE INVESTIGATING THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE . PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANY OF THIS PERTAINS TO MY CASE . THANK YOU *TR

I ADVISED FORD THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THIS SAME ISSUE ONLINE AND FOUND A RECALL. FORD REFUSES TO FIX IT FROM FORD DEALERSHIP LEVEL TO CUSTOMER RELATIONS LEVEL. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE UNKNOWN HOW LONG AGO IT STARTED.

I HAVE A 2001 FORD F-150 THAT I PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2001. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE ENTIRE FRAME IS RUSTED AND I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE TRUCK. IT HAS ALREADY HAD THE GAS TANK STRAP RECALL FIXED. I FOUND SEVERAL SPOTS THAT LOOK AS IF THE FRAME IS DETERIORATING FROM RUST.
