TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TAIL LIGHT AND TURN SIGNAL FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULLINAX FORD OF MOBILE (7311 AIRPORT BLVD, MOBILE, AL 36608, (251) 344-4000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO PROVIDED THE SAME DIAGNOSIS AS THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,234.
WHEN THE "SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK" LIGHT INDICATOR LIGHTS UP, WHEN YOU ACTUATE THE TURN SIGNAL LEVER, THE TURN SIGNALS WILL ONLY FLASH ONCE, AND THEN THEY STOP FLASHING. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR MOVING AT ANY TIME.
