The drivers airbag cover is cracked. This has happened to everyone I have talked to with the same vehicle. Also is a topic on many f150 public forums. I think this should be addressed by Ford.
On 07-15-2023 A girl rana stop sign and hit my truck quite hard on the Drivers side just in front of the door. It was so violent that my head, shoulder, arm, and left hand shattered the drivers window in each place they hit. Pictures show all 4 definitive places where each body part hit. I incurred a fracture on my left hand, shoulder, and head pain. I had to really force the drivers door open. It bent the front end around and I had to force the passenger door open. The side airbags didn't deploy. At the time of the accident all I felt was my hand and was slightly dizzy but didn't feel like I needed medical attention. The next day I knew I needed medical attention and went to the urgent care. I am now getting unusual headaches on the left and rear side of my head. I do not normally get headaches and am rarely ever sick. I have an appointment with my doctor to get checked out on Monday. I really feel that the side airbags should have deployed. Why even have them if they done deploy.
AIRBAG WARNING FAILURE A know issue with Ford F-150 and other products with the Blind Spot senor module in the rear tail lights. The vehicle has an issue with water or fluid leaking into the tail light housing causing many of the advanced features to stop working. The vehicle shows a Blind Spot Sensor Failure, Cross Traffic Sensor Failure, Front Windows will not operate, Air Conditioner stops working , Radio works but nothing can be changed and worst of all the "The Air Bag Failure Warning Light" comes on rendering the vehicle unsafe for roadway operations. The Internet (You Tube and other sites )document the failure and how to fix it. It is not confined to just My 2017 F-150 but plagues many other year and model ford products. My truck is currently at Bluebonnet Motors the Authorized and Sales Dealer for this Truck, they have confirmed the issue and are awaiting parts to repair it. They have quoted about $1,850 for parts and labor. [XXX] the service writer and myself witnessed these failures in the service reception area while checking the truck in for service. This problem puts many people at risk (including myself) if they are unaware of the entire system failures. Should a crash occur the occupants may not be provided with air bag deployment , which could result in possible injuries or death. I have not been made aware of Ford Motor Company or the dealership acknowledging this serious safety concern. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Symptoms of clock spring failure in steering wheel (buttons only working on half of steering wheel, horn not working). There are recalls for this same issue on other model fords where at appears the airbag may be implicated. There is no recall for this on my model year, and ford could not provide insight as to whether my airbag was also implicated

I PURCHASED A CERTIFIED USED FORD F150 FROM FULLERTON FORD IN SOMERVILLE, NJ 3/13/2020. THERE WERE MULTIPLE REPAIRS TO BE MADE ON THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO ME TAKING POSSESSION THAT WERE NOT COMPLETED. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO SUBJECT TO RECALL 18V-568 WHICH WAS ALSO NOT COMPLETED. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO DO ANY OF THE WORK THEY AGREED TO DO AND THEN REFUSED TO ANSWER ANY INQUIRIES BY ME AND I ULTIMATELY HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALER TO HAVE TO RECALL WORK DONE.
AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING A FRONT IMPACT CRASH. I WAS TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY 127 IN FRANKFORT KY WHEN I NOTICED A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME HIT THEIR BRAKES GOING THROUGH A GREEN LIGHT. MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY PARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY, AS I CAME OUT FROM MY HOUSE (AROUND 8PM) I NOTICED THE WINDOWS LOOKED VERY DARK AND I COULD NOT SEE IN THE TRUCK. I OPENED THE DRIVER DOOR AND WAS OVERWHELMED WITH A DENSE ELECTRICAL BURN SMELL COMING FROM THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. THE FIRE LOOKED LIKE IT STAYED NEAR THE ROOF OF THE CAB AND ORIGINATE FROM BOTH CENTER PODIUM SEAT BELT MOUNTS. BOTH SEAT BELT MOUNTS ATTACHED TO THE REAR DOORS FOR THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER HAD EXTREME AMOUNTS OF HEAT ORIGINATING FROM THAT AREA. THE PLASTIC AROUND BOTH THESE AREAS HAS COMPLETELY MELTED AWAY AND CAUGHT FIRE TO NEARBY WORK ITEMS ON THE BACKSEAT BENCH. SMOKE DAMAGED EVERYTHING INSIDE THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE. SMOKE COVERED ALL WINDOWS AND EVERYTHING INSIDE THE CAB. VEHICLE ELECTRIC SYSTEM STILL FUNCTIONS FOR LOCKING AND UNLOCKING DOORS. I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO START VEHICLE, SMOKE SMELL AND DAMAGE TO INTENSE TO ENTER VEHICLE. FOUND AN ARTICLE ON TOURQENEWS.COM ABOUT RELATED CASES OF FORD F 150 SEAT BELTS ELECTRICAL MECHANISM CATCHING FIRE FROM YEARS BETWEEN 2015-2018. NO RECALL ISSUED YET THAT I KNOW OF. WILL ATTACH ARTICLE IF I CAN.

I WAS SENT A RECALL NOTICE, WENT TO SUNNYVALE FORD TO TALK TO THEM ABOUT SERVICE AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND BLEW ME OFF. THEY BLAMED FORD CORPORATE AND SAID IT WASN'T THEIR PROBLEM. THEY WERE VERY INFLEXIBLE ABOUT DROPPING OFF MY VEHICLE AND WERE CONFRONTATIONAL AT THE SERVICE DESK AND WHEN GOING TO DROP OFF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON THE RECALL NOTICE ABOUT HOW TO ENGAGE THEM PROPERLY. NOW I'VE HAD TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE FOR EXTRA TIME IN AN UNSAFE STATE AND AM TRYING TO COORDINATE ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO DROP IT OFF AT.
WATER IS GETTING IN THE TRUCK, WETTING AND STAINING THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG, AND COMING OUT OF THE DRIVER SIDE GRAB HANDLE, RUNNING DOWN THE ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT PANEL. THIS IS MOST APPARENT WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED ON AN INCLINE DURING A RAIN STORM, WITH THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE LOWER THAN THE BACK.
