2010 FORD F150 STALLS WHEN GOING SLOW, AND TURNING LEFT. THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND I LOST ALL POWER I HAD TO PUT IN PARK AND RESTART. TOOK ABOUT 5 TRIES FOR THE TRUCK TO RESTART. IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN ABOUT FIVE MINUTES LATER WHILE MAKING ANOTHER LEFT TURN. ALSO, DIED WHEN I WAS SITTING AT A LIGHT PREPARING TO TURN RIGHT.
I WAS PARKED IN MY VEHICLE, WAS ABOUT 25 DEGREES OUTSIDE I HAD MY REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER ON AFTER ABOUT 10 MINS OF BEING ON THE BACK GLASS PASSENGER SIDE POPPED.
I WAS DRIVING THIS MORNING WITH THE TEMPERTURE AROUND 30DEGREES. I TURNED ON MY REAR DEFROST TO THAW MY MIRRORS AND REAR GLASS OF FROST. WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF LEAVING MY DRIVEWAY, WHILE DRIVING I HEARD A LARGE POP THAT RESEMBLED A GUN SHOT, MY DAUGHTER STARTED SCREAMING AND STATED MY BACK WINDOW HAD BROKEN. THERE ARE BURN MARKS ON THE DEFROST CONTACTS, SHARDS OF SAFETY GLASS OFF OF MY WINDOW THAT SHOT OUT WHEN EXPLODED WITH MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE REAR SEAT AND HER CAR SEAT. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION APPROX 55 MPH. THE SOUND ALONE CAUSED ME TO LOCK UP MY BRAKES OUT OF INSTINCT TO INVESTIGATE THE LOUD NOISE THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT AND TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED! THERE WAS A BURNING SMELL OF WHAT SMELT LIKE ELECTRICAL WIRE BURNING PRESENT WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND MINIMAL SMOKE IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE.
TAKATA INFLATORS???? INVOLVED IN A FRONT IMPACT COLLISION, THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. I RECEIVED MINOR LACERATIONS ON BOTH MY FIGHT HAND AND LEFT ARM FROM DEBRIS FROM THE AIRBAG. ONE SMALL PIECE WAS STILL EMBEDDED IN MY RIGHT HAND. OTHER THAN THE DEBRIS, THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT WAS AS IT SHOULD BE.
IT WAS 7 DEGREES THIS MORNING AND THERE WAS ICE ON MY REAR WINDOW. I TURNED ON THE ELECTRIC DEFROST AND ABOUT 5 MINUTES LATER I HEAR A LOUD BANG. THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED / SHATTERED INTO PIECES. WE CALLED FORD AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION OR ADDRES IT IN ANY WAY.
JANUARY 16, 2016 DRIVING IN THE FORD F150, TEMPERATURE ABOUT 55 DEGREES, WINDOWS WERE FOGGED A LITTLE, USED THE DEFROSTERS. HEARD A LOUD BANG, LOOKED AROUND TO SEE THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED.
BRAKE PADS ARE NOT LASTING MORE THAN ONE YEAR AND IS LOSING BRAKE FLUID.
4TH TIME IN LESS THAN A YEAR MY POWER STEERING HOSE HAS BLOWN OFF WHEN I START THE TRUCK WHEN THE TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES F. IT WAS DOUBLE CLAMPED AND BEEN REPAIRED BY PROFESSIONALS MULTIPLE TIMES. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED AND FIXED.
WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE ON A COLD MORNING, I ENGAGED THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER. THE CAR WAS IN TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE ON WI HWY 45 TRAVELLING 70 MPH. SHORTLY 2-5 MINUTES OF TURNING ON THE ELECTRIC DEFROSTER, THE GLASS SHATTERED RATHER VIOLENTLY SENDING GLASS INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AND TRUCK BED.
I WAS DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY, AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, ATTEMPTING TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE. WHEN I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR IT GOT STUCK, THE GAS PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND TRUCK ACCELERATED RAPIDLY ON IT'S OWN. I MASHED THE BRAKES TO THE FLOOR AND THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV AND OVER POWER THE BRAKES. I PUT MY TRUCK IN NEUTRAL, AND AFTER AN ABRUPT JERK, I PULLED OVER TO THE FAR LANE AS THE TIRES SCREECHED TO A STOP. THERE WAS NO SHOULDER AND THERE WERE GUARD RAILS BLOCKING ME FROM GETTING TO THE MEDIAN AND NO EXITS NEARBY, ALL THE WHILE THE TRUCK IS CONTINUING TO REV OUT. I SHUT MY TRUCK OFF WITH THE KEY, AS SOON AS I COULD, TO AVOID DAMAGING THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE HIGH RPMS. AFTER WE SAT, STOPPED, ON THE FAR LANE OF THE HIGHWAY FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS (CARS FLYING BY HONKING) I TRIED TO START THE TRUCK BACK UP AND IT WOULDN'T START, TURNED IT OVER AGAIN AND IT STARTED. OBVIOUSLY, THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, AS WE WERE ON A 4 LANE HIGHWAY WITH TRAFFIC GOING 60+ MPH ALL AROUND US, MY WIFE AND 2 SMALL CHILDREN WERE IN THE TRUCK AT THE TIME. THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF BRAKE OVERRIDE FOR AN UNINTENDED AND OUT OF CONTROL ACCELERATION LIKE WHAT WE EXPERIENCED. I WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING WITH A CRICK IN MY NECK, HOPEFULLY IT'S JUST STRESS AND NOT AN ACTUAL INJURY. I'M THANKFUL NO ONE WAS SERIOUSLY HURT. FORD, YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED, OR WORSE.
MY VEHICLE HAD TO BE SERVICED THREE TIMES AT THREE SEPARATE DEALERSHIPS LAST YEAR. DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. THIS ISSUE CAUSED THE DASHBOARD TO SHUT OFF EVEN WHILE DRIVING, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE SPEED AND FUEL LEVEL. THE AC WOULD ALSO GO OUT AND THE WINDOWS CEASED TO WORK. IF THE TRUCK WAS RUNNING WHEN THIS OCCURRED IT WOULD CONTINUE TO FUNCTION BUT WITHOUT ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONS. ONCE THE TRUCK WAS TURNED OFF, IT COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. MY VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED THREE TIMES FOR REPAIRS. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS IN DRY CREEK, LA (60MIN FROM MY HOUSE), THE SECOND OCCURRED IN NEW ORLEANS, LA JUST PRIOR TO A BUSINESS MEETING (3 HOURS FROM HOME), AND THE THIRD TIME OCCURRED WITH MY FAMILY IN OUR HOME TOWN OF LAKE CHARLES. BOLTON FORD MADE IT SEEM IT LIKE IT WAS ME WHO CAUSED THE PROBLEM. THE TRUCK HASN'T HAD AN ISSUE YET BUT WE SHALL SEE. DEALING WITH FORD CONCERNING THIS ISSUE WAS AN ORDEAL I HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO REPEAT. I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE TRUCK SINCE THREE DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS CONDUCTED THREE DIFFERENT REPAIRS.
WHILE DRIVING I TURNED ON THE DEFROSTER FOR THE BACK WINDOW AND APPROX. 1 MINUTE LATER THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR SECTION OF THE BACK WINDOW SHATTERED I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 25 MILES AN HOUR AFTER MAKING A TURN THIS HAPPENED. *JS
WIFE WAS DRIVING HOME ON A 30 DEGREE SNOWY DAY WITH REAR DEFROSTER ON. BACKED INTO THE GARAGE AND AS SHE TURNED THE TRUCK OFF A LOT BANG OCCURRED. I WAS IN THE GARAGE AT THE TIME AND REALIZED THE PASSENGER REAR WINDOW SPIDER CRACKED AND ESSENTIALLY SHATTERED. FORD SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL, HAD REPLACED THE NEXT DAY FOR 600 DOLLARS.
WHILE DRIVING MY FORD F150 ON A STATE HIGHWAY I TURNED ON THE DEFROST SWITCH FOR THE REAR WINDOW. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES TIME THE REAR WINDOW PANEL SHATTERED WITH A LOUD POP EXPELLING GLASS SHARDES OVER THE REAR SEATING AREA. A SMELL OF BURNING PLASTIC ACCOMPANIED THIS INCIDENT CAUSING ME AND MY FAMILY TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND EVACUATE THE VEHICLE. THIS TRUCK HAS 58000 MILES ON IT AND FORD SAYS ITS NOT THERE PROBLEM ALTHOUGH AFTER RESEARCHING THIS MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME EXPERIENCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER LEAKED INSIDE THE VEHICLE DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE LEAK ORIGINATED FROM THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, I TURNED ON THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER TO MELT SOME SNOW ON THAT WINDOW. NO CARS IN SIGHT IN EITHER DIRECTION. SUDDENLY THERE WAS A LOAD NOISE (ALMOST LIKE A GUNSHOT). THE BACK SLIDING WINDOW PANEL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BLEW OUT. THERE APPEARED A HOLE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A SOFTBALL. THE REST OF THE SAME PANEL WAS SHATTERED. MY WIFE AND I LITERALLY JUMPED. SHE HOLLERED. AT FIRST WE THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD SHOT THE WINDOW. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF SOMEONE WAS SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT IN FRONT OF THE WINDOW WHEN IT BLEW. I ASKED THE MAN WHO INSTALLED THE NEW ONE AND HE SAID HE DOES ABOUT 5 OF THESE A YEAR. I CHECKED ONLINE, AND ONE WEBSITE HAD 104 COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE F150 WINDOW BLOWING OUT. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE CHECKED INTO. *JS
WHILE DRIVING ON A LOCAL ROAD (APPROX. 45 MPH, RAINING, APPROX. 50 DEGREES OUTSIDE) HEARD A SOUND THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT. LOOKED AROUND AND DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING NEXT TO ME OR BEHIND ME. WHEN NEXT STOPPED THE TRUCK GOT OUT TO CHECK TO SEE IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THE TRUCK BODY. THEN REALIZED THE PASSENGER SIDE BACK REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. (IT'S A 3-PART REAR WINDOW.) LOOKING VERY CLOSELY, THE GLASS SPIDERED, STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM CORNER CLOSEST TO THE CENTER WINDOW UP TO THE OPPOSITE TOP CORNER. THE GLASS SPIDERED INSIDE THE CAR. OUTSIDE THE GLASS, ALTHOUGH STILL INTACT, WAS BUCKLED FACING OUT. AT THE TIME THIS HAPPENED, THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER WAS ON. WHEN GOT BACK IN TRUCK TO TRAVEL HOME, DURING THE DRIVE THE WINDOW BROKE WITH SMALL PIECES OF GLASS FALLING ALL OVER THE BACK SEAT. VERY LUCKY THAT NO ONE, FAMILY OR PET, WAS IN THE BACKSEAT WHEN THIS HAPPENED AS WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT BY BROKEN GLASS. BELIEVE THIS ISSUE IS RELATED TO REAR DEFROSTER ALONG WITH GLASS MANUFACTURING. CONTACTED THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND SINCE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY THEY CAN FIX BUT AT LEAST $1000. CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY, NO RECALL AVAILABLE.
IT WAS A 45 DEGREE DAY I TURNED ON REAR DEFROSTER FOR APPROX. 10 MINUTES VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY I HEARD A LOUD POP AND PASSENGER SIDE REAR GLASS IN THE 3 PIECE UNIT WAS BLOWN OUT THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY THE SMELL OF BURNT RUBBER I HAVE READ MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE PLEASE REVIEW.
THE TRUCK MISSES AT AN IDLE AND WE ALSO HAD TO HAVE THE DRIVE SHAFT REPLACED.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT ABOUT 65 MPH. I WAS THE ONLY VEHICLE IN TRAFFIC. AS I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD WITH THE REAR AND FRONT DEFROST ON, MY DRIVER SIDE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED AND HAD SPIDER WEB CRACKS ALL THROUGH THE WINDOW. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE REAR WINDOWS SHATTERING. TONS OF WITNESSES COULD BE FOUND BY A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH OF 2010 F150 REAR WINDOW SHATTERING. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THERE WAS A LOUD EXPLOSION AND THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE SLIDING REAR WINDOW ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE HAD SHATTERED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DEFROSTER WAS POWERED ON AT THE TIME AND IT APPEARED AS IF THE GLASS SHATTERED WHERE THE DEFROSTER WAS ATTACHED TO THE GLASS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.

TRUCK STALLS COMING TO A STOP AT RED LIGHTS/STOP SIGNS. ALSO STALLS WHILE SIMPLY DRIVING DOWN A STREET OR HIGHWAY/INTERSTATE. AFTER SHUTTING DOWN RECENTLY (WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE), THE TRUCK WAS TOWED. I WAS TRAVELING AT 65MPH ON INTERSTATE AT THE TIME AND WAS ABLE TO DRIFT INTO EMERGENCY LANE. AFTER SEVERAL TESTS, LEARNED THERE WAS A PROBLEM IN THE FUSE BOX. THE FUSE TO THE FUEL PUMP WAS MELTED IN THE FUSE BOX. WAS TOLD THE FUEL PUMP ON THESE YEARS PULLS MORE THAN REQUIRED AMPS AND IS OVERHEATING THE FUSE AND MELTING IT. WAS TOLD THE FUSE BOX WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AND FORD HAS A 4 TO 6 WEEK BACK ORDER ON THESE. BECAUSE OF SO MANY ISSUES. NOT FAIR FOR CONSUMERS TO PAY FOR THIS ENGINEERING MISTAKE.
BOUGHT A USED 2010 F-150 SUPERCREW 4X4 5.4L 3V ENGINE WITH 38,600 MILES ON IT, FIRST WEEK IT DROVE FINE. BUT THEN. IT STALLED FOR THE FIRST TIME, AND CONTINUED TO DO SO, FINALLY GOT A ENGINE LIGHT, AND REPLACED O2 SENSORS, DIDN'T HELP, NOW DEALERSHIP DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO FIX!!! SO SCARY AND DANGEROUS!! PLEASE FORCE ACTION! THIS VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. STALLS OUT/ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING!!!!!!! LOSES POWER STEERING, AND ALL CONTROL!!! ABSOLUTELY DUMBFOUNDED THAT THIS HASN'T SEEN A RECALL WITH SO MANY SIMILAR OCCURRENCES!!! SO DISAPPOINTED! I'M SCARED TO DEATH TO DRIVE MY NEW CAR.
EARLIER THIS WEEK, MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING TO WORK WITH THE REAR DEFROST ON, SUDDENLY HE HEARD A LOUD POP, LOOKED BACK AND THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE GLASS PANEL WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED, BUT INTACT. NO HOLES. NO VISIBLE DAMAGE. JUST SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED. IT'S GOING TO COST ME 600$ TO REPLACE! HOW IS THIS NOT RECALLED OR COVERED? I AM DONE WITH FORD. GETTING RID OF THIS TRUCK ASAP.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW SHATTERED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,500.
EXPLODING REAR GLASS. DRIVING THRU KANSAS AND ENCOUNTERED SOME FREEZING RAIN. I ACTIVATED THE HEATED MIRRORS AND REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER AS THE TEMP OUTSIDE WAS AROUND 25 DEGREES. I WAS TRAVELING AROUND 40MPH IN THE INTERSTATE AT THE TIME, A FEW MINUTES AFTER I HAD ACTIVATED THE DEFROSTER WE HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT. AFTER A QUICK LOOK AROUND WE NOTICED ONE SECTION OF THE REAR WINDOW HAD EXPLODED. MY YOUNG DAUGHTER WAS IN HER CAR SEAT DIRECTLY UNDER THE WINDOW AND HAD SMALL SHARDS OF GLASS IN HER HAIR. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE WE HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL YEAR BUT THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DEFECT. WE ARE HOPING FOR A NHTSA INTERVENTION FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE,

THOUGHT SOMETHING HIT THE TRUCK UPON INVESTIGATION FOUND REAR PASSENGER SIDE SECTION OF BACK GLASS SHATTERED BUT STILL IN PLACE. GOOGLED PROBLEM ON INTERNET AND FOUND MANY OTHER INSTANCES THAT HAD THIS SAME ISSUE ON SEVERAL FORUMS. NO SIGNS OF IMPACT WHERE ANYTHING HIT THE WINDOW. *TR
2010 FORD F150 PLATINUM LEFT REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WHEN USING REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER. TURNED DEFROSTER ON AND HEARD A LOUD CRACK AFTER APPROX 3 MINUTES USE. 11/21/2015. SIMILAR TO OTHER SCENARIOS AND REPLIES POSTED HERE BUT I HAVE ADDED SOME PHOTOS. IT WOULD APPEAR A WATER LEAK HAS CAUSED WATER TO BUILD UP IN THE TRACK AND SHORTED THE CIRCUIT. 1ST IMAGE OF SHATTERED WINDOW. 2ND IMAGE OF MELTED WINDOW CASING.
THE TRUCK WILL JUST STALL WITH NO WARNING AND NO ENGINE ERROR CODES. I WAS GOING FROM A STOP TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN AND STALLED IN MIDDLE OF 4 LANE HIGHWAY. I HAD TO PUT THE ENGINE IN PARK AND START THE ENGINE IN ORDER TO GET OUT OF THE HIGHWAY. MY NEPHEW WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK A WEEK PRIOR AND IT STALLED AT A STOP LIGHT AND PROCEEDED TO ROLE DOWN A HILL. HE HAD TO PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND RESTART THE ENGINE. IT DOES NOT PRODUCE ANY ENGINE ERROR CODES. THE TRUCK WILL BE RUNNING JUST FINE THEN THE ENGINE WILL JUST QUIT. RESEARCHING ONLINE FOR FORD 5.4L F150 ENGINE STALLS IT APPEARS OTHER PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR ISSUES. I TOOK IT THE OTHER DAY AND IT WAS STATED THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THEN THEY SAID IT COULD BE A O2 SENSOR. MY EXPERIENCE WITH FAULTY O2 SENSORS IS USUALLY ROUGH IDLE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WHICH MY TRUCK DOES NOT HAVE. I UNDERSTAND IT MAYBE A HARD PROBLEM TO SOLVE BUT IT APPEARS THAT THIS COULD BE A BIG SAFETY PROBLEM DUE TO LOSS OF POWER.

THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM SHAFT WAS FAILING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 59,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I TURNED ON MY DEFROST ON MY REAR TRUCK WINDOW, LET THE TRUCK WARM UP AS IT WAS -5, STARTED TO DRIVE DOWN THE STREET, DOING 50 KM, HEARD A LOUD "POP" AND THE BACK SLIDING WINDOW SHATTERED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. LUCKILY IT STAYED INTACT AS I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK. I STOPPED AT FORD TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO, AS I RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM AND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS SAME ISSUE WITH THE FORD TRUCKS. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT FORD SAID HE COULND'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME AS I NO LONGER HAD WARRANTY. HE WANTED TO CHARGE ME $1200 FOR A NEW WINDOW. I CALLED FORD MOTOR CO. AND THEY ALSO SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT (EVEN THO IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM). I HAD THE WINDOW FIXED BY AN INDEPENDENT COMPANY FOR HALF THE PRICE FORD WOULD HAVE CHARGED. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL, AS IT IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY HAZARD. THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE ON THE NHTSA SITE.

I PURCHASED A 2010 FORD F150 XLT ON 31MAY2010. ON 15 APRIL 2015, I NOTICED THAT CONDENSATION WAS ACCUMULATING ON THE INSIDE OF MY WINDSHIELD. SINCE THE WINDSHIELD HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN REPLACE, I ASSUMED THAT IT HAD A LEAK, AND HAD A NEW WINDSHIELD INSTALLED UNDER THE WARRANTY. AGAIN ON THE MORNING OF 4 MAY 2015, WATER WAS ACCUMULATED ON THE INSIDE OF MY WINDSHIELD, AGAIN THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED. ON 2 NOV 2015, THE INSIDE OF MY WINDSHIELD WAS DRIPPING WITH CONDENSATION. I GOT ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF ANYTHING OTHER THAN A BAD WINDSHIELD WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I LOCATED TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS INDICATING PROBLEMS WITH THE SATELLITE ANTENNA LEAKING AND THE THIRD BREAK LIGHT LEAKING INTO THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. I THEN TOOK MY TRUCK TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER, JOHNSON BROTHERS FORD WHO CONFIRMED THAT I DID INDEED HAVE A LEAK AT BOTH THE ANTENNA AND BREAK LIGHT, THE TRUCK WHILE ONLY HAVING 31000 MILES, WAS 5 1/2 YEARS OLD, AND OUT OF THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY PERIOD, THE EXTENDED WARRANTY DID NOT COVER THE PROBLEMS EITHER.I WAS QUOTED A COST OF $740. TO REPLACE THE LIGHT AND ANTENNA. I REPLACED THE LIGHT MY SELF, AND THEY CHARGED $440.00 TO REPLACE THE ANTENNA, I INCURRED ANOTHER COST OF $304. TO HAVE THE CARPETS REMOVED DRIED OUT, FLOOR TREATED FOR ANY MILDEW, OR MOLD, AND REINSTALLED. I COMPLAINED TO FORD, THIS IS A DESIGN ISSUE THAT HAS GONE ON SINCE 1998. FORD SHOULD BE FORCED TO DO A RECALL. I ALSO HAD A GALLON OF WATER ON MY FLOOR AFTER THE CARPETS WERE REMOVED. SOMEONE AT THE FACTORY PLACED TAPE OVER THE DRAIN HOLES OF THE FLOOR BOARD WHEN THE TRUCK WAS MADE. WHILE WE DID HAVE A LOT OF RAIN IN TEXAS THIS YEAR, WHICH MAY ACCOUNT FOR THE AMOUNT OF WATER IN THE VEHICLE, IT STILL STANDS TO REASON NO VEHICLE SHOULD BE LEAKING THRU ANTENNAS, OR BREAK LIGHTS. EVEN THE TSB'S DO NOT WORK AS MY ANTENNA HAD SILICONE ON THE ANTENNA FROM THE FACTORY. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY GOING TO WORK, ON A COLD OCTOBER MORNING. THE REAR DEFROST WAS ON AND THE RIGHT SIDE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED WITH AN INCREDIBLE POPPING SOUND
BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR, TEMPERATURE ACTUATOR, HEATING & AIR SYSTEM QUIT WORKING CORRECTLY ON DRIVER'S SIDE OF VEHICLE. APPARENTLY THIS IS AN ISSUE ON OTHER FORD MODELS. LUCKILY I WAS NOT IN A SITUATION WHERE THE WINDSHIELD WAS FOGGY OR ICY. BUT VERY CONCERNED THAT IT COULD BE A PROBLEM FOR OTHERS. IF THIS PART WOULD FAIL SOMEONE IN A ICE STORM OR VERY HUMID CONDITIONS, IT WOULD BECOME A VISION PROBLEM FOR THE DRIVER. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE SEVERAL OTHERS PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS - I DO NOT KNOW IF ANY RESULTING ACCIDENTS OCCURRED.
FUEL PUMP RELAY FUSE (#27) WILL EITHER BLOW OR MELT IN FUSE BOX. REPLACING FUSE WILL ONLY FIX PROBLEM TEMPORARILY, AS MELTED AREA IN FUSE BOX WILL CAUSE NEW FUSE TO NOT MAKE CONSISTENT CONTACT, LEADING TO VEHICLE NOT STARTING WHEN HOT, OR EVEN ENGINE CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING REALLY BAD SAFETY ISSUE. VERY DIFFICULT PROBLEM TO FIX, AS DEALERS EITHER GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND OR WANT TO REPLACE ENTIRE FUSE BOX AND ENGINE WIRING HARNESS WHICH COSTS ABOUT $2000, PARTS AND LABOR. 'SOLUTION' IS TO FIND WIRE TO RELAY IN FUSE BOX, VERY DIFFICULT, AND SPLICE IN AN INLINE FUSE. HAVE HAD MECHANIC AND TOWING FEES OVER $1000 SO FAR, AND STILL ONLY HAVE A BYPASS FUSE INSTALLED. LOCAL DEALER WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, AS THEY SEE THIS PROBLEM ALL OF THE TIME, WAS TOLD TO CALL FORD, WHICH HAD NEVER HEARD OF THE PROBLEM. ANOTHER FORD OWNER NEXT DOOR HAS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH ON A PAVED ROAD WHEN THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A HARD JOLT, THE REAR TIRES LOCKED UP AND CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP. AT FIRST I THOUGHT I HAD BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND BY ANOTHER VEHICLE BUT THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND ME. AS SOON AS THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP I APPLIED BRAKES AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. I THEN RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AT WHICH TIME I NOTICED A ORANGE WRENCH WARNING LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I PUT THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. I PUT THE VEHICLE BACK IN PARK, TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND CALLED A WRECKER SERVICE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP. MY F 150 HAD APPROXIMATELY 53,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER WHEN THIS OCCURRED. HADTHIS OCCURRD A FEW MINUTES LATER I WOULD HAVE BEEN ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN POTENTIAL FOR THIS CAUSING A DANGEROUS ACCIDENT. I HAVE NOT USED THIS VEHICLE TO PULL TRAILERS OR CARRY ANY HEAVY LOADS SINCE NEW. I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANY TRANSMISSION, BRAKE OR OTHER POWER TRAIN ISSUES SINCE OWNING THE VEHICLE NEW.
ENGINE STALLS OUT WHILE DRIVING. MY TRUCK STALLED OUT ON ME 3 TIMES ON 10/21/15, AND HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES BEFORE BUT ALWAYS ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS. ON THE 21ST, I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 5-10 MPH IN A SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT WHEN MY TRUCK STALLED FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT DAY. ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES LATER, MY TRUCK STALLED TWO MORE TIMES, ONCE AT ABOUT THE SAME SPEED AS BEFORE AND ONCE WHILE I WAS SWITCHING LANES AT ABOUT 40 MPH. THIS ALSO MEAN I HAD NO POWER STEERING AND ALMOST GOT INTO 2 ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. AFTER THE PROBLEM OCCURS, AN OIL FUNNEL LIGHT COMES ON AND THEN I SHIFT MY TRUCK MANUALLY INTO NEUTRAL AND TURN THE KEY AND MY TRUCK FIRES RIGHT BACK UP WITHOUT HESITATION. I DROVE MY TRUCK STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I LET THEM TEST AND DRIVE IT FOR 2 DAYS AND THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM, THE TRUCK DIDN'T THROW ANY CODES EITHER AND THE DEALERSHIP SAYS ITS NORMAL WHEN THE ENGINE STALLS FOR THE OIL FUNNEL LIGHT TO COME ON. I'M AT A LOSS FOR WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH MY TRUCK AND AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. IF MY TRUCK DOES THIS TO ME WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IT COULD RESULT IN A HUGE ACCIDENT.

STARTED REAR DEFROST DUE TO FOG ON THE WINDSHIELD. DROVE ABOUT 5 MILES AT 25 MPH AND HEARD A VERY LOUD POP. IT SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING HIT THE ROOF. PROCEEDED TO WORK AND LOOKED AT THE REAR GLASS. THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW WAS COMPLETELY SPIDERWEB. TAPE WAS PLACED ON THE WINDOW IN AN EFFORT TO HOLD SHARDS OF GLASS THAT WERE FALLING OFF. AS I WAS TAPING ADDITIONAL SMALL GLASS SHARDS WERE FOUND. FORD IS UNWILLING TO ADMIT THAT ANY OF THIS MIGHT BE DUE TO A PRODUCT DEFECT. THIS WILL COST AROUND 600.00 TO REPLACE AND OF COURSE A DAY OFF WORK.
THE ORIGINAL MICHELIN TIRES ON MY 2010 F-150, HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO CRACKING AROUND THE RIM ON THE INSIDE OF THE TIRE. TIRES HAD 31346 MILES AT REPLACEMENT ON 5 OCT 2015. I ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE ORIGINAL REAR SHOCKS AT 31360 MILES DUE TO ONE LEAKING AND ONE THAT WAS NOT WORKING AT ALL.

THE VEHICLE STALLED WHEN APPROACHING STOP SINGS AND WHEN SLOWING TO MAKE A SHARP TURN ON HIGHWAYS WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC BEHIND MY VEHICLE CAUSING LOSS OF BRAKES AND STEERING. I HAVE THE INVOICES IN MY POSSESSION BUT AM UNABLE TO UPLOAD.
