The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine did not accelerate when gas was depressed, the vehicle inadvertently stalled and lost motive power. The vehicle did restart and was driven to the dealer where it was diagnosed as cam phasers failure and cam phasers needed replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 106,000.
The Ford Sync 3 "head unit" or whatever they call it nowadays locks up. When going in reverse the camera will either sometimes completely glitch and show "static", or sometimes a black screen and nothing. The rearview camera will also stay on when pulling away after reversing, which obviously can be very distracting. This has been glitching for almost two years, but has gotten worse and worse to the point now where it is almost every single time the rear camera is used. It will not factory reset, that locks as well. This is a very well known issue by Ford, and yet they do nothing about it. It is a very common complaint in online forums etc., someone needs to force Ford's hand to do these repairs, which can cost well over $1000, in many cases closer to 2k or more.
There is, and has been, a consistent rattle sound from the waste gates and all I was told was that Ford knows about the issue and states that it is normal operation yet it can cause damage and reduce performance and could cause a safety issue if it fails and allows no power to be delivered especially if the failure occurs on an interstate. All I’ve been told is the issue can be addressed with a DIY fix of adding a spring but no support from Ford is given in regards to this issue. This is documented all over the forums and is a known issue plaguing the 3.5 ecoboost f150s. The next issue is in regards to the transmission shifting roughly, jerking and sometimes lagging when trying to accelerate. Currently my truck only has 88k miles and this issue has been present since roughly 60k miles and has not been addressed even though it’s been made known.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the battery warning light illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle stalled. The contact replaced the battery. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the alternator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that while the vehicle was turned on, the contact exited the vehicle, and when the contact attempted to get back inside the vehicle, the vehicle failed to unlock. The contact stated that the lights inside the vehicle were flickering. The contact attempted to use the key pad on the door to unlock the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while in reverse(R) on several occasions, the back over prevention screen was blue or black. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact believed that failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V252000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the transmission was skipping gears. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that when the failure occurred, her husband would release the accelerator pedal until the vehicle responded as needed. The contact stated that on several occasions, her husband pulled to the side of the road until the vehicle operated as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The dealer test-drove the vehicle but could not determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Hardee Ford (1305 W Danville St, South Hill, VA 23970), where the transmission fluid was flushed and the transmission cap was replaced; however, the failure recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the second dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
For the last four months, February 2023, through June, July 2023 the main computer screen will intermittently go black. This illuminates the N vehicle, NAV system, phone system, backup, cameras, Ford cameras, driver, seat, control. This vehicle was covered under a warranty. This vehicle was brought to the dealer and an error code could not be generated. The dealer states that this is the sink system. Video will be attached if this complaint form allows. Despite video the dealer will not replace the sink system. This is a danger to anyone over the age of 70 driving this vehicle or perhaps any age individual. In addition, the NAV system, directional control, Forward adaptive cruise control appears not working at the same time. This is a health and safety issue perhaps even a life endangering situation.
Tsb 22-2254, causing people's voice command and rear camera issues. There are many issues with Sync 3 on this matter. It should be a recall. They did it for the other models. 2019 f159
The transmission has failed, yes, it is currently at a Ford Dealership. Hard shifting and not shifting or accelerating. As stated above the vehicle is at a Ford dealership service department. The Ford dealership technician has inspected and diagnosed. Dash light that said see manual. Symptoms started beginning of July at which point I drove vehicle sparingly as it continued to get worse.
2019 Ford F-150 Sync programming MEMORY ISSUES Indicative Issues: * Sync no longer retains bluetooth pairing information when the engine is started. * When engine starts Sync 3 always asks: "Do you want to turn on the following features?" * Responding to "Do you want to turn on the following features?" is useless. * Any changes in settings are not retained when engine is turned off. * Screen goes black at times and only on a soft reset with Sync return. * Attempting a Master Reset will either not start or hangs indefinitely. * The backup camera will often stay on even when driving forward until a soft reset is done. * Upon engine start the radio is always on & must be turned off. Expert responses: Local Ford Dealer: The APIM is bad. $1300 fix. Ford Support: The Sync 3 update is at fault causing memory issues. The fix might be available at the end of September, 2023. [XXX] : Multitude of Ford Sync 3 users experiencing similar system failures. (See link: [XXX] ) Possible Danger: These failures render the sync 3 system useless or at least requiring constant attention between engine starts. Some of the issues occur while the vehicle is in operation. The backup camera is especially a concern) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Cam phasers issue causing the vehicle to misfire and loss of power. Vehicle at dealership over a month because the issue is common and parts are on back order, no recall from dealer. 2019 f150 5.0
VCT solenoids failed. Unit was to be covered under warranty. Parts are unavailable but I was told it was "OK" to use and operate the vehicle. The vehicle stalls and hesitates when using it. Causes an issue when crossing an intersection or in traffic. I'm concerned the vehicle will stall when crossing intersections, Have a safety fear.

Seeing the future recall for 2021-23 F-150's emergency brake issue, I have a 2019 F-150 and have experienced this issue. Moving very slowly in stop and go traffic, loud bang, vehicles skids to an immediate stop chirping the tires while in moving traffic. No warning lights on dash, wife and myself stopped forcefully by seatbelts. About 2 seconds later, vehicle moved forward and continued on. No impact by other vehicles. I have had one experience with this but please include my truck in the recall. This incident happened just before July 4th 2023. Thank you.
This complaint with the NHTSA is to bring to your attention malfunctioning Sync 3 systems caused by an Over the Air (OTA) update Ford has pushed out to vehicles without permission from owners that has caused the Sync Systems to malfunction. Backup camera screen view while driving in a forward direction and reocurring pop-up screens which require driver interaction are two primary concerns. Loss of handsfree phone and navigation functionality are secondary concerns. I believe an investigation by the NHTSA is justified. Ford issued the software update that broke my Sync 3 system. Ford has stated that no software update is currently available to fix it. Replacing the APIM will fix the Sync 3 system. Vehicles under warranty are eligible for a no-charge APIM replacement. Vehicles out of warranty, like mine, are subject to +$1000 Ford repair charge. I believe Ford is responsible to repair all Sync 3 systems that they broke. These repairs should be made regardless of warranty. This likely warrants a recall by Ford as soon as possible. Here is a link where the F-150 Community has been discussing this issue since April 2023: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/sync-3-memory-issue-538739/index34/ I have logged the issue with Ford directly as well. They are not offering to help me resolve the issue because I am out of warranty.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the vehicle made an abnormal loud rattling sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure recurred while starting the vehicle after the vehicle had been parked and turned off for a long while. The contact stated that he received a notice of Ford Campaign Number: 21B10, which he related to the failure. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the campaign. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000. The contact stated Ford remedied the issue at no cost.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that there was knocking sound coming from the front end of the vehicle at start-up. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the cam phasers had failed, and that the failure was related to a Customer Satisfaction Program included in NHTSA ID Number: 10204046 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the vehicle was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the vehicle was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
On my 2019 Ford F-150 with ~68,000 miles The 10R80 10 speed transmission was jumping out of gear while going down of the road IN 10TH GEAR GOING 58-65MPH, having to feather the gas to get it back into gear. Also during take off from a stop light the gears would slam into gear and sometimes not even go into gear causing me to not only stop traffic but abruptly change the speed of my truck which has almost caused multiple accidents. Thankfully I did not have my family in my vehicle during some of these "Close Encounters." This is an active problem with Ford and already multiple attempts for lawsuits with little traction. Someone is going to DIE and it is going to be on FORD for not addressing this issue. I brought it to Lookout Ford in Morehead City, NC. and they said it was a bad VALVE BODY, and they are seeing them more frequently by the day with ALL FORDS WITH 10R80 transmission. Finally I went to get my valve body replaced at Torque Transmission in New Bern, N.C. and got sent to Lincoln Dealership to get the new part flashed and calibrated. Once Torque Transmission picked up my truck from Lincoln, the issue was not resolved and gave him issues driving all the way back to the shop. After Torque did more research and reading Ford Bulletins they had to replace my 10R80 Transmission with a brand new one from FORD Dealership. due to my truck being over 68,000 miles I am out of pocket, but there are cases of this happening to vehicles with 20K miles all the way to 60K miles. I have the FORD Connect app and can provide picture of the numerous notifications on when my truck had a failure of gear, loss of power at stop light and during driving. Notification is called, "POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION/REDUCE POWER" I HAVE 14 NOTIFICATIONS TIME STAMPED OVER A PERIOD OF A MONTH. SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY GOING TO GET INJURED OR KILLED IF NOT RESOLVED. PLEASE DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS, THIS IS VERY SERIOUS AND VERY IMPORTANT. JUST GOOGLE THE 10R80 TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND IT WILL PROVE IT
My Synch 3 system has been acting up since I installed Fords last update. It shows the back up camera when I drive forward. The screen will also go black forcing me to reset it. The reset doesn't work for more then a couple of days and doesn't completely ix the issues either. I cannot get it to pair my phone either and have not been able to use hands free while driving for 3 months now. I believe this is a safety issue that needs to be fixed by Ford as there are numerous complaints on line.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked and occupied, the contact heard an abnormal rattling sound coming from the engine while attempting to start the vehicle. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the cam phasers need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The contact was referred to NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 111,050.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while reserving, the rearview camera failed to display an image. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the back over prevention camera module. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V252000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but was unable to assist with the repair. The failure mileage was 36,000.
After being park for over 6 hours, Truck spontaneously started to smoke, sparked, and caught fire at 1253am. This ignition was inside the engine compartment on the passenger side. All was recorded on 24hr video monitoring and my truck was in stock condition without any aftermarket parts and no warning lights on. Incidentally my truck had just been routinely serviced with the past month by the dealership and all was fine. Within minutes the truck was engulfed in flames, my neighbors and I attempted to extinguish the flames until the fire company arrived within 6 minutes. Within this short less than 15 minute window the entire engine and cab was destroyed. If this truck was parked in a garage this incident would have been catastrophic. Luckily no one was injured and the prompt response of my neighbors and the fire company prevented this from catching my home on fire. The police and fire company reviewed the video and informed me to notify any safety board and The Ford company directly. In review this problem is not new and well document in the past. There are recalls in place for the same make and model vehicles with the same fire starting in the front passenger side. Unfortunately my VIN was not included in this recall.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle jerked and hesitated while shifting gear. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed, and no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle had not been repaired by the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.
My 2019 F150 with the 10 speed transmission has several issues that I believe affect the safety and reliability of the vehicle: 1) The transmission shifts very roughly into 5th gear. The shifts are so rough that I suspect the other components of the drive train are being placed under unnecessary strain. 2) When moving forward at idle the truck will on occasion surge forward. This is a potential safety issue if it were to occur in traffic. 3) When moving forward at slow speeds the transmission periodically slips as if it was shifted into neutral. My local dealership "flashed" the software for the transmission but it did not correct the problem. I returned the truck to the dealership and they've now had it for 2 months with no resolution to the problem.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that there was an abnormal rattling sound while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was driven to the dealer however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound that was intermittent but became a constant failure. The contact drove the vehicle back to the same dealer who determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was advised by the dealer that the engine was on a national backorder. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,451.
Drivers side wiper arm is visibly loose. It does not make constant contact with the windshield Engine consumes 3 quarts of oil in less then 2k miles, it currently has 57,818 on odometer, has been regularly serviced Ford recommend 91 or above octane to curve “pinging and pre detonation”. Have run 91 octane fuel for last 5 tanks and continues to misfire and ping between 1500-2000 rpms while under no load besides the weight of the vehicle
Transmission fails to shift and truck fails to accelerate. It's very dangerous crossing the intersection when it occurs.
2019 Ford F-150 crew cab with 047763.1 miles on it while returning from Vermont has started with sever and harsh shifting at various speed, this results in a loud CLUNK followed with a hard and swift gear change. This has happened at vaious speeds from 15 mph to 75-80 mph. It feels like the transmission is about to drop/explode which could cause an accident on an interstate roadway. Spoke with Larson Ford service advisor who is aware of the 10R80 transmission issues and they will check my truck on June 7th, 2023. There has not been any warning lights/check engine lights/messages as of yet
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 50 MPH on a country road, the transmission failed to shift as needed. The transmission shifted into the fourth gear, then to the eighth gear. The shifter became stuck in fourth gear. The vehicle jerked and hesitated and shifted into neutral without driver input. The message to see the Owner’s Manual light was illuminated but turned on and off. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed the contact that it was a characteristic of the transmission and not a failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. While driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. Additionally, there were metal shavings in the clutch fluid. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000. The VIN was not available.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission erroneously upshifted and downshifted unexpectedly. The contact stated that the transmission had randomly shifted from 6th to 8th gear and from 3rd to 2nd gear unexpectedly. Additionally, while restarting the vehicle, the failure had self-corrected but the failure later reoccurred. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 130,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while in park, the vehicle accelerated independently. While driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle accelerated without the accelerator pedal being depressed. The driver was unable to control the vehicle. The check engine warning and power train warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who stated that the failure was related to the transmission. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 90,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was being started, there was a rattling sound coming from the engine compartment for several seconds. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
I took my 2019 Ford F-150 limited to Russell & Smith Ford to diagnose a loud ratel noise on cold start. Cause : Failed cam phasers. The truck has 68,250 mi and ford has this common problem with all 3.5L Ecoboost VCT cam phasers that have loud noise on cold start. If not repaired it can cause to engine failure, Ford has designed new VCT to solve the problem and issued a recall # 21n03 but I found out that they didn't include my truck vin # . I called Ford customer service and she told me that I qualified with the requirement and she con not explained why my vin # doesn't covered.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the front-end of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the cam phasers were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced Customer Satisfaction Program: 21N03, as a possible cause for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
Sent truck in to Randall Reed Ford for service recall truck sat unattended for a week with same recall defect no repairs made
Beginning 3 months ago, intermittently during in-town traffic driving, the vehicle will shut off. It happened about once a month. Three weeks ago when it did this, it said Low Charging System, so I took it to the dealer where purchased it. The Alternator tested Low, so it was replaced. Two weeks later, it died at a stoplight again & at Idle, then the Dash Message said Disengage Auto-Shut Off and Restart Engine. I called the dealer where purchased it & they came and got it. They tested it for a couple days & also had several people drive it, and they said it did fine with the Auto-Shut Off Turned On. Well this afternoon I drove it local around my own town, and it's still runs rough. It idles rough and is acting like it wants to die again at stoplights. I only way to be comfortable driving it is with the Auto-Shut-Off Disabled. In traffice at a redlight that turns green, and if you're stalled out, it's going to cause a rear-end collision. Not to mention it's hard on the battery and alternator having to keep restarting at intermittent intervals in traffic. The dealer said they drove it around their lot area, however, it doesn't do it unless drive it for 45 minutes or an hour. When discussed this with 3 area Ford Dealers, they all said it's going to be hard to find. There's no Check Engine Light or any sort of Code that can be used. They also stated it's probably something small causing it. One specific dealer stated that something else is causing this issue, and until that is found and fixed, it's going to keep doing it. The dealer that's been handling this and purchased from, did a Factory Reset on the PCM.
I tried to have my transmission fluid changed 2019 F150 5.0L with a 10R80 (10-speed automatic) transmissions. The shop was Goss garage in Crofton MD and they would not take liability to service it because the vehicle has a Technical Service Bulletin outstanding from Ford, TSB-21-2315 and I tried to call Ford Koons in Annapolis and have not got a return call. I chatted with Shakura for 20 minutes and she brought up two other TSBs and told me to talk to a dealer. I have a copy of the TSB and it looks rather involved so I’m worried why all this run around.
I HAD JUST RETURNED TO MY WORK. CUSTOMER CAME IN SAID MY TRUCK MADE A NOISE AND RIGHT SIDE DROPPED. AFTER TOWING TO DEALER THEY SAID SPRING FAILED. IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING O WHAT AN ACCIDENT. OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THIS ONLINE BUT I BELEIVE A RECALL SHOULD BE LOOKED AT. WHAT IF MY OTHER SPRINGS FAIL WHILE DRIVING? WHAT IF I DIDNT HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY THIS IS A SERIOUS CONCERN PS I DRIVE 2 MILES TO WORK MY TRUCK HAS 18700 MILES ON IT
Two instances of severe loss of transmission function occurred at highway speeds within the last 5 months. The first instance occurred on flat terrain (in Michigan) with no load in the bed of the truck. The second instance occurred in hilly terrain (Tennessee) with about 500 lbs. in the bed of the truck. In both instances the transmission started cycling/jumping between first and tenth gears and several gears in between. This cycling was very fast and repetitive. The driver was forced to quickly decelerate (remove foot from accelerator peddle, apply brakes) to maintain control and pull off the highway. It was noted in both instances that the transmission temperature had shot up to around 220 degrees F. The normal temperature for the transmission in this truck at highway speeds has been observed to be around 190 degrees F. In the second incident, the wiper functionality was lost; the wipers would only work at the highest speed. (The functionality of the wipers in the first incident was not determined.) In both instances the engine was shut off to allow the transmission temperature to cool down to within the range of 190 degress F. Once the the transmission cooled to this range, the truck could be driven because the transmission functioned properly. Also, proper wiper function was restored.
truck when approaching intersection trucks transmission goes into neutral. Causing a safety hazard This problem has been in shop 3 times with no fix also called fords main number suppled by dealer with no help from them
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the engine made rattling sounds. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the dealer on separate occasions, where it was determined that the cam phaser needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer confirmed that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.
Constant transmission issues where the shifting between certain gears was not operating correctly. The dealership performed a number of what they called “Adaptive Relearns” to try and reset the computer but it only helped for a short period before the shifting went back into the same format where it would shift improperly. I’ve been having the same issue since before the Warranty was up. I finally made then drive my truck to check the issue and they agreed it was in fact most likely a mechanical issue. I received a quotation for $6k to remove and disassemble the transmission to address a possible sleeve in the CDF drum that may have moved. Now my truck is out of Warranty so it’s out of pocket to fix it. Had this been addressed properly when I brought it in originally, it would have been fixed under Warranty.
My truck backup camera is not working. It goes black or distorted to where you can’t see anything behind you. It identical to a recall on other 2019 Ford F150s. But my truck is not on that recall. If the problem is the exact same, shouldn’t it be fixed through the recall as well?
while driving the transmission had a harsh engagement when shifting gears and when leaving from a stop later the same day the vehicle would no move when applying the acceleration pedal, then the transmission engaged after a few seconds. The transmission or Transmission Control Module (TCM) needs to be addressed.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the vehicle made an abnormal sound. The contact related the failure to Customer Satisfaction Program: 21B10 (Cam Phaser Rattle). The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the Customer Satisfaction Program: 21B10 (Cam Phaser Rattle) had expired and the dealer was unable to service the vehicle unless the contact paid out of pocket. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
Steering wheel airbag cover has been replaced twice already and has failed a third time. The plastic cover separates at the release point for the airbag, directly below the steering wheel emblem, exposing the airbag to the elements. The composition of this FORD airbag cover has changed at least once and is still failing in the new design. Dealership is refusing to provide me with service records requested 3 times.
Transmission has Almost failed and is exhibiting jerking, thud sounds, and causing small whip lash affects. Transmission was serviced a year ago and "reprogrammed" the timing. The last month the transmission started experiencing hard shifting, jerking and missing gears. I took it into the dealer again to diagnose and was told I will need a new transmission at 140k miles.
The Syn screen freezes up randomly. Often it turns black and a soft reset has to be performed. Randomly, the backup camera screen is displayed while driving forward up to about 30 mph, then the screen turns black. None of the radio presets will stay in memory. If I shut the truck off with an XM Sirius station on, when the truck is restarted 540 AM is playing loudly. The screen locking up while driving is a hazard. Multiple screens popping up that need interaction while driving is a distraction. I can't see the climate control temp setting when it locks up. The Sync APIM is bad and needs to be replaced. This is a common problem found on various forums. The date below is when it started.
Automatic transmission malfunctioned. Loss of power between 3 (third) and 4 (forth) gears. When upshifting from 3 to 4 it will experience a loss of power, however it is not consistent and seems to happen randomly. Likewise while downshifting from 4 (forth) to 3 (third) the transmission will clunk and lock-up for a 1/2 sec while the engine rpm tries to match the downshift. This has caused a loss of traction from the rear wheels while decelerating when shifting from 4 to 3. Again it is not consistent and seems to happen randomly. Vehicle has been in for complaint of these issues and dealer noted it is normal and transmission adaptive shift table needed to be reset. However this did not fix the issue. Issue is still present. There are no warning lamps or fault codes. These issues began at about 6,000 miles. I am not at over 25,000 with no resolution. Vehicle details 2019 Ford F150 3.5L EcoBoost 4x4 Lariat with the 10R80 (10 speed) transmission. Other symptoms include transmission shifting harshly and erratically between all gears, causing the vehicle to jerk, lunge, again clunk and hesitate between gears especially 3 and 4.
