The drivers side window will at times stay in the down position. The safety issue is during rain, snow or very cold conditions the driver is distracted by the down window. I did call a dealer who said this happens and I need to go thru a crazy procedure to get window up. No one has looked into this problem. The Ford dealers are well aware of this problem and there are many videos out that describe the problem. There is no for warning of a problem.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. While the contact's son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The Mobile App indicated a failure related to the power train and to reduce power. The contact's son drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road and turned off the vehicle. While the contact's son was attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle started. The vehicle was driven to the intended destination, which was approximately 30 minutes away. The following day, the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times. The contact stated that several days later, the 4WD Low warning light illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure and a diagnostic test was scheduled for the following week. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was included in Customer Satisfaction Program: 23S65/NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train). In addition, the contact had not received notification of the Customer Satisfaction Program or recall. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
My vehicle has continued to have major issues with the radio/audio system. The radio will experience an extremely loud distorted sound when I start the vehicle. It is extremely unsafe since the vehicle can't be operated while this is going on. During the worst situation, I've had to disconnect the battery in order to make the sound stop. I had the first issue happen less than 3 weeks after purchasing the truck in 2022. I had to take it to 3 different dealers in my local area, with NO REPAIR action, before I returned it to the original dealer. The Metter Ford dealer put me in a loaner vehicle while the technical engineer researched the problem. During that first problem, the software was reprogrammed and the APIM module was replaced. However, the problem has continued to this day. The last time it occurred was today, on 12/3/2025. I believe Ford released a recent software update for the BlueCruise 1.4 that possibly addressed a radio problem, but it has NOT FIXED my issue.
The electric motors in the hybrid system intermittently fault and fail completely. I get an error saying there's a powertrain/4wd system failure. There's no clear cause. I've had this in for service numerous times. I've paid for a repair that did not resolve it. They had me pay for a repair for a new alternator-generator unit ($1500). When I get this fault, the truck operates only on gas power and does not use any electric motor power. I go from ~21 mpg highway (which is lower than when new) to ~18 mph highway.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 MPH with the accelerator pedal depressed, the vehicle was hesitating before shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. There were no warning lights illuminated. The failure was intermittent at first but had become a recurring failure. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was at the independent mechanic receiving a tire replacement, the contact was informed that the rear passenger's side axle bolt was fractured and had detached. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that the part was not available to repair the vehicle. In addition, the dealer kept the bolt. The contact was advised to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer twice for inspection prior to the failure, however the contact was informed that the parts were not available. The contact was unsure of when the failure had occurred between 10/16/2025 and 10/24/2025. The contact stated that because of the failure and the parts not being available, the vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact no longer had a vehicle to drive. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train); however, the part was not available for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was informed that the parts were being manufactured. The failure mileage was approximately 40,500.
Driving on the highway at highway speeds, heard clanking then a loud bang, then vehicle would not longer respond to the accelerator so we coasted onto the median. We had the vehicle towed and found out from a Ford dealer that the rear axle had broken due to Ford's failure to repair under Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896 and that had caused damage to the rear differential. We were fortunate not to have been in or caused a significant accident. I had the vehicle at a Ford dealer in Illinois in 2024, but the recall was not performed due to lack of parts. This incident happened thereafter, in November of 2025, and the vehicle has been off of the road at a Ford dealer in Indiana since. Same story, no parts. Ford offers no timeline for repair, advising it could be 3 months, could be a year - it is indefinite. I recently was advised that there are 70,000 orders for the parts for this repair, and although I am on the "emergency off road list" that is still 15,000 orders long. Additionally, I had the vehicle in early in my ownership window for lags when the transmission shifted at certain times, it was checked and given the all clear, but - intermittently arose - given Ford representations I ignored it but never felt the delays were safe as it slowed vehicle responsiveness, albeit it slightly. I now see active litigation around these transmission issues in the F-150.
Since I've purchased the truck in 2023 I've been receiving in the mail notices about a recall for the rear-axel shaft for my 2022 f150. I am a major proponent of safety and maintenance. Year over year I've attempted to get it fixed at authorized ford dealerships but I've been told a handful of times that the parts are not available and I'm not getting the appropriate urgency required for an issue of this stature. I am embarking on a big trip and I'm concerned about my safety and the safety of others on the road.

See attached document for complaint. Almost 5 months ago I received a Safety Recall Notice from Ford about fuel pump failure on certain vehicles including my 2022 F-150. My vehicle suffers from insufficient fuel flow and I'm afraid of losing power or the motor stopping completely at freeway speeds in heavy traffic with little or no shoulder. The clear solution would be to replace the fuel pump. How can Ford be allowed after almost five months to have not fixed the problem? The fuel pump problem is beyond a reasonable amount of time to take corrective action. The local dealership has not seen a Ford remedy for the problem and I've complained twice about the pump on my vehicle. The dealership hopes to see a remedy each month. I would appreciate a response from The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on this very serious safety recall. Almost 5 months surely must be beyond a reasonable time to correct a serious safety issue. Hope to hear from you soon and Thank You in advance.
Daytime running light fails to illuminate.
A few weeks ago, while driving the vehicle, it displayed an engine misfire warning had extreme vibrations, and then the vehicle broke down, left me sitting on the side of the road. After getting the vehicle towed to a Ford dealership, we found the intake valve broke off on the motor and causes catastrophic complete engine failure. This is an active recall in 21 and 2022 F1 50s with the 2.7 eco-boost. Per Ford my Vin is not attached to that recall and they said I had to call or get a hold of the national highway safety administration and get my Vin attached that recall for engine replacement. My vehicle is a 2022 with 100,000 miles on it and now it’s broke down because the engine had catastrophic engine failure due to a problem. Ford knows about this issue and won’t fix it until I get the vehicles then attached to the recall . The current recall number is 24S55 Thank you
Loss of engine coolant resulted in overheating and need to pull off to side of highway. Issue is described in the SSM - 51485 described below 2021-2023 F-150 - 3.5L PowerBoost - Loss Of Engine Coolant Due To External Coolant Leak At The Heat Exchanger Coolant Spigots Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may experience a loss of engine coolant with possible engine overheat and/or illuminated malfunction indicator (MIL). This may be due to a crack in the exhaust heat exchanger coolant spigots on the top of the exhaust heat exchanger. The exhaust heat exchanger coolant spigots are now released and should be serviced in pairs. It is no longer necessary to replace the muffler inlet pipe assembly for this type of concern. Workshop Manual, Section 309-00D has been updated to include a new service procedure. For claiming, use causal part 18663 and applicable labor operations in Section 05 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. Heat exchanger coolant spigots - NL3Z-18663-A (2 req).
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH and stopping at a stop sign, the vehicle decelerated and downshifted from 4th to 1st gear. A clunking sound was coming from the vehicle and increased over time. No warning light was illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a diagnostic test needed to be performed to identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.

After entering my 2022 F150 Lariat in a parking lot and starting it, I placed my iPhone on the charger and I backed out of the spot I was in with my hazard lights turned on. I placed the vehicle in drive and turned off the hazard lights. As I pulled forward, a deafening sound came from the back seat of my truck that sounded like some kind of electric static with a popping noise. I reflexively pressed the break, ducked my head and tried to turn the volume knob down which did nothing. I pressed the stop/start button to shut the vehicle off and that did not change the sound coming from the door speakers. I jumped out of the truck because the sound was painful and proceeded to use a pair of pliers from a leatherman that I was carrying to disconnect the positive side of the battery; this too did nothing. At this point, I closed all of doors and searched the web on my phone to see if similar problems existed for other owners and if there was a fix. After about 8-10 minutes, the sound stopped. Based on what I read, this was a widely known issue on Ford F150 models between the years 2021-2024. Apparently, Ford has not responded to this yet. If this we’re to happen while driving, it’s would be shocking enough to cause a reflexive action that could put people in danger of a crash. I have video of this occurrence if needed.
Nothing has completely failed yet on the axel recall on my vehicle. But the bolt head has broken off. Its been over a year dealing with this recall. And woodhouse blair Nebraska is the dealership im dealing with on this, Is saying Ford is having an issue having the parts built for it. And no clue when they will have parts available for it. Something needs to be done to get the parts made for it or pay for a rental for me or buy it back and give me a good deal on something different. You can contact me at [XXX] or [XXX] . Would appreciate a reply to this. Thanks [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Hv harness failed (confirmed by dealer/manufacturer) without known reason and without warning, leaving stranded, unable to move vehicle.
I was in an accident where I broadsided a vehicle at 45 mph. The accident warning sensors didn’t activate and no airbags deployed. The accident was severe enough that my truck was deemed totaled and the other vehicle flipped upside down
the vehicle fails to accelerate when coming of a turn, the accelerator pedal does not respond for several seconds, then the vehicle lunges forward. Ford was contacted and no fix for this problem. I think this is very dangerous.

The contact had not experienced a failure.
On Acceleration from a stop at approx. 35 miles per hour the rear wheels locked up causing the vehicle to come to an abrupt screeching stop. Almost rear ended by other vehicles causing great concern for safety. According to Ford the codes that kicked off are transmission shift solenoids. This is the second time this happened, fist time was backing out of a driveway, no codes and could not detect. I have fear this could happen at higher speeds and cause great harm.
Ford had a safety recall # 23S30 for the rear light bar updated part number NL34-13N466-AE. this recall was done on my truck by the previous owner on 11/16/23 around 9400 miles. It failed again on me on [XXX] around 12000 miles. Failed again on [XXX] around 31000 miles. I found out that it failed again when someone told me that I had no backup lights. Ford is refusing to cover this 4 days out of my warranty. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Our 2022 Ford F-150 lost power while trying to proceed into an intersection. I was turning right, exiting a parking lot onto a main road trying to go north. There was a good amount of time with no traffic so I pushed the gas to proceed with my right turn. When I pushed the gas, the truck responded bringing me out into the intersection however before I could get turned the gas pedal stopped responding so I was stuck straight out on the main road with traffic that was heading north coming straight toward my driver side of my truck. I almost got T-boned by multiple vehicles. Traffic slowed and had to stop to move around my truck while I was attempting to get the truck to respond. The truck responded after about 2 minutes of being stalled. We brought the truck into our local ford dealership again (had brought it in before for this same issue described below), they kept it for about a week to try to reproduce the issue again however were not successful again. The dealer said that the truck did not throw any codes when the stall happened and there were no warning lights or messages in the vehicle at the moment that it happened to me. They are now telling us that we need to pick up our truck which we truly do not feel safe in. This is a family vehicle and our daily driver that we drive around our 3 year old child in. It not only put my life in danger that day by stalling, but it put all of the others cars headed toward me - almost T-boning me - in danger. I had a previous instance of this same issue where my truck was non-responsive, but was not on a main road so it wasn't as scary. There were also multiple other times where it experienced the same issue, but did not fully lose power (just kind of lagged when the pedal was pushed). We brought my truck into a local ford dealership for these instances of the issue but they could not reproduce the issue, therefore did not fix it. There was a recall issued for this a couple months back, however currently no fix.
My truck continues to have the radio distortion problems that it has had after numerous software updates and repair actions. Approximately the first week of November in 2022 is when the first radio problem occurred. I only had the vehicle for about a month. The radio played an extremely loud distortion sound, close to an alarm tone, immediately after starting the truck. 3 different Ford dealers attempted software updates and replacing the APIM module, but the issue came back several times. After the last Over the Air software update on SEP 17, 2025, the radio distortion has happened at least 6 times since then. The SEP 17 update specifically addressed the audio issues while using android auto. My warranty expired on July of 2025. I did not take delivery of the truck until late September because of shipping issues. Even with the delayed delivery of the truck, Ford told me that my warranty term was from JUL of 2022 to JUL of 2025. I always keep a 10mm socket in my truck in case I have to disconnect the battery in order to stop the radio distortion. In some cases, I'm able to change the radio source and the distortion will stop. Since the software update on SEP 17, the radio distortion has happened every 3 - 4 weeks. The original dealer that I purchased the truck from recommended that 2 other modules could be causing the problem. The DSP module and the ACM module could also cause the radio distortion. My truck has been out of warranty since July of 2025, but it seems like this issue should be addressed by the Ford team.
Recall 23S35 is not showing up for my vehicle even though I have the exact same issue. Dashboard alarm and message "PARK Brake Fault Service Now" and it activates my brakes. I took it to the dealership while it was still going on, even after I shut the truck off.
Ford has had my truck at the dealer for 4 weeks trying to perform recall 25V315. The update has not been successful and Ford will not give me my truck back while they try and come up with a solution. My truck did not experience any problems with the rear camera screen freezing. Other trucks are experiencing similar problems.
Seat belts do not retain child seat properly
9/17 driving home. Light rain. Put the truck in slippery mode prior to starting my drive. Truck was actually slipping and seemed to be shutting off and on. Prior to me being able to pull off to the side of the road, the truck stalled and spinned out across five lanes slamming into the barrier.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle independently applied the brakes while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
See attached document for complaint.
Transmission malfunctioned leaving me with stuck in an intersection with no power, has down shifted unexpectedly on the highway causing the truck to slow down out of nowhere, also very rough shifts at low speed. No warning lights on the dash, problem appeared intermittently but was confirmed by AutoNation Ford St Petersburg location by Ford tech. Took it to an independent transmission specialist and they also confirmed the failure and found large metal chunks in the transmission oil pan. I am out of warranty and even though it was still drive able and not giving a check engine light, I opted to replace the transmission out of pocket due to safety concerns.
Vertical part of passenger day time running light failing. The purpose of DRL is safety and being seen. This isn’t happening.
Day time running lights have burned out which the only way to fix this problem is to replace them at over 2800.00 per light. There are hundreds of forums stating that the Daytime running lights stop working and there is no financially feasible fix without complete headlight replacement. This is a safety issue that should be resolved by ford
I have a 2022 f150 2.7l with 46000 miles. I have had issues with the truck ever since I bought it. The safety issue is a few things. One when I put it in reverse my truck shudders and acts like I pressed on the break really fast several times. I also havr an issue with a cold start when I start it up the truck it acts like it wants to die or looses rpms. I here a paddling coming from the intake valves possibly. Im not sure what part is broke but it makes a rattling sound. Iv brought it to the dealership that I bought the truck from and they say we domt notice anything and its been a struggle to get them to actually thoroughly look into it. Im concerned it will lead to an engine failure because it also loses power and wants to die at times. Iv taken excellent care of the truck and always change oil and any parts on time. It also when I put it in drive makes a loud clunk sound and has a very hard time shifting gears between 3 and 4. Very rough shifting and very concerning.
Rear axle bolt has broken, creating issues in the rear end which Ford that said they do not have the parts to fix. The Ford dealership has told me it is perfectly safe to drive although the recall states could result in a crash. The Ford mechanic opened the hubcap and took the broken bolt out still saying it was safe to drive. That was six months ago. I have contacted Ford several times to get my vehicle in And they tell me they still do not have the parts. This is a huge safety issue with Ford not willing to fix the problem. They said they did not have loaner vehicles available either.
Front differential diagnosed as failed, needing a full rebuild or replacement by local Ford Dealer. The vehicle now has 70,700 miles, the noise first thought to be a wheel bearing at 60K+ miles. Safety concerns are a possibility of a failure at highway speeds,. I have reviewed similar complaints with fewer miles on similar 2022 Ford f-150 trucks having these component failures.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V315000 (Back Over Prevention) and 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the rearview camera image was black while reversing. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the dealer declined to diagnose the vehicle free of charge. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 31,002.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated there was an abnormal mildew odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the windshield was incorrectly sealed, causing a leak that caused the mold to develop. The dealer informed the contact that the leak was causing corrosion on the parts distribution box. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V486000 (Visibility); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer denied any assistance. The failure mileage was 28,000.
