We had recall work on the truck done on Nov 14, 2024 for the power train randomly downshifting to 1st gear without warning. Yesterday, Nov 30, 2024, I was exiting the hi-way at approximately 50 mph when the truck jerked, tires squealed, throws me to the steering wheel, and goes to limp mode. I was able to get it into a nearby parking lot and turned it off. The truck will not start now. This is exactly what the recall said it was supposed to fix.

Service advancetrac warning has been coming on excessively and ford has known this a problem in the majority of their F150s, for says it needs steering rack replacement and its a known issue
1 WAS DRIVING 55 MPH & IT LOCKED UP ON ME SHIFTED INTO 1ST GEAR & IS NOW STUCK IN 1ST GEAR. I ALMOSTED WRECKED LUCKELY I WASN'T FAR FROM HOME & IT'S BEEN PARKED SINCE.
I was recently driving on the freeway in the #1 lane when my 2013 F150 began to experience a loss of power. While traveling at 70 mph, I noticed that my transmission had shifted and was stuck in 5th gear. I continued to depress the accelerator with no response. I then felt a sudden jolt from the transmission shifting to a lower gear and continued to travel. There was no warning light indicating that the truck was experiencing a malfunction. On Nov 26th I took my truck to an authorized Ford dealership service department who performed a diagnostic test on the transmission who recommended an immediate transmission flush and service, which I scheduled immediately. While on scheduling the repairs to my vehicle I learned that there was a recall on the 2011-2013 Ford F150 trucks. I learned that NHTSA issued a recall on 2/11/2019 and 6/10/19 due to the component failure of the transmissions in those vehicles causing the loss of power while driving. Both of these recalls involved either electrical component failure or mechanical failure of the parts installed in each vehicle that involved the powertrain. I was never notified by the NHTSA or Ford Motor Corporation of the recalls on my vehicle. During a phone conversation with Ford I was told that there is no longer a recall on the 2011-2013 F150. I was also told by a representative of Ford that there is no record of Ford sending me notification of the time of the recall. Here are the recall numbers that I found: 1. 19V075000 2. 19V433000 3. 16V345000 Thank you for your consideration.
[XXX] . I was driving with cruise control at 60mph when the speedometer suddenly fell to zero and the truck jerked momentarily into low gear which schreeched the tires due to the sudden and uncontrolled deceleration. Fortunately the road was dry and no vehicles were close behind me. And fortunately I was driving (and not my wife or kids) and I wasn't in busy metro traffic which surely would have caused a multi car crash. No malfunction/idiot lights appeared in the dash display. The local mechanic read a diagnosis as the OSS and said to have Ford repair it. Ford repaired P0722 and P012B and charged me $1817.45; paid in full using my credit card. I was entering the highway at approximately 55 mph when my truck suddenly downshifted into a lower gear. The vehicles behind me had to shift lanes to avoid a collision and I had to shift lanes until the truck up shifted again. I have not scheduled an appointed with the dealership yet but plan to. There are no warning lamps or other problems prior to this incident.
Since I purchased the vehicle I have found numerous it’s that are claimed as recommended fixes as the dealer has told me. And now that I keep seeing the rear camera show up for recalls is what made me mad enough to write this. My vehicle has the rear camera that will go off and either not show anything as if I was not in reverse which I am at the time, or it just shows a blue screen. And I have seen other people complain about this on YouTube for my model/year. Also the transmission lead frame which they did end up actually saying when it went that there was a recall for this, BUT if a certain code supposedly didn’t show up on the code reader it was not covered under the warranty. Which of course mine did not have the correct code so I had to pay out of pocket. But coincidentally when I picked it up they said they gave me a discount which everyone knows when a dealer states something they are charging there is no change in the price, but that went from $1150 to $850 I believe. Also the timing chain is known to jump and cause engine failure. Next this stuff may not have to do with safety so I’m sure you will also deny responsibility for is the rear main seal is known to leak. The turbo leaks behind the passenger side front tire. And the driverside back split power heated window is known to shatter. Can anyone tell me how all these can be on the internet as problems and “recommended fixes” then now the new ones get recalls for the same issues and mine is not covered and the new ones are. Yes you can look them all up and see them for yourself. When I found the back window one I was looking to find out how to replace it myself when the first video that showed up was a guy saying he did the same thing looking for how to fix it, and seen videos of people saying that it is a recommended fix for ford. The only receipts I may have, I will look is for the transmission lead frame and the one for the back window. I will look for them. The other problems still
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle downshifted with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the same diagnostic was provided to the contact. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 167,000.
Driving to work this morning after remote starting my truck due to cold weather. 10 minutes into driving, the driver side of the 3-piece power slide rear glass shattered with no impact or any other damage. Online searching indicates it is a frequent problem and likely caused by the rear glass defroster.
Ford recalled 107,850 2013 Ford F-150 trucks with 5.0-liter or 6.2-liter engines due to a transmission issue. The recall was issued on June 10, 2019, with the recall number 19V433000. The transmission could unexpectedly shift into first gear, regardless of the vehicle's speed This could cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash I took the truck to Ford to fix and they did not fix the issue after saying they did and confirming there was an issue. This appeared 2 months ago and since then I have been getting the run around from ford.
The vehicles lead frame is causing truck to down shift no matter the speed then rev super high and barely move when trying to accelerate after. Speedometer, odometer, gauges(everything on the dash) goes to 0 or disappears and a wrench pops up. Truck got towed to a dealership where they updated the pcm and told me the problem was solved. Hours later i was about to enter the highway and the truck downshifts and will hardly move. Taken to ANOTHER dealership where on the phone beforehand the guy confirmed the lead frame issue and told me everything would be fixed free of charge do to recall. Days later they tell me they cannot do it because the warranty expired? i’ve never had this problem before and truck is under 150k miles. rather upset considering how dangerous this is especially if i made it onto the highway and this seems to be a common issue.

Driving on the highway and suddenly lost total power. RPMs dropped to zero, speedometer dropped to zero. Truck attempted to downshift immediately and caused the truck to jerk aggressively. All dashboard readings disappeared, mileage, etc. Wrench displayed on screen and airbag sensor lit up. Sudden downshifting of the vehicle and jerking could have caused a wreck or loss of control of the vehicle. Potential injury to passengers/children in vehicle. Pulled on side of road and turned off the vehicle. Restarted it with no lights on dash and gauges back to normal. "Limped" truck to the Ford dealership for inspection and it was confirmed to be the Lead Frame Sensor by stored code reading.
I lost my speedometer, mileage reading go out along with losing 1st 2nd and 6th gear. I got home turned it off and turned it back on and everything started working again. From what I read this is the same problem that ford had and did a recall on 1.2 million of the same year of truck. But my truck doesn’t show it was recalled

Truck has been recalled for a lead frame issue with a 19N01 recall for csp ford refuses to fix the issue stating it's outside of warranty but truck will go into 5th gear and then slam down to first while driving, occasionally the transmission speed sensor fails due to this and trans won't shift out of 5th gear at all. This is happening with several years of the f150 series and ford isn't doing anything about it the f150s are hazardous on the road
I had the transmission issue that's been reported of downshifting to 1st gear will traveling at speeds around 65 mph and recalled on F150 trucks, but for some reason my truck was never under recall so I had to pay $5700 for a new transmission before it killed me. If I had the same issue that has been recalled, why wasn't I covered under the recall?

Vehicle dash lights will come on while driving (wrench light specifically) and vehicle looses all power and drops to 0 RPM 0 Speed. This has happened multiple times and is extremely dangerous! After 4 months, we finally got our appointment at a Ford dealership where they diagnosed the lead frame needs to be replaced. Truck is a 2013 Ford F150 with 114,000 miles and there is a bulletin for this concern but the truck is out of warranty by age. The total bill is $1,769.54 and I contacted Ford to see if they would help for customer satisfaction and was told no.
Transmission molded leadframe. At highway speeds, transmission would shift to first. Possible rear end accident. Yes, Ford is well aware of the issue. The part allowed debris to reach contact points which eventually corroded causing issues that could have caused injury to occupants. Yes, the component was inspected by Ford dealer. Code PO720 identified to confirm issue. No warning lamps or messages. First appeared in my truck October 2024

I took my 2013 Ford F150 in on Feb. 15, 2019 due to a recall. They reprogrammed the software, only took a few minutes. This is recall #19S07. It was due to the truck possibly shifting from any gear into first gear suddenly. Very dangerous. I did not have that problem before or since the recall until one week ago. Pulling onto the highway, RPM's went very high (3500-4000) even though I was only going est. 25 MPH. My speedometer showed "0". This problem comes and goes and now I feel completely unsafe driving my truck. I contacted Ford customer service and I do not think they will fix this unless I cover the tab. I feel that this is unfair. I have taken it in and left it all day but they did not get to it, my local Ford dealer is out until mid November for service. My truck now gets stuck in first gear or downshifts into first gear and the instrument display goes wacky, no speedometer, etc. I noticed a green wrench icon light up yesterday when this happened. Over 1.2 million F-150's had this problem. Over 100,000 trucks did not receive the proper PCU reprogram and need new reprogramming. I believe my truck is one of these as I am now having the exact issues that the recall was supposed to solve. Fortunately, I have not been travelling at high speeds when this happens but this problem can cause the transmission to shift from any gear at any speed into first gear, which could be life threatening. According to Ford, it is the powertrain control module software that causes this problem. Trucks built at Dearborn Assembly Plant, 4/28, 2010 to 10/28, 2013 and Kansas City Assembly Plant, 5/18, 2010 to 11/18, 2013 have this problem. My truck's manufacture date is March 2013 so it falls into both of these timeframes. I feel that this is a severe safety issue and could result in serious injury or even death. I think that because the 2019 service recall did not solve the issue, since my truck has these exact things going on with it, Ford is responsible. Thnx
the transmission cooling lines broke and caused the transmission to size

I was traveling 55 mph on highway when without any warning or hesitation the truck on its own down shifted to 2nd gear, resulting in the rear end of truck to swing all the way around turning me a whole 45 degrees! I was very lucky to have been able to pull out of the fish tailing act caused by the down shifted at such a high speed. I had to tow it home from there bc the transmission would then be stuck in 5th gear and randomly shift to 2nd with a bad jerking motion. My local ford dealership told me the recall has expired for my truck?!?!?
Sudden downshifting while driving relating to transmission lead frame failure
