AS I DRIVE MY F-150 AS A DAILY DRIVER AND EVERYDAY IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM. BUT AS IT SNOWED THE OTHER DAY I PROCEEDED TO THE GROCERY STORE ON A STATE HIGHWAY AND I WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 35MPH WITH A 50 MPH POSTED SPEED LIMIT AND AS IT DOWNSHIFTED UNEXPECTEDLY I LOST CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE SPUN AROUND AND ENDED UP FACING THE WRONG WAY ON THE ROAD. THANKFULLY THERE WAS NO OTHER VEHICLES INVOLVED
POWER TRAIN COMING ON ALL TIME / BRAKE PROBLEMS/ LIGHT COMING ON ALL TIMES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS ABOVE 30 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION INDEPENDENTLY DOWNSHIFTED INTO FIRST GEAR. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY DECELERATED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. CANDY FORD (403 LANSING ST, CHARLOTTE, MI) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK IN THE MORNING WHEN I START UP MY VEHICLE.
WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT. I NOTICED MY DIGITAL ELECTRONIC GEAR DISPLAY WAS IN 5TH WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. WHEN I ACCELERATED, ALL OF SUDDEN, THE WRENCH LIGHT APPEARED AND EVERYTHING ON THE DIGITAL DISPLAY APPEARED AS (---). THE TRUCK COULD BARELY ACCELERATE. I DROVE THE TRUCK TO A SAFE AND LOCATION, WITH THE TRUCK BARELY ACCELERATING. I PARKED AND SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND PLACED IN DRIVE. THE DIGITAL ELECTRONIC GEAR WAS IN THE 3RD GEAR. MY TRUCK WOULD BARELY ACCELERATE. I WENT TO HAVE A DIAGNOSIS PERFORMED AND THE TROUBLE CODE CAME BACK AS P0720 OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND A SAFETY RISK. I'M TERRIFIED TO DRIVE ON THE INTERSTATE BECAUSE MY TRUCK MAY ALL OF SUDDEN DOWNSHIFT TO 1ST AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE A NEWBORN CHILD AND I'M TERRIFIED TO DRIVE AROUND WITH MY NEWBORN. I PURCHASE MY VEHICLE BRAND NEW AND I ONLY HAVE APPROX 83,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AS OF TODAY. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. THERE HAS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE IS A RECALL. SOME VEHICLES PRODUCED AT THIS TIME MAY BEEN LEFT OFF THIS RECALL. I FIRMLY BELIEVE MY VEHICLE WAS LEFT OFF THE RECALL LIST. I AM AWARE OF A RECALL SIMILAR TO MY INCIDENT BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED.
WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION TRANSMISSION GOES INTO FIFTH GEAR AND SPEEDOMETER GOES TO 0.ALSO VEHICLE SOMETIMES WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR UPON ACCELERATING.
STARTED VEHICLE IN GARAGE, DEPRESSED BRAKE, MOVED SHIFT SELECTOR TO REVERSE POSITION AND "R" INDICATOR DIDN'T LIGHT, VEHICLE WOULDN'T MOVE IN REVERSE. WOULD MOVE FORWARD & "D" INDICATOR LIT. TURN VEHICLE OFF, RESTARTED, MOVED SHIFT LEVER TO "R" INDICATOR AND IT LIT AND VEHICLE WOULD MOVE. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES BETWEEN 12/21/2018 & 12/25/2018. HAD FRIEND TRY SHIFTING WHILE I WATCHED REAR BACKUP LIGHTS. THEY LIT WHEN "R" WOULD LIGHT, AND WOULDN'T LIGHT WHEN "R" WOULDN'T LIGHT. ALSO ON 25TH, ALL SHIFTER POSITIONS WOULDN'T LIGHT WHEN RETURNING HOME. VERY SCARY!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
THERE WAS A RECALL / EXTENSION OF FACTORY WARRANTY FOR THE 2011 F150 RELATED TO FAILINGS OF THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR ON THE VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION LEAD FRAME. MY TRUCK HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH FAILINGS OF THE SPEED SENSOR AND THE LEAD FRAME, AND REPORTEDLY NEEDS A NEW LEAD FRAME. THE TRANSMISSION CONTROLS HAVE FORCED A DOWNSHIFT INTO FIRST GEAR, CAUSING A DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE UNIT THEN GOES INTO LIMP MODE. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM BY FORD HAS HAPPENED TO MY UNIT SEVERAL TIMES. IT HAS LED TO THE RECALL OF CERTAIN UNITS: F150'S BUILT IN THE KANSAS CITY PLANT BETWEEN 8/19/2011 THRU 3/9/2012-MINE WAS BUILT IN THIS PLANT ON 10/2011 AND SHOULD FALL UNDER THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY / RECALL, BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD MY UNIT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL, WHICH IS PUZZLING.
WHILE TURNING IN TRAFFIC MY EPAS STEERING WENT OUT ALMOST CAUSING A WRECK. I ALREADY HAD DEALERSHIP CHANGE EPAS RACK AND PINION AND I HAVE SAME PROBLEM. THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2014 TRUCKS WITH SAME ISSUE. ITS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING MY SPEEDOMETER GOES TO DASHES AND TRUCK FAILS TO SHIFT. I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT THE TRUCK OFF TO TRY AND RESET IT. IT TAKES SEVERAL TIMES OF DOING THIS TO RESET THE TRUCK.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY APPROXIMATELY MOVING AT THE SPEED OF 60 MPH THE TRANSMISSION AUTOMATICALLY DOWNSHIFTED INTO 1ST OR 2ND GEAR. CAUSING MY BACK TIRES TO LOCK UP. THIS OCCURRED AROUND 7:00 PM AFTER THE INCIDENT A WRENCH CAME UP ON MY CONTROL CENTER TELLING ME TO SERVICE THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO DROP THE VEHICLE OFF AT A FORD DEALERSHIP APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES DOWN THE ROAD. WITHIN THAT SHORT DISTANCE IT WAS STILL DOWNSHIFTING RANDOMLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED INTO SECOND GEAR AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V248000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SISK FAMILY FORD (565 OAK ST, FOREST CITY, NC 28043, 828-245-1626), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 136,000.
MOLDED LEAD FRAME AND OSS REPLACEMENT. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE MOLDED LEAD FRAME RECALL 16N02. I EXPERIENCED THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL IN MY DRIVEWAY. MY DASHBOARD LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE AND WOULD ONLY DRIVE IN FIRST GEAR. I DROVE TO A MECHANIC THAT WAS CLOSER THAN THE FORD DEALER AND WAS OFF OF BACK ROADS SO I COULD DRIVE IN FIRST GEAR. I PAID FOR THE REPAIR. I RECENTLY RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE 19S07 WHICH IS FOR PROGRAMMING THE OSS SENSOR. I ASKED TO BE REIMBURSED FOR MY REPAIR AND I WAS TOLD NO BY CRESCENT FORD & TRUCKS. THEY SAID 19S07 IS FOR PROGRAMMING ONLY. I BELIEVE FORD SHOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR THE LEAD FRAME, CONNECTOR, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID, AND THE SPEED SENSOR.
SUDDEN AND RANDOM DOWNSHIFTING. WHILE IN DRIVE, THE TRANSMISSION WILL SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFT INTO A LOWER GEAR, COMPLETELY AT RANDOM. THIS CAUSES A MAJOR LURCH AND "JUMP" IN THE TRANSMISSION AND SPEED DECREASES GREATLY. HAPPENS AT HIGH AND LOW SPEEDS. DOES NOT SEEM TO BE INDUCED BY "HARD" DRIVING OR GENTLE DRIVING. CANNOT FORCE IT TO OCCUR. HAVE NOT TAKEN IT INTO DEALER TO BE CHECKED AS NO CODES (ENGINE LIGHT OR GEAR) APPEARS. THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL ISSUE FOR OTHER F150'S BUT MY TRUCK ISN'T COVERED, BUT IS DEFINITELY HAVING THE SAME ISSUES.
WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH ON A TWO LANE BLACK TOP ROAD THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW OF MY TRUCK SUDDENLY SHATTERED. I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES WHEN I ACTIVATED THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER TO CLEAR THE REMAINING LAYER OF FROST OFF OF THE DRIVER SIDE OUTSIDE MIRROR. IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER ACTIVATING THE REAR DEFROSTER THAT I HEARD A LOUD BANG AND AFTER LOOKING AROUND THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUCK REALIZED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE PANE OF GLASS IN MY 3 PIECE SLIDING REAR WINDOW HAD SHATTERED. WHEN I CHECKED THE WINDOW THERE WAS NO OBVIOUS SCUFFS OR HOLES INDICATING THAT SOMETHING HAD STRUCK THE WINDOW. ADDITIONALLY THERE IS A BED COVER OVER THE BED AREA WHICH WOULD RULE OUT SOMETHING FLYING UP OUT OF THE BED AND STRIKING THE WINDOW. ADDITIONAL DATA: * OUTSIDE TEMP APPROXIMATELY 36 DEGREES F * REAR WINDOW CLEAR OF FROST DEFROSTER ACTIVATED TO CLEAR DRIVER SIDE MIRROR * ROAD SURFACE SMOOTH AND SPEED 55 MPH AND TRAVELING STRAIGHT. * WINDOW DID NOT FALL FROM FRAME AND SHOWS A PRONOUNCE OUTWARD BOW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO IMMEDIATELY SHIFT INTO REVERSE. IT TOOK APPROXIMATELY FIVE SECONDS FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT HAD TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM MOVING ON ITS OWN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY FIFTEEN TIMES IN TWO WEEKS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JENKINS & WYNNE FORD, HONDA, LINCOLN (2655 TRENTON RD, CLARKSVILLE, TN 37040) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V190000 (POWER TRAIN, EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-16590270. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
WHILE DRIVING, NORMAL CONDITIONS, VEHICLE DROPS FROM HIGHER GEARS TO 1ST GEAR. REAR TIRES LOCKED UP, SPEEDOMETER WENT CRAZY. CHECKED CODE P0720. HAPPENED MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. LATEST INCIDENT, TRANSMISSION MADE HARD SHIFT, SPEEDOMETER, ODOMETER AND MPG INDICATOR ALL WENT DEAD AND THE "WRENCH" ICON APPEARED ON THE DASH DISPLAY. READ CODES, CAME UP WITH P0720 AND P0722. AFTER RESTARTING, ALL GAUGES WORKED. VEHICLE WAS DRIVABLE WITH CAUTION. RESEARCHED RECALL NOTICES, FOUND 16N02 "MOLDED LEADFRAME EXTENDED WARRANTEE", BUT IT ONLY COVERS F150'S MANUFACTURED ON CERTAIN DATES AT CERTAIN PLANTS. MY TRANSMISSION IS THE SAME TYPE AND MODEL NUMBER....6R80 AS ALL F150 ECOBOOST MADE IN 2011 AND 2012. I CALLED FORD AND THEY STATED MY VIN DID NOT SHOW UP UNDER ANY RECALLS, AND I WAS NOT COVERED BECAUSE OF "STIPULATIONS". I CANNOT COMPREHEND THAT FORD WILL ONLY COVER CERTAIN CRITERIA, EVEN THOUGH THE TRANSMISSION IS THE SAME AT ALL MANUFACTURING LOCATIONS. IF A TRANSMISSION MODEL IS FAULTY, IT IS FAULTY REGARDLESS OF WHERE OR WHEN IT WAS INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE. I AM SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE, AND FIND IT DISTURBING THAT FORD WILL ALLOW THESE VEHICLES TO REMAIN ON THE ROAD WITHOUT THEM FIXING THEM, OR WORSE STILL, PASSING OFF THE COST TO THE OWNERS, MANY OF WHOM CANNOT EASILY FORK OUT THE MONEY OR TIME TO HAVE THEM FIXED AT THEIR EXPENSE. THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THESE VEHICLES WITH THIS MALFUNCTION OCCURRING ARE NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.
HEATER BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR COMMONLY FAILS PREVENTING DEFROSTER TO OPERATE, VERY COMMON WELL KNOWN PROBLEM.
WHILE DRIVING AND UNDER NO PARTICULAR COMMON CONDITIONS, THE DASHBOARD, INSTRUMENT GAUGES, INTERIOR LIGHTING, HEADLIGHTS, NAVIGATION PANEL SUDDENLY BEGIN FLASHING AND BLACKING OUT. THEN AFTER A FEW SECONDS, COME BACK TO NORMAL, BUT TYPICALLY WITH A "TRACTION CONTROL SERVICE" MESSAGE ON WITH THE TROUBLE LIGHT REMAINING ON. THIS HAPPENS ABOUT EVERY 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING. ONCE IN A WHILE, IT LASTED LONGER AND CLUNKING NOISES SEEMED TO COME FROM THE DRIVE TRAIN. HOWEVER, A FEW OCCURRENCES WERE WHILE TURNING AND THE POWER STEERING WAS OUT. I TOOK IT TO A BELLE TIRE NEARBY AND THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, SAYING THE DEALER HAD TO UPDATE THE ABS MODULE AND GAVE ME A PRINTOUT OF TSB 12-11-18 [ATTACHED SCAN]. THEY CIRCLED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES C1278 AND C1963 AS THE ONES THAT POPPED UP IN THEIR ANALYSIS. I FIND NO RECALLS OF THIS ITEM, BUT THE STEERING ISSUE IS CERTAINLY DANGEROUS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE HAD TO REMAIN PARKED FOR A WHILE AND MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS HAD TO BE MADE FOR IT TO RESTART. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILL ALEXANDER FORD LINCOLN MERCURY (801 E 32ND ST, YUMA, AZ 85365, (928) 344-2200) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND A COMPUTER RESET WAS PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE RESET MADE THINGS WORSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THE FAULT CODE FOR TIMING CHAIN P0016 CAME ON AND ENGINE SEIZED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. I LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKE POWER WHICH CAUSED ME TO ALMOST COLLIDE WITH OTHER VEHICLES TRYING TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY WITH NO POWER. AFTER FINALLY GETTING TRUCK ON THE OFF RAMP IT TOOK ALL I HAD TO GET IT TO STOP AT THE INTERSECTION PUTTING MY LIFE AND THE DRIVER OF THE SUV AT THE INTERSECTION LIFE IN DANGER.
AT APPROXIMATELY 8 IN THE MORNING ON 12/2/2018 I WAS AT A STOP GETTING READY TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, I HAD THE WINDOW DEFROSTER/HEAT ON, AS WELL AS THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER. OVER THE LAST YEAR THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER LIGHT HAS ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY BUT THE DEFROSTER HAS ALWAYS WORKED. AS I STARTED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE, I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD THROWN SOMETHING AT MY TRUCK, BUT DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY. WHEN I GOT TO MY DESTINATION LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AND ABOUT A MILE LATER, I GOT OUT AND LOOKED AT THE ROOF FOR ANY SIGN OF SOMETHING HITTING THE ROOF, WHEN I NOTICED A STEADY TRAIL OF SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR WINDOW AREA, NOTICED THAT THE RUBBER HAD MELTED AND THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW HAD SHATTERED COMPLETELY. I BELIEVE THIS IS DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER CIRCUIT, I HAVE SINCE REMOVED THE FUSE FOR THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER WHICH DISABLES MY MIRROR HEATERS. I REQUEST THAT NHTSA INVESTIGATES THIS FURTHER AS THERE HAVE BEEN THOUSANDS OF CASES OF THIS ISSUE AND IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND FORD IS AWARE OF IT. IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS IT COULD HARM A CHILD OR SOMEONE SITTING IN THE BACKSEAT IF THE GLASS SHATTERS AND BLOWS OUT OF THE FRAME AS WELL AS SCARING SOMEONE CAUSING THEM TO REACT BY BRAKING, STEERING, ETC. AND POSSIBLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. AS FAR AS I KNOW, FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL AND HAS DENIED RESPONSIBILITY. THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED FREE OF CHARGE ON FORD'S BEHALF BASED ON THE FACT THAT IT IS A KNOWN MANUFACTURER DEFECT.

IN ADDITION, THE RPM GAUGE DECREASED TO ZERO AND THE WRENCH SYMBOL ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V248000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 181,000.
MY 2011 FORD F150 3.5 L ECOBOOST HAS SUFFERED A PROBLEMATIC OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR ISSUE (ERROR CODE P0722) WHERE MY TRUCK WILL SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFT TO 1ST GEAR. THE SPEEDOMETER SHOWS ME GOING 'ZERO' AND THE ODOMETER SHOWS DASHES INSTEAD OF THE MILEAGE. A COUPLE TIMES I WAS GOING HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN THE DOWNSHIFT HAPPENED CAUSING A LOT OF CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY! I RESEARCHED THIS AND LEARNED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT ONLY IF THE TRUCK WAS MANUFACTURED IN DEARBORN OR KANSAS CITY, WHICH MINE WAS NOT. (TSB13-6-8) MY MECHANIC NOW TELLS ME THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS GROWN, THAT I NOW NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. HE QUOTED ME $7,500 TO FIX THIS. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY BUT DON'T HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO GET IT FIXED. IF THIS PROBLEM WAS ONLY IN THE TWO FORE-MENTIONED FACTORIES, THEN WHY DID I SUFFER THE SAME ISSUE? THAT MAKES NO SENSE. I SUSPECT THE PROBLEM IS MORE WIDESPREAD THEN JUST TRUCKS FROM DEARBORN OR KC.... I NEED HELP, FORD!
EARLY ONE MORNING WHEN IT WAS AROUND 27 DEGREES OUT I STARTED MY 2011 F-150 AND LET IT RUN ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO WARM UP. I USED MY REMOTE START, WHICH TURNS ON THE WINDOW DEFROSTERS. FORD DOES NOT COVER THE GLASS ON THERE VEHICLES IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, EVEN ON THERE NEWEST MODELS, AND APPARENTLY REFUSES TO FIX OR RATHER, REPLACE THESE WINDOWS WHEN DAMAGED BY THERE INAPPROPRIATELY ADJUSTED DEFROSTER. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. I FREQUENTLY TAKE MY NEPHEWS AND 2 YEAR OLD NIECE PLACES IN THIS VEHICLE. PLACED IN THE BACK SEAT FOR OBVIOUS SAFETY REASON. NOW I DONT EVEN FEEL SAFE PUTTING THEM IN THE TRUCK AT ALL. WHAT DO YOU THINK A 2 YEAR OLD IS GOING TO DO WITH TINY SHARDS OF BROKEN GLASS? I WAS TOLD IN ORDER FOR IT TO EVEN BE CONSIDERED IT HAD TO BE DIAGNOSED AT A CERTIFIED FORD SERVICE STATION. I TOOK MY TRUCK IN TODAY AND WAS TOLD THAT IT IS THE EXACT ISSUE THAT WAS IN THE RECALL BUT MY VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL, EVEN THOUGH MY TRUCK WAS THE SAME EXACT YEAR AND MANUFACTURED IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE WHERE SOME OF VINS WERE RECALLED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE AND I AM GRATEFUL I WAS NOT REAR ENDED ON THE INTERSTATE AS A RESULT OF THE SUDDEN DROP IN SPEED. TSB15-0061 WINDSHIELD WIPERS CONTINUE TO OPERATE IN LOW INTERMITTENT WHEN THE SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION. INSTALLED NEW WIPER/MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH TWICE AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM. 3. THE SAME TIME MY WIPERS STARTED ACTING UP MY HORN STOPPED WORKING BOTH WHEN YOU PUSH DOWN ON THE HORN SWITCH ON THE STEERING COLUMN AND WHEN YOU GO TO SET THE ALARM. I ASKED THE SERVICE MECHANICS ABOUT THIS AND I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE THE (BCM) BODY CONTROL MODULE FORD IS RECALLING SOME BCM IN FORD F150 BUT DOESNT SHOW UP WHEN I PUT MY VIN NUMBER IN.

TRANSMISSION TRIES TO COMPENSATE AND DOWNSHIFTS DRASTICALLY CAUSING A VERY HARD SHIFT AND SLOW DOWN IN TRAFFIC. THEN THE SPEEDOMETER WILL GO BACK TO NORMAL SPEED. VERY EASILY COULD BE REAR-ENDED IN A HEAVY TRAFFIC SITUATION. HAVE TAKEN TO TWO DIFFERENT FORD DEALERS OVER THE LAST MONTH WHO SAY THE SAME THING, THAT IT SHOULD RECEIVE A MOLDED LEADFRAME REPLACEMENT, BUT MY VIN IS NOT LISTED IN THE RECALL (16N02). MY VIN MATCHES THE SAME YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, MANUFACTURING PLANT, AND MANUFACTURING DATES WITH THE RECALL. I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE MAY BE DIFFERENT PARTS, BUT IT IS MY FIRM BELIEF THAT SOME VEHICLES WERE LEFT OUT OF THE RECALL.
